One of my absolute favorite moisturizers! Excellent product for sensitive, dry, or acne prone skin.

only need a little bit

This stuff is super lightweight so I wasn't sure it would moisturize much better than other lightweight moisturizers I've tried, but my skin soaks it up right away. Most lotions just sit on my skin, but this sinks into it. I noticed a difference the next day, and over the next weeks my skin got less dehydrated and bouncier, with less redness, and no breakouts, and I've ALWAYS had breakouts! After trying so many things, I'm so happy I found something that evened out my skin. It probably won't be enough for super dry skin, but it's good for layering under other moisturizers and works well under makeup and sunscreen while moisturizing really well. I find it can be kinda stingy when applied to dry skin (I've noticed this with other hyaluronic acid moisturizers), so I put it on immediately after patting my face dry so I still have some dampness on my face. It helps the moisturizer spread around and keeps it from stinging. I love this stuff and am almost done the bottle!

A simple must have!

I love using cepaphil, whenever I try new moisturizers it never compares to how well cepaphil works. I have recently strayed away from it when I ran out so my facialist recommend to try a $45 moisturizer.. It did not moisturize my face and did not do well under makeup. Hearing how well olay works I tried that as well.... Biggest mistake ever. My skin broke out, I had flakey dry red burning skin. It was so bad that I become embarrassed to go to work or go out and putting on makeup over it just irritated and made it worse. So I went back to cepaphil, my first application I could tell that my dry skin is being moisturized and will eventually go back to normal again. I honestly recommend this for those who have sensitive acne prone skin. This is worth the money and is a product you won't regret having. The ingredients in this moisturizer is not too strong and never cause burning or redness as with more expensive brands or olay. It's delivers healthy skin :) thank you cetaphil for making me feel pretty again.

I've heard rave things about Cetaphil, and was absolutely at my wit's end with chronic dry and patchy skin on my face. I decided to give this a try, because why not; nothing else ever works for me longer than a couple months. The label says for 'dry' and 'extra dry skin', but it also touted a 'lightweight' formula, which is something I was looking to use during daytime hours, as a nightcream feels too heavy, too greasy when worn with makeup, and encourages acne when used in tandem with it.Convinced, I bought a bottle of this for what I believe was around $16 or so. And what a waste of money it was. I used this bottle for a full month straight, because I know sometimes it takes your body and your skin a little bit of time to acclimate to new products, but it was useless. This formula feels like little more than a splash of water on the face; it is thin as all get out, lasts for less than three minutes, and has a horrible smell. I really would rather have something fragrance-free on my face, but I'm not a huge fan of this full-blown chemical smell. I tried building up "coverage", so to speak, but no matter how much I use, it never feels like anything is being done for my skin. I guess the one positive thing you could say about it is that it clearly absorbs quickly. But lasting hydration is what I needed, not just a five second fix.Overall, I would not recommend this to anyone with true dry skin problems, as it simply is not enough. This probably works well for people with oily to normal skin, but it simply isn't strong enough to hydrate skin that needs repair. « less

I went to a dermatologist and she told me about Cerave and Cetaphil for my eczema, but I had acne so I was prescribed acne topical gels which would cause my skin to burn and flake on my face she recommended I buy an expensive facial moisturizer from the office. At the time it seemed like it worked, but I would still have dry patches including during the winter on face. Fast forward a couple years and I had my skin under control until I moved away for college and I had another acne flare up. I started to use the acne topical gels again that dried out my face, but I bought this facial moisturizer. This is the best facial moisturizer that I have used to date. It is lightweight and nongreasy, and does not cause me to breakout with my combo/oily skin. It has done wonders and I no longer have dry patches when I use my acne topical gels. If you're like me and have acne prone skin and are using topical gels I suggest using this because it is fairly inexpensive and works great. It does not cause me to break out and it is fragrance-free. « less

My skin is really sensitive and the most sensitive when i shower. I’ve tried many products but it seems like it’s always dry and irritated, red. I looked up reasons and one said because of hard water. I thought about getting a hard water filter for the shower but they are super expensive. Can anyone tell me if it’s worth it? I’m out of ideas and it seems to be happening after I shower making me believe the water is the problem.

I have heard that hot water can dry out your skin. How often do you shower? What products are you using? I have very sensitive skin and it gets super dry if I wash my face with hot water. It could also be that you’re not properly moisturizing your face. I use cetaphil face moisturizer. Hope this helps!
