Gentle means happy skin!

Let me start off by saying I have acne prone oily skin year round that gets more oily in the warmer months. I have heard some good on this wash, some bad and was worried to try it because my skin is sensitive and can be easily irritated by harsh ingredients and scents. However, I am enjoying this product. Everything this claims on the bottle I have found true. It does foam (just rub in your hands with a little water), cleanses good, leaves my skin feeling soft and taken care of with little if any irritation. It is important to me that any wash I use does well with my acne medication products and does not make it worse and this does do a good job. It does not interfere with whatever is going on with my skin that day just gives it a nice clean. I have tried it all from Aveeno to Neutrogena to Ponds (which gave me a bad reaction) and this foaming cleanser has given me the best results. The bottle is pretty big so it should last you a long time, and is very affordable. Target seems to have the best price. There are people out there like any product that really dislike this but give it a try. I have seen this for years and just now decided to buy it and am a happy customer. My face does not feel tight or dry, but comfortable. Of course they have other cleansers but if you have sensitive skin like mine or just want to be on the "safe side" to give the brand a try this would be a great start! I agree with all the positive ratings. Less

YES! Please Keep THIS!

First off this has been something I have always wanted to try but have never taken the chance because it is always a risk with a new product whether my skin is going to accept it or not because of my sensitive skin type. I just bought a bottle a few days ago and am currently using it. I really like how much this foams up with a little water. I only need about a dime size a little less so a little goes a long way. I am sensitive to scents so am happy this does not have one. Also I really like the kinds of ingredients in this. All good for your skin and helpful for improving overall skin condition and texture. It is a little pricy BUT I am okay with that because it is gentle, effective, cleansing, and does not cause any irritation or very little. I have acne oily prone skin especially oily in the summertime and this does not interfere with my acne and make it worse. Out of all the kinds of washes you sell this one seems to be a great fit for me and I hope you never let it go because it is becoming something I really enjoy. Leaves my skin feeling soft, clean, and taken care of. YES! And the light color packaging makes it easy to see at stores. My local Target sells this so I can repurchase when I run out. Everything about this is great. I would not change a thing. Great quality too compared to other brands that claim to be natural but are pore clogging instead. Thank you. And please keep selling this! Less

Have Cystic acne use CeraVe !

I have had cystic acne for over 10yrs unfortunately and have been to a hand full of dermatologist but it always came back. Eventually I stop going and started trying in store acne products and home remedies some helped others made the acne worst. Around May of 2018 I broke out really bad all of a sudden with these big itcthy cystic acne bumps on my neck, jawline, lower cheeks and even around my ears they were so painful. I thought after a couple weeks it would clear up but it didn’t so I tried the grandpa soap which calmed them down but they didn’t go away now it’s july and worse so I stop the grandpa soap and switched to black soap again it helped the bumps go down some but did not go away they were just lingering under my skin. Now it’s November and I’m just so upset and stressed that I have been broken out for several months with these big painful raised bumps under my skin that are very noticeable so I search YouTube for others that may be dealing with or dealt with this type of concern. I came across a young lady who had the same issue as me and to help others she recorded her morning and night facial routine which cleared her skin up so beautifully! The products were CeraVe foaming facial wash for normal to oily skin followed by Dickinson witch hazel and last CeraVe daily moisturizing lotion. I started all three products morning and night after Thanksgiving by January 2019 my skin was all cleared up along with a lot of the scars I was left with finally no more being embarrassed and hiding the sides of my face with my hair I have since cut my hair in a short style as I wanted to before the whole break out started. CeraVe is a very good gentle no fragrance cleanser it also lathers up really well all you need is one pump of it and your good to go I still have more than half bottle left. I know this is a long review but I just want to help others that may be going through what I went through as that young lady on YouTube helped me. I know everything isn’t for everyone but at least try it like I did that’s the only way to find out if something will work for you. Good luck and I thank you CeraVe for giving me clear skin again hopefully forever ! Less

I have nothing but good things to say about this product! I have acne-prone, combination/oily skin that is VERY sensitive, and this cleanser is a God-send! My face rarely gets pimples, but after purchasing the Clarisonic my face became A MESS! Yes I said a mess - I do NOT think the Clarisonic is for everyone..especially those with sensitive skin or those who have been on accutane (I was). Anyway, this cleanser is so gentle, moisturizing, and balances my skin perfect. And a bonus, it has hyaluronic acid in it!! I do not plan on switching cleansers any time soon - I use this in the morning and evening. Sometimes when I feel like I have a lot of makeup on, I will following up with Mario Badescu's enzyme gel cleanser after this cleanser just to make sure my pores are clean and not too stripped. This cleanser will however take off all makeup, and if your skin isn't super sensitive I think it's safe to double cleanse at night! I recommend this cleanser to anyone, especially those with sensitive, combination/oily skin! « less

Cerave Foaming Cleanser

Please be careful with this product! I have problems acne and excema. My skin is also very sensitive. My dermatologist started me using the Cerave line. It worked like a dream! There was only the hydrating cleanser at that time. Later I was having a acne breakout and I thought I would try the new foaming cleanser. It did not burn or sting my skin, and it did not dry out my skin, so I thought it would work out fine. But after a few days I developed a fine rash on my face. I stopped using the foaming cleanser and went back to the hydrating cleanser and the rash went away. This cleanser is not for everyone. I am not sure who should use it but it irritated my skin. Be careful if you have sensitive skin! I know that Cerave is a good line. It has done wonders for my skin and the hydrating cleanser has never harmed my skin in any way. It just leaves it fresh and clean. The moisturizer leaves it soft, smooth, and soothed. Talk to your dermatologist about which cleanser is right for your skin type and skin problems. « less

does anyone have any face cleanser recommendations for combination skin? i was using the cetaphil gentle cleanser for both face and body for all skin types and my skin was going well, but then i switched to cetaphil daily facial cleanser for normal to oily skin and now i have much more acne than before. i remember using some cerave pro foamy facial cleanser for oily skin and it worked very well but my skin was relying on moisturizer as it made it so dry. any recommendations would be appreciated!

Cerave Foaming Facial Cleanser. Normal to oily formula since you have combo skin. But, in your case the hydrating may work well. It is for normal to dry skin.

Hi! So I actually made this account in hopes of getting advice for my boyfriend! He has alot of acne breakouts, and super oily skin, and we are trying to find a face wash and moisturizer for him. If there are any recommendations for him, would glady appreciate. He also has large pores and black heads. Thanks!

I like using this cleanser for my face. It washes off your excess oils while still being gentle on your skin. You get a decent sized bottle for pretty cheap. It’s made having oily skin a lot easier for me personally. Also Cetaphil’s oil absorbing moisturizer is my go to since it’s oil free, very light and it also has spf

my skin has been acting up and in the second picture i have a lot of red spots but they aren’t acne and i have no clue where they are from. on both sides of my face i have acne spots and some scars and i need some advice on what to use to help clear my skin up. my skin type is oily and sometimes it can be combination. i currently use Biore charcoal wash, Soap and Glory vitamin C facial wash, and clean and clear morning burst facial wash. i use the Biore and Clean and Clear one after the other and just slightly wash my face with the Clean and Clear because i like how it makes my face feel refreshed and the day after i use the Soap and Glory facial wash. I switch off nights from toning my face with Thayers witch hazel and alba pineapple enzyme facial wipes. Occasionally if i have a pimple i want to go away i will use a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment or mario badescu drying lotion. i hope this gives y’all an insight on what my skin care routine looks like and what i can do to help my skin be smooth and have even toning

So i’m concerned that your skincare routine might be too stripping on your skin, which is causing your skin to act up. Biore and witch hazel are so stripping to your skin’s natural barrier so instead of getting rid of bacteria, it’s allowing more bacteria into your pores, which is why a lot of skin care experts will tell you to avoid them. I definitely agree with the person who recommended the ordinary niacinamide and zinc serum but if you use that, you need to be careful about using it with vitamin c as it can make you more prone to sun damage when combined. I would try to use more gentle face washes. I really love this one by CeraVe. It’s gentle but still gets rid of all of the dirt on my skin. I also recommend using a moisturizer that’s lightweight. First Aid Beauty has a coconut water one that provides the moisture that is being stripped from your skin but isn’t going to clog your pores. Hope this helps! :)

Cheap drugstore alternatives that will absolutely not irritate or dry out skin: Cetaphil or CeraVe cleansers! Both dermatologist recommended, get off makeup and oil and are good for sensitive skin. A washcloth or an oscillating face brush can exfoliate just fine.
