I have combination skin and I sometimes get really red. I use cerave SA cleanser and it actually helped my redness a lot but I still get pimples. Is there any other cleaners like this one but that is more tough on acne? #redness #combination #cerave

Has anyone used this to get rid of acne? I am wondering if this or the CeraVe SA Cleanser is better for cystic breakouts?

I’m not sold on CeraVe. It didn’t work for me I personally think there’s too many ingredients in their products. You want to find something simple with the least amount of ingredients so you can layer other treatments like toners, serums and spit treatments.

@Amprox NO! Neutrogena is not a good brand and that is that! It is a legacy brand that’s the only thing. Too many ingredients isn’t bad. Too many unneeded ingredients is. Show me your biochemistry diploma and we can talk ingredients.

Can anyone that has used Cerave cleansers/moisturizers or The Ordinary serums tell me how long it took to get results? I have been using these products for a month or so now and not sure if I am seeing a difference in my skin. Thanks ;) #cerave #theordinary #acnescars

I saw results within 3 days of using this. My skin was glowing and my acne cleared up without me changing any other part of my skincare.

Best night time moisturizer? I have really dry skin and I have tried so many moisturizers including vanicream, cetaphil, cerave, & more. I found cerave for the daytime with SPF however it’s $17 and comes in a small bottle. Any suggestions that are non sticky?

This is the only CeraVe product I’ve tried so far and I really like it. It’s very gentle which is good for my sensitive skin and has salicylic acid which helps control oiliness without drying out my skin.

I really like it a lot but it doesn’t take off your makeup. But it is a good one for cleansing in the morning. I really like the daily facial cleanser. I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t make it break out or anything! 😊

Hello! I’ve struggled with acne since I was 12 and it continues to be painful and unsightly at 21. I’ve used oral medication and topical creams and nothing works. I currently use Cetaphil to wash my face, Thayers witch hazel toner, Neutrogena eye cream, and the Cetaphil moisturizer during the day. At night, I use the same as above but the Cerave moisturizer and Watermelon Illuminator Overnight Serum by HanHoo. I also take the Olly, Undeniable Beauty vitamin. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. ☺️

i use lush’s fresh farmacy face cleansing bar, and then i use the mario badescu’s aloe vera toner and the oil free neutrogena grapefruit lotion and then the mario badescu’s rose water spray. it can be a little expensive but i’ve honestly noticed such a big change. investing in good skin care was the BEST thing i ever did!

Hey Lovely’s! SOS!🚨 So I wanted to find an easy way to add a SPF to my morning routine, so I decided to get the CeraVe daytime moisturizer with SPF. Normal right? WRONG! It broke me out and now my face burns a little and itches (see pics) So here’s my question: What do y’all use to add SPF to your skincare? Because this is not working!

This is absolutely amazing, it’s a gel consistency and sinks in very quickly without any sort of greasy feeling or white cast. I’ve tried more American sunscreens than I care to think about and everything single one has left me with burning skin and a rash on my face, but this one feels nice and cooling on the skin and has never caused a bad reaction for me.

I have tried MANY acne face washes including Murad, Dermalogica, CeraVe, Proactiv, and I’m currently using Proactiv MD. I’ve also tried getting acne facials and taking medication and putting many different topicals on my face given to me by my dermatologist. I’ve had really stubborn acne for 4 years, and it won’t go away! Is there a face wash that works for oily, acne prone skin?

This is honestly the best cleanser I have used! You need the SMALLEST drop, so it will last a while before you need to purchase again! It’s made my skin so clear and soft I’m obsessed!

my skin has been oily for years, i would get a pimple here and there when i usually ate one chocolate, skin has always been on the bumpy side though, and i have alot of uneven skin tone. now to try to get rid of the oils and bumpiness my sister recommend using the body shop tea tree soap, then the body shot vitamin c scrub and them the tea tree face mask and to sleep in it. i tried it and got chemical burn, completely broke me out and make my skin more sensitive to everything, i used to be able to use estee lauder double wear and now even that breaks me out. ive tried all the vitamins everyone has recommended, i tried clinique, stirvectin, hydrolic acid, now im on cerave the light blue bottle face wash, i tone put the hydrolic serum and face moisturizer im so close to giving up, my face just looks horrible now i have alot of scarring, still bumpy and red. its embarrassing, any recommendations welcomed!!

@Sandra Rivera having a good skin care regimen is always important. Making sure you cleanse and moisturize every morning and cleansing and toning every night as well. I’m using DermAware products right now for my whole skin care regimen. Has the dermatologist ever recommended chemical peels?

Anyone with acne-probe skin use this on their face? I like the Cerave PM moisturizer, but tired of spending so much on skincare products and then getting only like an ounce of product. I sometimes also get redness with the PM, and I want to see if this could be a substitute. Thanks in advance

I have combination acne prone skin. I am experiencing some dryness and irritation around my mouth. I use CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser, this niacinamide serum, spf moisturizer in the morning and CeraVe Daily Moisturizer at night, and the AHA and BHA Ordinary Chemical peel at night 1 time a week. I am wondering if anyone else has had problems with irritation from any of these products. Am I supposed to be applying the serums around my mouth?

I have combo skin too and discovered that when my skin was dried out and dehydrated it lead to more break outs. I upped my moisturizer and it helped a lot. Maybe try the Cerave Night Moisturizer? And a gentler cleanser.

@JustineAylward yes yes yes yes yes!!!! The hydrating cleanser is a must have in every medicine cabinet!!!!!! This cleanser is choc full of ceramides that will rebuild the skin and lipid barrier. Also, maybe try the CeraVe Moisturizer Pm. It’s super lightweight and will help with redness. Lastly, pls bring your niacinamide all the way down to your lips! It’s a great soothing and healing ingredient. For more healing ingredients, you can look for kaolin clay, colloidal oats, seaweed, honey, Centella Asiatica.

hey yall! I’ve been struggling with my acne, and been using this cerave cleanser! But i noticed my acne is mostly hormonal, spiking around my period. Wonder if any other ladies experience and what they use to combat it? I appreciate any help 💓 #acne #hormonal #hormone #hormonalacne #period #women #help #cerave

That particular Cerave cleanser has two parabens which interfere with hormones production. This one is paraben-free.

So I don’t really have much of a skincare routine because my skin is sensitive and dry. I use a Cerave cleanser and moisturizer and toner at night. What else should I add to my routine that would help with dryness?

So I’ve been using the dirty works creamy cleanser and it’s my holy grail because it is not only gentle on my dry skin but it helps keep the bit of acne I have in check but I’m almost done with the bottle I have and it’s a hard cleanser to find :(, so I wanted to know which cerave would most likely work for me. Usually I am sensitive to salicylic acid but the creamy cleanser had willow bark extract which was basically salicylic acid so I think I can use a cleanser that has a little of it. Someone please help a girl out 😂

What’s the deal with Cetaphil VS. CeraVe? I often get recommendations for both, so I’m wondering if there truly is one that’s “best?” For reference I have oily skin and large pores, and am acne prone.

I haven’t tried using cerave but one of my staples for my skin care is the oil absorbing moisturizer. I have oily skin and this has been really helpful for me. This helps with acne as well. I’m not sure if the formula still has spf in it. I’ve used one version with spf and one without it. But it’s definitely worth trying. Hope this helps!

Has anyone else had a bad reaction with the cerave makeup wipes? I have super sensitive skin and I tried wiping my makeup off and they did a good job but my skin felt like it was burning!! Idk what’s in it that my skin doesn’t like, bc I’m usually very good with cerave products. Looking for recommendations for some new makeup wipes!! #helpme #bestproduct #makeupremoval #skincare #discussion

This is from the app and shows some of the ingredients in the Cerave wipes that may be irritating your skin. Like I said the scale goes from 1-10 so a 5 isn’t great for a product that’s supposed to be for sensitive skin
