Help, no matter what I do my makeup Always ends up patchy like this. What do I do? What should I use? What order should I be applying in? Cleansing with Wow Skin care usually twice daily, and using an exfoliating yes to tomato’s charcoal stick once a week, using bliss moisturizer in the evenings before bed (but I’m still getting little dry spots all over), and using a day cream in the mornings. Under my eyes, between my brows on my forehead, and the sides of my nose are usually oil slicks by the end of the day. I just want my makeup to look good 😩

I had the same issues until i changed my primer! I now use the cucumber spray from wet n wild and I use the cover FX gripping primer around my nose and mouth. I haven’t had a problem since and have used it with different foundations. I also set my face with powder and finish with urban decay deslick! I hope this helps! :)

so typically you wanna resist the urge to extract them because your skin is most likely overproducing oil in that area, and extracting them can irritate and escalate the oil production. You can also end up with unnecessary scarring. The best thing to do is to keep that area clean, sanitary, and moisturized. Use a salicylic acid treatment overnight (ex: clean&clear spot treatment). This method requires patience but you will thank yourself in the long run and you will see the blackheads/the appearance of the pores shrink vs returning regularly and looking larger over time. Good luck!:)

I like using this with my Clarisonic. You see positive results in 1-2 weeks, I use my toner and moisturizer after.

my skin has been acting up and in the second picture i have a lot of red spots but they aren’t acne and i have no clue where they are from. on both sides of my face i have acne spots and some scars and i need some advice on what to use to help clear my skin up. my skin type is oily and sometimes it can be combination. i currently use Biore charcoal wash, Soap and Glory vitamin C facial wash, and clean and clear morning burst facial wash. i use the Biore and Clean and Clear one after the other and just slightly wash my face with the Clean and Clear because i like how it makes my face feel refreshed and the day after i use the Soap and Glory facial wash. I switch off nights from toning my face with Thayers witch hazel and alba pineapple enzyme facial wipes. Occasionally if i have a pimple i want to go away i will use a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment or mario badescu drying lotion. i hope this gives y’all an insight on what my skin care routine looks like and what i can do to help my skin be smooth and have even toning

I use this serum after toner and before oil free moisturizer - it helps fade dark marks and control oil production. A few other suggestions about the reaction which sounds like an allergy or irritation: 1. I would wash your whole pillow in case some sort of allergen got into it 2. Get some wipes for your phone and clean it at least once a day 3. Your skin could be reacting to something in one of the products that you are using so I would try a gentle cleanser or even just water and a wash cloth for a couple days until the reaction clears up, then reintroduce products one at a time 4. Even though you have oily skin, I would try an oil free moisturizer with spf - this will actually help your skin produce less oil and prevent dark marks from blemishes

@Sara Elizabeth Antoine I agree with everything said here. In addition, I would recommend adding Mario badescu Glycolic cleanser 2-3 times a week. Especially if you determine the break out isn’t related to allergies, stress, menstrual cycle, or any other changes. I have had good luck with this recommendation and I started using The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zync 1% serum at the same time. In my experience it hasn’t necessarily “cleared” my acne, however it has helped a lot with redness and texture. Which can sometimes be half the battle!

Has anyone tried the freeman black sugar and charcoal scrub? I’ve recently bought it and have been using it and it seems to be doing okay. But I’m not really liking the fact that it’s a scrub

How often are you using it? Everyday use for exfoliators (especially a physical exfoliators like a scrub) can be way too damaging for your skin. Depending what skin type you have I wouldn’t recommend using an exfoliators more than 3 times a week. The ordinary has great and affordable products you should check out!

I’d suggest a facial at Ulta honestly! I get one once a month for the past 5 months now and I’ve noticed my black heads have completely gone away since starting to do so. I suggest the 20 minute customized facial! ☺️

I love a good mask but your best bet for pores and blackheads are a scrubbing brush, I use a clarisonic but if that’s too expensive vanity planet does a great version that really gets deep into the pores, nothing else has helped to this extent!

Hello everyone! I am in NEED of a skin care product that will help me get rid of the multiple small blackheads on my cheek area. As of right now I am using First Aid Beauty Charcoal Cleanser and First Aid Moisturizer twice a day, every other day I use Biore Witch Hazel, and every night I apply Shea Moisture Face Hydration Serum. When I first began using these products they helped so much, then I stopped using them for a few months (I ran out) and finally got back to using them again but it has not benefited me much as it did the first time. I’m thinking that I might need to change my skin products.

Suggestions for cruelty-free SPF? I’ve only seen low numbers like 10-30 SPF, and I don’t believe this is high enough. I live in California and it’s always sunny here.

If ur looking for some new skin care try not to get too excited with cleansers and exfoliators that have activated charcoal in it, while they look pretty there really is no added bonus to them working more than any other cleansing product. There’s a reason u see so much products that now contain charcoal in it, social media promoted charcoal products so much to make us believe it was better than the rest so companies began producing more products to get ur coin
