I have really bad under eye circles and i’ve become an expert at hiding them with concealer but i’m fed up with having them in general. Any products that will either lighten or get rid of dark circles?
Covergirl’s new line Full Spectrum Hi everyone! Today I’m trying out two products from Covergirl’s new line Full Spectrum. I’m wearing their Matte Ambition foundation and their Sculpt Expert face palette for my eyes, highlight and bronzer. I’ll update via comments on this post with how it goes!
So, it’s the end of the day. I took my makeup off right at 11, so that’s about a ten hour wear. The foundation was pretty much gone by then, but I will tell you my face had a pretty rough day today. It was raining, I did a lot of cuddling with my cat that involved rubbing my face in her fur AND on the blankets, etc. I’m gonna wear it for the rest of the week to get a true longevity estimate for you. The finish was very pretty. I have dry skin, so I like to do whatever I can to make my skin and my makeup look glowy and hydrated. I say this because I did put a glowy moisturizer and primer under it. With that, the foundation had a soft matte/borderline silky finish. It blended like a dream and with the first layer applied with a brush I achieved high medium/low full coverage. By that I mean that most of my texture, hyper pigmentation and scarring disappeared, but my huge, horrible, massive breakout was obviously still texturally poking through, though it did majorly tone down the redness. For you sponge lovers, I will say that when I initially tried the other half of my face with a beauty blender, the coverage disappeared. I’m not kidding. Disappeared. This isn’t even me being a brush lover (because I am), I still use a sponge with a couple foundations where they genuinely work better. This is not one of them. With a brush, though, it has a beautiful finish, beautiful coverage, and the rest of my makeup went on flawlessly even without setting my entire face with powder. Speaking of the rest of my makeup, holy crap was the Sculpt Expert palette AMAZING. These powders are creamy, pigmented, silky smooth, easy to blend, not patchy, not chalky and come in GORGEOUS shades. I used the palette for both bronzing/highlighting and eyeshadow today and it’s gonna be my new go-to no makeup makeup day staple. I’m so in love. It’s also so, so easy to build up the highlights to the bounciest, smoothest highlight of your dreams. I definitely Italy and 10/10 recommend.
I’m trying to find a good affordable foundation brush. I’ve tried the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and it made my foundation so streaky, and I’m currently using the e.l.f. Ultimate Blending Brush which works a lot better for me but I would like to find one I really really love. So if anyone has any suggestions I’d really appreciate it.
The Morphe foundation brush is definitely worth the try!
