Highliner Gel Eye Crayon by Marc Jacobs Beauty

"I really like this MJB Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon and after having used them for about a month now, I’d have to say I’m really impressed! I received these in the colors (Earth)quake (a dark brown) and Over(night) (a deep blue). What I love most about these eyeliners is how smooth and creamy they are. As I get older, my eyelids aren’t as smooth and as taut as they used to be, so some pencil type eyeliners tend to tug and pull at my lids, end up skipping, and being streaky, thus making it more time consuming than it should be to apply eyeliner. With these Highliners, however, I don’t have that issue! Since they are so pigmented (my boyfriend actually commented on how vivid my eyeliner looked when I was wearing Over(night), and he never notices those kinds of things) and have a gel formula, applying them in a nice clean line is really easy! The built-in sharpener in the bottom of the pencil is also a nice touch!Another thing I love about them is they are long lasting… and waterproof! I’ve worn both of the colors for about 10 hours straight and tested them on both the upper lid and lower lash line/waterline, and they lasted pretty well! It’s awesome because when you first apply the eyeliner, you have a little bit of time to smudge them for any smoky eye looks, but after a couple of minutes they don’t budge. I even tried rubbing my winged liner a few times with my finger (which probably didn’t do my eyelid any favors haha), and to my surprise it didn’t smudge at all (keep in mind I have normal to dry lids). I also swatched them on my hand, ran it under water and tried to rub the eyeliner swatches off, but again, they didn’t disappear or smudge and had very minimal fading. My eyes can get pretty watery, so after a few hours I did notice some fading on the outer parts of my waterline, but besides that, everything was pretty much intact until I removed my makeup that night (I just used my usual waterproof eye makeup remover, and it removed them pretty well with no issues).I’m hoping they expand the colors in this collection (which are inspired by Marc Jacob’s boldly bright resort 2017 collection) and eventually add a black eyeliner because it would probably be my holy grail black pencil/gel liner! « less" - Sephora user

Yeux Long Lasting Eyeliner Twist Pencil by Chanel

"Chanel's regular pencil eyeliner has no lasting power whatsoever when I apply it, but upon reliable recommendation, I bought the Stylo Long Lasting liner and immediately saw what all the hype was about. I can apply the liner in the morning and go without touchups nearly all day (10-12 hours). Admittedly, I am a bit of a stickler for pristinely applied makeup, so I am likely more prone to touching up my face than the average woman! This formula is not the smoothest in application, but it works and the colour payoff is excellent. There is no tugging, and it can be smudged out with a brush, though I like it for precise definition. My only complaint is that it took me a few times to master sharpening the liner with the built-in sharpener. The key is not to wind up too much of the product because it can snap when it gets caught in the sharpening device. One doesn't get a lot of product for her buck, but the balancing factor is that one doesn't need to reapply or use too much in the first place.I wish there were some more dynamic and sparkly permanent colours in this eyeliner range. The hues available are classic and fool-proof, so like most Chanel products, there's no going wrong. I would definitely repurchase this product, and have already, and am pretty loath to try any other high-end liners again unless there proves to be a worthy competitor. « less" - Nordstrom user

Hot Line Brush Tip Liquid Liner - Waterproof by Sephora Collection

"I have been wearing this eyeliner daily for a few weeks now. All I can say is this is my new favorite eyeliner. This is long wear and highly pigmented. It’s a true black not a black that looks ashy or grey. It dries down matte and when I say it stay on all day . I mean all day. I weary makeup 12+ hours and this stuff does not budge, bleed, fade or smudge. I love the applicator it makes for easy application and makes it easy to get either a really thin line or build up to a thicker line.I would say this is comparable to the Kat Von D felt tip liner I have used for years. I actually like this better than that liner.I would also like to add that I have super sensitive eyes. I can’t wear any drug store liners. They all make my eyes water and become red and irritated. This liner does not do that. It’s very comfortable to wear.I did receive this from Sephora as a gift. That being said I will be purchasing this when I run out. This is the first eyeliner I have used that is truly waterproof and doesn’t come off. « less" - Sephora user

Eye Definer by Dr. Hauschka

"Env: developmentAfter trying many different eyeliner pencils by various manufacturers, this product has by far been the **best waterproof pencil **that I have found. In fact, it can be sometimes be difficult for me to find because the stores around me are always sold out of it - probably because it is such a popular, terrific eyeliner! An amazing price at under $5.00, this pencil comes in an easy-to-use precision tube that has a built-in sharpener and a smudging tip that works well. I can apply this eyeliner in the morning and never have to do touch-ups because it doesn't smear, fade, or wear off throughout hours of wear. The pencils come in various colors (black is my fave!) and are easily transportable in your purse or makeup bag. I have found this product to be far superior to the more pricey, department store versions. The pencil is long-lasting and is a great value. I have allergies to many eye makeup products, as well, and this pencil does not cause my eyes to water or itch. I highly recommend it!Env: development Less" - viewpoints.com user

Long-Wear Waterproof Liner by Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

"I've never written a product review here before, but the Instant Long-Wear Makeup Remover deserves it. I recently went to waterproof smudge liners and mascara due to ever-present allergies. Remedy of keeping makeup on was solved, but now to get the Diorshow waterproof off was unbelievably impossible Nothing was working and I was completely undoing all of my hard work trying to preserve the skin around my eyes in my attempt to get this mascara off. Morning would come and I'd wake to unattractive black smears and could still feel mascara on my lashes. I was a little hesitant because of the price of this remover, but was willing to give it a try. Amazing!! Was another reviewer wrote, a little goes a long way, it's gentle, completely non-irritating (another problem with the allergies), and removes every last bit of eye makeup without undue abuse of the skin and leaves no residue upon a proper face cleansing. It delivers the value for the price. « less" - Sephora user

Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner by Rimmel

"I have been using the black eyeliner mostly on my waterline, since it says waterproof in the name, and so far I have only had a little bleed over onto the outer edges of my eyes. I also put this along the upper lash line, which was super easy to do since it is a soft pencil, and then took an angled eyeliner brush to smudge it out a little. This lasted me all day and I never had the need to touch it up. I was completely surprised by this because I have super oily lids!I had a hard time removing this eyeliner, however, and really had to rub it with a makeup wipe to get it off the top lash line. On the water line, however, I just ran a Q-tip over it and it glided off with ease.I am pretty impressed with the eyeliner and might actually try out the other colors available, seeing as there are 10 different colors to pick from! Backstage Gel Eyeliner Black Free Gift Sample by TONYMOLY

"I'm a massive researcher into anything I get before I buy it. I read millions of reveiws on the Tony moly eyeliner before I decided to bite the bullet and purchase. MATEEEEEE! the reviews saying how smooth it is 10/10 correct. I have never had such amazing application in my life. I don't really like winging my eyeliner because the curve of my eye already has a wing, however I love using gel eyeliners in my waterline (tightling). This is such a nice eyeliner, however, because it is so smooth and easy to apply sometimes my upper lining does smudge a bit onto my bottom eye. I'm going to give you a kind blowing tip: press a bit of eyeshadow onto of any eyeliner you apply and it low key becomes waterproof. Tried that with this. A. M. A. Z. I. N. G. Wow, just wow. Stayed or day, slayed all day smooth and amazing application with a gorgeously dark black and absolutely no smudging or movement. Perfect. Liquid Eyeliner Pen by blinc

"When I was first given this product, I had a lot of trouble with it. I love tearjerker movies, and cry unabashedly during them. Eye makeup smudged down to my chin is really not a good look for me. It just isn't. My friends find leaving a theater with me somewhat embarrassing. My husband is wise enough not to say anything, but I'm sure he's not terribly thrilled walking out of the theater with a racoon with a particularly bad makeup job. If I had advance notice that we were going to the movies, I'd wear waterproof makeup, but a lot of the time these are spur of the moment decisions. One of my friends, in a effort to alleviate all these problems, donated some Blinc to the rescue and got everyone to agree to give me due notice when we'll be going to see a tearjerker movie. At first I found this eyeliner difficult to use. It takes a little bit of time to dry, and I kept smooching it. It dries in a permanent shape, so the line needs to be straight the first time, or you have to start again. I had trouble getting it straight. If the lines on both eyes aren't the same size, you can end up looking as if you have two different sized eyes, because you get optical illusions created by uneven lines from eye to eye. The other thing I didn't like was that it's very precise and I usually like a more smudged casual softer look. It looked futuristic and hard on me. But since this was a gift and I couldn't return it, I resolved to practice with it. I got more proficient with it, and my lines come out straighter and more even (from one eye to the other). I got so proficient practicing, that I used it all up. And when I went to buy some more, Sephora was sold out. But now the blue, brown and gray shades are back in stock. It's worth a try if you like precise lines. This eye liner should be really good for many people. Women who wear contact lenses won't have to worry about loose product ending up in their eyes, since, once it dries, it doesn't come off until you peel it off. It's probably good for people with allergies, too, since it becomes more or less a solid, when dried. (It peels off easily when you're ready to remove it without eye make up remover - only warm water). Now that I can do it right, my lines are a little bit softer and not so futuristic looking and harsh. What I have learned is that it goes on better, at least for me, with no product under it. Powder shadows applied after the liner brushes off the dried line. Practice makes perfect with this eye liner. (Try it in advance of a special occasion, though, just to make sure you're comfortable with it). The results are well worth it when you want a really precise line or need something that is definitely going to be waterproof." - sephora user

"I have oily skin. My eyelids become oily as the day progresses. I've tried liquid pens, pencils, gels, actuators that make any powder into a waterproof liquid liner, etc. I've also tried different brands that claim their product is flake-proof, smudge-proof, and waterproof. None of these come close to this product!! Liquidlast liner is the only eyeliner that stays on all day without flaking or smudging. I can apply it in the morning before going to work then go to the gym after work, come home, and it still looks as great as when I first put it on. The brush itself is perfect for applying thin lines to bold thick lines.I just wish MAC brought back coco bar. That's the color I used on a daily basis. Although I love the black for evening use, I found it too dramatic for me for daytime use. I've tried every store that sold MAC but was told the same thing...only black is being sold. PLEASE bring back coco bar! Less" - maccosmetics.com user

Exaggerate Eye Definer by Rimmel

"I love this eyeliner. I've been using it for about a year now. Having not previously got on too well with liquid eyeliners, I thought I'd try this one because the applicator is quite firm, so you don't get brush bristles splaying out everywhere and making a mess. This is so easy to apply and is thick enough that it doesn't run into your eyes and make them sting. The black eyeliner is very black and lasts all day. There is a slight fading toward the end of the work day, but it takes a few seconds to touch up if you're heading out again straight from work. The staying power is great as it doesn't smudge - and is in fact reasonably hard to smudge even if you rub it with your finger. I often end up with it on the ends of my fingers and it's hard to wash off with just water once it's dried (which doesn't take very long at all). The eyeliner is easy to remove with eye makeup remover and I just use Boots Essentials on a cotton wool pad. The only downside is that the tip of the applicator has a tendency to come apart a little bit, so I've had to trim off tiny flappy bits of sponge with nail scissors. It's great for a thick, bold look on the upper lids but maybe not an ideal precision tool for more subtle makeup. I only tend to use it on my upper lids so not sure about its waterline staying power. I do pretty much half colour in my eyelid and I use it every day, but a bottle of this lasts me a good few months. The high pigmentation means that you don't have to add two coats so there's plenty in there to last ages. Less" - boots.com user

Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner by Smashbox

"At first I wasn’t sure about purchasing this product because I've always used pencils in the past but I was tired of having raccoon eyes by the end of the day so I wanted to try something different. I’ve tried so many eyeliners and no matter what they would always smear. Every time I’d go out I always had to carry my eyeliner with me because I had to reapply. This one stays on all day and the midnight black is intense, which is what I was looking for. I love it because its waterproof so it works great on your waterline but it comes off easily with make-up remover or by simply washing your face. I would definitely recommend this product. It’s worth the price tag." - Sephora user

Highliner Glam Glitter Gel Eye Crayon by Marc Jacobs Beauty

"Since receiving these two eyeliners a few months ago, I have literally not worn any other liners...they are that good. I am not particularly adventurous with eyeliner shades, so I stayed in my comfort zone and ordered (Stone)Fox, which is a charcoal grey with gorgeous silver shimmer, and Brown(out), which is a deep, bronze-y brown with gold shimmer. I'd say they are basics, but there is really nothing basic about them. With almost effortless ease, these both glide across the lid like silk and leave behind a surprisingly complex line of shimmering color. The shimmer is just perfect - not too glittery or over-the-top, so it's a great option for both day and evening..You have a little bit of time to smudge the line out, if you so desire, but both of these set quickly and stay put. Though both shades work beautifully with eyeshadows, I most often wear them alone as they are so pretty that I hate to cover them up in any way. If you want a super-thin, precise line, be sure to use the included sharpener as the liner is very soft and does tend to create a thicker line after a few uses. I personally like a little thicker line, especially on my upper lid, as I want to show off these gorgeous shades and shimmer. Now that I've tried and fallen head over heels with these, I'm putting (Luna)tic at the top of my wishlist. I've heard a rumor that there is going to be a Holiday 2014 set of these highliners. If so, I know what Santa is going to be bringing me this year :) « less" - Sephora user

Aqua Resist Color Pencil Eyeliner by Make Up For Ever

"This product is one of the best waterproof/ smudge proof eyeliners I have ever used. I wore this in my waterline and it lasted all day! Typically eyeliners never stay in my waterline and ALWAYS bleed down to my bottom lashes...or worse, bleed onto my contact lens! Not only did this stay in my waterline all day, but it stayed put during a sweaty, cardio filled workout! Applying the eyeliner is extremely easy and requires zero pressure to get a very pigmented look. The shade I received (6 - Forest) is a gorgeous forest green color which beautifully compliments brown eyes. The color is not 100% matte. It has a slight shimmer to it but does not contain glitter particles like the Marc Jacobs Highliner 'shimmer finish' gel eyeliners. Overall I loved this eyeliner and appreciate that it lives up its water-proof/ smudge-proof claims! *Disclaimer: I received this through Influencer for product testing.* Less" - Sephora user

"I have bad allergies and with that comes watery eyes. I'm also in my 50's so love helping out my top lashes by using black eyeliner on my top waterline. I've tried just about every black waterproof eyeliner on the market, and this is one of the best with its holding power. When I remove my makeup at night, it's still as dark as when I put it on! Love the staying power for my top waterline AND love that it does not mark on my bottom waterline since I like to put other colors on the bottom. I would definitely buy again!" - ulta user

Fineliner Ultra Skinny Gel Eye Crayon by Marc Jacobs Beauty

An ultra-skinny eyeliner with the same amazing glide and payoff as the award-winning Highliner Gel Eye Crayon.

Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner by Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

"I adore Bobbie Brown gel eyeliners! They go on with ease (especially if you use one of her eyeliner brushes; I prefer the ultra fine eyeliner brush; if the directions for use aren't on the sephora website; you can find them on her site), last forever, and wash off with a gentle cleanser and warm water. I get no smudging or smearing, no raccoon eyes (I use them on the upper lash line only), just a perfect thin line right along my upper lash line to make my lashes appear thicker than they actually are and add some depth and interest to my eyes. And by using a brush, you can choose the thickness of the liner; I prefer a thin line right at/in the lash line that makes my lashes seem lusher but doesn't look "make up" or unrealistic on me (I rarely wear makeup, so when I do I tend to go for a natural look, just to enhance what I already have and cover some imperfections). This time I got the Caviar Ink, a nice deep brown-black color (it seems to have a touch more brown than black in it, but I love it). I also have and love the Sepia Ink, but after many years of (not) daily use, and despite keeping the jar tightly closed, it has started to dry out (and when I say many years, think 5+...I wash my eyeliiner brush (I have both the regular and ultra fine eyeline brushes and use both with ease) after each use and each eye, so the pot of eyeliner remains uncontaminated). The only other color I tried at the recommendation of a Bobbie Brown consultant at a department store was Chocolate Shimmer Ink and although it seemed okay at first (in the store and the first couple of times I used it), I don't like it; there is to much shimmer in it (which I abhore; I wish everyone would stop putting "shimmer" in everything!) and there is a very signficant reddish hue that absolutely does not work with fair skin coloring or my preferred eye shadow colors. Although I adore BB eyeliners, I do want to add a word of caution, borne of experience: choose your colors carefully. If the name includes the word "shimmer" (be it eyeliner or eyeshadow) it will contain more than just a hit of shimmer; it will most likely contain some signficant sparkle (not quite to the ultra-metallic stage, but some get very close, such as Sandy Gold long-wearing eyeshadow, the shimmer from which will migrate across the face, ears, hair, etc. Woe be to the person who accidentally touches their eye and then something else, for sparkes and shimmer will follow and appear everywhere! This is super shimmer look is NOT a good look on anyone over 20, let alone a professional look on anyone regardless of age. I've tried other eyeliners (pencils, sticks, gels, etc.) over the years and keep coming back to Bobbie Brown gel liners. They give me the colors, precision and ease of use I want and need. Overall, they are still a 5-star products for their color, texture, ease of use and wearability! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="2143103372778647048-full" data-show="2143103372778647048-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Double Wear Infinite Waterproof Eyeliner by Estée Lauder

"I use Kohl Noir which is a true matte black colour. It is long lasting on both the eye lid and water line, however, as with any application on the water line, it does fade a little on the edges so you may need to reapply, although I never bother as it still looks fine. Once dry, it doesn’t smudge or transfer which is great and it also lasts through hot humid weather. As far as waterproof goes, I would say it is but I'm not sure how it fairs if you intend on wearing in a swimming pool but definitely great in humidity. I bought my second kohl noir thinking I had run out but turns out it hadn’t! I don’t wear makeup everyday but I’ve had my eyeliner for almost 2 years and it’s still going! I only ever apply a thin line on my eye lid if I am using false lashes but otherwise I would choose a gel or eye shadow creme for the lid. I don’t use the rubber smudger as I find it drags a bit. I like the fact that it’s retractable so there really isn’t the need to sharpen- it does come with a sharpener which I don’t use but could be useful if you like a sharper point for more precise application.I recently purchased the deep plum shade- I would say it’s more of a deep purple aubergine colour. It also has a slight pearly shimmer to it which is ok but I would much prefer if it were completely matte. « less" - Estée Lauder user

Double Wear Stay-in-Place Gel Eyeliner by Estée Lauder

"This mascara is the one mascara I buy no matter what, but I almost always buy two. Why? I have dry eye syndrome. My ophthalmologist plugged my tear ducts to help trap the tears in my eyes increasing moisture. It works fairly well, but sometimes my eyes overproduce tears. I also use eye drops a lot. This means that on top of drops running over my my eye makeup, a fan blowing on my face, a change in humidity, or who knows what will cause one eye or both to begin to sheet tears over my face removing almost every makeup I've tried. This is the only mascara I've found that will stay on over the course of the day. Yes, I've tried everything out there at all price points from the cheapest drugstore to the most expensive department store brands. Those that forms tubes scatter those tubes across my cheeks. Waterproof mascaras forms clumps under my lashes. Non-waterproof mascaras spread a haze under my eyes. This isn't my favorite mascara for length or fullness. My solution is to use it on my lower lashes. I usually use EL waterproof sumptuous mascara for the upper lashes with a final coat of double wear on top. If my eyes haven't been tearing over the past few days I can get away with using a different under layer brand of mascara, but I always like to seal it with a coat of double wear. Oh, and yes I've even tried the newest mascaras that you have to buy exclusive makeup removers for to take off. It took less than 15 minutes for my tears to remove that mascara. If I know I'm headed for day of all out makeup abuse like to a beach or travel, etc. I use just the doublewear to make sure it lasts. Using a layer of MAC paint pot under my eye shadow (instead of any eye shadow base) and a Laura Mercier gel eyeliner with Shiseido's Sun Protection Liquid Foundation SPF 42 PA+++ insures that I'll get to the end of the day and still need to remove my makeup. I've yet to find any other mascara, eye shadow, eye liner, or foundation that can last through my tearing problems. I highly recommend Doublewear Mascara if you're looking for a way to prevent smudging under the eyes and make your mascara last all day despite humidity, water, tears, crying, and anything else your day might through at it. « less" - Nordstrom user

Illustrative Eyeliner by EM Cosmetics

"I received this product through Sephora’s #beautyuncomplicated Dept to try out for free. I wasn’t expecting much and honestly I didn’t think I’d like it as much as I did / do. This eyeliner gives other competitor eyeliners a run for their money. I’m an eyeliner junkie and have used MAC, Kat Von D, Rihanna’s Fly Liner, and Clinique, and from all the brands I have tried, this is by far the best liquid liner pen I have ever used. It has a sturdy tip, that is easy to maneuver, to create perfect lines, the amount of pigment is just right, want it a bit more bold? Simply go over it one more time and voila, you’re ready to take on the day or night. I have used this liner two times on two different occasions; running errands and working. And both times the eyeliner did not budge, did not smear or run on my eyelids like *cough cough Rihanna’s Fly Liner has. It’s so waterproof, I still had it on after I showered. Want cheap, long lasting, WATERPROOF eyeliner? This is for you. For $14, I will definitely purchase this! Less" - Sephora user

ColorStay 2-In-1 Angled Kajal Eyeliner by Revlon

"I received this Colorstay Revlon 2 in 1 angled kajal eyeliner in the Onyx color from Revlon and Crowdtap for free for my honest opinion, i am pretty impressed with it,the angle of the pencil allows me to get a clean precise line every time and the angled brush at other end allows you to pull the tip of liner out for winged look,it is really a nice eyeliner and the style is impeccable,It is a nice creamy look on the eyes and does not smear or smudge like some others i have tried and is long wearing,it is also opthalmologist tested for use on the warterline and that is awesome too. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a nice eyeliner pencil with angled tip and brush. It is long wear too, for me it lasted all day and evening and i did not have to reappply it at anytime through the day or night. Limitless Liquid Liner Pen by Smashbox

"I've spent years looking for the perfect eyeliner. I've tried pencils, gels, creams, powders and, of course, liquids. Liquid eyeliners always offer the best precision, but that's never enough. What I have found with this miracle-in-a-pen is that it's not just the most accurate, it is the fastest pen out there! The application is perfect! The lines are precise, the felt tip is durable, the texture is smooth and you never have to go back to dip the pen for more liquid liner. Which is great for out-the-door application. The creators pretty much adapted the concept of a marker and applied it to liquid eyeliner...Clever! The waterproof formula doesn't smudge or budge. In fact, I've slept with it on and, the next morning, it looked just as perfect as the night before. Awesome. (Though, I don't suggest sleeping with eyeliner on.) For all of the eyeliners I have tried before, Smashbox reigns supreme. Stop searching for the perfect liner. THIS IS THE PERFECT LIQUID EYELINER. Only 2 minor flaws: 1. The pen itself is not labeled as "waterproof" anywhere. I wasn't aware of this until I spoke to a Sephora representative in the store. 2. There isn't enough of it! All of that perfection with so little quantity. If I wanted to use this liner everyday (which I do!) I would have to run back to the store and buy another every three weeks. For the price I paid, this pen should last me AT LEAST 3 months. Otherwise, I'm forced to supplement with drugstore eyeliner. Overall, great job Smashbox!" - sephora user

Ink Eye Gel Eyeliner Jet Black by Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

The only other color I tried at the recommendation of a Bobbie Brown consultant at a department store was Chocolate Shimmer Ink and although it seemed okay at first (in the store and the first couple of times I used it), I don't like it; there is to much shimmer in it (which I abhore; I wish everyone would stop putting "shimmer" in everything!) and there is a very signficant reddish hue that absolutely does not work with fair skin coloring or my preferred eye shadow colors.Although I adore BB eyeliners, I do want to add a word of caution, borne of experience: choose your colors carefully. This is super shimmer look is NOT a good look on anyone over 20, let alone a professional look on anyone regardless of age.I've tried other eyeliners (pencils, sticks, gels, etc.) over the years and keep coming back to Bobbie Brown gel liners. They give me the colors, precision and ease of use I want and need. Overall, they are still a 5-star products for their color, texture, ease of use and wearability! « less" - Sephora user

Epic Wear Eye & Body Liquid Liner by NYX Professional Makeup

"The NYX Epic Wear Eye and Body Liquid Liner is such an awesome product! Thank you @Influenster and @NYX for sending it to me to try out! I honestly didn't expect to enjoy this liquid liner as much as I did...especially the brown shade, but it looks amazing on and isn't as harsh looking as black liner on my eyes. This product is so good and the brush is easy to hold and control, which is a big deal for a beginner like myself. The formula is extremely pigmented and so super smooth...this stuff just glides across the eyelids with no tugging or skipping at all! This liner packs a punch with so much pigment and color and it leaves behind a beautiful matte finish. I have oily eyelids and hooded eyes, but this liner lasted all day with no transfer or smudging...this is a must for me! I love the staying power of this liner because no one wants to run around looking like a raccoon. Lol. I don't have a single complaint about the NYX Epic Wear Liquid Liner and I would definitely recommend trying it out for yourself. I really look forward to adding more shades to my collection. Also, this liner performs better than most high-end liners and is only a portion of the price. This is one of the best liquid liners I have ever tried! Brush-On Cream Liner by Clinique

"This is a really neat eyeliner. I've been trying to create a few looks that I saw in a magazine and was having a huge amount of trouble recreating them. I tried some liquid liners, but they weren't the right consistency for mastering the looks I wanted to create. My smudge pots, and gels didn't work, and pencils and eye crayons were too casual. I couldn't get it right with a peel off liner, either, nor with cake liners, because they weren't intense and thick enough, even when I made a thicker paste. Then I got this liner in a group of products in a makeup trade, although I was really trading for something else in the lot. The shade I got was Deep Brown, which is a perfect color for me as both a regular liner, and surprisingly, for creating those other looks. I admit to being shocked at how easily I was able to do it, after trying so many times with many other liners. I got a precise defined line, and was able to easily control the shape I wanted, because the brush is stiff enough (but not uncomfortable) to be able to control exactly where the liner ended up, with no stray bristles messing up the line.As far as the liner itself, it stays in place until it's removed. It didn't smudge once it was in place, and the great brush allows for a very precise line. The brush is versatile, too, because I can rotate it a little bit for different looks, using it almost head on for one type of line, and angled for another. The liners removes easily with my make up remover with no pulling or rubbing.Deep Brown is a really pretty color which leaves my dark brown eyes, looking warm. I've come to the conclusion that since I like a lot of different liner and eye looks, I'm going to need different products for each one. The days of one liner are long gone. This is a great addition to anyone's collection of eye liner products. The color is great, the liner goes on easily, it stays in place once it's applied, it's waterproof, and comes over easily with appropriate remover. And Clinique even provides a decent brush, which is somewhat unusual with many liners. I love this. Less" - Sephora user

Waterproof Eyeliner by daniel sandler

"I have dark brown eyes and like to line them with black eyeliner without it looking too heavy. I've tried so many different eyeliner formulations and have found that they either drag on application or are too slick and smudgy, often causing me to have to wipe around my eyes throughout the day to get rid of smudginess. This eyeliner glides on smoothly and stays put once there. It's saved me so much time in doing my eyes. To have it as a free gift is just so amazing, I have now tried 3 items from the Daniel Sandler range and every single one of them has knocked my other brands out of my cosmetics purse. This is my go to brand from now on, thank you so much for making such high quality yet affordable items! " - danielsandler.com user

Bulletproof Liner by Too Faced

"My eyes water like crazy because of allergies anyway and add being on a chemo right now that has the side effect of watery eyes and my eyes are like faucets. Other waterproof eyeliners weren't cutting it so in a last ditch effort I tried this. Was a Godsend. I bought the matte black to use mainly as an eyeliner to smudge. It took a little working with but I figured out how to make it work for me. I like a thicker line on my lid anyway so the tip becoming wider doesn't really bother me. It truly doesn't budge until I decide to take it off after wearing all day and with my eyes watering. There is no fallout from it at all either. I even decided to buy the white one to line the inside of my lower lid to brighten my eyes and it stays put as well." - Sephora user

Eyeliner Waterproof Pencil by Dior

"I am so highly impressed at this waterproof liner that I had to post about it.I lost my son in April and well, I cry a lot. I haven't been out much lately when when I do go out I use this liner since it is truly indelible like ink! I remove it with an oil based remover for bet removal. I get complements [I'm older too]. The Intense Brown and Captivating Blue is quite beautiful on eyes even over the black or brown..unlike all my others these just work and look best. I have a purple/plum shade not shown here plus more not seen on here but in teh stores are gorgeous on. There is a short smudge time after lining but it's so worth it. I own maybe 50 liners lol mid to high end and this one just stays on bar none.. Make sure to apply close to top edge of lashes to fill in the gap between lashes and skin esp. if older this happens. My tip for applying any liner is using a lash curler first, mascara, then apply liner so you have something that liner can lean on (hard to explain) but it looks like tight lining.sample if in store ...worth it even if it's a bit more money I would rather these then all my others I ignore now. Less" - Sephora user

Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eye Liner by Tarte

"I'm really enjoying how effective and beautiful Tarte EmphasEYES™ Waterproof Clay Shadow / Liners are. I've already enjoyed Bronze and Indigo, and now tried Plum which is so beautiful and makes my brown eyes sparkle. There's no doubt in my mind that these Tarte Shadow/Liners are the top non-pencil liners available. I'm not the most agile with some of the liquid or semi-liquid liners that aren't pencil or makers, but this one is so easy and it always seems to look as if it's been done by a professional. What's impressive is that it applies so evenly as a liner that I never see any line breakage even if I don't make it from one end of the lash line to the next. With traditional liquid liners, sometimes it's difficult to join a started line together and have it look like it's a continuous line. Never a problem with this liner. The other thing I really like is that as a liner, this looks less harsh than the looks I get from a traditional liquid liner. It's a softer and warmer looking line, which makes me look more approachable. The dual ended brush that comes with this product is really excellent and makes applying this a breeze. One end of the brush is for a perfect line, and the other end for shadow application. I'm impressed at how Tarte didn't skimp with the brush, unlike other manufacturers who often include brushes that aren't sufficient for the product application. I'll be able to use these brushes years after the product is gone. So many times, I've found that the best product application depends on a good brush.I had really great results from the deep blue Indigo. I used a silvery shadow as my base. Then I used the Indigo to make a very thin precision line defining my eyes and then very slightly smudged it the other corner of my eyes. The look was very elegant and simple. I created a very similar look with the Plum, using a slightly shimmery silvery lilac, almost pearlized shadow, instead of the silver as my base. These looks are nice changes from heavier smudged and smoky eyes.I like the look this creates as both shadow and liner. It really is easy to use and it has such a soft finish that isn't harsh like so many other liquid or semi-liquid products. While I'm not the greatest with liquid and potted liners, generally preferring pencils, this turns out to be somewhere in the middle - the look is more professional and more formal, but it's not overly formal and harsh like a liquid.I find that these shades last a long time as shadow and liner, and is easy to smudge, although once applied it doesn't budge. It smudges evenly, and much better than some other products made for smudging. It even stays put on my inner rims without irritating my eyes. The Indigo works really well with my brown eyes, making the whites look whiter, and the Plum gives my brown eyes an extra sparkle (according to my husband). The Bronze is beautiful. This product can be used for elegant traditional looks and it can also be used for those that are more contemporary. Using this as liner, I've even been able to create a bit of drama just by adding a base shadow in a light shade, black mascara, and a couple of times added mascara coordinated to the color of the liner on the lips of my lashes over the black mascara. Simple to create, it looks really good and took only two or three minutes from start to finish.I love these liners/shadows. They're so easy to use. It's easy create a style that looks as if it tool a long time to pull off but only takes a few minutes. I highly recommend them (and wish that Tarte made a green shade). Less" - Sephora user

Tarteist Double Take Eyeliner by Tarte

"This is my favorite black eyeliner. I have Asian eyes and I am always on the lookout for jet black eyeliners. I have tried so many brands from Mac to Clinique, Stila, Lancôme and what not but this is by the the best and the darkest black eyeliner that’s smooth to apply and stays on for hours without smudging. I discovered this eyeliner when I was shopping at Macy’s and the sales person showed me this pencil. I was thrilled to see the precision and the depth of the color. I picked up three pencils ( 2 sex kitten and 1 Tartiest ). And since then I am hooked to these pencils and pens. It’s been over a year I am using them. I have tried other eyeliners in between for the sake of experimentation but none is even close to what Tarte eyeliner are, I LOVE ?? these eyeliner and request you please don’t change the formula ever and never ever take this product away from the market. Please share some special deals on these pencils and I will buy them in bulk. Less" - tartecosmetics.com user

Aqua Liner High Precision Waterproof Eyeliner by Make Up For Ever

"I keep coming back to this eyeliner because it is the best I've ever found. Waterproof, doesnt move when my eyes water, doesn't budge during the day or move up in the crease. I wash my face with cleanser and water in the shower and it removes easily with out smearing all over your face. Lasts all day. I trust this for important all nighters or special events.I use this every day. It lasts me about 2 months and then I need to buy another. It's expensive but I keep coming back to it because it does what I need it to do. When it's time to buy a new one you'll notice the texture of the product changes and it will become more difficult to layer it. For me that is around the two month point. I also layer this over top of several eyeshadows, so that might have something to do with how often I need to buy a new one.If you are new to liquid eyeliners, I recommend using a pencil liner lightly first and then marking over that line with this liquid liner. Because it is waterproof and doesn't budge, it's not exactly forgiving so it helps to have a line to draw over. The applicator tip is firm enough to do a nice solid line. I create a fairly thick, winged/cat eye with it. If you are looking for more of a delicate, thin line, I recommend using a small brush and dipping it into the product to glide in the area you need. (Laura Mercier makes a very small, delicate brush that I use for this.) I do that for my lower lash line.I did a test at Sephora and used several different liquid liners, drew lines on my skin, and paid attention to which ones lasted the longest, which ones smeared, which ones stayed put even with me trying to move it around. This one lasted the longest and looked the most black after a full day. « less" - Sephora user
