"I really like this L'réal Voluminous eyelash primer better than other eyelash primers that I have tried. I likè the design of the tube and the spoolie. The spoolie is fat to give the volume and even application. There is no need to brush the lashes with the eyelash comb because the applicator gives the perfect separation and no clumps. The primer really coats my lashes nice and evenly. This primer is lightweight and builds dramatic volume and length. The primer also conditions your lashes over time for soft nourished look and feel. After I apply the primer I give it about less than a minute to settle then apply my mascara. Using the primer makes my mascara last longer and locks it in place. My lashes are now much fuller, dramatic and volume even though I always had full lashes, it enhanced the look. This primer is also perfect if you wear falsies. Just apply to your normal laahes and then apply the falsies. This primer is definitely worth the price, and I will continue to purchase this one ** I tested L'Oréal Voluminous Primer for free, but all opinions are my own experience. "I am a big fan of YSL lipsticks so I thought of buying their mascara with expectation of similar standard of quality. The product arrived on time and I was fascinated with its beautiful packaging. I have really long eyelashes but they are not dense .The brush is fuller enough to give complete coverage on my long eyelashes. It also made them look bigger .Mascara was spreading evenly and there was no smudging or clumping. My eyelashes looked voluminous and more curled .It stayed all day long and did come off very easily when I washed my face before going to bed . It didn’t break my eyelashes. Usually I always see my eyelashes strands breaking when I am taking off my mascara but this wasn’t the case here. I don’t like using eyelash curler , I am lazy that ways , but with this brush I could see I didn’t need the curler and it was one brush doing work of mascara brush and curler brush too. My eyelashes looked more beautiful with this mascara . Will definitely recommend it . One of my colleague used it as she forgot her Mascara at home , today she told me that she will buy it as she loved it. her comments was that it separated her eyelashes and made them look bigger and volumised. Another happy user :) « less" - yslbeauty.co.uk user
"First let me say that I am extremely hard to please when it comes to beauty products, and mascara is one that i am especially picky on. I have fine lashes of nice length, and most "volumizing" formulas (such as any dior mascara) make my lashes look like a clumpy, goopy mess. Super wet, sticky, goopy formulas don't work for me, and neither do brushes where the bristles are too close together (they don't get between my lashes and kind of brush the mascara off at the same time as they put it on so it never builds up). This mascara is the best one I have probably ever used. It lifts my lashes so I don't need to curl them, it thickens them dramatically (and I mean super dramatic where everyone will be fixated on your eyes) and it doesn't clump or goop up or anything. You can just put on 2 coats like normal if you want to just look great in a daytime situation, or you can let it dry a little between as many coats as you want and build the drama to traffic stopping status. If you want to have the same impact as fake lashes without actually using them, this is a great mascara. I'm surprised it isn't more popular- but that's ok, I like having the best eyelashes in any situation. :-) « less" - Nordstrom user
"This mascara is amazing. It smudges easily, but it fans out lashes well, while obtaining little to no clumps with great length. I curl my lashes when applying this, so I'm not sure about the volume." - walgreens user
"I happen to live far from major retail, so today went to replace my Chanel le Volume after I dropped the brush on the bathroom floor. Sadly, local store no longer has in stock.I bought diorshow blackout and even after checking he box, did not realize it's waterproof until after I tried it. And hated it. And reading review here made me think, wow, everyone had different needs and wants. So let me describe myself before reviewing. I have long, thick eyelashes. (Thanks, genetics!) I want a mascara that highlights them, defines them and stays put until I wash it off with water. No, I am not fooling with super makeup remover. And because they're already pretty thick and long (if faded and/or grey) I absolutely don't want WEIGHT!I used to love Armani E2K Excess. Then I tried this one. Two coats (nice brush strokes, not super wiggling it in) covered all the lashes with no clumping, high volume, superior definition and length. It has virtually no weight, stays put without flaking, and washes off with soap and water. Completely.I love this mascara.Secondly, I have green/blue/teal eyes. The purple shade, which looks far lighter on the brush than on your eyes -- on it looks black on medium skin -- makes greenish eyes pop.I have both the black and purple. I will get both again. The Diorshow is sealed tightly for my next beach vacation! Less" - Nordstrom user

"This mascara is simply amazing. It's incredibly pigmented, creates dramatic volume, length and holds the curl, and the colors are divine. Not to mention the packaging, as all of YSL products, the packaging is exquisite. I have friends who have used this with tiny, sparse lashes, and it made their lashes transform in a matter of seconds. I have long lashes naturally, so when I wear this it makes my lashes look like I have falsies on, so it's very true to it's name. I own four of these; 1 high intensity black, 3 extreme blue, 4 fascinating violet, and 5 burgundy. 1 high intensity black; this one is a great staple item. I believe that it belongs in every woman's makeup collection. It's a great black, very deep and rich. 3 extreme blue; I have green eyes, but there is a hint of gold in them, and when I wear this mascara, my eye color goes from green to hazel right before me. This is an amazing cobalt blue, it's not so extreme that it will completely distract you while wearing it [Lord knows I've had a couple of those]. Just pair it with neutral, natural looking makeup and a nude/sheer pink lip and you'll have a gorgeous look. Best for people with hazel/brown eyes. 4 fascinating violet; my personal favorite of all of the colors. I have green eyes with gold in them, but as with the 3 extreme blue, my eye color morphed. Suddenly the gold disappeared, it's really interesting to watch actually. This is my favorite color of purple generally, and it doesn't look as bright as in the photo. But it makes my green eyes shine, that's for sure. This is a must for girls with pretty green eyes. And last but not least, 5 burgundy; I think that this is the most universally flattering color out of all of them [excluding the black, of course]. The color is a really rich, gorgeous burgundy, that has a hint of gold tone in it. This has worked on friends with blue eyes, brown eyes, grey eyes, hazel eyes, and green eyes. I suggest this to people who want to try a colored one but aren't sure which one to get. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-6063462530608554535-full" data-show="-6063462530608554535-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user
L'Oreal Paris Bambi Eye Mascara is an instant eye opening mascara for a volumized, doe-eyed Look. 4 out of 5 women saw bigger, wide open eyes. 90 percent agreed does not clump upon application. Wide-eyed brush with long and short bristles coats and separates lash by lash.
"The main reason I use this lash primer: when I get home from work at the end of the day, I look like I have just applied my mascara. I have tried mascaras that come in a double ended bottle with primer on one side, mascara on the other, and found that flaking of mascara was a problem. I use this with Clinique High Impact Mascara (regular, not waterproof) and the mascara holds all day. I do have long lashes but I find I don't have to curl them because using this product under my mascara gives my eyes enough pop. Also, I don't have to reapply my mascara at any time during the day. The product is thick and is similar to mascara in consistency. Therefore putting mascara on top of it makes for fuller looking lashes, which is nice. When I remove my makeup at night, I wash my face with Purity by Philosophy (not plugging products, just letting you know how it works in my hands), and I get complete removal of the mascara and the Cils Booster XL and pretty much no lash loss like I have had with eye makeup removers (I am going to have to attribute that, in part, to Purity). One thing to note: as with any mascara product, when you open a new tube there is quite a bit of product on the brush. The effect is that a lot of product ends up on your lashes, and then you layer on mascara. This can lead to clumping or a look that I find less natural, where the individual lashes look really thick (clumped, perhaps). I have a wire-toothed lash comb handy for that. An alternative is to blot the brush with a tissue to take something of the product off of the brush before applying the product to your lashes. I have never tried that. Less" - Sephora user

"I love this mascara. It's my default mascara and my number one. When I use other mascaras, I feel like I'm cheating on my Clinique High Impact. I'm actually now a huge fan of Clinique as a brand because their other products don't do it for me, but this mascara is a huge must for me. First of all, I'm asian, and I have naturally sparse, thin, short eyelashes (aka nonexistant) to begin with. Consequently, just the resulting lashes that this mascara gives me is a miracle. Now the reasons why I love this mascara and think everyone should try it eventually, no matter which one you're using currently: 1.) It's buildable. If you like natural looking, soft lashes, just apply one or two coats. If you want some dramatic, super lengthened lashes, just apply a few more coats WHILE your lashes is still wet. This brings me to: 2.) This mascara is more of a wet consistency, which I personally love. I find drier mascaras to be really annoying because it's just so much harder to apply when it's like, flaky. This consistency really allows the formula to glide onto your lashes, which is why you can go for a more subtle look or really amp it up without it clumping. 3.) This mascara is such a good price, for such a great formula, for the size. I'm pretty that by .oz, this mascara seems to hold a little bit more in the tube than other high-brand Sephora ones, and for less than $15. 4.) Even though it's not technically labeled as waterproof, it's long lasting and I notice that sometimes even when I cry (boyfriend, movies, whatever), it doesn't get everywhere. My eyeshadow is actually the first to go." - sephora user
"When I first saw that the Influenster SpringVox included Rimmell London Scandaleyes Mascara I was excited to receive the product. I have had a hard time trying to find lash thickening mascaras that aren’t too clumpy. I understand that the thicker the mascara the thicker your lashes will look; however I want them to look Natural as well. I don’t want to look like I don’t know how to apply my makeup. As soon as I opened the box I spotted the mascara right away. It had a very appealing packaging. It definitely drew my eyes to the product. I opened it to discover the unique shape of the tube. It is large and has a catchy black and white appearance. To be honest the tube itself was a little too thick for me. I travel a lot so I need something that can fit into my makeup or travel bag easily. I then began to realize that its shape was needed due to the unique shape of the brush inside. The next day I decided to give the mascara a try. At first I had a hard time applying it. You definitely need to practice with the brush to get the exact motion that is needed to apply the mascara correctly. The brush has to sets of ridges that are designed to give you the ultimate amount of coverage for your lashes helping you to achieve the maximum length and width desired. I did have a problem applying it to my bottom lashes due to the size of the brush, however I am not oppose to using two different mascaras to get the look I desire. I instantly saw a difference in my lashes, however for me the mascara went on a little too think. I needed a lash brush to help separate the lashes after I applied each stroke. I did love the way the lashes instantly curled though. The shape of the brush definitely gave my lashes a curl I have never experienced before. You definitely would not need to use a lash curler when using this product. In the end I have become a fan of this product and already have suggested it to many of my friends. It won’t be one I use every day. However it will be my go to mascara when I am planning a night out and want my eyes to pop and demand attention." - walgreens user

"I'm so glad I was introduced to this product ❤ This doesn't run on oily eyelids, and no rubbing your eyes with mascara every where and no mess!! I even have watery eyes SOMETIMES and it never transfers on my hooded eyes, nor does it smudge or flake. No more raccoon eyes even if you have allergies. It never even burns by which I am so shocked. This gives my short sparse lashes the look of thick lashes, also makes them look LONG with NO clumps and feels like silk when going on, I love the formula its super smooth, and isn't too wet nor too dry. Applies very evenly and I never feel the need to "even" out my lashes with the brush. No matter how many coats (between 1-3) I wear I seriously feel like I'm rocking luxiourius eyelash extensions no joke. It gives amazing seperation, lashes look long, full, with lots of volume and definition. So easy to use I feel like it untangles my lashes and grabs even the smallest hairs that I can't even see! Brush never touches my skin or pokes my eyeball. This formula makes my lashes curl on their own I love it. You don't need a ton of coats, just looks even better and bigger if you do. 1st coat is super natural looking, 2nd coat is lovely and 3rd is aaahhmaaazing. So if your short on time lashes will still look good. Always stays on, I accidentally slept with it on and it still LOOKED good!!(although I don't recommend sleeping in ANY makeup) This is unheard of for me, it might stay on and be bullet proof but it washes off easily without pulling out or losing any lashes, so it's gentle to wear AND remove. I feel like my lashes are a bit stronger as well(maybe because of the good ingredients? ) and it never dries out my lashes either. I SERIOUSLY love this mascara." - ulta user

"I'm usually not one to use mascara primer, but I actually find I keep reaching for this one. The wand/brush coats all of my lashes evenly leaving behind an off-white/bone coloured tint. I used this with the matching mascara and had no problems with the application. Mascara went over top evenly and really gave my super sparse lashes a boost. It is a tad clumpy, but I personally find this type of formula works best for my sparse, blonde lashes. The primer left them looking fuller and gave a bit of length too. I was really happy with the outcome and use this when I want full, dramatic lashes without falsies. I received this complimentary for testing purposes." - sephora user

"I bought this masacra right after my dad passed away because I knew that I would need a waterproof mascara to not smudge or drip right off when I cried. I was recommended by a sales associate to try the Make Up Forever, Smoky Lash. However, the Smoky Lash would come off when I wiped my tears. So, I was recommended the Lancôme, Hypnôse Waterproof - Custom Volume Mascara, which was supposedly swim-proof. Boy-oh-boy, this mascara EXCEEDED my expectations! Unlike the Smoky Lash, Hypnôse stays on through anything! I can put this on in the morning and cry all day without it smudging off onto a tissue (ie. my dad's funeral)! It is amazing! Not only is it extremely durable, but it is also the best mascara to not clump (I've tried Smoky-Lash & Dior Show, which are dry, clumpy, and hard to apply because of their larger brushes)! Hypnôse goes on smoothly, especially with the help of it's small brush. If you accidently get it on your eyelid or under your brow, which I always do, just lick your finger and wipe it off. I get so many compliments on my eyelashes and all I do is curl them and apply two coats of Hypnôse. I have attached photos of me with each of the Smoky Lash and Hypnôse mascaras. I assume that the Smoky Lash looks more faint than the Hypnôse because of it's dryness. Therefore, making it harder to stick to the lashes, while the Hypnôse is more wet and holds onto the lashes no problem. P.S. I have gone swimming while wearing Hypnôse and it actually stayed put! I was a little worried after going swimming and sitting in the hot-tub 12 hours after applying it (8am-8pm), and I was very eager to check my face in a mirror. However, there was no reason for me to fear because this mascara does what it says it's going to do. I will never use another mascara, even if this one takes a little extra work to remove. An extra minute (literally one minute), is worth having a mascara that stays put through anything. My next trial of this mascara is going to be an hour long hot yoga practice, but I have no doubts that it will stay put because I was sweating in the hot-tub and it didn't move. I will let you know how it goes. ;) <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Sephora user
"I wear contacts and I'm not super used to wearing mascara all the time because sometimes they irritate my eyes and I can feel them on, and it bothers me. Not this one, this one is the first mascara I don't feel at all and I can wear all day without it bothering me at any point. I curl my lashes before applying it and then I don't need to apply a ton to get an awesome effect, I do just one coat. It separates the lashes if you're careful, but it can get clumpy if you put too much. It gives a lot of volume but also length and it holds the curl all day! Even though it's not waterproof, it didn't smudge and it was easy to remove. I'm super happy with this mascara, especially because of the weightless feel! "I have never been an Almay consumer, not even when I worked as a cosmetician at Walgreens for my first job in high school. I considered it an inferior brand to its competitors like Sally Hansen, Neutrogena, Physician's Formula, and Wet N Wild, so I always promoted those brands first. I just didn't care for what they offered. But when the opportunity to review their new One Coat Mega Volume mascara presented itself through CrowdTap, I volunteered because who doesn't want free stuff in exchange for trying it out? I applied, got approved, and waited; the make-up arrived a few days ago and I tried it out that same day.The first thing to know is that the tube isn't much to look at. Almay isn't a company that sinks a lot of money into flashy marketing, and it shows with this product--although the top is an attention-getting metallic magenta shade, the tube is an unimaginative white. I didn't think it held much promise, especially when I removed the wand and revealed that the brush was pear-shaped. Since I haven't really dealt with that kind of style before, I opened up Almay's website to see if they had any tips for applying it. The thing is, although I have really long eyelashes, I don't have much in the way of volume, and I also wear plastic frame glasses; it takes a lot for my eyes to stand out.Thankfully, Almay brought it! I was instantly impressed with how much volume Almay One Coat Mega Volume brought in a single swipe of the brush sideways. It turns out inverting the swipe makes it even more dramatic. In the photos I attached, the first picture shows the significant difference in curl length between my naked eye and the eye with the mascara (the mascara'd eye being the second photo, obviously). I did not apply any other cosmetic product, including primer, because I wanted to show the raw capability of the mascara on its own. It also had a long hold; it was several hours and a pretty significant spike in temperature in a house without AC that made it run. Still, that can be fixed easily enough; although the individual item I received is not waterproof, one of the four varieties currently offered is.My one complaint would be that if you don't mirror the technique shown on the website and just attempt to maneuver the wand like any other run of the mill mascara, you will deal with clumps and goopy-ness. Definitely avoid saturating the wand and take your time with the application; you can see a little clumping happening in my photos, in part, because I didn't take my time and I also didn't apply primer first. On the whole, I feel that Almay did right by me with this particular product and I'll be adding it to my beauty routine. Thanks, Almay! « less" - walmart.com user

When i use the other brands of Mascara it is usually too thick , create clumps just so that one would have a dramatic effects on the eyes. "I am constantly trying out new products, always putting them through the ringer and really testing everything the brand claims it will do. I am disappointed by a lot of products, especially mascara, but this one is awesome!! I already love the Marc Jacobs O!Mega Volumizing mascara, and most of the Marc Jacobs products I own. But to be honest, for some reason, I wasn't expecting to like this one very much; I was completely wrong though and should have known better! Here is why. Brush The brush is full and curved, with the bristles varying in length and direction. A rule of thumb I always go by, is the way a mascara brush looks is roughly how it will make your lashes look. So based on this brush, your lashes should look thick, dramatic, and fluttery. The shape of the brush does a great job of depositing product into your lashes, but not too much. And if you do get too much product, a couple swipes of the wand distributes it out fairly evenly. The curve of the brush also helps to reach the corner lashes. Formula This is only of my favorite parts of the mascara. The formula is slightly drier, not in a flakey way, but rather in a thicker, not-watery way. I find that these formulas help to really pump up drama and volume and also hold a curl or style better. They are also easier to work with because you can generally shape and guide your lashes to how you want them to look. If you like the formulas of Benefit Rollerlash, Benefit They're Real, Lancome Hypnose Drama, or Too Faced Better Than Sex, you'll love this formula and this mascara! Results Drama!!! That's the first word that comes to mind. My lashes after one coat looked thicker and longer. After three coats, letting each coat dry slightly before the next, my lashes looked like false lashes! They were super thick, had so much volume, really dark, but what surprised me is they were so lifted, long and curled! I was definitely not expecting so much length from this mascara! The results lasted a while on me too; I even worked out and my lashes looked the same after. What's more is that I got these results without any lash primer. I always wear the Lancome Cils Booster XL under any mascara and it just pumps up the results even more, and it was no exception with Velvet Noir either; my lashes looked amazing! I would most definitely recommend trying this mascara out if you like super dramatic, voluminous, slightly clumpy (in a good way!) lashes! One tip to keep the clumping to a minimum though is to let each coat dry a little before the next one. When you apply too much wet formula, you will get more serious clumping, that isn't super cute. All in all, love it!!! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Sephora user
"Although this isn't a review for Dior's "Extase" mascara (my previous, almost-there-but-not-quite-right choice), I could have titled this "Extase"---because I am in ecstasy. This is (for me) THE Perfect Mascara. With one coat, it gives me thicker, fuller, completely natural-looking-but-spectacular, fetchingly curved and curled lashes that are black but not BLACK---and that don't look as if spiders have decided to live above my eyes. And with two coats, I get thicker, more dramatic lashes than I've ever had before that look just like I'm wearing the best false-lashes...but don't make me look like a drag-queen (a perfectly valid look, but not the one I'm trying to achieve). The formula is phenomenally long-wearing (and I'm VERY tough on mascara, inevitably ending up with raccoon smudges after a few hours) but not harsh: I don't ever have that awful feeling that there's a sliver of...something in my eyes that wants OUT that I forcibly endure with other long-wearing mascaras for vanity's sake. Application does take a little initial fiddling: I've found that if you place the curve of the brush against the base of the lashes and then do that wee "wiggle-up" motion a couple of times (the same motion that those battery-powered mascaras produce that one can easily replicate oneself), all the lashes get coated, separated, and curled perfectly. By adjusting the placement of the brush, you can also mimic the addition of false lashes to, say, only the outer corners of the eye (which opens up the eye and gives that "Come Hither"/kitty-cat look). Yeah: it's pricey, but I think that it's worth every penny---and, if you compare it to the cost of, say, lash-extensions (which more than one person has asked me if I'd gotten) or even a good pair of falsies? Whatta deal!!! So, IMHO, this is one of those rare products that is quietly revolutionary, unparalleled, spectacular, and, well, non-pareil!" - sephora user
A jet-black, volume-packed mascara so anyone can master the tarte of fringe.
"This is my new go-to mascara. I actually tried this mascara for two weeks alongside another brand to see how it would hold up over time. Hands down, this is the winner. I have very straight, hard to curl lashes. An eyelash curler is a must in my morning routine. If a mascara is too wet, it will immediately pull the curl right out of my lashes. If it's too dry, my lashes become brittle. This is the perfect combination. The formula is wet without being too wet and the waterproof formula holds the curl from 7AM until 1AM. Even through tears! Just a side note: Only waterproof mascaras will hold eyelash curl. Usually I wear false eyelashes to get the glamour girl effect. At least I used to. With this mascara, I can actually get away with three coats, and no signs of clumping. One coat is sufficient, two coats make your eyes pop, three coats are glamorous. Since this is a waterproof mascara, you MUST use a waterproof mascara remover. I use Smashbox It's A Wrap to remove it with no problems. In a pinch, I've used baby oil, but it requires more effort and I find my lashes won't curl as easily the next day with the baby oil. I can't stress enough how well this mascara holds the curl. I even went through a family emergency with this mascara and had to laugh the following morning when it was still intact after countless tears all night long. This is a buildable mascara, meaning the more coats, the longer and thicker your lashes become. My lashes are sparse and after two coats, my eyes look amazing. The other thing I love about this mascara is the particular color I'm using (very black) is matte. I detest shiny mascara (I believe the black pearl color has more of a gloss). Keep in mind, because this is a waterproof mascara, it does tend to be a little more stiff than the washable mascara. This is precisely why waterproof mascaras hold the curl and washables don't. It's stiff without being too much so. There are no crunchy lashes here. Here's a tip: When applying this mascara, once you have the first coat on, rotate the brush to the back side and use those longer bristles to separate and define your lashes further." - ulta user

"I've been on a mascara hunt for some time now, as I've been having issues with smudging and raccoon eyes. A Sephora employee recommended this to me, and although I was a bit hesitant to try it (as I knew very little about it and the brand), I decided to give it a try over the more popular mascara's at Sephora, and I am so glad I did! Not only has this mascara not run, but I also started putting it on my bottom lashes, something I feel like I haven't been able to do in a while for fear of smudging. I spent all day in the hot sun at NYC Pride, as well as (lightly) cried in it, and no one is more shocked than me at it's staying power. Now, let's talk lashes! It must be said that I naturally have fairly long, thick, easily curl-able lashes, and that I favor the wispy lash look. To me, this delivers wispy, flase-like lashes with two to three coats max (just one coat on the bottom lashes), and it almost feels like I have nothing on. The brush applicator took a little adjusting to, as it is bigger and heavy than most, but I kind of feel like the brush does all the work for you and keeps me from over-applying the product. This mascara may not be the most lengthening or volumizing, but I really like the look it delivers, so wispy, full and feathery :)" - sephora user

"BEST AND ONLY MASCARA I WILL EVER USE! I have tired many high-end to low-end mascaras simply because I always faced the issues that include: smudging, not long lasting, creates raccoon eyes and difficult to take off. No matter the product I have used, waterproof or not, it would create gray circles under my eyes through out the day that made it looks like I had dark circles under my eyes. And many mascaras I used that claimed to be waterproof (better than sex) would make my lashes clumpy and and runny over time. I wear false eyelashes daily and only use mascara mostly for my bottom lashes and this is the only mascara that will still in place!! I wore this to Disney with the hot-humid F.L. weather and the mascara would not budge. I jumped n the pool and I went down water slides and it still stayed in place. There was only very minimal flaking as a result of that but through the day it looked just how I applied it in the morning. AND I went to sleep with it on and didn't even create dark circles under my eyes! just very little flakes. I would recommend this if you struggle with your mascara giving you racon eyes and if you want something long lasting. The best part is that it is very easy to take off as well! This will be the only mascara I will ever be using because I am obsessed." - sephora user
Explosive volume in rocket time! 8x bigger, smoother. Now, the most explosive, beautiful lashes ever! Maybelline volum' express the rocket waterproof mascara has a patented supersonic brush with micro bristles that loads on big, sleek volume instantly.
"I love this mascara! I already love Caution by Hourglass which is great for volume. Unlocked is better for length! If you like longer eyelashes, you’ll definitely love this mascara. It’s not waterproof, but it doesn’t make my straight lashes fall! It lasts all day with no smudging or flaking. And it didn’t get on my eyelids even though mine get oily sometimes. It comes off with water, and I use Summer Friday's amino gel cleanser which usually leaves me with raccoon eyes when I use Caution. None of that with Unlocked! The packaging is beautiful, gold, and cute with the bunny. It’s the same heaviness as Caution, which I love. It makes the mascara feel expensive and special. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for long lashes!" - sephora user

"When I received this product and opened the box, my first reaction was “wow, the packaging is out of this world”, followed by “it will probably be another average mascara with beautiful packaging to justify the price”. I am very picky about my mascaras: I have hooded eyes and my eyelids can get oily (and sweaty in the summer) so mascaras tend to transfer and smudge on me. After reading the claims of this mascara, I was intrigued and started playing around with it… and now I cannot put it down. This stuff is INCREDIBLE. First, the wand bristles are super soft and coats my lashes with the perfect amount of mascara. Second, the formula is just wet enough that it doesn’t clump together but still builds beautifully on itself. Third, it is long wearing , does not smudge at all, and one coat is all it takes to give me my dream lashes: Curled, defined, fluffy, voluminous, lengthened. I’ve been getting compliments from everyone who has seen me wearing this. This has quickly become my NUMBER ONE favorite mascara: I 100% recommend it and will be purchasing another one when I run out." - sephora user
"I can honestly say this is a really good mascara. As I started applying it you can see a big difference on how bold and long they looked. They definitely did add volume to it. And the best thing is you don’t have to apply so much coat to it, with one or two strokes you see the difference. Personally for me I always gotta use two different mascara one for volume and one for length this one definitely did both were as to I didn’t need to use a different mascara. Long wearing it is! First day I tried it I went to work for 8 hours then to the gym and it didn’t smear it lasted till I literally got home to hit the shower and wash it off! I didn’t even have a hard time taking it off. The vegan thing is something that not to much important to me but knowing it was cruelty free is something I think I might start considering on other things. The application and pigments are totally amazing!!! You can totally see the difference on my before and after picture! I received this product for free or complimentary for testing purposes." - sephora user

"I don’t think I would have ended up buying this if it wasn’t for a rewards points sample I got, as this isn’t a brand I’m very familiar with. Anyways, I fell in love with the sample, it separated and coated my lashes and I could apply multiple coats w/o clumping. Plus, even tho it’s not waterproof, it doesn’t flake, it doesn’t smudge. It simply just stays put all day. I also like the weight of the top in my hand, it feels substantial and is easy to hold, plus the wand is long enough that you’re not obstructing your vision field at all w/application. they really put a lot of thought into the packaging and how it feels w/application. I love it for a day time look and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. If you’re going for a bold look at night, or going out, you won’t be able to achieve it with this. This is better suited for day time." - sephora user

"This mascara gives me a wonderful, wide-eyed fringe of lashes. I don't know what it is, but I prefer to any other mascara I've tried. It's both thickening and lengthening, but I really applaud the thickening as that's the key in getting a defined, sexy look to your eyes. This mascara also flexes better than most. Unlike cheap and crunchy waterproof mascaras, this lets my lashes bend after drying. Some application tips for ANY brand mascara to get the best results:1) wipe off the very tip of the wand before using, either on a tissue or the lip of the container--you don't want to glob a big blob of mascara on your lashes (especially this one, it's quite thick)2) tilt your head back when applying--you might bump into your eye makeup otherwise3) wiggle at the base of the lashes to get that area really plumped up, then continue down to the tips of lashes4) do not EVER apply additional mascara coats once it dries or you will get clumps and look like you have three giant eyelashes5) don't look way up or way down for a minute if you don't want mascara smudged around your eyesFollow good mascara application tips and this little guy will be your bff. It will make such a difference to have full pretty lashes you'll hardly believe it!6) Almost forgot, most important, always use a makeup remover to get all your mascara off at night, no matter what brand you use (any type remover, cheap or expensive, so long as it gets it all off) because leaving any mascara on your lashes at night causes them to stick to things, break off and get pulled out as you sleep. No lie. It really will happen. Now that I remove my mascara properly, the difference in my lashes is night and day. « less" - Sephora user

"I absolutely love this Covergirl mascara. I switched from the Almay mascara and noticed the difference right away. It is easy to apply. It never looks spidery and it really stays put! I love the color of it and its looks natural and nicely defines my eyes. I've been buying this ever since I switched. It gives me volume and length without looking very fake and clumpy. There is always the perfect amount on the brush which never clumps or globs. Whenever I put it on I don't have to apply a billion layers to make it look like I even have any on. Just a few simple swipes, and my eyes are defined, beautiful and all set to go. Add a little eyeliner, and I'm all set to go. I love how my eyes look using this Covergirl Voluminous Mascara on my top and bottom lashes. It might look a bit fake on my bottom lashes but just don't pull through the lases, instead just pat it on top of the bottom lashes for a more natural look. « less" - viewpoints.com user
"I have been using this product for 7 years and I will never go back to not using a lash primer - if I'm wearing mascara, I'm wearing this primer.Since I started using it, my lashes are longer and fuller (without mascara!). I have no idea what's in this product that makes your lashes grow longer, but I stopped using a lash curler years ago, I just don't need it any more. With the primer, mascara both stays on my lashes better (no flaking off or transferring/smudging to my lower lash line), and also comes off cleaner (especially noticeable when using waterproof mascara). The primer does a great job of separating and providing extra length to your lashes, just make sure to let the primer really dry before adding your mascara. When I get compliments on my lashes, people will ask which mascara I use, but honestly, I don't think it's so much the mascara that's making the difference, I'm convinced it's this primer! Will continue to purchase as long as they keep making it. « less" - Sephora user
