Sheer Glow Foundation by NARS

"I was lucky enough to be given a generous amount of sample by a cast member to try before buying the full size product. First off - on certain areas of my face, I have several minor scarring from acne. The rest of my face has unevenness (with my forehead being darker than the rest of my face). I also have an oily skin so I tend to stray away from liquid foundations and only stick to mineral make-up and powder foundations. Now, NARS offers Sheer Glow (which is geared towards dry/normal skin and Sheer Matte (which is geared towards combination/oily skin). I was a little cautious about this foundation simpy because of the fact it may be too hydrating for my oily skin. Can we say, "Hello, oil slick!" Nevertheless, I was proven wrong. Read on.I wanted to give liquid foundations again a try and see how it works out with my skin now that it has cleared up from acne, despite of the leftover scars it left me. This foundation along with Sheer Matte with NARS is said to have complexion brightening properties that will improve skin's brightness, radiance in texture overtime. I have a medium golden/yellow toned face and I was matched and given a sample in Punjab. I applied this foundation with a flat top kabuki brush after applying Make Up For Ever's HD Microperfecting Primer (which is AMAZING for holding up makeup) in 0, Neutral. The first thing I noticed was that this foundation blended easily and the color is more yellow toned which I liked. One layer of this foundation gave me a fairly medium coverage with a somewhat glow, yet matte finish. Do note though that I used a flat top kabuki brush and the bristles are more packed together so it provided a fairly medium coverage for me. On my troubled spots, I noticed they were partly covered and usually I follow-up with a concealer, but I just put another layer on my troubled areas and it covered it just fine without any concealer. Since I have oily skin, I usually set my face with a translucent loose powder or Bare Escentuals' Matte (in Golden Medium). To set my face, I use Make Up For Ever's HD Kabuki Brush, which I simply adore. This foundation remainded on my face from morning until nighttime and only had to touch up once. The color remained true and I did not experience any oxidizing on my face. I still had oil surface on my face, but it was definitely controlled. I would buy this foundation next time I run out of what I am currently using (Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Mattifying liquid foundation - which is also another amazing liquid foundation). « less" - Sephora user

Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup by Clinique

An eight-hour wear, liquid makeup that neutralizes redness and blends away blemishes.

PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation by Jane Iredale

"I wear this wet-dry pressed powder, spf 20 foundation in Golden Glow. For reference, my Bare Escentuals color match is Golden Medium. JI Golden Glow is lighter, and less yellow than the BE Golden Medium, and more beige/light tan than gold, but it's the closest BE to IE match for me. Riviera and Suntan are wonderful colors for medium skin tones as well, but the undertones seem more "neutral", while Golden Glow is definitely for "warm" skin. The Jane Iredale compact is just gorgeous, and using it makes me feel refined and elegant, (and I need all the help I can get...!) When I was a child, my mother, aunts, and grandmothers would carry their Estee Lauder powders (for their noses) in artistic, ornate compacts. JI's heavy, gold colored, high quality compact makes me remember how much I longed to wear makeup just because it was pretty and fun to touch. This compact is nice to carry around to use powder as needed, but I like best to apply it in the morning as an all-over face foundation, because it lasts so long I rarely need touch-ups until late in the day. Like most mineral makeups this adds a small bit of healthy "glow", but in this case, it really is a healthy glow; not glitter, which makes my pores look 80x worse than they look without makeup. Also, unlike other mineral foundations (especially pressed ones), this doesn't cake up too badly around my eyes. My need for a traditional "matte" foundation has faded due to glycolic and retinol treatments, and, of course, age, but if this powder had existed when I truly needed long-lasting, shine-free foundation, I think it would have been a dream-come-true. Compared to all the other brands of mineral powders I've tried, Jane Iredale pressed foundation is the silkiest, has the best coverage, has no glitter, has sunscreen protection, and performs the best around my eyes without making me look like I'm 80. (I have to be realistic, at 44. Powders are going to accentuate lines. It's just the way it is. But I choose the trade-off of the accentuation of a few lines in order to cover my pores, and even out that annoying melasma. As far as coverage, refining skin tone colors, and looking smooth, this is superior to every other pressed mineral foundation I've tried. If you're looking for a "skin-like", or "no-makeup" look, this foundation probably won't work well. It's very comfortable, and it doesn't scream, "MAKE-UP!", but, at least on me, nobody would mistake it for bare skin. This has medium coverage when applied with a brush, but it can easily work as a full coverage foundation if applied with a sponge or powder puff, or wet. The price seems utterly ridiculous, and it's the one thing that kept me from trying Jane Iredale products, for years. Now that I've been using many of her products, I do see why they get away with the high price. They are more highly pigmented, color concentrated, and elegant than many other mineral brands, and their colors seem closer to the colors of real human skin than lots of other makeup. « less" - Beauty.com user

Peach Perfect Foundation by Too Faced

"This is my new favorite foundation. I have very oily skin with dry patches that sometimes spring up because of my eczema, but it is still very smoothing and does not exaggerate dryness and wears all day. I start to get a bit shiny around the 9/10 hour mark, but this foundation has lasted through a 12 hour day and still looked beautiful and in tact when I took it off. This reminds me so much of the Estee Lauder Double Wear, which is actually not that much of a surprise considering they own Too Faced now. To me, it has all the benefits of double wear without some of the drawbacks, like the heaviness, sometimes cakiness, and no pump double wear has. It is so light on the skin and I do find it to have good and buildable coverage. Strangely, I find the coverage to look fuller once it has set, so I only use a half pump to a full pump for my whole face now. I also love that this comes with 1.6oz of product and for $36! It is also truly transfer resistant, which double wear has never been on me. This also doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, hasn't broken me out, and though I don't like the smell of peaches, I don't mind it at all in this. I am glad I've found this because I've always loved the double wear but was looking for something similar that was lighter, had a pump, etc. and this is it. My only complaint is that the shade range leaves much to be desired. I wear Vanilla but have more golden undertones. I can pull off Vanilla okay, but wish they would come out with more shades for everyone to be able to find their shade as this formula is that good. I am have a light-medium to medium skin tone and the fact that I wear the 3rd shade in the line is a testament to how small the range is. If you are fairer-skinned or deeper-skinned you will most likely not find a shade, and Too Faced needs to fix that. However, if you can find your shade now, and are looking for a great foundation, I would say do not hesitate on this one. The matching primer is also great and pairs well. « less" - Sephora user

Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick by Lancôme

"I got this product for free to review (Product Review Club).I tried this foundation stick for 2 days before writing a review. I got the 250 Bisque (W) as a highlighter. It was almost close to my skin tone so the results of me using it as a highlighter was not as visible as I wanted it to be. I have use highlighting powder in the past and I would say that this foundation stick is much better. The application is so smooth and a little creamy. It blends really well. I have large pores and it filled up my pores nicely and not cakey at all. I always have problems by my cheek area. Any foundation or concealer I use no matter what primer I have on first, still gets cakey and creasy. This foundation blended nicely and gave me a nice coverage. I use a damp blending sponge and also used an angled liquid foundation brush and they both worked really well. I like using it now to highlight my brows.I would say it is a light to medium coverage but very buildable til you achieve full coverage you wanted. It also blended nicely with the finishing powder I was using. I love that it is oil free and has a matte finish. It is not a very matte finish. I'd say it's in between dewy and matte.. but like 70% matte just enough glow that it makes the finish looks really nice. The SPF is an added bonus! I should say too that it is not transfer proof or smudge proof.. it is TRANSFER and SMUDGE resistant.. meaning there will still be minimal transfer and it will still budge. It is very light weight. I don't even feel like I was wearing makeup. I will continue to use this and would probably get the shade closest to my skin tone as my base foundation and get a dark one for contouring once my contour cream is done. I love how small it is and you can just take anywhere with you. My makeup on day 1 trying this product lasted for a good 9 hours til I have to remove it. My work involves running around and cleaning and my makeup was still on til I got home.I guess it all depends on your skin type. This will probably not be good for oily skin. Oh yeah, it wasn't cakey at all on my dry spots and covered it up pretty well. I like how easy it is to use this product and just glides on my skin. The price may be a bit in a higher range but I think it's worth it. :)Thank you again ChickAdvisor for the nice opportunity. « less" - chickadvisor.com user

Perfectly Real Compact Makeup by Clinique

"I grew up with what most would gingerly refer to as, "problematic skin". Honey, my face's terrain was a red, rocky landscape that put the Rockies to shame. Mince garlic, not words, people.Years of dermatologic visits, beginning at the tender age of 8. Every single prescription pill, cream, gel, wash, and toner available on the market was thrown at me, short of Accutane. Understandably, my folks weren't too keen on the drug after seeing my oldest brother's miserable (and unsuccessful) experience.Needless to say, my pre-teen, teenage, and early 20's years contained The Quest for the Holy Compact. Name a brand and a product. I've tried it. Drugstore brands. As seen on TV. Magazine rave reviews. Dermatologist recommended. And of course, I tried everything that was recommended for my skin by various consultants from various companies (even Clinique, back around age 13). But my finicky skin rejected them all. Too dry. Too cakey. Turns my face into a mirror within an hour. Changes color after a couple hours. Makes my breakouts worse. Can't build up coverage. Not enough coverage. You get the picture. But then, at 18, I find this product. Cue angelic chorus bursting forth from parted clouds. It matched my skin perfectly (shade 114), banishing my uneven, blotchy redness with ease. Didn't change color through the day. Stayed put. A little more coverage here, a little less coverage there. Prevented shine without drying my skin out. It was ridiculously perfect. I cannot stress that enough. This Holy Compact--so innocent in its pleasant spring-mint packaging--contained the stunning conclusion to my quest.10 years later, here I am at 28, still faithfully carrying this precious product in my purse each day. Even if you discontinue this product, just know that it made a huge impact on the tumultuous and socially-ostracized adolescent life of one girl. Thank you. Less" - clinique.com.my user

Superbalanced Makeup by Clinique

"If you are reading reviews to see if you should try this foundation, I am here to help! I was skeptical and when an offer came up for a deluxe sample, I gave it a try. I am 21 years old and I have a malar rash ("butterfly rash" brought on by Lupus/SLE). My rash extends from my cheeks down towards my chin a bit and on the bridge of my nose. It looks similar to acne scars and acne redness spots after a pimple has been popped. It is EXTREMELY hard to cover up without feeling cakey. I have tried everything. My favorites before this foundation are it cosmetics cc cream and Estee Lauder's double wear. However, double wear was very heavy and dried extremely quick and was obvious on the skin and it cosmetics cc cream was just a bit too light and I always ended up using a ton of concealer. With this product, I use 1-2 very light coats. I think those reviewers who are saying that this product has minimal coverage are using the wrong applicator tool. Normally, I am a beauty blender girl, but this foundation works best with a brush. I SWEAR by the new it cosmetics "heavenly skin" brush. Yes, it is expensive, but they last for years (I have several brushes from it) and it makes your application ten times better. Apply a little on your hand and apply an even coat in circular motions. Then, take another coat and apply in a dabbing motion (as if you are dapping the beauty blender). Whala! You have full coverage and NO redness or blemishes anymore. The foundation stays on great with a setting powder. If you have any 3D pimples, I suggest also pairing this foundation with makeup forever's concealer in the tube. I have used this concealer for over 5 years and have tried almost 20 foundation's and concealers. This foundation and the concealer I recommend are the BEST! Happy shopping :) <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="4535047209593659399-full" data-show="4535047209593659399-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Pro Longwear Foundation by MAC

"For the past year and half I have been on the hunt for a foundation that meets all of my needs - great color match (that doesn't oxidize), long-wearing, weightless and keeps my combo/oily skin under control (without looking matte/flat). It's a lot to ask of ONE product so I was beginning to give up...until I tried MAC's PLW foundation! O-M-G! I apply the foundation around 6:30am and don't get home until 7pm, and my face still looks great! No powder touch-ups, MAYBE blotting with a blotting sheet mid-day, but other than that, the minimal amt of oil that comes through makes it look super natural (I wouldn't even call it dewey). I'll only touch up with powder if I'm going out after work and want to look extra polished. This baby has met and exceeded all of my expections! A definite must-try! (BTW - I don't have sensitive skin so I can't speak to whether it would be good for those who do break out from certain ingredients). In terms of my shade and application method: I'm currently darker than normal, so I'm wearing NC44 but think I'll have to get NC42 and mix it come winter. Or I might try to mix it with the PLW concealer that I have in NC35. I use a flat top kabuki brush to apply and have been meaning to try it with my BB sponge. I moisturize with a yellow moisturizing gel (from a mid-price skincare line that starts with C and has a Q in it LOL), prime with MAC's Natural Radiance in yellow and set with MSFN in Medium Tan (thank you for this new color BTW! Love it!). I pair with the PLW concealer in NW30 for underneath my eyes (also lasts all day), and set the undereye with MAC'S translucent pressed powder. Hope this helps! #peace <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - M·A·C user

Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation by Fenty Beauty

"I usually use a mineral powder foundation because every liquid one I've tried has left my skin feeling either super-clogged or like I want to scratch my face off, but the description of this foundation sounded amazing so I was excited to give it a go.First things first, I am in LOVE with the packaging for this foundation, the glass bottle feels and looks amazing and high quality and the design makes it look much more expensive than it actually is. The pump action dispenser gives a nice controlled amount so you're not wasting any.The foundation itself feels creamy but light, and it goes on like a dream. The packaging blurb states that you need to make sure you moisturize before using it, but having combination oily skin I found this wasn't absolutely necessary for it to look good, but does give the best possible finish. I've tried applying with a brush and a beauty blender and found the blender gave the more flawless finish. I found when applied with a brush it tended to cling more to any areas of texture. Either way, it sets quickly so you need to work fast to get it to blend perfectly. The look this foundation gives is a nice soft matte look, not powdery or cake like a lot of matte look foundations do. For me I really do feel it gives that 'your skin but better' look, and for the first time I actually think it's almost undetectable that I'm wearing foundation. It just gives my skin that smoother, more perfected look, whilst still looking totally natural. It can be built up to a more full coverage but then it does start to become more obvious and cling more to pores, lines etc. For me, the natural coverage it gives is just perfect as I don't go for a heavily made up look.I've found the foundation lasts better on my skin than any other liquid foundation I've tried, and it doesn't slide or sweat off even in hot environments. It lasts easily 8+ hours and doesn't transfer onto clothes etc. I've also found it feels unnoticeable on my skin which is something no other liquid foundation has done. It doesn't feel like it's clogging my pores, and it doesn't itch or irritate my sensitive skin.As for the shade range, it's obviously fantastic and has been widely celebrated. I have the shade 110 which looks ridiculously pale on me when first applied, but it darkens down within a few minutes, so that's something to be aware of when choosing your shade. I found this darkened down to about one shade lighter than my skin tone despite looking at least 5 shades lighter when first applied. So when I repurchase this I'll be going a shade up to get a truer match. All in all this is hands down the best liquid foundation I've ever used, and the only one I will actually be repurchasing. I still prefer my mineral powder foundation because it's super quick and easy to apply, but when I have the time to use a liquid foundation this will be it! Less" - boots.com user

Vitalumiere Aqua by Chanel
4.7(790)$50

"I couldnt remember where I got my sample of Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua broad spectrum spf 15. I looked into every subscription beauty box I receive, including Macys Beauty Box. I ended up at Macys finding this wonderful, life saving foundation or teint as its referred as on the sample. I read the 2nd review listed in this thread and everything she said, I totally agree. You only need a pea size to cover your entire face. After I applied this teint, I had to take a DOUBLE TAKE in the mirror. I'm 57, soon 58. Enlarged pores are my nightmare. Not only does this teint loom like my own skin, it totally blurred my pores. In 6 hours and counting, it has not oxidized, has not settled into fine lines and has not become oily. This base actually looks just like skin. I take great care of my skin and spend the bulk of my splurges on high end skin care. Most days, I dont even wear foundation or a base. I tend to stay with BB Creams or skin tints. Just to even things out. Usually after using powder and setting spray, I good. But, I really havent been satisfied with ANY Brands foundations or skin tints lately until I used my sample of Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. My skin is dry so its imperative I use a base that continues to look dewy but not greasy as my day moves forward. This teint looks just as fresh at 8:00pm as it did at 2:00pm. My complexion is a medium/lightbw/neutral undertones. I can go warm or cool. My sample is spot on as far as matching my skin tone. The sample is 30 BEIGE. I'm here to order the full size. Ladies , if you have dry skin and always find your base setting into fine lines and pores, this teint ix for you! 110%!! Sure, its a bit more expensive than some, and even more so than probably what youre use to spending but, if youre like me and reviewer NO. 2, BUY THIS! You will not regret it. The shade range is broad enough, you should be able to match up. « less" - Macy's user

Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint by Neutrogena

"I got this full-size bottle of foundation in the lightest shade as a free gift and I really wasn't expecting much because I have such fair skin and even the lightest shade is usually too dark for me or oxidizes a horrible shade of Orange shortly after application even with a good primer. I am 51 and have very dry skin and fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes that I am treating with serums and creams and most foundations make it worse not better by settling into the fine lines and creases so it looks worse with Foundation than without. I have tried pretty much all of the high-end foundations and have had little luck with any of them except for Urban Decay Naked skin which I use the lightest shade .05 it does not oxidize on me but it does feel a bit heavy. So needless to say I was not expecting much from this Foundation. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it had an applicator which made it very easy to just dot it all over my face instead of pumping it into my hand and then dotting it on my face and then having to use my foundation brush to wipe it off my hand and then start blending it into my face it's just a convenience issue which is nice. that being said I used my favorite foundation brush my It Cosmetics 101 blurring foundation brush and this was just over moisturizer and elf hydrating primer because I didn't want to use a high-end primer I wanted to see what this Foundation had on its own and holy cow! It literally blew me away! It how easily it Blended in with my skin! It was like I was not even wearing Foundation! it felt and looked so natural that I couldn't believe it! I had to go and ask my fiance what he thought, and he said that my skin looked wonderful! He said what did I put on it? he said it doesn't look like you're wearing any makeup but it looks great! (he knows how sensitive I have been about my aging skin lately!) I set the foundation with just a little bit of Too Faced's ethereal setting powder and their three in one priming setting spray and it has been on now for over 10 hours without any oxidation or transfer separation dry patches or oiliness and it looks gorgeous! I am switching to this Foundation because I believe I have found my Holy Grail!! Thank God for this Foundation because I was about to give up on my skin because no Foundation looked good on me while I was treating my lines and wrinkles it seems to look worse with any foundation as I said previously except this one! maybe because it has hyaluronic acid in it, or because it's such a light formula but it does have very good coverage for me and I used very little and as I said I used my favorite foundation brush and no concealer which is unheard of for me because I have slight dark circles under my eyes because my skin is so fair and I don't sleep well because of chronic pain. sorry this review is so long but I am just as I said blown away by this Foundation!! If I could rate it higher than five stars I would! I highly recommend it to anyone with mature dry skin and sensitive skin who has the worry of foundation settling into fine lines and wrinkles because this just didn't do it!! « less" - ulta.com user

Future Skin Foundation by chantecaille

"Ever since I was recommended this product by one of the lovely ladies at MECCA, I have been utterly in love with this phenomenal and life changing foundation. After using this product for a month, I have received SO many compliments (and still continue to do so!) which instantly bumped up my self-confidence and helped me to produce an inner glow and an outer one due to the sheer, natural dewiness this innovative product provides. Why should this be your 'holy grail' foundation? Well, once you've gently dipped your fingers into its gorgeous gel-creme texture, the foundation will instantly melt into your skin like a dream! This foundation cleverly adapts to your skin giving you the natural, healthy glow your skin deserves, without leaving you feeling oily, caked, or sticky. It gives a light to medium coverage that you can wear happily throughout the day and build-up if needed to for the evening.I was delighted to see that the ingredients contain water; meaning my foundation would be less likely to slip and slide off my face and onto my clothes, and it also helps stimulate hydration which is great for combatting the wintertime flakiness. Also, the Rosemary leaf extract is a powerful anti-oxidant, fighting off all the early stages of ageing and fellow nasties that we want to keep away from our skin!To sum it all up, this foundation is SUCH a revolutionary product, well worth the hype and price! A MUST for the Mecca beauty junkie, or anyone wanting to truly experience the future of makeup as it also is HD compatible. I recommend wearing this over Hourglass's Mineral Veil to boost the longevity of this luxurious foundation! Less" - mecca.com.au user

"This foundation has the perfect level of coverage and has a moist dewy finish that does not settle into fine lines and wrinkles. I use Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer with SPF 30 as my base moisturizer. I do not use loose or pressed powder and the make-up lasts all day! There is only one drawback - and it's very minor.....the pump take a very strong, firm finger to press it down. I would like to see a change in the level of difficulty in pressing the pump. I have to use my thumb to dispense a full measure of the product. :( Other that than, it's great! CRC is an excellent company and ships with speed and the product is packaged with excellence for no leaks or breakage. " - camerareadycosmetics.com user

Radiant Loose Powder Foundation by Nude by Nature

"I have always only used liquid foundations so when I received this product for free, I was so excited to try out this powder foundation for the first time. I received the colour, "N2 Classic Beige" which this foundation is encased in a round container with this cloth mesh covering so the contents don’t spill out all at once. There is 10g worth of product in this container and that’s a lot considering all you really need a light dusting of this powder and you’ve achieved a natural flawless glow. This foundation is buildable to a medium coverage and has no scent. It covered my redness rather well. The colour matched my skin really well. While being feathery light blending into my skin amazingly well giving the illusion like you’re not wearing any foundation at all. And it really does feel like you’re wearing nothing at all.You need to use the flawless brush(dense brush) to achieve optimal results. To achieve the results you want, you need to dip brush into the mineral powder, turn brush over and tap handle gently against container so that the powder falls into the brush. This helps achieve even coverage as you buff circular motions into your skin working from inward out. This foundation can be drying to the skin so you need to moisturize well beforehand. If you are also using concealer and any sort of liquid products, get those out of the way first before you powder foundation, otherwise it can look a bit cakey and start to separate.I think this foundation would be perfect for the summer when it's hot/and or humid because the last thing you want to do is wear something too heavy. This foundation is perfectly light and breathable for these types of conditions but is great year round. I did notice throughout the day that my concealer underneath my eyes started to crease a bit and that my nose became shiny even though this product states that it has oil-controlling properties. It also started to rub off a bit on my nose, but nothing a little touch up can’t fix and it’ll look great again. I also noticed that the foundation held up very well for me after work when I went to the gym. Sweatproof and allows your skin to breathe. Nice!Ultimately, I love the finish so much! Giving my skin this light, wonderful glow. An almost airbrushed look without looking powdery. Now that’s my kinda foundation! Thank you Nude by Nature!#freeproduct Less" - beautyboutique.ca user

Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation by honeybee gardens

"I really love this foundation. This is a very versatile product with great coverage. It gives me similar coverage to my old foundation (Revlon Colorstay foundation, a very full coverage foundation, but full of toxic ingredients). It does a fantastic job covering up redness and evening out skin tone, especially if used in conjunction with a concealer for any blemishes. The interesting thing I've noticed about this foundation is that if my skin has more moisture (or is more oily# when I use it the application has more of a 'wet' consistency. It behaves almost like a liquid foundation on my skin once it's applied. It still looks beautiful and I find once I blend it in, apply concealer under eyes & over any imperfections/blemishes, and finish with a light powder, it looks great. However, if my skin is having a 'dry' day #I'm 27, with combination skin# this foundation will apply without me needing to cover with a powder except for perhaps a light dusting over my t-zone. Either way it looks great though and gives me full coverage. I cannot recommend this foundation enough. :# I suggest buying the actual foundation first #it will come in a clear plastic container you can easily store it in# and then deciding if you like it enough to buy the heavy duty Honeybee Gardens silver compact to store it in. If you are going to continue using this foundation purchasing the compact is worth it #& then you just have to buy the replacement cartridges once your makeup runs out#, but I wouldn't recommend buying it right away when purchasing your first HB foundation, because you don't necessarily need it. I suggest buying & trying out the foundation to see how you like it first! Also, this particular color #Supernatural# is a light shade that I would say is comparable to the 'beige' range of foundation colors. If you normally wear the ivory colors #lightest color/colors# offered by most foundations I recommend the color Geisha instead. I normally wear the light beige-range type colors and Supernatural is a perfect match for me. It also has been looking great even as I've worn it all winter long, though I suspect it will blend a bit better once I have a little more color to my skin from sunshine #though not much#.Supernatural has a yellow undertone that anyone with pink undertones #like me# will appreciate, as this balances out your skin and gives your skin a nice flawless finish. Also, this foundation can be applied using a brush as well as a pouf/ cosmetic pad. It's pretty versatile and seems to look great no matter how I apply it.Also, I recommend the Honeybee Gardens stackable pot mineral eyeshadow in Spellbound. This is a beautiful color and looks even better when paired with the foundation. Temptress is a good crease-shade to pair with it as well, though if you're just going to try one I'd definitely recommend Spellbound. Spellbound really makes green eyes pop and would be beautiful with rich brown eyes as well #or hazel# and perhaps also some shades of blue... I also highly recommend the Honeybee Gardens eyeliners in Belgian Chocolate and Jet Set. I have both and I actually think they are very similar in their darkness #the Belgian Chocolate being almost as dark as the black eyeliner Jet Set# but the rich color of Belgian Chocolate is my absolute favorite. It's a very pretty eyeliner shade. They stay put pretty well and although I do get some bleeding at the outer edges of my eyes through normal wear after a few hours, I get that with ALL eyeliners, except the liquid water-proof types. Again, can't recommend these shadows/liners enough, especially Spellbound.Lastly, be careful when ordering this foundation from Swanson Vitamins and if it arrives to you cracked or damaged please know that that's not normally the case with this product when it's shipped appropriately by other sites/sellers. The only time I've ordered it from here #recently# it arrived to me cracked and falling apart. :# This is not flimsy foundation but probably needs some bubble wrap around it to protect it when being shipped with large shipments #my last shipment when I ordered it was large with some big conditioner bottles and a lot of other things#. I've ordered it multiple times from Amazon #different sellers# and Vitacost and it's always arrived to me in perfect condition, so that really disappointed me. I highly recommend this foundation, just be careful if you're making a big order from SV and know that it might be worth it to order from somewhere else #the sellers I usually buy from on Amazon normally sell it for around $9 including shipping#. For me the extra $2 is worth knowing that my foundation will get to me in perfect condition and not cracked or falling apart. I'm not returning the foundation I purchased from here because I can still use it using a brush, it's just a major annoyance and I can't use it in my compact or like I normally would use the foundation. « less" - Swanson Health Products user

Double Wear Light Stay-In-Place Makeup by Estée Lauder

"This foundation comes in a lightweight squeezy container, which is amazing for portability plus I find it less messy and wasteful than standard foundations. The foundation itself is creamy and not runny at all, but it spreads very evenly onto the face. It applies fabulously with a brush but I prefer to use fingers, as I feel this warms up the foundation a bit to help it blend. I blend out from the middle and it gives a glowy look at first but dries down to a natural, semi-matte finish. The coverage is amazing, it covers blemishes and redness so well - I'd say it covers just as well as the normal Double Wear, but with a different (less matte) finish. Because it's less matte, I find it more flattering on the slightly uneven texture of my skin. It gives an illusion of lovely smooth skin, but doesn't look like you're wearing heavy foundation. This is the best foundation I've found for combination skin, as it doesn't dry out or cause flakiness on the drier parts of my face, but it also controls oil really well on the shinier parts. I work full time and also attend evening classes, so I can personally testify that this lasts over 16 hours (!) on me without a primer or setting powder. I'm really particular about my base makeup looking good as I think it makes a huge difference, and this foundation even seemed to make my blusher last longer. I wore this foundation to my wedding about 18 months ago, and it lasted even in heat exceeding 40 degrees! It also photographed beautifully - even in the un-retouched photos from family and friends, my face looked airbrushed! My skin really isn't that great naturally, so this is a LIFESAVER. I'm a total foundation addict and have tried most of the high end brands, but this wins every time. Thanks Estee Lauder, this is absolutely my favourite product! Please bring out more shades though, like you have done for Double Wear - as a pale warm-toned girl, shade 1.0 is a little too dark and pinky for me in the winter. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="3928115401085027846-full" data-show="3928115401085027846-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Estée Lauder user

Gloprotective Liquid Foundation by glo minerals

"This foundation is by far the BEST available and I've tried a ton of brands. I have some melasma and a little acne scarring and this foundation covers easily. You can "build" to give a little more coverage where needed and it has a perfect satin finish, not too shiny nor too dull/dry. It does not settle in fine lines, it lasts all day without getting "cakey" or needing touch ups and does not feel heavy or "mask-like".The ONLY product that covers better is Glo pressed base, which I also love. However because the pressed base is a powder, I find this foundation a better choice if you have dry or mature skin with fine lines and wrinkles or any acne scarring or issues with texture as I have.I wish Glo offered smaller "sample" sizes for sale, as finding the exact correct shade was a bit challenging and costly. My correct shade in the pressed base was not the same as my shade in this foundation. « less" - canada.gloprofessional.com user

Redness Solutions Makeup Foundation with Probiotic Technology by Clinique

"Background: I have acne-prone, Asian light-medium with warm tones, combo-oily skin with medium size pores and some hyperpigmentation. This did not break me out. Shade: 3/5. Not a fan of the selection of shades. I settled on Neutral, which (thank god) makes my skin a teensy bit darker but overall works (it makes me look healthy, rather than washed out) Packaging: 5/5! Definitely is hygienic, there's a dropper-like opening at the top of the tube that allows consistent dispensing of the foundation without allowing bacteria or other stuff to get inside easily. Very nice when compared with other foundations with pour-out hole openings Application: 4/5. I use my fingers, rather than a brush. 3 dots on each cheek, 2 on my forehead, 2 on nose, and 2 on chin, then I blend everything out. Takes me about 30 seconds, muchh faster than when I used mineral makeup. This is smooth and dries quickly, and doesn't rub off that easily. Coverage is medium, but can be built on to add more coverage. In fact, I dab a few more dots of this as a concealer for my trouble spots. Sunscreen coverage: this has spf 15, which is an OK amount but I live in sunny California so I use another SPF 30 (or more depending on the day) sunscreen before this Redness reducing claim: Clinique claims that over time, this will actually help minimize redness on the skin. Well, I've used it for approximately one month now and can testify that that is TRUE. It's amazing, I know. I couldn't believe it myself, but my skin truly looks less red and flushed (I break out easily and always had troubled flushed skin). Overall: Highly recommended if you suffer from facial redness (acne, rosacea, or eczema). « less" - viewpoints.com user

Super City Block Oil-Free Daily Face Protector Broad Spectrum by Clinique

"I have very fair skin and this product protects it very well. If I go out in the sun without it, I will literally get a burn and freckles within 15 minutes. I don't find it funny, however friends and family laugh at this. I've always been the fairest in my entire extended family, and would burn and blister, but as a child in the 70s sunscreen was not the thing. I've worn this for 20 years. At first they only had the 15 spf , then had a 25 which is now 40 - thank you! I used to have oily skin so I wouldn't wear it with moisturizer. Now I'm over 50 and I do usually wear some moisturizer with it, but mainly because the moisturizer is a primer and pore reducer, but don't need to as this definitely has some moisturizing capabilities. I ran out of City Block for a week a few months ago and used another more expensive and more natural product, but found it to be drying and cakey, but a very good product. I started to look older I swear and saw wrinkles starting to develop. I couldn't wait to receive my shipment of this. When people learn my age they are surprised, or don't believe me. I had to get help with my passport while in London recently and when I told them my birth date, they made me repeat the date with a look of disbelief and told me I don't look that age. I do get carded sometimes, but I was told recently that I look 35, although last night someone said I look 30, but I think this is an exaggeration. I use a lot of cosmetics, but I'm telling you that this is the ONLY cosmetic I've used consistently for so long without changing brands. I'm religious about putting this on. I do so every single morning, and if I do go out mid-day I try to put a bit more on. City Block doesn't absorb right away, so I apply, and then after 1-2 minutes apply other cosmetics. Sometimes I put moisturizer first and sometimes after. I'm not sure of the proper order. But either way seems fine. The reason I started to use it ,and continued to use it for so long is that it was the only one I had found the didn't sting my eyes, didn't have fragrance, and that I didn't develop an allergy to. My eyes are extremely sensitive to almost all cosmetics and skin care products. Prior to this I had used and tried several different sunscreens, but eventually I developed an allergy to all the others. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup by Clinique

"All I can say is wow! I decided to try this because it looked great on my cousin, it is oil free, paraben free and had very appealing claims. I got a sample of Amber, Clove and Sienna because I have a very strong yellow undertone although my skin is in the deep/dark category. So, a lot of makeup can look flat, dull and unnatural on my skin. Then I have to go back and add some warmth and glow with bronzers, blush and such. After wearing the sample of Clove for a week, I decided to go ahead a buy a full size and I haven't looked back. I wear the Tarte 12 hour primer or Hourglass underneath and set with Black|Up powder. It's great without primer too but I just love primer <3 My acne prone, often dry patchy or rough textured skin looks smooth, soft, EVEN, natural, and just beautiful. I've worn it in 97 degree L.A. dry heat and 97 degree Houston HUMID heat and the results were the same. Oil does not break through at all for at least 8 hours, and even then its minimal. It does not settle in lines, melt, or move at all. And all for less than $25! I'm so glad I tried this. This is my new favorite foundation that I can wear everyday with ease. It doesn't look like I have on foundation - I would say it's medium coverage because it does not cover my dark marks 100% but I don't mind, I just use concealer to cover the spots if I want a more flawless look. It also feels so LIGHT on my skin. Other matte formulas can make your skin feel tight or you literally feel it on your skin and can't wait to wash it off. This also spreads evenly and can be applied with a brush, fingers or sponge, and just a pea size dollop will do the job. The texture is like a gel-cream. I dot it all over my fave and use my fingers to apply, then smooth out with sponge. The only issue is If you apply too much and try to build it to full coverage at night, without a color correcting primer, it can give camera flashback, fyi. If BB creams just don't do it for you, you don't like full coverage and like to be natural looking each day to cover imperfections/redness/hyperpigmentation, this may be for you! :-} <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Born This Way Foundation by Too Faced

"Despite the reviews about this product being bad for dry skin, when paired with the right primer (I use Benefit’s Porefessional Hydrating) it can work well with any skin type! I’m in show choir and I could wear this product all day during competitions and it would look exactly the same as when I put it one in the morning (except for minor forehead and smile line creases, but that’s always been a problem for me)." - mira user

Pure Finish Mineral Bronzing Powder by Elizabeth Arden

"I have just purchased this for a second time after getting it first on an aeroplane back from my hols. At first when I put it on I was a bit shocked at how dark it looks but once blended in I was impressed, blends well and gives you a lovely just got back from your holidays glow! I use a bigger brush rather than the smaller brush provided. It's very shimmery so I don't wear this day to day at work etc but perfect for a night out and when getting glammed up. I wore it out last weekend and a lot of girlfriends commented on how nice my bronzer looked and asked which brand it was. Doesn't last as long as my bronzing block (Estée Lauder) but I still would keep buying again for the colour and it's quality." - Debenhams user

SkinClearing Liquid Makeup by Neutrogena

"I really didn't want to try a liquid makeup because the few I've tried look caked on and greasy, whereas powders and mouses seem to work better with my skin, rather than sit on top. But my prom was coming up, so I decided to try this product to keep my acne at bay during the day.I love love love love this product! It is smooth and mats oil throughout the day, rather than sitting on top of my face like other liquids. I am pale and burn easily, so I love that this product also has SPF for everyday. Just in the first couple of days, my face feels smoother and softer, and no new blemishes at the end of the day. My pores were reduced in size and the coverage was excellent. Definitely going to stick with this product, well worth the price. My face was perfect by prom!Careful on picking a shade, it looks darker in the bottle than it actually is (so if you get a chance, dab some on your skin at the store to make sure the shade matches). Some people said this product made their face dry, but I have slightly oily skin, so this product works best for me, no dryness!Besides using this Neutrogena product, I also use the Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask (I use it as a night mask mostly), which I love and also recommend!Love Neutrogena, this is a keeper! « less" - neutrogena.com user

Serum Foundation by the ordinary

"I've never been disappointed with anything I've bought from this company and this foundation is no different. It gives a medium buildable coverage with a beautiful dewy, lumionous effect to the skin. I have dry to combo skin and this covers everything I need it to, pores, minor discolouration, redness & the occasional hormonal breakout. It feels like you are wearing nothing on the skin. It moves with you, is highly moisturising and gives a lit from within look. If you are looking for a matte finish with powdering this still gives the skin a life like appearance. I love it. I normally wear Diors air flash foundation. The price may be low but do not let that deceive you. I'm a very high end girl and this has given the look that the most expensive out there do. The shade range on my porcelain skin is incredible and I was able to match 1st time round with their large range of colours. I love this product and will be repurchasing. Another fantastic item from the ordinary. A big thank you to Wayne Goss for first bringing this company to the forefront of my mind years ago. I've been using their skin care for years and was over the moon to see they have now branched out in to mcosmetics." - beautybay user

True Match Super Blendable Compact Makeup by L'Oreal

"I purchased the true match liquid when I was on vacation and out of my Clinique foundation. I used the plastic shade guide against my skin tone ...it took me just a few minutes thanks to the guide to choose my perfect shade. I am so glad I tried this foundation ...it looks so natural, covers all my blemishes (redness, scar, little blood vessel, even my tough under eye issues) it can cover it all! It stays on all day and it does not settle in to my wrinkles!!! Wow that's huge. It actually makes you look like you have beautiful flawless skin...which i don't...i cant believe i have been paying big bucks and have never had this result even after sitting at a Clinique counter twice for a foundation consultation match. I have used BareMinerals, MaryKay, Clinique, MerleNorman and many many more but nothing has ever looked as good as Loreal True Match! I got so excited I called a friend to tell her she has to go get her perfect shade and see if she loves it as much as me. Loreal you have sold me, thank you for bringing out the beautiful in us all...confidence. « less" - lorealparisusa.com user

Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Foundation SPF 30 by Shiseido

"One of the best foundations Ive tried! It took me a while to review this because I wanted to test this for a couple of weeks before I give it a verdict. However, on first application, I had already fallen in love! The Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Foundation is a liquid foundation with medium coverage, so it works well at concealing most dark spots and acne. Upon application, the product sinks right into my skin, very reflective of its collection name, Synchro Skin, as the product really does feel as if its synchronizing into one with your skin, instead of feeling like an extra layer sitting on top of your skin surface. I like to apply and blend with a brush or my fingers for better blending. I use this along with their concealer (also a part of the same collection), and it looks like I have no foundation on! Its a very light weight product but very good coverage. The finish is smooth and keeps my skin looking hydrated, but not greasy. This is the holy grail of all foundations. I got this in the shade 250 Sand, and the shade match is OK, but I think I couldve went lighter.Next, lets talk SPF. Sun protection is crucial to me I apply sunscreen daily to protect from my skin sun damage, which is a top factor in wrinkles and skin aging. I love how this foundation is infused with SPF 30, so I do not need to apply sunscreen as an extra step to my makeup routine in the morning. It definitely saves me time, and money to use a 2-in-1 product.Price: I understand $47 for a foundation is steep for some consumers, especially those who purchase drugstore cosmetics. However, I think the price is decent, especially for a prestigious brand like Shiseido. Ive spent more on a bottle of foundation before, and quality wasnt as great as this one.Packaging: Anybody else obsessed with packaging? I am a sucker for buying products with pretty packaging. Give me good packaging and Im more willing to purchase than if I see a product with cheap packaging. I love how Shiseido kept the packaging simple but still chic. It gives off a luxury look. I am also grateful for the turn-and-lock technique for the container, so it is pretty much leak-proof if you carry it in your bag. Also, I love the pump for easy access and application, but I wish the pump was bigger.Brand: Shiseido has been one of the longest standing cosmetics brands in the world. Last year, Shiseido relaunched their makeup line. The Japanese brand is well-known for their skin care products, so I knew their makeup line wouldnt be any short of perfection as well. This Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing foundation is part of their new Synchro Skin collection launch. Fun fact: The shade names are all inspired by Ki, which is the Japanese concept of life force energy found in both animate and inanimate objects. Each shade references a material commonly found in nature, architecture, or design throughout Japan.Overall, I cannot recommend a better foundation if youre in the $30+ budget range on a foundation. My friend also purchased this foundation and she could not stop raving about it! And she has tried many luxury foundations like Armani, Givenchy, etc. Less" - shiseido.com user

Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation by Rimmel

"My classmate has some bad acne scarring. It's red, it's bumpy, and she finds it embarrassing. She uses this foundation every day and it literally covers it up to the point you don't realize just how much makeup she's wearing or that she has some skin concerns. It makes her skin look smooth and neutralizes the redness.I have some pretty intense acne scarring myself (bunch of bright red post inflammation scarring) that I can't seem to find a good enough foundation to cover.I decided to try this because I usually only use top brands like Tarte, Too Faced, MUFE, etc. but none of them were working. One application of this product, literally only a pea sized amount, and it completely covers all of my scarring!!You HAVE to move quickly with this product or it'll set too quickly and won't blend well. I use my brush and dab the product all over before blending it in.You HAVE to use a primer underneath it (my fav is Dermalogica's redness relief spf primer) preferably a silky one, or it'll sink into your pores/texture and won't look so flawless. You HAVE to set it with a setting spray (my go to is Urban Decay's all nighter spray) because it smooths out the texture more/melts the product into a more natural look, and makes it wear longer. And you HAVE to use as little as possible. When I used too much you could tell because it looked super cakey under my eyes/upper cheeks. This foundation lasted 3 hours before it started to shift and look a little cakey, and it lasted 10 hours before it started to completely separate.I LOVE this stuff but other than the prone-ness to look a little cakey, I find that it makes my sensitive skin a little itchy after initial application. But I am still discovering my skin allergies so it should be ok for other sensitive types.Overall I love this product and every one who is oily, sensitive and has scarring/dark spots to cover should try it! Less" - ulta.com user
