Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin by cerave

"I'm not sure what happened to my face for the past 2 weeks. I've never had major acne problems or bad skin...pimple every now and then. I remember putting Alpha Hydrox Spot Light Targeted Skin Lightener (pretty much a dark spot remover# on my cheek area and outer part of my nose. Went out in the sun for about 30mins #that's the most sun exposure I've had because I do not like heat at all# a couple of days later...next thing I knew, I woke up and had like these burnt marks on my cheeks and nose. At first I thought my face was just dry so I did my routine with my Mary Kay 3-in-1 Cleanser but then when I put on my makeup #after using my Neutrogena oil free moisturizer#, mainly my foundation #cream, liquid, and/or powder# I noticed that the make-up was just sitting there and it formed like a rim around the dark spots - it was SO obvious! I noticed that I could peel some of it away when I scratched it lightly or used a tweezer, so I told myself - lay off the makeup and just put something to soften it so it can peel away faster. I used Vaseline, Shea butter, and even Neosporin at night but the flakes were still there after washing my face with the cleanser. Some of it went away but I noticed it was still there when I put on makeup and it was kind of hard like a scar. So I tried using a scrub at night, which it did help very little, but I would have to scrub my face kind of hard with Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub in order to remove the flakes, then my cheeks were kind of red and sore. I knew that things were not getting better because it would burn after using the Aveeno scrub and when putting on the Shea butter or Neosporin. So finally looked online and did some research on Tuesday, June 4th on how to get rid of "dead/flaky skin" #mind you, the past 2 weeks, I barely wore makeup#. Found this one article online and they said the key was: 1. CLEANSE #with a scrub or exfoliate# 2. FACIAL STEAM #pour hot water in a bowl and cover your head with a bath towel and allow the steam to penetrate - be careful not to burn yourself! If you feel the steam is too much remove the towel for a short period of time and go back# 3. HYDRATE #with a moisturizer with that contains ceramides, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid to draw in moisture, strengthening and plumping skin, plus SPF 30 to protect it from the sun# When researching the moisturizer, quite a bit of websites said CeraVe was one of the best and highly recommended by dermatologist. After reading the reviews, I said to myself - "Why not"!. I went to Wal-Mart and purchased the CeraVe on Tuesday, June 4th. I followed these 3 steps above and put the CeraVe all over my face, heavier application on my cheeks and side of my nose where the burn marks were and went to bed. Woke up this morning, Wed, June 5th and without even washing my face, I noticed immediately that the flakes had reduced and they were falling off! Washed my face with the Aveeno Scrub and more came off. My cheeks and nose was not hurting, it was calm, felt soft and nourished! I AM SO IMPRESSED with CERAVE. I can't believe it worked so fast and effectively. My husband looked at my face and said "It looks much better" #and this is a man of few words#!! I know my comment/story was long but had to be thorough from beginning to end for you to get a better understanding of my experience and why I rated the product the way I did. Like I mentioned, not sure what I had, dry skin, sun burn or if it was due to the skin lightener I used. In summary, I'm going to continue this process until my face returns to its normal state. I think CeraVe will be my new daytime moisturizer - it doesn't clog your pores, makes your skin feel soft and smooth, and in my opinion its great healing source for burns, dryness, flaky skin, etc. For only $12 at Wal-Mart...it beats a trip to a dermatologist and paying a co-pay of $25-50, right? So TRY IT, seriously doubt that you'll be disappointed. A. Little - 34 yr. old, Ghanaian Women Shepherdstown, WV" - walmart user

Waterfall Glacier Water Cream by Saturday Skin

"SATURDAY SKIN Waterfall Glacier Water Cream is labeled as a cream, although it has a more gel-like formulaion. I would imagine it would work well for most skin types, as it provides added hydration and added anti-aging benefits, without feeling heavy, or clogging pores. The lack of added fragrance and dyes is an added plus. I would definitely recommend. Well worth the price. The texture is silky-smooth in consistency and fast drying. Upon application, it provides a pleasant cooling effect. Once absorbed my skin feels refreshingly radiant and hydrated.I have been using every night for the past couple of weeks. I have started to notice my face appears more supple, has a smoother texture, and a less ruddy tone. The packaging is classy and simple, with a luxe touch. This little jar of goodness has a front row seat on my makeup vanity. When the light reflects off the jewel adorned lid it just sparkles :)I received this product complimentary for sampling purposes but all opinions are your own. « less" - Sephora user

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Cream by Clinique

"to start this off i have VERY sensitive skin, almost anything i put on my face makes me breakout. I stopped using moisturizer a few months ago because every time i would use it i would get a breakout immediately, i basically lived with a never ending breakouts. i stopped using moisturizer all together and would only use it when wearing makeup (which i don't wear very often). Anyways, my face became extremely dry so i went on the hunt for a moisturizer that would actually do something good for my skin and then i came across this. i got the 50ML tub and for the brand, ingredients and overall product i believe the price is fair. This moisturizer is fairly thick so a little goes a LONG way, i barely have to use any to moisturize my whole face well. This didnt give me a breakout at all, and had quenched my extremely dry skin literally overnight. It's only been 3 days and ive already noticed a huge difference in my skin. This moisturizer even out my skin tone, didnt cause a breakout, even CLEARED my previous acne/breakouts, gave my skin a nice, dewy glow and made my face super soft. I highly recommend this moisturizer to anyone with sensitive skin and issues with breakouts!! Not to mention is also sits beautifully under makeup, it makes my foundation look glorious. I will never stop buying this moisturizer!! « less" - Sephora user

Active Moist by Dermalogica
4.6(1944)$42

"I am engaged in an ongoing battle with cystic acne and a dermatologist recommended I overhaul my skincare products and switch to oil-free. I used to use the Skin Smoothing Cream and I loved the texture of it, but it was too heavy for my oily skin. I've been using Active Moist for around 12 months now and this combined with other oil-free Dermalogica products, oil-free makeup and regularly cleaning my makeup brushes has made a big difference to my skin. I still get outbreaks, but nowhere near as often. Active Moist spreads really nicely over the skin, so I don't need to use loads of it. I use a little more in the evenings before bed. It's lightweight but still has a satisfying texture - my skin doesn't feel tight after applying it, which I've found in the past with other lighter moisturisers. I can't quite get away with using it as an eye cream, which I used to do with the Skin Smoothing Cream, but that's fine. If you have oily skin and need a lightweight moisturiser that still gives you that smooth, hydrated feeling then this is the one. Less" - lookfantastic.com user

Petroleum Jelly Original by Vaseline

"I have been using Vaseline brand Original 100% Petroleum Jelly ever since I was a child, and now, in my 30s, I still think it is a miracle product with a million and one uses.As a child, any time I had dry lips, this is what my mom or dad would give me to remedy the problem. And you know what? It worked like a charm. I grew up for years and years using this as a natural chapped lip remedy, and I still use it as one. Now, as an adult, I have found so many other uses. I have used this product for my own babies' diaper rashes and as sort of a moisture barrier protectant when changing diapers. I use vaseline to treat dry, cracked winter skin. I have even put it inside my nose when my nose is so dry it is about ready to bleed from the dry winter weather and air, to keep it moist and from cracking. Sometimes at night I will lather my hands completely in Vaseline petroleum jelly, put on the little manicure mittens and then sleep all night with them on. The next morning my dry, rough skin has completely vanished, as Vaseline petroleum jelly never fails to create soft, supply, moist skin where dry skin once was.Needless to say, I love this product and have been using it for my entire life. It has endless uses, is natural, and extremely inexpensive. The smell is mild and one jar will literally last forEVER. This product is a must have in every person's medicine cabinet. « less" - viewpoints.com user

Cicaplast Baume B5 by La Roche-Posay

"Bought during the recent Escentual French Pharmacy deal, this repairing balm is a firm staple in my beauty collection. I bought the 40ml size (about the length of a 4S) making it ideal for my handbag or bedside table, plus you hardly need any each time you use it. So, why is it my holy grail? The cream texture turns into a balm on application, completely smoothing out and soothing any irritated skin. It can be used on broken skin and scars from old blemishes, minimising the appearance of them and working quickly to heal skin. I've used it on my face, around my finger nails where I often get broken skin and also on the soles of my feet as it soothes any burning sensation. Using this overnight will drastically improve blemish size, redness and dryness whilst also leaving an even, soft base to apply your makeup - it even creates a really natural, lightweight dewy effect (not shine) if your skin needs a perk up in the mornings. It's not used in place of a moisturiser but does have nourishing qualities to it, it's not overly rich so it's ideal for my combination skin but would most definitely work for dry and dehydrated skin too. There's no unappealing scent, no greasy residue texture or waiting time for it to absorb. It's fantastic and something I can see myself repurchasing for a long time (and the beauty blogger in me is always wanting to try something new!). Ceramidin Cream by Dr Jart+
4.5(1532)$48

"Not only is my skin very dry, mature, and sensitive, it's also dehydrated. To add insult to injury, I live in a very dry climate with harsh winters. So, I'm always in search of skincare products that are gentle, yet effective at helping my skin hold onto what little moisture it has, while helping maintain the skin barrier integrity. A very tall order! I rely heavily on serums to hydrate my dehydrated skin and for their anti-aging properties, and facial oils to give my dry skin the moisture boost it needs, so my moisturizer is there to seal in all the benefits of the serums/oils, and maintain and protect my skin barrier. Dr Jart's Ceramidin Cream is one of the best I've found. It's fairly light weight in consistency, yet it really seals in moisture and has helped not only protect and maintain, but at times to rebuild my skin barrier. As someone with very dry skin, I need to exfoliate regularly to get rid of flakes and dry patches. At times I admit to being too zealous and over exfoliating, damaging my skin's barrier. Ceramidin has come to the rescue numerous times. It never stings or in any way irritates my sensitive skin. It's fragrance free. And, it plays well with make up. Dr Jart claims: "This lightweight cream with the power of microcapsule ceramides hydrates the skin barrier from within, preventing chronic water loss. Dry, rough skin instantly becomes plumped with all-day, time-release moisture. It enhances the skin’s natural strength and function for smoother, softer skin." It is lightweight. I love that it contains ceramides. It does hydrate and prevent water loss. My dry, rough skin does look moist, smooth, and plump when I use it. And, I do find it strengthens my skin's barrier. So, it's one of those VERY rare products that does actually do everything it claims to do! My one and only complaint is the price. At $60 CND for a 50 ml tube, it's up there in price for a fairly basic moisturizer. But,since a little goes a long way, and since it does everything I need it to do, it's worth it to me. I haven't found anything better, so until I do, Ceramidin Cream is it for me." - sephora user

Ultra Light Moisturizing Lotion by cerave

"take this from a real teenage girl who has been dealing with rosacea and extremely dry skin, that this is the best moisturizer i’ve EVER used. every face moisturizer or body lotion that IVE EVER USED has made my skin feel tingly, and has either left my face feeling sticky or has felt way too thick and greasy. I HAVE SKIN THAT IS DRIER THAN THE SAHARA DESERT and this genuinely makes it feel SO SOFT ALL. DAY. LONG. the first time after i used it i touched my face a few hours later and i still felt it on my skin but it was so smooth and it felt like i had just put it on. when they say “all day releasing” they really mean it. I use this on both my face & body and i’ve never been so in love with a skin care product in my life. i’m obsessed. I have very sensitive skin on my face and especially the back of my hands. i had lots of irritation just now on my hand, and it is the first lotion that has EVER in my life ACTUALLY CALMED MY SKIN. I CANNOT BELIEVE IT. THE REDNESS AND IRRITATION WENT DOWN. i will never use another lotion again.I rarely write reviews but wow, this is the best product i’ve ever used. Less" - cerave.com user

Cool Biotic Prebiotic Redness Relief Cream by Dr. Brandt

"I received this product complimentary from Dr. Brandt Skincare. I noticed that the last couple years my cheeks get red specially at night and I get the feeling of being too warm and like burning-irritation, very uncomfortable, I have always wondered if it is because of the weather changes, being outdoors for many hours everyday or my skin getting so sensitive, probably a mix of everything, so I am glad that there are products that give me that needed relief, this cream does that, it provides a cooling effect and a good hydration at the same time, about the color time will tell. The main ingredients include Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil (calming and soothing effect), Biotic Balancing Complex (for a healthier appearance) and Colloidal Oatmeal (moisture and calming signs of distress). This cream is not classified as “Clean at Sephora Products” on its website, but the brand claims it is dermatologist tested, ophthalmologist tested, hypoallergenic, safe for contact lens wearers and tested on sensitive skin." - sephora user

Baby Protective Facial Cream by sebamed

"I am using sebamed products for my baby like diaper rash cream, baby wash and baby lotion. They all are awesome products so just thought of giving this one a try. But I am highly disappointed as this cream caused rashes on my babies face and probably some burning sensation as well coz baby cried on applying this. I used it just twice and then stopped using. I had an impression that sebamed products are hypoallergenic but trying this one was a disaster. " - www.firstcry.com user

Mineral 89 Face Moisturizer by vichy

"Finally, a pretty affordable water gel moisturizer that contains no alcohol, silicone, fragrance or dyes! Yay! It's 89% French mineral water (hence the name). It feels so good on the skin, and so only need one pump at a time (though I would advise using a toning spray or mineral water spray immediately before this moisturizer so that the skin is damp before applying, in order to spread the product. Doing that, one pump is enough for the face, neck and décolletage.) I also make sure to get my eye area with this when I use it, and there's no irritation. It feels so soothing and quenching. I have oily skin, and this moisturizer is super lightweight, which I love. It just soaks into skin with no residue of any kind. It performs perfectly under makeup and sunscreen. I would recommend the use of a heavier moisturizer on top of this for drier skin types. Sensitive skin should have no problem at all with this. Oh, and the bottle is gorgeous! It's thick, heavy glass, with an ombré from clear to real, and the product looks like the ocean in the bottle; so pretty! The pump keeps it sanitary. I'm on my first bottle, getting near the end, and I've been using it morning and night for 2 and a half months now. I think I can get at least another week out of that bottle, but will definitely repurchase it before it runs out. I would recommend this moisturizing gel to anyone. Great product. Glad I decided to give it a try. (This is an unpaid, non sponsored review, and I was not sent the product by the company, btw. Purchased with my own money.) « less" - ulta.com user

Aquaphor Repairing Ointment by eucerin

"I don't think I could ever say enough about this product! I have very dry and eczema prone skin, which only gets worse during the winter months. I'm particularly prone around my eyes which leaves me very limited in the products I can use - even my prescription moisturiser is very painful to use when the skin is inflamed. This stuff is a lifesaver - I can apply it around my eyes at night with no pain and wake up free from dryness and flakiness. I also use it on my lips and hands and I'm certain it would work wonders everywhere else too! I would happily pay double the price for this product considering the results, and it really is a case of a little goes a long way. I've also started using it sparingly under makeup, which stops the makeup clumping and looking vile around dry patches during the day, and keeps it in place for much longer too. I would recommend this anyone wanting to be rid of dry skin asap, but particularly those with sensitive skin - this is the most gentle yet effective product I've found so far.. and I've tried a lot! Buy it, buy it now. « less" - boots.com user

Re-Nutriv Ultimate Diamond Transformative Energy Creme by Estée Lauder

"I am 52 years old and have used EL since I was 30. People usually think I am 10+ years younger. I recently purchased the Ultimate Diamond face and eye cream and all I can say is WOW! I noticed a huge difference within a few weeks. Lines and wrinkles dimished as well as my pores were invisible! The best part for me was my skin looked radiant, well hydrated and my make up started looking flawless. While it is expensive, I usually mix a bit of my ANR and ANR matrix with it so I can get it to last longer. When tighter on a budget I will rotate days between this and my Revitalizinh Supreme (another winner)! An EL client for life! " - Macy's user

Complete Lotion Moisturizer SPF 15 Sensitive by Olay

"In high school I suffered with acne and combination (oily/dry skin) and went through SO many products that were expensive, and even from the dermatologist himself. Finally my family doctor recommended this to me as he suffered with skin problems his whole life. After I wash my face with a mild cleanser I apply this lotion to my entire face (just about the size of a dime - nickel) after rubbing it together in my hands. Not only does it brighten my skin but it made all of the tiny bumps that COVERED my forehead go away and I don't break out anywhere else minus the occasional pimple or two. It seems to have so many benefits plus the bottle lasts me at least 6 months!!! I used to use Clinique and Estee Lauder lotions and then found that this works so much better and the PRICE is awesome! I use the formula for sensitive skin. I recommend this to all of my friends as a moisturizer and even buy it for them sometimes because it has so many benefits. It's been 7 years and I'm still using it every day! I even moved from PA to LA and it works the same in different temps/humidity." - walmart user

Toleriane Fluide Daily Soothing by La Roche-Posay

"In the past few years, I have had a number of bouts with perioral dermatitis (which for me consists of red, rough, scaly, unhappy skin around the mouth, chin, and sides of nose which sometimes has tiny, rashy-looking bumps) on top of my lifelong sensitive, oily-but-dry skin. I experience hormonal acne, various skin allergies, etc. To try to calm, balance, and heal my facial skin, in addition to seeing two dermatologists, I spent hundreds of hours researching what was available/recommended, reduced my exposure to countless potential irritants (household chemicals, foods, supplements, cosmetics, perfumes, etc.), and over the course of several years I tried scores of skincare products, most of which only made my facial skin condition worse. It was so frustrating and expensive. I finally chanced upon the La Roche-Posay Toleriane line (for sensitive skin, fragrance-free), and it was fortunate that I tried this particular Toleriane moisturizer first. It is by far the best moisturizer for my face that I have ever found! Later, out of curiosity, I tried three other moisturizers in the Toleriane range (all of which are heavier than this one), but I came back to the Fluide.Along with the brand's thermal water in a spray-can and the original Toleriane milky cleanser (the one in the bottle with a snap cap), this moisturizer has helped my skin so much. It does not break me out, it is not oily or slippery, it doesn't dry to a strange texture, it is soothing, simple, and reliable. I like the protective nature of the pump bottle with a cap, which keeps the contents fresh and uncontaminated. I use a half-pump to a pump twice a day and get through a bottle in about two and a half months. I always keep two extra bottles on hand in my closet, to make sure that I don't run out, haha. « less" - lovelyskin.com user

Moisturizing Skin Cream by vanicream

"Just started using Vanicream and I love it. I have very dry skin that is also quite sensitive. I had been using Amlactin lotion because it was recommended to me for rough, dry skin. While Amlactin did help with the rough texture, it just was not moisturizing enough, especially during the dry winter months. My skin still felt dry, so I wanted something more emollient with longer lasting moisture. I got a free sample of Vanicream to review and I am really happy with it. In looking at the Vanicream ingredients, I was worried that it was going to be like Aquaphor, which I do not care for because it feels like vaseline. Vanicream is the best of both worlds! It is NOT GREASY AT ALL, but is creamy and extremely moisturizing. Long lasting moisture, too. It is thick, but not overly thick so it is easy to apply. It is a little tacky feeling at first, but sinks in to your skin pretty quickly. I love that is fragrance free. It just has a nice, neutral clean, no smell smell. I use it on my hands, arms, elbows, feet, and it is gentle enough to use on my rosacea prone face. « less" - Target user

Renergie Multi-Lift Redefining Lifting Cream SPF15 by Lancôme

"Lancôme Renergie Multi-Lift Day cream SPF15A beautiful rich cream day cream. Firstly the rich buttery texture is so luxurious.Sinks immediately into my drier skin with the climate were having at the moment.I feel so much more confident in my skincare knowing I'm using a quality product, that is not only super moisturising but gives a lift at the same time. Having the SPF15 there also means I’m confident when I’m out and about in the sun, I know I’m looking after my skin. This cream has a delicate fragrance that lasts, I’ve had so many compliments about the scent. I can see after just one week the difference, and how much my face and neck does look tighter and more lifted and definitely more radiant. No irritation at all, my skin can feel a little sensitive with the heat.I use every morning has part of my skincare routine, coupled with the Lancôme Renergie Multi-Lift Eye & Anti wrinkle eye cream my Face is good to go.I couldn’t be happier, and after one week I’m amazed at what is looking back at me in the mirror and can't wait to see the long term results. « less" - Lancôme user

Emulsion Intense Hydrator by cosmedix

"Love this brand. Being a Makeup junkie, I have tried several products. This is the second time I have purchased it. The product line is cruelty-free. I use the moisturizer for daytime use only. Can be used at night as well. It's pretty lightweight if you massage it in with a little water. Also, sufficient for under eye if you are younger and do not need help in that area yet. Great under makeup and doesn't break it down. My skin feels and looks hydrated all day. I have even added a little skin oil when I feel I needed extra hydration and it mixed well. " - cosmedix.com user

Nutritious Vitality8 Radiant Moisture Cream by Estée Lauder

"Excellent purchase, good sized product. Cleared up the sudden acne I've been getting on my neck and under my chin since I turned 42. I've tried all kinds of acne products and this vitality8 line has cleared, renowned, and smoothed my under chin and neck within 4 days! Amazing! I bought the cleanser and then cream, I'm about to purchase the emulsion and night cream, I believe these 4 products, as expensive as they are will actually help my skin. My face feels so soft, and my gradually occurring wrinkles and lines are smoothing out, and like I said I've just started using this product, I can only imagine the positive results I'm gonna get one month in. Very happy with purchase. Expensive but worth it. " - Estée Lauder user

Renergie Multi-Glow Rosy Tone Moisturizer Cream by Lancôme

"I really like this moisturiser. I have really dry skin which is always dehydrated no matter what products I use or how many and sensitive especially when trying new products. I have now been using this for a few days and I have to say I am very impressed, which really isn’t easily said especially when talking about a moisturiser as most products don’t have any effect, that was until I tried this. The cream itself is rich both in smell and texture, it is quite thick but not sticky or unworkable and you don’t have to use a lot. After using this for several days I have found my skin definetly feels smoother, more moisturised and hydrated generally more comfortable and I feel as though it is more vibrant but whether that is just me or not I don’t know but I definetly feel like it is! I must say I wasn’t sure that I was going to like it when I first smelt it as but I really do, I thought it might be overpowering but I don’t think so at all. I would definetly reccomend this without question. I must say that I am only 37 and I am aware that this product is reccomended for more mature skin but after using a sample, I really like it and that hasn’t stopped me buying it. If I had one criticism it would be the price! « less" - Lancôme user

Smart Custom-Repair Moisturizer SPF 15 by Clinique

"I received this in the purchase with purchase just 4 days ago. I have been struggling with a bad rash, to the point of having blisters (from choosing the wrong sunscreen, other brand) on my face for a few months now. I have even gone to the dermatologist and plastic surgeons office to buy expensive creams trying to clear my face. I have been using this night and day since I received it. It is better than anything I have tried. I think it is my new must have both day and night cream. (The sunscreen in the day cream did not break me out; its a little shiny and moist but after makeup and setting powder its fine) It's early to say, but I think my wrinkles look a little smother as well. I know my face is much brighter and the raw spots, pimple like blisters and redness are almost gone. I will re-review after I have used it longer on the wrinkle part. (Also, this does not "Roll off" my skin like some of the others do, feels a little sticky at first but soaks in well)." - nordstrom user

Revitalizing Supreme+ Global Anti-Aging Wake Up Balm by Estée Lauder

"The Revitalizing Supreme+ Wake Up Balm was one of three Christmas presents my husband ordered for me from Estée Lauder. This actually wasn't my first or second choice, but I'm so glad I chose this I didn't realize how dull and dehydrated my skin was. I haven't been sleeping that much or taking care of my skin the way I should have. It was starting to become noticeable to everyone but me. The first day I used this serum on my face, my husband said I was glowing. This is a wonder working product. I've been using it every morning, and sometimes I apply it just to wake my face up. The great thing about it is, I can apply it on my bare face or over my makeup. I love the radiant glow it gives me. Definitely recommend to anyone that feels dehydrated or isn't getting enough sleep." - nordstrom user

"When I was pregnant as a first-time mom, the best advice i ever received was from a co-worker who swore by Aquaphor. I have used on Aquaphor on my son with every diaper change, and he is now 2 years old and NEVER has diaper rash. This is an amazing product. I have also used it on his extremely dry skin, scrapes from falling, blemishes on his cheeks and his chapped lips. I cannot say enough about how well this product works." - toysrus.com user

Crucial Moisture by bioelements

"This moisturizer is so good! It feels lightweight when applied to the skin, but after a few minutes of letting it soak in, the skin feels very moisturized and plump. I'm 26 and have mostly normal skin, but it can become dehydrated depending on the weather and reaction to certain products. This clears up my dry skin instantly and I notice it most around my mouth and eye area. I find this product to be a lot better than more expensive moisturizers claiming to do the same thing. I do also mix this with an oil, usually rosehip. If you have extremely dry skin or more mature skin, you might need something heavier but my mom who is 56 also love this stuff!! The tiniest amount goes a long way. One jar has lasted me a little over 3 months and I use once daily at night - both on my face and neck/chest area." - dermstore user

Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lift Age-Correcting Creme by Estée Lauder

"I had a free facial with Estée Lauder and they used this on me and I saw an immediate difference. I hemmed and hawed about the price, but no serum is needed and I decided that for the cost of one less soda or coffee a day, it's worth it! I've used the product for about two weeks and the lines around my mouth and on my forehead are gone. I still have crows feet but they have grown smaller. my skin looks plumper and literally glows (that's supposed to be from the pearls). it's very expensive, but for me, I'll forego some small indulgences to have reversed so many years of aging!Absorptionthis was one thing that sold me. unlike other moisturizers, the skin drinks this up and there is no greasy feel at all.Doesn't Clog PoresI used to have an occasional breakout; those are gone, and my pores are much smallerEffectivenessSimply the only moisturizer I have ever used that lived up to its claims! « less" - viewpoints.com user

Calm Water Gel by Dermalogica

"This product really surprised me.... out of the tube, it feels really light and watery, like it wouldn't do anything for you, but once you put it on your face, it immediately sinks in... you really do get that plumping feeling that other products say they do, but don't. I have extremely dry skin from using retin-a for the last couple years, and I normally moisturize with three products; a water gel, a regular moisturizer, and an oil to seal the moisture in.... I've been through so many high end moisturizers, and at the end of my day, I always feel a little dry. This product moisturizes like a dream.... I don't have to fallow up with anything else. It's very lightweight, does not leave the skin greasy, and does not sting my face like other hylouronic acid gels usually do to me. I will say that this item is pretty pricey, however, you really don't need a lot. My previous holy grail water gel cream was the Peter Thomas Roth cream cloud, however I had to use a lot more of that each time to apply. This is not like that. A pea sized amount will moisturize your whole face. I'm very impressed with this and until now didn't know a moisturizer like this existed. I think this product would be great for all skin types. It's lightweight for oily skin, but hydrates very well for dry skin. There is also not really a scent to this, so sensitive skin would like this as well. Definitely my new holy grail. Works excellent under makeup since it is water based. Really am enjoying this a lot more than I thought I would just based on the texture of the gel. I'm 34 years old, and do have dry sensitive acne prone skin, and this has not broke me out (I usually get breakouts immediately if it's a product that doesn't work for my skin) Obviously everyone's skin is different, but I really think this is a great product, at least get a sample or try it in store. Really starting to love dermalogica products. I have their hydro blur primer, and multi active toner, both I absolutely love also." - ulta user

Hydrationist Maximum Moisture Creme by Estée Lauder

"I love Hydrationist maximum moisture creme because it is not a heavy thick creme. It is lighter & absorbs into the skin readily. The fragrance is light but very nice, almost wish I could smell it longer! I have moderate rosecea all over my face & Hydrationist does not irritate my skin or make it more red. It's the perfect moisturizer for my oily/combination skin for the warmer months of the year as it soaks into my face/neck easily & is light. I use Revitalizing Supreme Global anti-aging creme during the colder months as I need a thicker/heavier moisturizer for my skin which is more dry during fall/winter. I highly recommend Hydrationist for all skin types as there is a dry formula as well as an normal/combination formula. It makes my skin feel very soft. LOVE IT!! Thanks EL :) " - Estée Lauder user

Hydrating Face Cream Moisturizer by Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

"I got this moisturizer for winter use and it's amazing. Normally my skin is pretty oily, but winter hit and my skin was super dry. I live in San Diego so my winter was around the 60-50s, it's not as extreme as any east coast temps. I did go to the snowy mountains for a few days (still in cali) and it held up really well..but again, probably not as cold as east coast and I was only there for a few days. Prior to this moisturizer, my skin was mildly breaking out (during summer and winter) but now it looks healthy, soft, and radiant. That's probably the most important factor for me, not breaking out. My skin is sensitive so whenever I try a new product it's a gamble. I will say that I still get little pimples on my chin around my period. I don't think anything can ever help/prevent that. But at least with this moisturizer, I've noticed the pimples are smaller (some not even noticeable) and there will be like 2 when i usually get around 5-6. So far, I am completely in love with this product. I love everything about it and lathering it on just feels incredibly luxurious. The texture is just perfect to me, its pretty light for a cream. It's starting to get warm in SD so we'll see if I'll get versatility with this or will have to switch for the summer. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Studio Moisture Cream by MAC

"I used to swear by this product but then I tried strobe cream few years ago & almost forgot about it.Since, I have oily skin, I like to stay away from rich moisturizing creams as much as possible especially during the day time. This cream is an exception on my fried skin, it is luxurious leather cream full with moisture but it can handle California's hot summer weather. I have added it back to my daily skin routine even though I still use my strobe cream every now and then.if you have oily skin, don't be afraid of this cream give it a try. I would suggest this cream over strobe cream for acne prone skin, somehow it has soothing effect and doesn't irritate skin.I use it right after I get out of the shower so the moisture can easily penetrate deep into the skin. I don't wait until I start my makeup, may be that is why my makeup doesn't slide over this moisture. it doesn't emphasize my pores and for night time, I use my everyday scrub, then use this cream. My skin is looking smooth, plumptious but not oily.I can go on and on about this product. My skin routine is not complete without this product. « less" - M·A·C user

Rebuilding Moisturizer by tata harper

"I love this moisturiser. I have combination skin, which is acne prone but which is also starting to get fine lines. This moisturiser is all natural, doesn't clog my pores, but keeps the skin matte and hydrated throughout the day. It's a luxurious product and feels it. It smells natural and fresh and is really a lovely product to use. Definitely a repurchase item for me. " - Cult Beauty user

Skin Rescuer by Kiehls

"I'm a shift worker so my skin often looks dull and tired anyway, but I've also been diagnosed with rosacea and have tried EVERYTHING to get my redness, dryness and blemishes under control, from upping water intake, to coconut oil, topical antibiotics, specialist rosacea creams, standard sensitive moisturisers and even rubbing turmeric on my face (yup, I know) but everything would make my skin flare up as soon as I applied it, and I'd have to top up during the day to combat dryness. Not great on top of make up. I got a sample of this and was reluctant as the price tag is a bit hefty for me, but... WOW! Noticeable reduction in redness right away, skin is beautifully plump and no more dryness. My make up would often look cakey where my skin was drying out, but this has never been an issue since using this. I only use it at night as I found it a little too greasy to go under make up and, to be honest, it's so good I found once a day did me fine. Now I just pat a little argan oil on before applying make up then cleanse, alcohol free toner and this stuff at night. However I've also found this cream is especially good after swimming as this often makes my skin tight and itchy. Couple of pumps of this and it's sorted. I then stumbled on a tester of Kiehl's Hydro-Plumping serum in my bag. Not expecting much, I put it on at night under the Skin Rescue just because it was there and went to bed not giving it another thought. Woke up and I've never been so impressed with my skin. Really fresh looking, lines reduced around my eyes and looking very peach and youthful (it takes a lot for me to be impressed by a product)... It's really like I've got new skin. So I've bought that too and hope it lasts. Never been so happy with my skin. But now my husband keeps pinching it. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - House of Fraser user

Absolue Revitalizing & Brightening Soft Cream by Lancôme

"Forever in the search for the fountain of youth, I tried the Lancome Absolue Cream. A gentle yet effective often for optimal moisturizing and a youthful glow. The bottle comes with a amount of cream. You don't need alot but this should last a for long enough to make the investment worth it. Applying the cream is easy enough. A small dip of the finger to scoop out an ample application size and spread with my forefinger. There is a slight feeling of stickiness on my fingers after application but does not feel this way on my face. When applying, there is a slight smell of roses. I tend to prefer products with no smell at all but this slight rosey smell does not irritate me. The face remains "wet" for a few while the cream absorbs. There is a nice dewey afterglow to the skin once dry. I have found that applying this cream before foundation makes the foundation apply more easily and even. The effects of the anti aging agents have not taken effect yet as I have only been using the product for a month. So far, I have enjoyed the use and effects of this product. « less" - Lancôme user
