"Product: Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Foundation in Light (25.00 for 0.28 ounces) Shade: Sheer light golden cream >> This product speaks for itself. It's made from pure, crushed minerals straight from our planet. It feels like a cream because it's so finely milled, applied like a powder - but never looks caky, and makes the skin like you've layered silk on it. It's the makeup that feels and looks like no makeup - but your face will be perfected. It's made without Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances/Dyes, Petro-Chemicals, Phthalates. Parabens are said to lead to cancer in woman, while synthetic items are not healthy for the skin. It won't irritate the skin or cause breakouts, which is a relief to all ladies~! According to the statistics on Sephora 98% of woman said their skin looked softer, smoother, and younger. 90% saw IMPROVEMENT in their SKIN with continuous use - a foundation that makes you not need to use foundation. 93% noticed that their skin looked more radiant! >> So, what's my true opinion? I have 2 containers of this foundation, both mini sized. (10 Day Full Face Samples from Sephora.) They have lasted me for a year of light usage from day to day. (Not everyday of course, maybe 2-3 weeks of full face usage if you add it up.) What I'm trying to get at is this stuff lasts. The samples - that were free - lasted a good time for being a sample. I don't have the full size product, I want to get it, but I can bet you that it will last just as long. Obviously longer because it's bigger! Another nice thing is that it comes in so many different shades. I always feel annoyed when I look at a foundation and think, wow. There's 5 shades, and they're all for pale skinned girls. Really, leaving people out in makeup! Not cool! Being light skinned, I don't have a lot of problems, but some of my best friends have olive and darker skin. It's not fair that they can't use my favorite foundation, especially if we have the same skin type. This foundation comes in 20 shades, so any girl can find their perfect fit. >> Besides that this foundation is certified organic it feels just plain good on the skin. I like to buff this on with a Kabuki Brush (small, dense, face brush.) for perfect application. The key to awesome looking skin is to begin by getting a chunk of product on the brush. Now swirl the brush in the cap to get a thin layer of powder on each bristle. Then, tap on the side of the cap so the excess falls in, and voila! You have a brush with the perfect amount of powder evened out. It has light to medium coverage, depending how much you layer it. It works good on girls who have redness, light blemishes, light acne scars, un-even skin tone, etc. If you have bad acne, and dark acne scars this might not be the best for you. But don't feel down! Apply your favorite foundation on first, and then apply this on top. It leaves anything powdery and fake with a soft natural glow. Of course, no sparkle. >> The packaging on this is simple and sleek. The bottom is clear so you can see how much foundation you have, the and the top is matte black. To finish, this foundation has sunscreen, something every girl needs. Obviously you want to apply a sunscreen prior to foundation (apply a separate one for more protection of course!) but this adds a little more strength. Effectiveness: 10/10 Value: 10/10 Packaging: 8/10 Ease Of Use: 10/10 Overall: 10/10 Grade: A+ Love this product all around - it's a great buy! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-8674483314418737739-full" data-show="-8674483314418737739-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user
"Bare Escendtuals' new matte foundation is the product I've been looking for all my life. I have disgustingly oily skin that makes my face shine like a solar panel. After trying so many products that promised the moon I finally found one that delivers real results.Staying power: Normally about 3 hours after I apply my makeup oil starts to seep through. After 4-5 hours my entire face (not just my T-zone) looks like the Exxon-Valdez oil spill. After 8 hours my make-up is sliding off of my face. Using BM Matte foundation I don't see any shine on my face until around 6 hours after I apply. My face only gets really shiny after about 8 hours. Then I simply apply some blotting powder, and I'm set for another 3 hours or so. This makeup truly lasts all day. Out of the zillions of other "mattifying" products I've tried this is the *only* one that works.Coverage: Like most mineral makeups, BM Matte provides a light to medium coverage. It evens skin tone and minimizes pores, but for larger blemishes like pimples or scars you definitely need some concealer.Application: BM Matte is easy to apply. I recommend using their oil-control primer in order to prep your skin. Apply primer, and allow 1-2 minutes to dry. Then use a thick soft brush (I use a Kabuki brush) and follow the instructions. Be sure not to apply too much otherwise your make up will look powdery. Mineral makeup has to "settle in" so to speak, so start slow. Mineral make-up can be somewhat annoying because it gets everywhere. I'm usually very careful not to let any spill, but somehow I usually find tiny hills of powder on my counter. I do love the new locking system that prevents all of the powder from spilling out if you carry the container in your purse.Finish: BM Matte provides an excellent finish that makes my skin radiant and matte. It doesn't, however, give you that air-brushed look like liquid foundation or anything with heavier coverage. However, it does look way more natural.Color: BM creates enough shades that it's easy to match your foundation to your skin type. Their lightest color is a lot lighter than many other foundations, so fair-skinned ladies rejoice. Their colors are very easy to blend so you can get just the right shade. I use fair and fairly light, and I no longer have to worry about that hideous line that divides my face from my neck. One thing to watch out for is that the foundation does become a bit orange from oxidizing. However, this is easily fixed by blotting powder. I use a medium tone blotting powder, and it makes my foundation looks perfect again.Skin-friendly: I can't vouch for the quality of the ingredients or their ability to clear up your skin, but I can say that BM is a lot better for your skin than most foundations. It's light so it doesn't clog pores, and you don't get that heavy feeling at the end of the day like you've got mud on your face. I really love the fact that it protects your skin from the sun, because sun-block clogs my pores like nothing else (not to mention it makes my face even *oilier*). However, you do have to be careful because it does dry your skin out a little. Your face naturally produces oil in order to keep it moisturized, so the lack of oil created from the matte finish means your skin will dry (especially if you use the oil-control primer). However, the drying is not as severe as many acne-fighting products, so I simply started applying moisturizer in the morning as well as at night and I don't have a problem. « less" - Sephora user
"One makeup product I do not leave the house without applying has always been a foundation. My skin is not flawless and wearing the right foundation gives me the confidence to face the world. I have been switching between two liquid foundations (one high end and one drugstore) for the past couple of years and love the medium to full coverage that they give me. Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Mineral Foundation is the first pressed foundation that I have tried and I am pleasantly surprised with the results. It glides on smoothly and evenly, providing a buildable medium coverage without looking and feeling cakey. Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Foundation is super lightweight, creates a beautiful natural finish and it feels like I am not wearing anything. I am happy that it doesn`t break me out and it makes my skin even and healthy-looking. It takes literally a minute to apply it with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, it is not messy and I love that it has SPF15. This pressed foundation is my absolute must have and I already see myself using it a lot as my go-to product during the summer. It has a nice sturdy compact packaging with a mirror, which makes it perfect to carry in the purse and reapply as needed throughout the day. Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Foundation comes in eleven different shades and in case if you are wondering, I am using Blush Medium which is a great match and would also be good even when I get a little tanned in the summer. Overall Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Foundation would be perfect for anyone who want light to medium coverage foundation, that looks natural, doesn`t cake, is not messy and it takes less than a minute for application._________________________________I received this product complimentary for testing purposes. "I wear this wet-dry pressed powder, spf 20 foundation in Golden Glow. For reference, my Bare Escentuals color match is Golden Medium. JI Golden Glow is lighter, and less yellow than the BE Golden Medium, and more beige/light tan than gold, but it's the closest BE to IE match for me. Riviera and Suntan are wonderful colors for medium skin tones as well, but the undertones seem more "neutral", while Golden Glow is definitely for "warm" skin. The Jane Iredale compact is just gorgeous, and using it makes me feel refined and elegant, (and I need all the help I can get...!) When I was a child, my mother, aunts, and grandmothers would carry their Estee Lauder powders (for their noses) in artistic, ornate compacts. JI's heavy, gold colored, high quality compact makes me remember how much I longed to wear makeup just because it was pretty and fun to touch. This compact is nice to carry around to use powder as needed, but I like best to apply it in the morning as an all-over face foundation, because it lasts so long I rarely need touch-ups until late in the day. Like most mineral makeups this adds a small bit of healthy "glow", but in this case, it really is a healthy glow; not glitter, which makes my pores look 80x worse than they look without makeup. Also, unlike other mineral foundations (especially pressed ones), this doesn't cake up too badly around my eyes. My need for a traditional "matte" foundation has faded due to glycolic and retinol treatments, and, of course, age, but if this powder had existed when I truly needed long-lasting, shine-free foundation, I think it would have been a dream-come-true. Compared to all the other brands of mineral powders I've tried, Jane Iredale pressed foundation is the silkiest, has the best coverage, has no glitter, has sunscreen protection, and performs the best around my eyes without making me look like I'm 80. (I have to be realistic, at 44. Powders are going to accentuate lines. It's just the way it is. But I choose the trade-off of the accentuation of a few lines in order to cover my pores, and even out that annoying melasma. As far as coverage, refining skin tone colors, and looking smooth, this is superior to every other pressed mineral foundation I've tried. If you're looking for a "skin-like", or "no-makeup" look, this foundation probably won't work well. It's very comfortable, and it doesn't scream, "MAKE-UP!", but, at least on me, nobody would mistake it for bare skin. This has medium coverage when applied with a brush, but it can easily work as a full coverage foundation if applied with a sponge or powder puff, or wet. The price seems utterly ridiculous, and it's the one thing that kept me from trying Jane Iredale products, for years. Now that I've been using many of her products, I do see why they get away with the high price. They are more highly pigmented, color concentrated, and elegant than many other mineral brands, and their colors seem closer to the colors of real human skin than lots of other makeup. « less" - Beauty.com user
A clean, water-based, liquid foundation in a stick that combines hydrating skincare benefits and SPF with naturally-radiant, buildable, medium coverage.
"I've used Jane Iredale products since they first came on the market. I absoutely LOVE this line. The products I use the most are the mineral loose powder, blush, powdered eye shadow & eyeliners. I will never return to using liquid foundations. I've received sample sizes of other brands of mineral makeup & nothing compares to Jane Iredale. I'm hooked. The JI products I've tried provide great coverage without appearing like you put your makeup on with a trowel.. The products are long lasting (seldom need to refresh makeup during the day), the colors stay true after applying the product, no streaking, smearing/smudging & you will not leave traces of your makeup on clothing or anywhere else. Easy to remove at the end of the day & does not clog your pores. General overall appearance of my skin has improved since using JI. Throughout my life, my skin has been sensitive, oily & dry. I've never had a reaction to any JI product. Price is reasonable & products last for months. I use the products daily. I could be a self appointed spokesperson for the JI line. It is the best stuff I've ever used & I've been wearing makeup for-let's just say for many years. Do your self a favor & try any one of the Jane Iiredale products. You won't be disappointed. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Beauty.com user
"I would like to start by saying that since I have been using the tourmaline line makeup is truly not a necessity. I have been using the dual foundation for years, though, and I still love it so much I actually look forward to applying it every morning. Over time, I have developed a regimen that works like a miracle. I begin by washing my face with the tourmaline exfoliating cleanser and follow with the tourmaline radiance fluid, a touch of the tourmaline hydrating creme, and a lightweight sunscreen. This preparation perfectly hydrates, protects, and primes my skin. I first use a concealer brush to dab the dual foundation around my eyes and to cover any dark spots. I noticed some reviews on here that dissuade using a sponge for application, but I think the key is the type of sponge. I use an egg shaped sponge that hugs the contours of my face. I rinse it in warm water and thoroughly wring it out so it is just slightly damp. I pat the dual foundation gently onto my skin, building coverage as desired. I personally want something that evens skin tone without masking the natural glow the tourmaline products bring out in my skin. The dual foundation does just that. The result is radiant and flawless skin.I first tried this method one night before I went on a date. Over the course of dinner, my date kept mentioning how my face looked smoother than usual. It was funny to see him try to delicately tell me my skin always looked nice, but it looked especially lovely that night. I decided not to let him in on my little secret. « less" - aveda user
Luminous Foundation by Anastasia Beverly Hills is a water-resistant liquid foundation that creates a luminous, natural finish.
"This is hands down the best foundation I have ever had, so much so that I threw away my collection of foundations the moment I tried it. It's great for everyday wear because it looks so natural even from up close. It does not crease around my mouth like majority of liquid foundations used to after few hours. I have a normal/combination skin type and it seems to work nicely on both my oily nose and chin as well as on my dry cheeks. I love that it has absolutely no scent which for some reason bothered me the most about other foundations. The coverage is buildable but it probably won't cover blemishes entirely without concealer. It can take a little more time to apply than liquid foundation as you have to buff well and use small amount at a time but it is definitely worth the extra 5 minutes. Less" - lookfantastic.com user
Hydrate your skin with jane iredale's Liquid Minerals A Foundation, a light-reflecting formula for sheer to medium coverage.
"I really love this foundation. This is a very versatile product with great coverage. It gives me similar coverage to my old foundation (Revlon Colorstay foundation, a very full coverage foundation, but full of toxic ingredients). It does a fantastic job covering up redness and evening out skin tone, especially if used in conjunction with a concealer for any blemishes. The interesting thing I've noticed about this foundation is that if my skin has more moisture (or is more oily# when I use it the application has more of a 'wet' consistency. It behaves almost like a liquid foundation on my skin once it's applied. It still looks beautiful and I find once I blend it in, apply concealer under eyes & over any imperfections/blemishes, and finish with a light powder, it looks great. However, if my skin is having a 'dry' day #I'm 27, with combination skin# this foundation will apply without me needing to cover with a powder except for perhaps a light dusting over my t-zone. Either way it looks great though and gives me full coverage. I cannot recommend this foundation enough. :# I suggest buying the actual foundation first #it will come in a clear plastic container you can easily store it in# and then deciding if you like it enough to buy the heavy duty Honeybee Gardens silver compact to store it in. If you are going to continue using this foundation purchasing the compact is worth it #& then you just have to buy the replacement cartridges once your makeup runs out#, but I wouldn't recommend buying it right away when purchasing your first HB foundation, because you don't necessarily need it. I suggest buying & trying out the foundation to see how you like it first! Also, this particular color #Supernatural# is a light shade that I would say is comparable to the 'beige' range of foundation colors. If you normally wear the ivory colors #lightest color/colors# offered by most foundations I recommend the color Geisha instead. I normally wear the light beige-range type colors and Supernatural is a perfect match for me. It also has been looking great even as I've worn it all winter long, though I suspect it will blend a bit better once I have a little more color to my skin from sunshine #though not much#.Supernatural has a yellow undertone that anyone with pink undertones #like me# will appreciate, as this balances out your skin and gives your skin a nice flawless finish. Also, this foundation can be applied using a brush as well as a pouf/ cosmetic pad. It's pretty versatile and seems to look great no matter how I apply it.Also, I recommend the Honeybee Gardens stackable pot mineral eyeshadow in Spellbound. This is a beautiful color and looks even better when paired with the foundation. Temptress is a good crease-shade to pair with it as well, though if you're just going to try one I'd definitely recommend Spellbound. Spellbound really makes green eyes pop and would be beautiful with rich brown eyes as well #or hazel# and perhaps also some shades of blue... I also highly recommend the Honeybee Gardens eyeliners in Belgian Chocolate and Jet Set. I have both and I actually think they are very similar in their darkness #the Belgian Chocolate being almost as dark as the black eyeliner Jet Set# but the rich color of Belgian Chocolate is my absolute favorite. It's a very pretty eyeliner shade. They stay put pretty well and although I do get some bleeding at the outer edges of my eyes through normal wear after a few hours, I get that with ALL eyeliners, except the liquid water-proof types. Again, can't recommend these shadows/liners enough, especially Spellbound.Lastly, be careful when ordering this foundation from Swanson Vitamins and if it arrives to you cracked or damaged please know that that's not normally the case with this product when it's shipped appropriately by other sites/sellers. The only time I've ordered it from here #recently# it arrived to me cracked and falling apart. :# This is not flimsy foundation but probably needs some bubble wrap around it to protect it when being shipped with large shipments #my last shipment when I ordered it was large with some big conditioner bottles and a lot of other things#. I've ordered it multiple times from Amazon #different sellers# and Vitacost and it's always arrived to me in perfect condition, so that really disappointed me. I highly recommend this foundation, just be careful if you're making a big order from SV and know that it might be worth it to order from somewhere else #the sellers I usually buy from on Amazon normally sell it for around $9 including shipping#. For me the extra $2 is worth knowing that my foundation will get to me in perfect condition and not cracked or falling apart. I'm not returning the foundation I purchased from here because I can still use it using a brush, it's just a major annoyance and I can't use it in my compact or like I normally would use the foundation. « less" - Swanson Health Products user
"This foundation is by far the BEST available and I've tried a ton of brands. I have some melasma and a little acne scarring and this foundation covers easily. You can "build" to give a little more coverage where needed and it has a perfect satin finish, not too shiny nor too dull/dry. It does not settle in fine lines, it lasts all day without getting "cakey" or needing touch ups and does not feel heavy or "mask-like".The ONLY product that covers better is Glo pressed base, which I also love. However because the pressed base is a powder, I find this foundation a better choice if you have dry or mature skin with fine lines and wrinkles or any acne scarring or issues with texture as I have.I wish Glo offered smaller "sample" sizes for sale, as finding the exact correct shade was a bit challenging and costly. My correct shade in the pressed base was not the same as my shade in this foundation. « less" - canada.gloprofessional.com user
"**L'Oreal Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation SPF 19** is a light, airy, non clogging mineral makeup that I use very often. I use "Nude Beige" during the winter months, when I don't have a tan at all, and I use "Sun Beige" during the summer months, when I do have some color from the sun on my face.I like this mineral powder foundation VERY much! It covers flaws, uneven skin tone, and other imperfections without the feel of a heavy cream or thick compact foundation.I use it more often during the spring and summer because you can't even tell that I'm wearing any type of foundation, but it makes my face look smooth and healthy. It doesn't sink into fine lines and wrinkles as other types of foundations do, and it's a lot less expensive than "Bare Ecsentuals" yet it works just as well for me.I love the big fluffy applicator brush that twists off of the top of the container to reveal the mineral makeup. It makes applying this makeup very easy and very even. It also gives me a healthy glow that looks extremely natural, and feels natural, too.The only thing I don't really like a lot about **L'Oreal Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation SPF 19** is that it can be a little messy. The mineral powder easily falls off of it's brush and onto my counter and into my sink if I'm not careful. Still, that's not a big enough problem to downgrade my rating of the product. It's almost impossible to apply any loose mineral foundation without making a little bit of a mess. It's worth it! Just make sure to apply the makeup before dressing--I mean wear a robe or big nightshirt while applying makeup, then put on whatever you're going to wear for the occasion, so that none of the foundation gets on your clothing.L"Oreal's description of this product is: *"L'Oreal Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation SPF 19: "a pure, powdered mineral foundation that gives your complexion a flawless finish without irritating skin. "I have just purchased this for a second time after getting it first on an aeroplane back from my hols. At first when I put it on I was a bit shocked at how dark it looks but once blended in I was impressed, blends well and gives you a lovely just got back from your holidays glow! I use a bigger brush rather than the smaller brush provided. It's very shimmery so I don't wear this day to day at work etc but perfect for a night out and when getting glammed up. I wore it out last weekend and a lot of girlfriends commented on how nice my bronzer looked and asked which brand it was. Doesn't last as long as my bronzing block (Estée Lauder) but I still would keep buying again for the colour and it's quality." - Debenhams user
"I have EXTREMELY oily skin and I have tried so many powder foundations. I actually came across this powder, by a happy accident, while watching a video review for something else. I loved the coverage it gave the woman in the video, so I decided to try it out for myself. When I went to Sephora and the clerk applied it to my face, it looked amazing! The smooth, MATTE, silky finish didn't look or feel heavy; it buffs and blends out so well; it matched my skin tone perfectly; and I didn't look ashy! I'm a medium-dark (deep) skin tone, and ashy-looking skin is just the worse thing! I bought it immediately. After a couple weeks of using it, I'm still just as in love as the first day. These are the tips I have now learned: 1. Applying too much (like any product) will make you look cakey. 2. Oxidation of the product [due to my oily skin] was very minimal. Being that the foundation itself is oil-free, helps out a lot. It truly held my oily skin at bay...although, I would still say to all the oily skin people out there to not neglect your mattifying gel, if you use one. If you're having a long day, you may have to occasionally blot and reapply...but that's just expected. 3. With a light hand, the Microsmooth works wonderfully as a finishing powder over liquid foundation or BB cream. Applying it over cream foundations, however, has a so-so outcome. 4. If you want a very natural look, then wear the powder on its own. You'll look as if you're wearing nothing, while still appearing somewhat flawless. 5. The correct foundation brush for this powder is integral for proper coverage. If you have, or having some similar to, the Sephora Pro Flawless Airbrush #56 (a dense buffing brush), then you are on the right track. I would also recommend a retractable brush, since you can adjust the brush's density for either a light or heavy coverage. 6. Besides a foundation, the powder is weightless and matte enough to work as a highlight powder. These are my opinions, and I know this product may not work for everyone. I can only hope my review will be helpful to anyone out there wanting to give this powder foundation a try. Plus, you can't beat that price! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="8288226536464696398-full" data-show="8288226536464696398-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user
"This is now my favorite foundation base. It applies quickly giving medium coverage with a foundation brush. Feels breathable and light on skin. Mattifies and doesn't emphasize fine lines. I use shade warm sienna a yellow based light/med shade (more on the light side). Soothes sensitive skin and provides spf 20! Is multi purpose, I can use as concealer and eye primer. I can bring down on neck and chest without worrying about transfer. It does give a matte finish, so to get a more natural glowy skin finish I top with a light dusting of Jane Iredale loose mineral powder amazing base (which is a more luminous finish) and then mist with a setting spray. My make up looks perfect all day, I don't feel heavy or greasy and I get softer clearer skin - definitely a product worth the price! " - ulta.com user

"I have been useing color#3 for years. I love how I can control how much that I need to use, and how fast that I can apply this incredible powdered foundation instead of the liquid foundation mess. I use it as a concealer, foundation, and powder all in one with 2 different size brushes, It makes my skin look, soft, smooth, luminus, and it stays on for 24 hours with only one touch up in my t-zone area, I have combination/dry skin. It holds up great in the hot weather. Color #3 does have a slight orange look on my face, so I also brush a very small amount of color #2 over it to balance the color. I wish that they would also come out with this product in a pressed compact form to carry in my purse without the shaver. I love the shaver, but this compact would fit better in a purse. I tried lancome dual finish and the formula didn't compare and had a strong perfume smell, and my powdered blush didn't apply as smooth, it went on blotchy. I also tried clarins everlasting and the formula just isn't the same. Less" - elizabetharden.com user
"...to write a very strongly worded letter. This is hands down the most amazing foundation I have ever tried. Ever. Tried. I have very oily, acne prone skin with dryness around my bottom lip (I know, a combination to die for, right?). This foundation serum somehow manages to look amazing despite my cute little skin issues and actually helps them, instead of exacerbating them like many other products. The level of oiliness I end up with at midday is so negligible that after using this for almost a year, I still feel amazement when I pop out my mirror - blotting sheets at the ready - to see what the damage is. There is no damage, people. Even in the disgustingly sticky, humid heat of St. Louis July. My skin is so much smoother and overall healthier even after I have washed off the foundation. It's a gd dream, guys. There are two cons that are worth mentioning in the hopes that they will be remedied for the less obstinate folks out there that might consider them dealbreakers. 1. Packaging: The dropper NEEDS. TO. DIE. I am pretty sure it is subject to a phenomenon that science cannot yet explain. No matter how gentle you are with the bottle, how upright it remains, how much you avoid squeezing the top of the dropper, or how little product remains in the bottle...somehow, SOMEHOW, you will still find a beautiful mess in the vicinity of your precious No Foundation Foundation. Your fingers will always have product on them, even the ones you didn't use to apply. Somehow. Every time. Just keep the standard lid it comes with on. Toss the dropped. 2. Shade: Sigh... the shade... Yes, despite being NC20, I still manage to use this. But! That is with the help of other products. This foundation will look natural on someone who is just barely NC25 at the lightest without addition contouring/buildup. For those of us who are more pale and too lazy to bust out the self tanner every week, we have to find creative solutions. I am forced to pile on more color (lighter shades, of course) on top of the foundation serum in order to blend it. Typically, after applying the foundation, I go back with my Studio Fix foundation (powder, obvs) in NC20. Then I contour. The result is actually pretty great, don't get me wrong. But I hate having to use more products on my face just to get this amazing foundation to blend with my unfortunate hue. So...Perricone? Guys? Please. More shades. Not just for us pale-faced wretches, but for those with deeper hues, too. Pretty please? Anyway! Readers: try it. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Much better than anything else iv used on here. I also love the fact that its a lightweight, yet matte powder for oily sensitive skin. BUT considering you have to apply it with your hands it doesnt leave your fingers feeling all gross as dirty as with many other foundations. the oils really work well with the skin. i have NEVER seen a product melt into the skin this beautifully before - small but packs a punch.. this is great to throw in your purse for touch up throughout the day - as mentioned i can foresee this lasting me a long time, the product is very dense and packed in.. you really dont need a lot. cons - not the greatest for under eye, i find i do need a thicker layer to provide enough coverage for my under eye circles and it doesnt feel very comfortable.. however Milk makeup has an amazing concealer stick which i love for under the eyes so im ok with this. - if you want to do a full face of foundation you will need a brush... IMO - i recommend powdering the face after application as it can be a little bit sticky at first... it does sink in after about 30 mins Overall love this! ATM my skin is oily, but i can see this working perfectly in the winter when my skin is dry again... so i think it could work well for any skin type <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-2375316524237189266-full" data-show="-2375316524237189266-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user
"This is so far the best loose powder I ever tried. First, it doesnt clog my pores in the T-zone, and evens my skin so well, that it looks like never before. It also gives that radiant and glowy finish to your skin, that attracts a lot of compliments! Im going to stock up, and buy some more of this shade. I used to buy Jane Iradale amazing base loose powder in the shade of Amber till I tried Colorescience, and got hooked up. If you are in the shade Amber in Jane Iredale, you best pick for loose powder in Colorscience will be Medium Bisque. Both shades are for people with warm undertone. I liked Colorscience more, because it looks more natural on the skin, and still has that radiant glowy finish. I receive a lot of compliments, and the last one was from my dermatologist which means a lot! :)) Recommend to everyone. Less" - Overstock.com user
"I have always bought high end department store makeup as I have very sensitive, acne prone skin. I have to be careful about what I use in order not to breakout. My derm asked me to use mineral makeup. I use bare minerals ( I liked it )but don't like the powder, it is messy. I also used purr minerals. I thought I'd give this a try after it was recommended by a couple of girls. I really like this product. I have used it for a month, I have not broken out, gives decent coverage, I would say no less than bare minerals, evened out my skin, and controls oil to a certain degree. It is not cakey and looks natural. Gives a nice matte finish. I use a smash box primer under. The foundation is easy to apply, easy to carry in purse, make sure you swirl it on face in order to blend it. I use - # 60 at first I thought it looked too light, but once I blended it in it, it was perfect. Give it a try, you will like it." - ulta user
"This foundation is amazingggggg. I have tried every foundation out there, literally, from cheaper to high end.I have combination skin so my t zone can get slightly oily but my main concern is dryness and it didn't matter what foundation I tried, liquid, mineral, cream it would show up my dry patches. This year I discovered Ellis Faas Skin Veil. I went into Mecca and asked for their most moisturising foundation. They showed me a few including Ellis Faas. This foundation is truly beautiful, it is in its own league compared to other brands. It's moisturising, and quite thick when you pump it out, I just use my fingers to apply and it gives the most luminous natural looking glow, it looks like your own skin, even with a fuller coverage applied it still looks like your skin - amazing! I have freckles and like to show them, I like my skin to look natural like I'm not wearing anything - this foundation is perfect for that, however you can easily build on the coverage and it covers more but still in a natural flawless way. This doesn't show my dryness, it can be a little shiny through my t zone but I powder that which works fine and I've played around with my skin care and primers to find ones that work well this my foundation and help my combination skin.I'm quite fair with freckles so if I did a correct shade match I would probably be around shade S102L, however I tan all year round. Through the summer I can wear S104L, it's a medium shade with yellow golden undertones. Even though it's a lot darker than my natural skin colour it blends well with my tan and ppl never know its a lot darker than I naturally am, it's very natural and blends so well on the skin a fairer person that tans can easily get away with using it.Be aware the S104L definitely does have that strong yellow undertone. The S103L is what I will use in the winter and probably in the summer too sometimes. I naturally have pink undertones in my skin so while I can get away with the S104L it's the opposite undertone to my natural skin. The S103L is a similar shade level to 104, just slightly lighter but has the more neutral undertones, if anything it leans more to the pinky undertones but not to much. I still tan in winter, not as dark as summer but I have a tan all the time and the 103 still blends well with this and isn't to light.I would recommend this foundation to anyone, except perhaps people with really oily skin, but even then it's that beautiful it's worth trying with a good primer and skin care. Yes it's pricey but like I said I've never come across a foundation quite like this one, it really is in a league of its own. I will purchase this from Mecca forever. I love it. « less" - mecca.com.au user
"Firstly, as a very pale skinned woman I find it hard to find a powder light enough but "Porcelain" is perfect and the range has a broad colour selection so you are bound to find one that matches your own skin tone. I am 41 years old with fairly normal skin and always a blemish or two to hide. Over the years I have tried bare minerals and other loose powders but have never found one I would buy again. I have used it continuously for 4 years now. The texture is very fine and not at all chalky like many face powders. It has an incredibly subtle pearlescent effect which means your face looks fresh and dewy and not powdered, matt and mask-like like many powders, and it doesn't leave you with a face full of glitter like some light diffusing foundations. You can put on a single thin layer or build it up with extra layers with a good quality brush if you need more coverage. You can get great coverage on just the area where you need it but it doesn't look cakey. You don't need foundation as well - just use it over a moisturised face - I don't even use concealer as it disguises spots no problem (you could always use a concealer brush to put more on any major blemishes) . It stays put all day long too. This is the only foundation I have worn that has resulted in compliments on my healthy glowing young looking skin (which I assure you I do not have once I've washed it off!). If you find the right colour in this product the chances are, like me, you'll be smitten. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - SPACE.NK user
"*Uploaded a photo of myself with this on. Photographs beautifully. I wish I had a HD camera to capture the flawlessness this gives, or have you see me in real life, an inch away from my face, because with a brush it's like a magic wand. I got 2 light complexion sample cards of Pro Finish from Sephora, each has 4 different shades--120 is Natural Ivory, the lightest shade on the card, and matched me very well. I always wear the second lightest or the lightest shade in foundations and the like, for reference. There are 2 other shades I wanna try at Sephora but if they didn't exist I would buy 120 in a heartbeat. The sample cards give a very good amount to test PF for days. I had dry skin because of overdoing my acne skincare, but have been vastly improving through an anti-aging lotion with sunscreen and serum day and night. I never thought a powder foundation would be a favorite, I was trying every BB cream in sight! I love bareMinerals READY pressed powder foundation as well. Maybe it's the season, but the combination of things in my life has me loving the look of my face--UPCLOSE, ON CAMERA, and FOR EVERY DAY. I haven't taken a photo of myself AND LIKED IT since I don't know when. I use a small, angled brush supposedly for blush but for powder to my entire face instead. I think the smaller size allows for application to precise areas, mostly under the eye and on the cheeks. What happens is, every brush stroke diffuses your flaws. No more redness or uneven skin tone or pores. Yes, those pores beside your nose, vanish. The best part is the magic that is Pro Finish's invisible coverage. Even when I go over my under eye circles two or three times, not only do you not see the powder ANYWHERE, it does not gather in the lines either. I would have to test this against READY to see which I like more. I wear sunscreen everyday but it's too bad this does not contain it, whereas READY has SPF 20. I will put MUFE and Sephora's info on PF below but the last bit of review I have is that even though this is said to be full-coverage, it will sadly not cover acne scars. It's top notch at blurring and color, but you will have to use a liquid or crayon concealer and powder a bit more on top to blend it. In my photo, you can see I have 2 acne scars on my forehead. :< $36. *Very normal for Sephora pricing! *This is my makeupalley review, edited for Sephora. "I'm such a lover of cute packaging and @janeiredale has me feeling all sorts of love! . I've created my entire Look off this makeup kit I'm a fan of makeup but with 2 girls, a job & a household to run is hard to put on any makeup and I'm way too tired to remove enormous amounts of makeup before bed. . This kit makes it all a breeze, their shades matched my skin perfectly! It was super easy to apply and it gave me a light to medium coverage, my face didn't look dusty or dry regardless of this being a powder foundation. It comes with 2 shades you can mix together for your own custom color, i used the lighter one as a concealer since the other shade matched me just fine! - the blush color is just lovely, it goes well with any skin color to my opinion. - The eyeshadows, I used one as a highlighter and the other as an eyeshadow . - The lip & check stain in forever peach gave my lips the perfect rose shade without being overwhelming . . My makeup felt light and breeze and lasted all day with a fair coverage, I didn't reapply at any point and when it was time to take off, washing my face did the trick! . . I love it! It's compact, perfect to fit anywhere, even in my diaper bag or glove compartment to keep in the car! My favorite part? My pores didn't get clogged and my skin didn't brake hot the next day as with my regular makeup!! . It's been a pleasant experience & im looking forward to buying more of this amazing makeup <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-1721034073084672719-full" data-show="-1721034073084672719-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - janeiredale.com user
"For whatever reason, I have NEVER found a foundation that I actually wanted to wear consistently on a day to day basis; they all just felt too cake-y or greasy, and I always felt like I looked like I had a million pounds of makeup on (even with tinted moisturizers). I think a large part of the problem was that I was usually drawn in by multi-tasking products like BB creams or acne-specific formulas in hopes of preventing my combination skin from breaking out after daily use, so perhaps I am giving the Maifanshi Moisture Foundation a bit too much credit, but I sort of doubt it. This foundation (shade 013) is really the best foundation I have ever used. Even when I have no hugely obvious blemishes or discoloration, I just simply like the way my face looks after its application and actually look forward to putting it on each morning. The coverage feels light and natural but sufficient (and its definitely buildable), and it so far hasn't caused me to break out in the two weeks I've been using it. I could go on an on about why I like it, but, realistically, everyone's skin is different and this may not fit some peoples' needs. However, I truly feel that this foundation is everything it claims to be in its description, and I encourage anyone who doesn't usually wear foundation but would like to give it a try to do so. If I had one complaint, it would be that I seem to be going through my first tube faster than expected (the tube itself is smaller than most other foundations I've tried), and for the price I would've liked it to last a bit longer. That being said, I definitely plan on reordering when I run out. I should probably also note that I usually wear this on top of Murad's Invisiblur Perfecting Shield, and, though I have worn it without a primer a few times with satisfactory results, this foundation seems to last a little longer/look better with it. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Sephora user

"I've had lots of trouble finding a foundation that gives me a natural look, without looking too cakey or dry. Finally, with Mineralize Foundation, I can achieve the look I've been wanting. Very breathable and does not feel heavy at all. I used to hate foundation because it felt like my skin was suffocating. For me, I use #190 (Foundation brush) to apply and #182 (Kabuki/Buffer brush) to blend and buff out. Then, I use Mineralize Skinfinish Natural to set. Hopefully, this foundation will be sticking around for a long while! " - maccosmetics.com user
"SKIN TYPE: Dehydrated / Acne-Prone / Sensitive / PIHI've always hated using foundation/concealer because of the way it makes my skin look and feel- like I'm wearing a mask. I've tried them all, and the result is always the same. Alima Pure is the one brand I keep coming back to because first of all, I don't feel bad about using it - I actually think it makes my skin healthier - and second of all, it doesn't look like make up.I used the Satin Mineral Foundation for years, but have recently felt that it made my skin look too ashy- probably because my skin has been very dry recently. So I was REALLY excited when I found out about the liquid foundation. Here are my first impressions:PRO:- When it first came out of the tube, the product (I use ECHO) looked very orange, but ultimately blended seamlessly with my skin.- I tried using a beauty blender to apply it, but I felt that the product became too tacky. For me, it looks best just blending with my fingers- which is great! Less work for me.- Liquid Silk Foundation looks incredibly natural and gives you a glow-from-within look.CONS:- I was disappointed with the amount of product. I wish the tube was slightly bigger, especially given the price tag. However, this is a quality product and I think ultimately worth its cost.- I feel like this foundation doesn't wear well with the AP concealer without a finishing powder, so I'm thinking about purchasing AP's finishing powder or the Rosehip Pressed Powder. « less" - credobeauty.com user
"I love this for the just what I ant it for: to set my IT Cosmetics Illumination CC creme. Perfect for that and if you'd like a nice, easy to apply light coverage power foundation this is just perfect! I'm very happy to have found this! The golden medium I think is what the color is is Sheer Perfection!!! It's a gorgeous color for me! I'm a light to medium blonde w green eyes and I'm 52 and have some slight discoloration and a few fine lines around my eyes and mouth but this products blurs and softens them and my pores away so beautifully! And I got it half price but w be willing always to pay full retail for it. Feels heavenly! Light as air! I love it! Try it! Keep your receipt and if you don't love it, return it! I also love this lines blush!! So pretty and blends sublimely!! And their brow powder ! Great stuff. "This product is great! It replaces my under eye concealer and BB cream. It doesn't necessarily cover up major imperfections, but gives my skin a nice even glow. I use blush and powder with it and have a more natural look throughout the day. It does clog my pores or dry out my skin. It is not intended to be a moisturizer so you will need to apply face lotion prior. Overall considering it replaces two products the price tag isn't that much of an issue. It has lasted me a long time and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a fresh complexion. I am quite pale with dull skin and this is great for me." - Sephora user
"First of all the brush that comes with the product is not good for blending at all. I use my mini kabuki brush, which works great. The best color match for my skin. Has great coverage, I don't even need concealer. I use this as a foundation and use a face brush to put finishing powder over the top. I love how it doesn't dry out my skin. It leaves my skin soft and touchably smooth. It is a little weird cuz it feels wet when you first put it on, but I like that it is not messy. It sticks to the brush, but is not absorbed by the brush. I feel like I am not wasting powder. I think the brush makes all the difference so if you decide to get this product, I would highly recommend getting a mini kabuki brush. " - walmart.com user
"I went into Ulta looking for a foundation that would not cause me to break out. I've tried Lancome, BareMinerals, Benefit, Mac and many others. Lately, I have been using Mac and noticed my skin was just a wreck. So I booked a chemical peel, which was very mild and that helped a little. However, after a week of not wearing foundation because of the peel, I was embarassed enough and decided to switch my foundation. I asked for one with not too many chemicals in it, as I have sensitive, acneic skin that will react to anything it doesn't like. I was directed towards the Tarte Amazonian Clay. But since I expressed my concern with the chemicals, they recommended Juice Beauty. I have a weird skin tone..not light, not medium. It's somewhere in between and it's very hard to match. So I ended up buying the Juice Beauty Foundation in Sand (since they only have 3 shades). Once I put it on at home, I noticed it was way too dark for me, and after reading the reviews here..I realized that the Ivory will be too light. So I decided to purchase another bottle of foundation, this time in Ivory..and combine the two. BEST DECISION !! I like the coverage and the way it goes on the skin! It's a little difficult to apply since it's very watery and it doesn't have emulsifiers..so when you blend it on your skin, make sure you use a brush and apply it in very fast strokes. Other people are complaining it's a little drying..but if you use a hydrating serum and moisturizer like I do, you shouldn't have any problems. I dust on some HD powder, blush/bronzer and I'm good to go. This doesn't look like foundation. It feels like somebody just pigmented your skin. It's so hard to describe it until you try it. I know some people don't want to purchase two bottles of the same foundation since it's not exactly cheap, but if you can afford to splurge..DO IT! You can combine the two colors to match your skin and if the color was the only problem you had with this foundation..VOILA! Problem solved. My skin looks great now. It's only been a few days, but no new blemishes have formed which is a big deal for me. The coverage is light to medium, depending on how much you put on. And I do have to say, I ended up also buying the Tarte Amazonian Clay..but more for when I go out because it's a full coverage foundation. I use Juice Beauty for work/school and other during the day activities, and Tarte Amazonian Clay for when I go out and need a perfect coverage. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - ulta.com user
"Really am surprised at the number of people not happy with this. I've used several brands of mineral makeup as my sensitive skin actually doesn't break out with Bare minerals, physician's formula and good other mineral make up like it does with liquid foundations. I originally found this for sale at TJ Maxx and loved it, I look for it on Groupon so I can afford it. Best mineral make up I've found for coverage, absorption into my skin so it doesn't look powdery and covers great. I'm 50 and still love this it doesn't look dry just matte. I also LOVE their brush. I can't help but wonder if those that don't like it know how to properly apply mineral make up in the circular motion a bit at a time and buff their skin. " - groupon.com user

"I don't live near any locations, so I reached out to 100% Pure to narrow down the shade. White Peach was a perfect match on my first try :))) I have been using pressed mineral foundation for a decade but wanted to try the Healthy foundation for the ingredients. I have combination skin: oily T zone or nose, dry patches here and there with a tendency to hormonal breakouts. The Healthy foundation applies evenly and effortlessly with my finger tips, blends incredibly well, layers to cover my pink post acne marks or acne and mutes any red undertones making my skintone even and smooth while looking natural like I'm not even wearing makeup even in full sunlight!!!!! Sets matte with a great canvas for adding blush or bronzer, in fact I used less bronzer because it showed up better with this foundation than my old one. And after a full day, my face still looks fresh as when I first got ready and even those my nose got a little shiny, the makeup still looked even and didn't collect in my pores or fine lines. Also, I haven't broken out at all and I tend to breakout whenever I try new skincare, even natural chemical-free ingredient products. Odorless to me, which is great because I'm sensitive to smells. Because it's winter and my skin has tended to be drier, I have used a drop of Jojoba oil and rubbed into my face after cleansing and applied this on top and set great. I've applied without the oil too and it's fine, just if my skin has dry patches it applies a little tighter feeling but still smooth and appears the same matte finish with or without oil. I am over the moon with this product and can't wait to switch over to all 100% Pure!!!!! Happy happy happy!!!!! « less" - 100percentpure.com user
"One of my biggest complaints about foundation is that it is very difficult to find a foundation that can be weightless, thin, and buildable to full coverage. My main issues are oiliness and redness around the nose and on my cheeks, and I hate that many full coverage foundations look and feel heavy on the skin once powder, blush, contour and highlight are added. I used to rely heavily on the CoverFX Custom Cover Drops to add coverage to the It Cosmetics CC Cream because I thought the combo came pretty close to looking like real skin and covering redness, but it is a hassle to do every morning. This palette is so universal in that it can be your concealer, or light/medium/full coverage foundation, and cream contour. I use the 300 Series (light to medium yellow-beige undertones) and am anywhere from NC25-30 or darker in the summer. I use the lightest shade as my undereye concealer, then mix any of the second, third, or fourth shades to fit my skin color at the moment since it changes pretty quickly between seasons. I use the last shade for a natural contour. Because it's so versatile, I don't need to use additional face products. My favorite way to apply is using the Real Techniques sponge and bouncing it on the areas that I need more coverage (redness/hyperpigmentation). I feel that a buffing brush thins the product out too much and I end up using more, which is surprising as sponges usually thin out coverage by absorbing more product. In terms of longetivity, I do have to set with powder as I have oily skin. I prime with CeraVe moisturizer, followed by the Shiseido Face/Body SPF, which is very good at oil control. Nevertheless, I do these steps every day even when I don't wear makeup so it is not an issue for me. I can see this foundation working for many skin types and tones. My largest gripe about this product is that it seems fairly overpriced because the pans are relatively small, but given that I am able to use EVERY color, I can't complain. I highly recommend this foundation to anyone in search of a skin-like, weightless, buildable foundation." - sephora user
"I am truly impressed by the quality of this product! I was using Bare Minerals for a couple of years prior to purchasing Ulta Mineral Powder Foundation, and before that I was using Mary Kay powder and before that I used Pur Minerals and I gotta say, Ulta beats them all! First off, the price! And the buy 2 get 2 free sale makes its price even better! Second, the texture of this powder is so light, soft and silky! I live in dry climate and this powder does not make my skin feel dry. Third, it is buildable, and I like to wear just a light layer of it daily for evening out my skin tone but when I need more coverage, I don't need any other product, just an additional layer of this same powder! I am in love!Oh, and make sure to test it in store before buying it, there are like 50 shades of this product, and I was used to Fair shade in Bare Minerals but had to jump to Medium 03 when purchased Ulta powder. "I have tried around 10 different 'organic natural' foundations I have dry / rosacea / extremely sensitive and quite a furry face albeit light! This product is perfect when applied with a beauty blender sponge (I thought they were merely a gimmick but 1000% better than my very expensive make up brush!) I wanted decent coverage ie conceal the redness, plus something moisturising not drying that won't sit in my fine lines! I have the most sensitive skin even to natural products but this seems to really nourish my skin. I have never had so many compliments on my skin since wearing this and the best one is everyone says how gorgeous my skin is and thinks I don't wear much make up!! " - naturisimo.com user
"This foundation has been a favorite of several you tubers that I am subscribed to. I have been eyeing it and viewing countless reviews before making a purchase. I am glad I bought it because its my perfect shade match to date. I have dry/combo skin and recently have been using more hydrating creams and it looks so good on my skin since using more creams as opposed to oils to hydrate. Originally on my drier skin I use hydrating primers and lotions and it can look dry if I don't use enough hydrating products. I'm sure oily, combination and normal skin people would love it. I got the shade cinnamon which is perfect for my golden undertones. It does not turn orange on me by the end of the day which I love. I use Too Faced born this way in Brulee and Butter Pecan, Dose of Colors in the shade 129, Nars Cadiz, WNW in the shade Cocoa and Maybelline in the shade 335 I could get a way with the shade latte as well in this foundation also but it is a little warmer than the shade cinnamon. I could use both, but the undertone in latte is more olive though. The scent is one that I immediately loved as soon as I started to use this foundation. It doesn't bother me as much as some fragrances do. I have already purchased a back up of this foundation as it it better than my too faced born this way foundation. It isnt the most long wearing but for 5 to 6 hours it looks good on my skin, the equivalent of time as the Too Faced foundation and Im saving alot of money by buying the elf foundation. "I bought this compact foundation following a recommendation from a friend. I have used Bare Minerals powder foundation for the past 7+ years but wanted a change for 2018. I have pale, freckled, sensitive skin with yellowish undertones.I have been using the 2 in 1 compact in ivory shade for about a month now and I am truly amazed at the quality of my skin and the way the foundation looks after it is applied. I was surprised just how well the shade suits my skin because they only have 2 or 3 different shades I think. Application with the compact sponge is so easy, and even though my skin is dry because it's Winter, the foundation doesn't highlight the dry patches any more than another foundation would at this time of year. It sits really well on my face all day, feels very light and doesn't cling to my skin the way Bare Minerals did when I'd wash off my make-up at the end of the day. I definitely notice an improvement in my skin (and haven't had the slightest breakout since switching to it which is amazing considering my skin breaks out at the slightest change in product). It also takes me a lot less time to do my make up in the morning now before work which is a huge bonus!Thrilled to have discovered this compact foundation, and in fact I'm so thrilled that I bought four more to stock up so I don't run out! "I am a convert to Silk Screen, big time. Until recently, I had been a loyal user of a powder in another (high end, natural) brand for a long time until I found this Origins product. I only wish I had found it sooner! I echo all of the other reviews I read: if you have oily, acne prone skin, the coverage, finish, and staying power of this powder is phenomenal. It's fantastic for oil control: once applied, it feels clean and weightless, like I don't have any makeup on. With other powders I had to touch up constantly, but this product requires significantly less touch ups throughout the day. It looks natural and does a great job of diminishing pores. For once, I feel so confident and natural wearing make up -- like it creates a better version of my skin without looking like a mask. One comment would be to come up with color descriptions for each shade if one is shopping online, as it's very difficult to tell which shade to order. There also doesn't seem to be a very good range of shades for different skin tones. I consulted the Live Chat and was given pretty good advice on the right shade to order based on another Origins foundation I use. Thank you, Origins for this product! « less" - origins.ru user
