Peach Perfect Foundation by Too Faced

"This is my new favorite foundation. I have very oily skin with dry patches that sometimes spring up because of my eczema, but it is still very smoothing and does not exaggerate dryness and wears all day. I start to get a bit shiny around the 9/10 hour mark, but this foundation has lasted through a 12 hour day and still looked beautiful and in tact when I took it off. This reminds me so much of the Estee Lauder Double Wear, which is actually not that much of a surprise considering they own Too Faced now. To me, it has all the benefits of double wear without some of the drawbacks, like the heaviness, sometimes cakiness, and no pump double wear has. It is so light on the skin and I do find it to have good and buildable coverage. Strangely, I find the coverage to look fuller once it has set, so I only use a half pump to a full pump for my whole face now. I also love that this comes with 1.6oz of product and for $36! It is also truly transfer resistant, which double wear has never been on me. This also doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, hasn't broken me out, and though I don't like the smell of peaches, I don't mind it at all in this. I am glad I've found this because I've always loved the double wear but was looking for something similar that was lighter, had a pump, etc. and this is it. My only complaint is that the shade range leaves much to be desired. I wear Vanilla but have more golden undertones. I can pull off Vanilla okay, but wish they would come out with more shades for everyone to be able to find their shade as this formula is that good. I am have a light-medium to medium skin tone and the fact that I wear the 3rd shade in the line is a testament to how small the range is. If you are fairer-skinned or deeper-skinned you will most likely not find a shade, and Too Faced needs to fix that. However, if you can find your shade now, and are looking for a great foundation, I would say do not hesitate on this one. The matching primer is also great and pairs well. « less" - Sephora user

Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation by Shiseido

"I used MUFE's HD foundation for years! I didn't realize when I ordered a new bottle that the formula had been changed. It's still a good product, but wasn't giving me nearly the same amount of coverage as the old one had. I didn't know what to do! I bought 5 different top brand foundations after reading countless reviews on here and several articles! I saw people raving about this new foundation, so it was one of the ones I got. I fell in love! But, I waited for over 3 months before writing this review to make sure it was a lasting love! I'm currently on medication that is extremely drying to my skin, but I still had a little oil on my nose. I was having a hard time finding something that didn't show up the flakiness and oil! Then I tried this one! The first application had me sold! I didn't need the 5+ pumps from other brands to create a good coverage that looked natural! I'm actually impressed that it does blend with your actual skin tone as well! Now, on days when the winter air made my skin even more dry and nothing on earth would have covered that up, I found a small drop of my favorite facial oil made it perfectly smooth and it was still providing a flawlessly natural finish. For those who have said it was too matte, or perhaps showed dry patches... I beg you to try it again with a small drop of facial oil! You'll be in love too! It lasts all day without using a setting powder - for now I know that may be due to the medication drying my skin. But, I also had no problem with transfer...it didn't rub onto my husband's shirts when I hugged him! At 41, I actually don't have many wrinkles, but my laugh lines will show up a bit when I smile in picture. I must thank my mom for the lack of many fine lines and wrinkles though - she had me using an entire skin care regime at 13! An oil-control lotion rather than a moisturizer for my teen years, but it all taught me that taking care of your skin is very important! Oh, if we'd only known back in the 80's to use sunscreen...then I wouldn't be dealing with the small sunspots that have come up! However, this foundation has great coverage AND doesn't settle into any fine lines. I can't wear a primer that "instantly smoothes lines", as I break out with certain silicones. So, seeing this as something that didn't depend on a primer to keep it from showcasing any lines, HUGE PLUS!!! I can't believe that I'm saying this, but Shiseido, you may have outdone MUFE's original HD formula!! Looks great in photos, even with flash photography, but looks natural while covering all the flaws!!! I would HIGHLY recommend trying this out. You might be surprised and find you like it better than your "old faithful"!! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-2030157338847980809-full" data-show="-2030157338847980809-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Fresh Air Makeup Base by Estée Lauder

"I think spf in cosmetics causes me to break out and gives me milia so I try to avoid it whenever possible. I decided to try this foundation because it was one of the few I could find without spf. It still has the titanium dioxide which helps to shield the skin but does not have that heavy spf to it which I believe clogs my pores. The color of this foundation is beautiful. The linen beige is actually natural and not orange at all.Estee Lauder knows how to make natural skin tone shades. My skin feels so nice and smooth when Im wearing it also. Its very natural. Its not cakey or flaky which many cheap brands of foundation are. I think it seems to cover my pores better than some of the popular high end full coverage foundations I've tried. If I use alittle foundation primer first in the t zone area before applying this the pores disappear completely. I use a foundation brush to apply mine which really helps to blend it. Oh and it also washes off easily at the end of the day! Very important if you do not want to breakout.Overall Im very happy with my purchase and will be repurchasing most likely and discontinuing use of the other foundations I own. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="5183191712971304400-full" data-show="5183191712971304400-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Estée Lauder user

Your Skin But Better Foundation + Skincare by IT Cosmetics

"I'm so happy the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Foundation + Skincare was sent to me complimentary to try out and share my opinion. I don't think I would have thought of purchasing this as I'm not too familiar with IT Cosmetics, but Let me tell you! This foundation blew my mind. It's medium coverage, I'm usually a full coverage girl but I don't mind this. I pop on a bit of concealer where I have my blemishes and this foundation is a dream. It applies so well. The forumula is great and blends easily with a brush or beauty blender (I've tried both). It is so lightweight, you easily forget you're even wearing foundation! There's no cakey look even when I build it up a bit. As for the 'better-looking skin' claim, that's one I'd really like to believe and in time I'll be able to determine that for myself. And for sure I will because I'm going to be using this foundation to the last drop and then getting myself a bottle once it's finished. I have oily skin and this worked well. I usually have issues with separation around my nose and upper lip area even with the use of various primers and setting powder but I haven't seen any such problems with this foundation so far. The shade I was sent is Tan Neutral 42 (my complexion is medium complexion but more on the lighter side) and this was a very close match. Perhaps there might be a shade in their line that may match me exactly but this didn't do a bad job when I paired it with my concealer. Overall, really great foundation that I can't seem to find a fault with. Only thing I'm wondering now is if IT Cosmetics has a 'full coverage' foundation. I'd be very interested in that just by how impressed I am with this one! I do like the medium coverage though, it's nice and light for when you want to look put together without too overdone. I certainly recommend this foundation!" - sephora user

Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 25 by Chanel

"I have tried a hundred foundations (MUFE, Charlotte tilbury, Giorgio Armani, Dior, elcie, Kevyn auction, MAC, Lancôme, Estée Lauder, benefit, too faced, tarte, la prairie, YSL, Tom Ford, the list goes on..) and I’m forever on the hunt for my forever foundation and this is the one! First. I frequently have a problem with color matching. I’m half white and half Japanese so it can be a little hard to match my sometimes sensitive skin. I got B20 and it is a PERFECT MATCH. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so confident wearing a foundation. It’s warm in undertone without making your skin look sallow and goes on like a dream. I use the Chanel sublimage la lotion supreme on cleansed skin and then follow with the Chanel solution 10 moisturizer that I was told can double as a primer. I let that sit for a bit and then apply the foundation and set it with the Le tient ultra tenue powder in the same shade. This foundation applies like a dream. I use a beauty blender because I’m lazy but do like to apply with a flat top brush, too. It’s buildable and goes on so smoothly. It doesn’t just sit on top of your skin either. It feels natural and lasts ALL day. I do tend to lean more full coverage and this definitely does that without looking cakey. I have never been excited to apply foundation but this one has changed my mind. I wasn’t going to go back to Chanel after hating the last foundation I was told to try (also an incorrect color match by the Chanel rep) but thought I’d give it one last try and I’m so happy with my purchase! My skin is normal but can get a little dry/oily depending on the season. It doesn’t accentuate my dry patches and the oily spots if I have any don’t cause the foundation to run or oxidize. This is the best foundation and it’s so underrated! Less" - Nordstrom user

Double Wear Light Stay-In-Place Makeup by Estée Lauder

"This foundation comes in a lightweight squeezy container, which is amazing for portability plus I find it less messy and wasteful than standard foundations. The foundation itself is creamy and not runny at all, but it spreads very evenly onto the face. It applies fabulously with a brush but I prefer to use fingers, as I feel this warms up the foundation a bit to help it blend. I blend out from the middle and it gives a glowy look at first but dries down to a natural, semi-matte finish. The coverage is amazing, it covers blemishes and redness so well - I'd say it covers just as well as the normal Double Wear, but with a different (less matte) finish. Because it's less matte, I find it more flattering on the slightly uneven texture of my skin. It gives an illusion of lovely smooth skin, but doesn't look like you're wearing heavy foundation. This is the best foundation I've found for combination skin, as it doesn't dry out or cause flakiness on the drier parts of my face, but it also controls oil really well on the shinier parts. I work full time and also attend evening classes, so I can personally testify that this lasts over 16 hours (!) on me without a primer or setting powder. I'm really particular about my base makeup looking good as I think it makes a huge difference, and this foundation even seemed to make my blusher last longer. I wore this foundation to my wedding about 18 months ago, and it lasted even in heat exceeding 40 degrees! It also photographed beautifully - even in the un-retouched photos from family and friends, my face looked airbrushed! My skin really isn't that great naturally, so this is a LIFESAVER. I'm a total foundation addict and have tried most of the high end brands, but this wins every time. Thanks Estee Lauder, this is absolutely my favourite product! Please bring out more shades though, like you have done for Double Wear - as a pale warm-toned girl, shade 1.0 is a little too dark and pinky for me in the winter. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="3928115401085027846-full" data-show="3928115401085027846-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Estée Lauder user

Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Foundation by Burberry Beauty

"I'm 73 years old, and find the challenges of age-appropriate makeup and makeup techniques challenging, to say the least, so it is with great pleasure I've found the perfect concealer to enhance my under-eye area without having to deal with caking and creasing and drying in this delicate area. I have a light to medium skin tone, and Burberry Cashmere Concealer in Honey has become an integral part of my daily regimen. Application is a pleasure: the cashmere-like tip is a lovely idea, and easy to control. (Upon receiving the product I gave it a few good pumps to start the flow, and now use only one pump to disperse the small amount of product sufficient for both eyes.) FYI, my complete regimen: After moisturizing my face and neck, I begin with an under-eye conditioner (Chanel), letting it dry and soak in for a few minutes, and then use the Cashmere tip to dab a small amount of concealer around and under the whole eye area including the corners of inner and outer eye, patting it in lightly. I follow that with a thin layer of my foundation, Armani Maestro Fusion makeup #5.25, lightly brushing it over my entire face including (carefully) over the concealer and not forgetting to extend a thin film onto my throat and ears and behind and below the ear (so easy to forget this and so obviously off-shade if one forgets to enhance that area too). Then I apply my eye makeup, jazz up my thinning eyebrows and lashes, follow that with a very thin application of powder blush---Dior Mimi Bronze---and pat a very light film of Chanel Light Creator Brightening makeup base (in the pale yellow shade, Mimosa) to the outer corner of my eyes and continue down over just the top of my cheekbones. Adds a lovely subtle sheen, making the whole face look perfectly moisturized and healthy. Then outline the lips lightly and just as lightly apply lipstick (current favs are Armani Ecstacy Tangerine and Burberry Nude Apricot.) Sounds complicated, but easy and such a natural look for mature skin... Less" - Nordstrom user

Line Smoothing Liquid Makeup by Almay

"I just love this stuff. Bought on vacation as I needed something. It is very natural looking, does not feel like a foundation, more like a tinted moisturizer but dries with a silky velvet texture. I do not need powder over this to set it; it sets and dries on its own (hate powder) and lasts all day long. I usually use a TM and am finding those to be too thick these days and goopy. This provides just enough coverage to make me feel "done". For those with dry skin that want a light to medium coverage - doubt it will work with oily skin. Only bad thing I can say (and I have tried so many foundations - hated them all), is that the bottle cap is horrible. Wish it came in a tube or pump to keep it sanitary and not spill. This is the "old style" glass packaging for a foundation, and its a "new style" skin finish style foundation so Almay needs to get with the program. Also has a light smell and wish it had no smell but it is not too overpowering. If this continues to work, I will be thrilled as I am now spending $55 on the same amount of foundation (high end stuff) and this is nicer, better overall color, finish, texture, etc. « less" - drugstore.com user

Cover Perfection Concealer Foundation by The SAEM

"Initially I hesitated to buy this foundation because in Korea, many customers gave review that it is not as good as The Seam Concealer but anyhow, I gave it a try and I was totally amazed with this foundation. The Saem has never let me down. I think it works exactly like what it has claimed. It is a foundation & a concealer at the same time. I bought the rich beige tone and to my surprise, it didn't disappoint me like what others have said. It actually gives full coverage, conceals any blemishes and covers the skin excellently. The tone actually suites me so well. It doesn't get patchy but it settles between my fine lines after 5 hours. It doesn't break down easily and i think it is very god even for people who have oily skin like me. It has a matte finish but becomes glowy after a couple of hours if you have excessive sebum production.I highly recommend this foundation! Less" - yesstyle.com user

Matchmaster Foundation by MAC

"Out of all the foundations from MAC that I've used; Studio Tech, Studio Sculpt, Studio Fix Fluid (all in NW 50-55), Matchmaster foundation is the ABSOLUTE best one that I've tried. I always prefer full coverage, and this is an 8-9 on a scale of 1-10 only to SFF (which I give a 10 in coverage), but has an amazing finish when applied correctly (i.e., 187 duo fibre brush). My primary objectives when buying foundation are: 1) matching it with my skin tone, 2)finding full/buildable coverage, and 3) avoiding looking like a grease ball; let's be clear: nobody wants to look like they've smeared their face with lip gloss. So, I fell out of love with SFF after noticing how much I had to touch-up my face during the day (I'm oily to the 10th power); and it has always had this strange smell that I could never get over. Studio Sculpt looked gorgeous and gave me that dewy look, but after about 5-6 hours it looked cakey and started to slip; no matter how much primer I'd use beforehand. Studio Tech always ended up making me looking chalky, and I'd go through $30 compacts entirely too fast. So, the last time I needed foundation, I bought another SFF, but after a convincing recommendation, I got a sample of the Matchmaster in 9.0 to try. I was a little skeptical; I'm an NW50 with reddish undertones, and although MAC has an array of colors, it's easy for the wrong shade to make me look orange. Needless to say, I used it the next day during my full face routine and was AMAZED. The shade matched my skin PER-FECT-LY. Do you hear me? Flawless. So, after work that day, I ended up taking the SFF I'd purchased back and exchanging it for a Matchmaster. That was April, and I'm still going strong. After priming my face, I use just a little Fix+ all over ( the foundation is somewhat quick to dry), and I use it with my holy grail 187 brush. It's completely buildable, (a little goes a long way) and doesn't make me look chalky. And the wearability is phenomenal; still looks great after a 14-hour day. Although I still get oily on my nose, it's nothing like it would be with other foundations. I get so many compliments on my makeup, and I doubt that I'll ever be going back to another foundation. If MAC ever discontinues this one I really, honestly don't have a clue what I would switch back to because there's nothing like it. For anyone who is considering switching foundations or is curious about this, try it. I doubt you'll be disappointed. « less" - M·A·C user

Photogenic Lumessence SPF 15 Foundation by Lancôme

"Now that I'm 47 1/2....I've been seeing more signs of aging lately.... and more and more products are just settling into my pores and wrinkles and emphasizing them. Ugh. Until the past few months, people used to think I was 10 years younger than I was, but recent stress has sped up the aging process for me, so it appears. Anyway, I was about to give up on having great-looking skin ever again until I found this foundation. But WOW, this foundation has virtually turned back the clock and makes my face look 10 years younger (once again, yay!). With this foundation, my face looks MUCH more luminous and healthy, and it does NOT settle into pores or wrinkles. This foundation so far is actually improving my large forehead wrinkle quite a bit. (I've only used this for about a week and a half so far.) Also this foundation has good coverage but doesn't look phony or cakey. I absolutely LOVE this stuff!!! Pricey but absolutely worth it! Less" - Macy's user

Skin Illusion Natural Radiance Foundation by Clarins

"I purchased this foundation after hearing positive reviews about it, and I must say I'm not disappointed in the slightest. The foundation comes in a glass, pump bottle, it is a little heavy, but don't let that put you off! The pump is great as it is really precise and you can control exactly how much you want dispensed, so no fear of wasting any! The bottle looks very chic and glamorous as well with the gold lid, so no embarrassment when you pull it out of your makeup bag in public! The foundation itself has quite a thin consistency, yet it will still manage to cover imperfections and evens out skin tone to a uniform colour, giving a medium finish. It feels very lightweight on the skin and you don't get the heavy, mask feeling that a lot of foundations give. It has a fresh watermelon scent, which is quite pleasant, but only lasts while you're applying the foundation, it fades within seconds, so no lingering smells if you don't like watermelons! The finish is a cross between dewy and matte, it's a very difficult appearance to describe, but I have combination skin, and it manages to moisturise the dry areas, as well as stopping any oily areas looking shiny. It is oil free, and has pretty good lasting power- after a day's wear it still looks fresh, and when I remove my makeup in the evening after applying it in the morning, there is most definitely foundation coming off on my cotton pad, so I know it has lasted throughout the day and hasn't faded away. Clarins say it replicates real skin and this is a high claim, but I think it does a fair job. As long as you blend well, the foundation sinks into your skin without any obvious traces that you're wearing it. All in all, a really fantastic foundation, provides natural, medium coverage, and not only that, but several people have commented on how lovely my skin looks. I can 100% see myself repurchasing his when my current bottle runs out. Am I impressed? YES! A foundation which really does what it says it will! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="255065517289182435-full" data-show="255065517289182435-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Escentual user

Capture Totale Foundation by Dior

"I have combo, sensitive skin prone to redness, and sadly in the winter time my skin gets extra dry around certain areas like my mouth and forehead. I am NC20 skintone and I got the color 021 and it matched me perfectly. I used to use the Dior Nudeskin and 021 was my color in that range as well. As Ive been gearing up for spring, I ended up with a horrid allergic reaction courtesy of BareMinerals. My entire face was bumpy, irritated, itchy, and dry like Saharan sandpaper. It would drink up moisturizer within minutes(!) and I had to keep reapplying to keep my face from feeling too taut and uncomfortable. Even though La Mer moisturizer offered me the most relief, it was still temporary and I needed reapplication throughout the day. Yes, it was that bad. Anyway, I purchased this because I was looking for a foundation that I could use during situations like this when my skin needs something extra loving and supportive; something gentle that performs in a skin-like way when applied, with specific anti-aging properties. The dryness made me worried I would form wrinkles from this experience because my skin was so dry, rough and taut... so anti-aging properties were important. I had purchased the Dior cushion foundation and since I had such great response with the Capture Totale/Dreamskin serum ingredient, I did not hesitate to purchase this. I am so happy to report that this foundation was a Godsend for what I needed. It kept my skin calm(amazingly, because my skin has been screaming in exclamation points for the last week), didnt accentuate any dry spots or (potential) wrinkles, was gentle, and just made me feel like I had normal skin on my face again. Yes my skin was still dry but this foundation did not let it get any worse than it already was all day, which is a feat unto itself. On normal skin I would imagine this would lend youthful glow and balance all day, which I am a huge fan of as it is. I found this foundation buildable and look very skin-like and real. If you have mature and or sensitive skin that needs a soothing foundation, I highly highly recommend this. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Double Wear Makeup To Go by Estée Lauder

"I gave up trying to find the perfect cream compact foundation after two different brands were discontinued, and went crazy trying every cushion compact until I went into chat here and was told to try this. I was matched to Desert Beige, and also ordered Fresco, and am keeping both. This makeup is longlasting once dry, and leaves the luminous, glowing finish I want without caking, melting into creases or promoting pores. It also has no sunscreen, so there is no irritation to my sensitive, dry skin. I don't know how this will do in the summer, but right now it's perfection, and while I had to replace the sponge with a more pliable one, my only real complaint is that it's liquid rather than a solid cream, but for now I can return all the other stuff I bought and can't use." - Estée Lauder user

Teint Miracle Bare Skin Foundation by Lancôme

"I have acne scars, and huge pores on my cheeks but this really makes me look as though I've perfect, glowing skin. The coverage can be a sheer or as full as needed. And amazingly enough, the need for a concealer for my acne scars is COMPLETELY unnecessary. Seriously: my skin is far from perfection, but this helps me to fake it, and naturally so. Plus, you can still see MY skin, I don't feel as though I've a caked on veil on my face, if anything a sheer wash of radiance. Additionally I've oily skin, so the ultra moisturizing benefits of this foundation are good, but do cause me to have shine, however no more than with any other foundations I've tried in the past. I will try a primer to minimize the problem. Also, although it does the best job I've ever experienced at minimizing the look of pores, they are still not completely concealed, so definitely a primer is a must for this. A sheer powder over it would do well to benefit the overall look of the skin, although if the skin does not suffer too much from shine, I suggest to veto it, as there really is a great dewy look to be benefited from without a finishing powder. It's scentless, and perfect for sensitive skin, I don't break out from this, if anything I feel I'm doing myself and my skin a huge favor. I reckon for girls with dry skin, or normal skin the moisturizing benefits of this foundation are absolutely wonderful. It light, beautiful, natural perfection. I suppose I've just a single complaint, or more really, a regret: as others have stated, the colors do seem to be too yellow. I wear 0n, as its the closest match but I feel the colors could cater more to other undertones. I also bought 1n at the same time to see if it would be preferable for me, but its a tad too dark for now, although definitely much less yellow. I also had to purchase and wait directly from Lancome. I do wish sephora would sell the darker hues, have they forgotten our tan, olive complexions, and the deeper ones? ;) Really, all women should have the benefit of trying this at sephora, as its most convenient, and most catering to our desires for prompt satisfaction for all beauty needs. Don't even hesitate to try this. In all honesty, I HATE wearing makeup. I love it, but hate to wear it. In the past I've always strayed away from and been afraid of the masked look or super unnatural airbrushed look most liquid foundations seem to always have. So instead I leaned towards BE and also Philosophy's airbrushed mineral foundation, and fresh's face luster, hoping to achieve naturally beautiful looking skin. I was severely discontented with the results of all of those, I sought more coverage, more radiance, more freedom in my makeup. This foundation is perfect for me, because it does all of that, and makes me feel as though I haven't any secrets to hide about my skin, only secrets about how I get it to look so beautiful. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-2069030529602826637-full" data-show="-2069030529602826637-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Instant Age Rewind Radiant Firming Makeup by Maybelline

"Okay, it's not a pretty bottle but, I have been using this makeup for YEARS because I love it! I have tried a number of other foundations, including those purchased at department stores, and none compares with this one, Instant Age Rewind. It glides onto my skin beautifully. It leaves my skin looking smooth and much more flawless than it really is. My skin is dry in spots, oily in others, but when I wear this foundation, that all disappears! I also love that it contains sunscreen. I live in Florida, regular sunscreens can melt on my face and look greasy, others dry up and look caked where they settle. This foundation does neither! And you'd think it'd melt out in the hot humid climate, but it does not. This is the BEST foundation ever! Recently, I've been having a hard time finding it in stores :-( If it gets discontinued, that'd be a HUGE MISTAKE. I've always worried that could happen just because the bottle it comes in is not 'pretty'. A lot of women like to purchase products that 'look' fancy. I do too, but it's the product inside the packaging that's really important. There are a lot more positive reviews of this product on other websites, so I have to wonder if Maybelline is really paying attention. MAYBELLINE, pay attention! DO NOT DISCONTINUE this makeup. If sales are a bit more sluggish, keep the product and dress up the packaging!!! I would happily pay a lot more for this product! Less" - maybelline.com user

Skin Caring Foundation SPF 15 by exuviance

"This is the perfect, all-purpose, everyday foundation. It covers well, does not get cakey, has a lovely, long-lasting, matte finish, has natural-looking colors that enhance, rather than dull undertones, fills pores, and smooths fine lines. I never thought I'd find a matte foundation, (which I need for forehead, cheeks, and chin) that I could use around my eyes, but this is wonderful. I need under-eye concealer only on days where I'm extremely tired, or my allergies are acting up. From what I've seen, foundations of this quality can cost up to twice as much as Exuviance, but they don't do anything Exuviance can't do! My face is very sensitive to chemical sunscreens, especially around my eyes, and another exceptional feature of this foundation is that is has natural, Titanium Dioxide 7.0-10.8% sunscreen. Titanium, without Zinc, is perfect for foundation on my skin, because it provides gentle, effective protection without any white or ashy cast. I have this in Honey Sand, but I must use a bronzer patted into it, because it's a tad too light, and it's too pinky-peach. I've also mixed it with CoverGirl Clean Makeup in Soft Honey (because Soft Honey is such a good match for me, and I keep it around for such emergencies), and got a better true skin match. Mixing with a non-spf product lowers the sunscreen concentration , so I definitely don't want to do this every day. After my purchase, I checked-out the color descriptions on NeoStrata's website, and I realized I bought the wrong color for my skin. With other brands, I'd surely have had to go through the hassle of returns, but I can use Exuviance easily as a brightening spf primer beneath powder foundation (my standard), bronzers, etc.! In the future I will purchase Desert Sand. My advice to those reading my review is that It's best to go on NeoStrata's website to get accurate color descriptions of the shades to see which one have pink, neutral, or golden undertones. Overall, brilliant Foundation. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="5477312011529173787-full" data-show="5477312011529173787-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Beauty.com user

Teint Couture Long-Wearing Fluid Foundation SPF 20 - PA+++ by Givenchy

"I got a sample of this product in the store couple days ago after reading amazing reviews about it. I have sampled nearly 15 foundations in the past 2 months or so and was about to settle for one that I was just okay with- Thought I'd give this one a try and got a sample, not expecting much (for reference, other foundations that have gotten amazing reviews have disappointed me in the past like MUFE) Today I wore the foundation out and went to the sephora store and asked the SA for recommendations on foundation The SA looked at me and said "I dont think you need much coverage since you have AMAZING skin" I told her that I was wearing foundation and she did a triple take like "WHAT? it looks like you have great skin and nothing on!" she asked me which foundation I was wearing and said that I should continue to wear what I was wearing! I was not wearing any primer or powder, just this foundation and it really had this very pretty, natural, smooth finish And it lasted a long time- It was still on in mint condition after I've been to the gym! I think my search for the perfect foundation is over now- I'm definitely sold on this one. Seriously, I haven't seen foundation look like this on my skin ever- Definitely HG worthy, AMAZING, long wearing foundation, with buildable coverage You can pile on layers and it will not look thick or cakey - AMAZING! FYI for reference: I have dry, pretty fair skin with some redness around the cheeks I'm usually the lightest or the second lightest shade for most foundations / tinted moisturizers / BB / CC and like to wear yellower foundation to cover the redness and about a half shade brighter. In other brands I am Stila fair, MUFE 117, Lancome Buff 2, NARS Gobi For Givenchy, the #4 beige was definitely too too dark on me #2 has a pink undertone and may accentuate my redness so I think I will be going with #1 (brighter shade) or #3 (probably exactly my skin tone if not slightly darker) <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Infallible Advanced Never Fail Foundation by L'Oreal

"This product works, and works VERY well, IF you apply it correctly. What I mean by that is: Folks, this is a LONG WEARING foundation that wont rub off. it is not like a regular foundation that will transfer and smear off 30 minutes after you put it on: what that means is, you have to apply it correctly the first time. For those who are saying its heavy and mask-like, it makes me ask the question if those ladies have ever used long wearing foundation before? with regular foundation, you can put a lot on, then smear it around, work it into your skin, then stand back and look at it; if it is un-even, you can take a sponge and blend it, and if its too thick in some spots, you can wipe some off, etc.. You CANNOT DO THAT WITH LONG WEARING FOUNDATION! :) With Long wearing foundation ( whether its this brand or Revlon Colorstay or any other ) you have to approach it differently.. you put a TINY bit into your hand, get some on your fingertips, and apply to a SMALL area at a time, and you have to work fast! blend a small amount lightly and quickly into your skin, and then move on to the next area, and so on, until your face is covered. this product is thin and it dries quickly, and once its dry, thats it.. you cant take a sponge and smear it around or blend it in.. you have to do that the first time, while you are initially putting it on, because once it dries, thats it; if you try to layer more on top of it, it WILL look thick and cakey and feel awful on your skin, and it WILL show your pores and your fine lines, etc.. THIS STUFF IS NOT MEANT TO BE APPLIED IN A THICK LAYER! when applying, you must work quick, use a small amount of product, and blend it quickly and thinly with a light touch. if you try and apply this the same way you apply regular ( non long wearing) foundation, it wont work, it will look cakey and thick and un-even and you will hate it; however, if you you apply it quickly, in a very THIN layer and blend it very fast as you are applying it, you will end up with coverage that is even, VERY light feeling on your face, VERY natural looking, and it will STAY that way 16+ hours. No, I dont work for the company.. its just that I have been using Colorstay by Revlon since it 1st came out ( was that 1996? ) and I know how to apply long wearing foundation. it took me lots of practice the first time i used a long wearing foundation, and I made the same mistakes, and it felt heavy, showed all of my imperfections, and looked and felt like a mask.. UNTIL I learned how to apply it. I have a very un-even skin tone ( redness, blotchiness ) and have large pores, oily skin, and some mild blemishes, and yet when I am done applying this product, my skin tone is even, all of my imperfections are covered, and it feels so light on my skin, I cant even tell I have it on. it lasts all day and looks smooth and natural. If you choose the correct color and learn how to apply it, you will not find a better foundation. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-5127070001008648168-full" data-show="-5127070001008648168-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - drugstore.com user

Fluid Sheer Foundation by Giorgio Armani Beauty

"I am embarrassed to admit this but I have enough makeup to supply a small country so I can’t believe it took me so long to try Fluid Sheers. BOY am I glad I did. This is an incredible product with a wide range of colors. I find that it infuses my 60 year old skin with a very natural looking glow while not being over the top with sparkles. I don't feel my pores are accentuated, which is important since I have oily skin and therefore, oversized pores. Fluid Sheers can be used for contouring, bronzing or as a blush. (I have not tried mixing with foundation so I cannot comment on that.) For informational purposes, I am a MAC NW30, Armani 5.5, Chanel Biege 40. #11 is amber gold with a slight rosy hue. Just gorgeous! I would say it is almost foolproof to apply and it gives the skin a luminous, bronzed, sun-kissed glow that lasts all day. It imparts a healthy hint of color rather than an actual pink. While #11 is beautiful on it’s own, if I want a pop of color, I add #6 onto the apple of my cheeks and blend it out. #6 is a vibrant coral-red with a golden micro-shimmer. Once it has been sheered out, it turns into a lovely shade of peachy coral. Because this shade is so pigmented and the color so vibrant, I use it as a blush, which I would think would apply to most complexions. It is easy to over apply so I would suggest starting out with the smallest amount and working up to the desired effect. Again, the shimmer is very fine and does not accentuate my pores. This shade also lasted all day (12 hours) on me. I have three of the Fluid Sheers and plan to add to my collection. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Nordstrom user

Protect & Perfect Advanced All In One Foundation by no7

"I was pleasantly surprised at how well No7 Protect and Perfect Advanced All in One Foundation covered my blemishes. I have oily acne prone skin and very visible acne scars and use a full coverage foundation. First off I live the slender tip of the tube it helps to control how much product is released allowing the user to build coverage as needed. And the shade Chestnut blended in perfectly and seamlessly, with my deep skin tone. This foundation is a multitasker it has age-defying skincare ingredients from No7 serums, SPF50 and over tome helps your skin look younger and healthier which works perfect in my busy Mom life. I found application quick and easy, it didn't feel like I was wearing a mask and it photographed beautifully. I loved wearing it and it lasted the whole day without it turning into a gloopy mess. I received this product as a free sample my opinons are my own. Less" - us.no7beauty.com user

Traceless Perfecting Foundation SPF 15 by Tom Ford

"I was skeptical of this foundation because I don't usually prefer a matte base, but being a huge fan of Tom Ford's other two foundations I felt I needed to give it chance...I am so glad I did! This foundation applies very easily and blends effortlessly, it does not settle into my (many) fine lines or wrinkles, and it is extremely lightweight. I seriously cannot feel it on my skin whatsoever. The lasting power is phenomenal and it withstands humidity and sweat exceptionally well. I also noticed my skin feeling better overall after wearing it for a full day and then removing. It doesn't not dry my skin out as the day progresses like most other long wearing foundations, in fact, the finish becomes softer as the hours pass and it feels exceptional rather than harsh. It does have it's downsides: It is marketed as medium to full coverage but I found I could only get medium coverage at best which is ok for me but I know some people were hoping for fuller coverage. It is scented with a cucumbery scent that isn't the most pleasant but it does dissipate after a few minutes. I also found the matte finish to be a bit unforgiving on my dry skin (the finish was a bit dull) but that was quickly remedied by mixing in a pump of Tom Ford Illuminating Foundation Primer. Lastly, while I known this base is infused with some wonderfully nourishing ingredients, it's not the most moisturizing formula so if you have dry skin you'll need to moisturize amply before application. With my skin being dry/aging, I found that applying over a thin layer of face oil (I use Fresh Seaberry Oil) and mixing with the primer I mentioned above8 make this foundation work better for me. For women/men with normal to combo to oily skin, those prep steps probably won't be necessary. Personally I find the bit of extra work very much worth it and am thrilled to have another lovely base from the Tom Ford line!PLEASE NOTE: The shades in this formula are NOT consistent with the shades in the original Traceless and Traceless Stick formulas so you may very well be a different shade than in the previous installments. If possible, get to a counter to be matched or call your Tom Ford Sales Associate for a shade recommendation. « less" - saksfifthavenue.com user

Reboot Active Care Revitalizing Foundation by Make Up For Ever

"As someone with dry skin, I was looking forward to trying this new hydrating foundation from Makeup Forever. After wearing it for the past 3 days, I can confidently say that this product competes with some of my favorite foundations. If you are looking for something with light coverage, and a satin/dewey foundation, this is for you. From my experience, the foundation is buildable. When it is applied with a makeup sponge, it offers a light wash of coverage. When applied with a brush, more coverage is given. My favorite method of application so far has been to begin with a brush, and then lightly pat down with a damp sponge after. I find that this maximizes the coverage I can get from just one pump of product, while still appearing very natural. My skin doesn’t seem significantly more hydrated, but I’m sure that with continued use I will notice a change. Lastly, in terms of coverage, I would not recommend this foundation to anyone with oily skin. Unless preventative measures are taken to reduce oil prior to application, I don’t think this foundation would last over 6 hours on someone with oily skin. As someone with dry skin however, I have worn this foundation for around 10 hours and had no problems at the end of the day. I found that a light application of powder fixed any unwanted shine as the day went on." - sephora user

Outlast Active 24 HR Foundation SPF 20 by Covergirl

"It’s been a long time since I’ve even used a covergirl product, however, this one definitely delivers. It gives just the right amount of coverage I want and allows me to build on it if I so desire. It lasts me all day without moving. It does tend to be a bit sticky at first, so I like to use a sponge to apply. My skin is fairly dry, so I don’t use a lot of powder. I just set around my nose and a bit under my eyes. Finish it off with a nice balanced setting spray and you won’t be disappointed." - mira user

Sheer And Perfect Foundation by Shiseido

"Shiseido has yet again created a product worthy of HG status! Easily one of the most underrated (yet ironically the oldest) brand on the market. Dick Page has been revamping all aspects of the makeup side of Shiseido's product line and the results have by and large been amazing, this new Sheer and Perfect foundation is no exception. Coverage is sheer but build able (without looking cakey), the color barely oxidizes, it's long lasting, and blends like a dream! I also have to say Shiseido's claim that this product contains various color correcting powders is accurate, there's a noticeable softening of spots and discoloration and a minimizing of the pores. I couldn't be happier using this as my day to day foundation and reserving Perfect Refining for those days I want a slightly more polished look. You won't regret purchasing this! Note: Be sure to shake bottle well before use. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="6391757013042247585-full" data-show="6391757013042247585-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Parure Gold Radiance Foundation SPF 30 PA+++ by Guerlain

"I have tried a wide variety of high end foundations in my day. This foundation changed my makeup game. I will start off with the only two downfalls of this foundation, the colour range and the cost. I am pale, but not extremely, and so lucky that the lightest shade of this foundation matches my skin perfectly. This foundation is NOT full coverage, but has light-medium coverage that can be built up. I would not recommend buying this if you are looking for a more full coverage foundation as you will just end up using the foundation too quickly to justify the price. I am lucky to have clear skin and just need to cover up a little redness/even out my skin tone. I use about 1/2-1 pump daily and I expect it to last me around 10 months- a year. I unfortunately cant see the remaining amount, but its been going strong for over 8 months now, so its high price tag doesn't bother me. I love this product so much that I already have a back up, my first time repeat buying a foundation and I wont be trying any other formulas as long as this is around. Now for the many many pros. I can use this foundation in the same shade all year round, since it is not too heavy I feel like it easily blends in with my skin tone- even when I am darker with a tan it still matches perfectly. I get a medium coverage from this foundation by buffing it in with a foundation brush in the winter to cover any redness, then during summer with a tan & more even skin tone It can be applied with a beauty blender for lighter coverage & a more sheer look. This foundation does not oxidize, crease, dry out, become greasy looking or separate on my face all day. I am lucky to have a normal skin type, more on the slightly oily side if anything and I do not need to blot or re-apply all day if my makeup is properly set (not sure if this would be the same in the case of a more oily skin complexion). In the winter this foundation does not stick to the odd dry patch I have, and I have heard that this foundation also works amazingly for people with extreamly dry skin. The people saying that this foundation is not long lasting probably just aren't prepping/setting their faces right, because this foundation lasts on my face all day without having to touch up and doesn't transfer onto any items that touch my face, I work two jobs, as a hygienist with a mask on, and as a server where I run around becoming sweaty for up to 12 hours at a time, and I think my face still looks pretty darn good at the end of a long day. Did I mention this foundation also has SPF 30 in it? I am only 25 years old and have always had fairly clear/tight skin so have not noticed a difference there, but have read many reviews that say this foundation also has firming/lifting & skincare properties, which also attributes to its price. I apologize for the novel review, but when online shopping for makeup I rely heavily on reading reviews. I first bought this on a whim and I am so happy I tried it! I hope this helps explain the high price tag and many benefits of this wonderful foundation :) « less" - Sephora user

Accord Parfait Liquid Foundation by L'Oreal

"i love this foundation its the second time i bough it, i have pale skin and actually though shade 3.w golden beige would be to dark for me after i seen how dark it looks after opened it but it blends in so well it makes me look like i have a golden natural tan (with no tan lines on my neck like the liquid foundations do always). i also have very dry skin so being a powder i though i might be to dry for my skin but its not it makes my skin look so natural and moisturised i really am amazed how it does that from a powder form. it is a bit messy to use i do have to wear a towel like a bib to put it on or not wear my best clothes till i've put the make up on first but once its on it is the best foundation i have ever had and i have tried many brands and forms of foundation.it stay on for a long time all day and into the night , i love this one . « less" - ebay.com user

Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation by Buxom

"I have the shade Fair Game and it's the best color match I have ever had in any foundation. It's a fresh, slightly dewy, skinlike finish with SPF 30. It also feels very hydrating and doesn't cling to dry spots. That checks all the boxes for me. It's not full coverage but it's perfect for an every day natural look. I use it with and without primer and it looks good both ways. Primer does increase it's longevity. I have other foundations if I want a very done look but I actually often use this even when doing an evening look. It's that pretty. I'm not a selfie girl so not sure about flashback but the few pictures I've seen of myself wearing this have looked fine. I highly recommend it and the price is very reasonable. For reference I have dry, mature skin, fair with a slightly cool neutral undertone. I have tried a ton of foundations and this is one of the few I have actually repurchased. I prefer a more natural look. For reference I also use Makeup Forever Water Blend, Mac Face and Body, Bareminerals Complexion Rescue, Hourglass Illusion Skin Tint, and Armani Luminescence CC Cream. If you are enjoying some of those you will probably like this too. I apply with fingers or a foundation brush. I don't feel the beauty blender is best for this one. Give it a try. « less" - ulta.com user

Ever Matte Skin Balancing Oil Free Foundation SPF 15 by Clarins

"I've been using Clarins Everlasting for a couple of years now and am incredibly happy with it. I find the long wear formula holds up really well (even on my oily/combination skin!), the range of shades on offer are great, and I love the coverage it offers too.As I mentioned above, I have oily/combination and acne prone skin, so I tend to stick to long wearing formulas which offer medium to full coverage when it comes to base make up. I've found that a lot of these types of foundations tend to look a bit heavy and mask like, but Everlasting provides really decent coverage without looking 'flat' or cake-y. It covers redness and blemishes well, and doesn't emphasize any dry areas or pores. The formula also feels comfortable and the creamy texture applys and blends brilliantly.Clarins promise up to 15 hours of wear, and while I don't quite get that, I do find that Everlasting lasts well throughout the day when set with a loose powder. I've also found that the formula wears evenly and I've not had problems with oxidation.Overall, an excellent, full coverage foundation, which feels comfortable and looks natural! « less" - Escentual user

Sheer Expert Perfecting Fluid Foundation by By Terry

"I don’t like to wear foundations which make me feel like a plasterer has rendered my face. Apart from By Terry Cover Expert, all my foundations are light-medium coverage. And this, apart from the BT Éclat Opulent, is a perfect, natural-looking foundation on my complexion. I have it in Honey Beige which, if I applied with a brush, would possibly look too dark on me. But I use a Beauty Blender with all my BT foundations and this tends to lighten it.I can wear this foundation all day and, unless it’s searingly hot and my face is sweating buckets, it doesn’t fade, go patchy, wear off or oxidise. It has a lovely consistency - not too thick, and certainly not thin. Think of double cream and you’ve got it.Honey Beige is a good choice for my colouring - dark hair and eyes - and blends almost seamlessly into my complexion. Until I next go abroad, I do have to bring it down my neck unless I’m wearing a polo neck. For some odd reason I have quite dark skin on my upper body which will keep a tan for a long time, but my neck is so white as to be reflective! This is another good reason for using the Beauty Blender - it is very good at graduating colour changes and making them seamless. At my age, I want a radiance foundation, which is what I get with this. It doesn’t sink into my fine lines and form that horrible sludgy trench one can often see with other foundations. My one and only gripe is the immediately recognisable smell of By Terry “wet” products. I dislike it intensely and so wish they’d change it or remove it. Thankfully, it doesn’t linger, especially when the bronzer, contour, blush etc are applied.A truly stunning offering to this “mature” 40-something! Less" - spacenk.com user

Ready Set Gorgeous Liquid Foundation by Covergirl

"I wanted to try something new because my beloved Tarte bb cream was not cooperating with the dry spots on my face that only come out in the winter. Let me preface this review by saying I am a brand buyer through and through when it comes to foundation - I've tried UD Naked, MUFE, Smashbox, etc etc etc but nothing has ever been exactly "HG" quality for me. Hence why I am always trying something new.I'm so glad I picked up this foundation after reading the reviews. I'd say it has light to medium coverage, which I love, but this morning I woke up with some super red blemishes (due to messing with them the night before) that I was positive I wouldn't be able to cover. Luckily, this foundation is so supremely buildable that I was able to bring it to full(!!) coverage on my problem areas. And yet, hours later, it does not look cakey at all.I apply this foundation with a damp beauty blender which makes everything look flawless. No dry patches, no oil slicks. I will buy this foundation again and again and want to share my positive experience with other prospective buyers!!! SO worth a try for the price point. « less" - ulta.com user

The Sensual Skin Fluid Foundation by Kevyn Aucoin

"With the release of all the new lightweight/long wearing bases this Fall, I had tried almost every one and failed because of my skin type. That being said, since I received Kevyn Aucoin's Sensual Skin Fluid, I have eagerly used it every single day. My skin is aging and on the dry side with quite a few fine lines around my eye area and unevenness from sun damage. The first thing I want to stress is: if you have dry skin, you will have to have a good solid moisturizing routine for this foundation to perform optimally. It is not drying at all, but it's also not hydrating/moisturizing either. The consistency is very runny but the coverage is super versatile! I can sheer it down to light coverage but easily build it up to almost full coverage where needed and it blends seamlessly. It glides over the skin like silk and applies effortlessly with a brush or fingers (my brush of choice for this base is Chikuhodo G-10).The finish is matte, but not a flat unflattering matte...it's more like my skin without "the glare". When it first dries down, it looks very matte, but within a few minutes the finish softens to a very soft matte or demi-matte. I get a good 6-8 hours of wear and it does not accentuate my fine lines. It does not sink into my pores, but rather it smooths over them making them look far less noticeable but not so I look masky or "made up".My biggest accolade for this foundation is that after 2 weeks of consistent wear, my skin is markedly softer to the touch and I am not starting to notice a slight visual difference as well. I've never had a foundation that boasts skincare claims actually make a difference in my skin like this one has...it's really blown my mind and exceeded my expectations!! I think this will work beautifully on normal and normal to oily skin types also.I am a mostly neutral NC23 with a ton of warm freckles yet a lot of surface redness. I wear shade SF07. It's a light to medium shade that leans quite peach. When I first saw it I said NO WAY, but the SA insisted I try it and she was right on the money. Within minutes it adapted to my skin tone perfectly and is one of the best matches I own. The foundation is housed in a frosted glass bottle with a dropper housed in the screw-on lid. The dropper is surprisingly not messy at all and allows you to dispense the amount desired without waste.Bottom line: it's a gorgeous, versatile, matte foundation that delivers on it's promises of skincare benefits and I couldn't be more pleased! My only complaint is that it comes in a 20ml bottle instead of the traditional 30ml.P.S. It mixes beautifully with Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Skin Liquid in Candlelight...it softens the finish and gives a lit from within glow that is absolutely stunning! « less" - SPACE.NK user

Even Skin Water Foundation by Trish McEvoy

"I had to abstain from all makeup for one full week, then add only one thing per week to find out what was causing an allergic reaction on my skin. Foundation has been the last thing; I found I could use loose mineral powder with no problem, but at age 65, I find a liquid to be more comfortable on my skin. Fingers crossed, this is it! So far, no bad reaction, and I love the look and feel of it!Very light weight ( I had to dab on a bit extra to cover a few spots), and my skin feels like velvet. I agree with others that it is not a "dry matte" finish, but rather a lovely soft glow. I chose it at first because of the short, simple ingredient list compared to other foundations. I noticed that the only review that wasn't 5 stars was in regards to the item being out of stock, not the foundation itself. I bought "Fair", and find that it looks very natural on my skin. Love it and have high hopes! Less" - Nordstrom user

Instant Radiant Light Perfecting Duo by BECCA

"I have incredibly dry skin, especially since it is currently winter and I have used nothing but this primer since it came out. This makes my skin have a healthy lit from within glow that doesn't look fake, or shimmery. It just makes it look healthy and hydrated. I also find that that healthy appearance it gives skin glows through when you put foundation over it. It also seems to make your foundation spread more and go on smoother, so although the primer is a bit pricey you save more foundation so it seems to even that out. I find that this makes your foundation look more skin like and really enhances the wear time. I am not sure if something this hydrating would be good for oily or combo skin but for dry skin it is a god send! Highly recommend!" - Sephora user

Soft Matte Complete Foundation by NARS

"Just when I thought I was getting out, NARS pulled me back in! Because of mask requirements, I had all but given up on my complexion products but when NARS launched this new foundation, I was tempted. I love the Sheer Glow foundation but wanted to try this. It didn't disappoint! This foundation has definitely lived up to the hype. It definitely gives my oily skin a matte, yet skin-like finish that doesn't look like I'm wearing makeup. I find that when I apply the foundation with my fingers and warm it up in my hand, it works for me. I also find that after using a primer, a little goes a long way. There is minimal transfer to my mask but my foundation stays intact and it looks as if I have great skin. I feel confident dining outdoors and not reaching for oil blotting papers before the appetizers and drinks even arrive. Best of all, there are no drying or irritating ingredients such as alcohol so it is perfect for my oily and sensitive skin.If you are not sure about your exact match, I would recommend visiting the NARS site and getting color matched with the virtual try-on matchmaker. NARS, you definitely have a winner! Less" - Sephora user

Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick Radiant Foundation by Estée Lauder

"This is one of the best foundations I have ever used. I'm 62. I've bought a ton of foundation. I was very excited to get in on Double Wear when I first saw this, as I cannot use the regular formula. As a very mature person, I prefer something with a radiant finish. Of course I deal with lines and a few wrinkles, but I don't like a full coverage foundation. Sheer to medium is perfect. So, I tried the Double Wear Nude in a sample, and I was so impressed. At my age I do deal with dry skin, but not problematic dryness. I used my regular daytime moisturizer first (I don't use primer),and the foundation applied beautifully. You don't need a lot for a great, sheer, radiant finish but the coverage is buildable to medium. Also, it does not pool into lines, even deep ones! This is one of the best features of this foundation, in my opinion. Pooling gets to be an issue for mature users. The long wear was amazing! I got about 12 hours out of it. When I took it off in the evening, my makeup removal wipe showed that the product was still there. For some, the sponge applicator could be a problem. Personally, I don't care. I can live with it because this foundation is that impressive. Highly recommended, especially for normal to dry skins, looking for sheer to medium buildable coverage, and radiant finish. My very mature skin loves it! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="6881558321373141790-full" data-show="6881558321373141790-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user

UV Protective Liquid Foundation by Shiseido

"Saying I was skeptical, after reading this product's description is an understatement. I thought "no way, this sounds WAY too good to be true!" Understandably so, with all the overpriced junk flooding the market these days, but I decided to give it a shot. Can I just tell you how utterly AMAZED by my results I am and it's only been 3 days! This foundation has made my skin extremely soft and visibly healthier looking immediately. I would, however, suggest going a shade (or maybe even two) darker than your usual color, because their color chart is slightly inaccurate. It protects with the 42 SPF sunscreen, but without the smell or oily residue that usually comes with it. It's water resistant and lasts ALL DAY, with no need reapply whatsoever! I'm still surprised, when I check on it throughout the day, by how perfect it still looks. Not even a slight shine in my T Zone, after a workout... unbelievable!! Seems I have no use for my powder compact any longer! It gives full coverage, blends to a natural looking, lightweight, matte finish and isn't thick or cakey in the slightest. Really does appear to reduce lines and pores, and completely covers dark spots, blemishes, red marks, etc. with only a thin application. I've found it best to apply with my foundation brush versus the included sponge.I very rarely write reviews, but based on the remarkable quality of this foundation, I couldn't not. I even felt somewhat obligated to and share my experience to let any others know, who might be unsure about it, as I was, to go for it! It's well worth the money and won't disappoint! My only one regret is having not bought it sooner! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE and plan to try all of Shiseido's skin care products now! « less" - Macy's user

Rich Liquid Foundation by Illamasqua

"Like many people, I had read some of the negative reviews on this foundation, mostly concerning the difficulty of application and how it is unsuitable for people with dry skin. I didn't think that this would apply to me, as I am a teenager with oily acne prone skin. When I used this the first day I thoroughly moisturised my skin with Simple and tried applying it with a stippling brush. It looked awful, and I tried blending for about 10 minutes before my face turned into a flaky patchy red mess, I felt as though I was just moving the product around on my skin. I was really disappointed and upset, because this is such a perfect shade for me. So I searched online on how to apply it, someone told me I should use a sponge to lightly apply it, I did this and the same thing happened as the first day. However I had a theory that it was my moisturiser that was the problem, so I bought a different one, and tried it the next day. I was right, with my previous moisturiser, the foundation was just not compatible with it for some reason, it separated with the product. I finally got it to work really well and I am extremely extremely pleased with my purchase. Don't give up on this foundation if at first it doesn't go on as well as you imagined. It really does work well when you get it right, the pigmentation and the staying power is also really amazing. Less" - www.illamasqua.com user

Repairwear Laser Focus All Smooth Makeup by Clinique

"I hit 55 and my skin changed the same day. I'd gradually moved from a water-based foundation for oily skin to Even Better, but suddenly the EB coverage wasn't even and every fine line showed like a facial chasm by 10am. I did an in-store consult and was advised to try Repairwear Laser Focus. I'm so pleased! Coverage is awesome, no "lime of demarcation" at throat and chin, and no fine lines during the day. It feels light on my face, but it's very smooth and has a soft matte finish. Covers so well I have to use a bit of soap to wash the foundation from my fingertips after application...other types wipe off. I do think it tends a little dark. My one in-store complaint is if they don't have what you need in stock they push you to the nearest shade. That's why I almost always buy online now...they have what I need. When a 1.5 works for me, I don't want a 2. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="616279161982545286-full" data-show="616279161982545286-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - clinique.com user

Moisture Supreme Foundation by Laura Mercier

"I completely love this foundation. I am a little puzzled by the other reviews which are more negative. This is my very first Laura Mercier product I have ever bought and it is a dream. It is everything I have been looking for in a foundation: dewy, moisturizing and the warm ivory matches my fair skin perfectly. I like that it has a yellow undertone to it as my face has a lot of red that this covers beautifully. It is not too heavy, goes on creamy yet the coverage is excellent. It really covers the red area around my nose. I also paired it with the Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer which is another amazing product--it really makes my pores look smaller and the foundation goes on like silk. I am in my 50's so perhaps this is why I appreciate the foundation's dewy glow. I am not sure what age the other reviewers are but for more mature skin, this is the holy grail of foundations!!! « less" - lauramercier.com user
