"I was lucky enough to be given a generous amount of sample by a cast member to try before buying the full size product. First off - on certain areas of my face, I have several minor scarring from acne. The rest of my face has unevenness (with my forehead being darker than the rest of my face). I also have an oily skin so I tend to stray away from liquid foundations and only stick to mineral make-up and powder foundations. Now, NARS offers Sheer Glow (which is geared towards dry/normal skin and Sheer Matte (which is geared towards combination/oily skin). I was a little cautious about this foundation simpy because of the fact it may be too hydrating for my oily skin. Can we say, "Hello, oil slick!" Nevertheless, I was proven wrong. Read on.I wanted to give liquid foundations again a try and see how it works out with my skin now that it has cleared up from acne, despite of the leftover scars it left me. This foundation along with Sheer Matte with NARS is said to have complexion brightening properties that will improve skin's brightness, radiance in texture overtime. I have a medium golden/yellow toned face and I was matched and given a sample in Punjab. I applied this foundation with a flat top kabuki brush after applying Make Up For Ever's HD Microperfecting Primer (which is AMAZING for holding up makeup) in 0, Neutral. The first thing I noticed was that this foundation blended easily and the color is more yellow toned which I liked. One layer of this foundation gave me a fairly medium coverage with a somewhat glow, yet matte finish. Do note though that I used a flat top kabuki brush and the bristles are more packed together so it provided a fairly medium coverage for me. On my troubled spots, I noticed they were partly covered and usually I follow-up with a concealer, but I just put another layer on my troubled areas and it covered it just fine without any concealer. Since I have oily skin, I usually set my face with a translucent loose powder or Bare Escentuals' Matte (in Golden Medium). To set my face, I use Make Up For Ever's HD Kabuki Brush, which I simply adore. This foundation remainded on my face from morning until nighttime and only had to touch up once. The color remained true and I did not experience any oxidizing on my face. I still had oil surface on my face, but it was definitely controlled. I would buy this foundation next time I run out of what I am currently using (Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Mattifying liquid foundation - which is also another amazing liquid foundation). « less" - Sephora user

Hi-def coverage! Catrice's hd liquid coverage foundation is an ultra-lightweight, high coverage foundation for a natural looking finish.
"I say nearly only because even the lightest shade is a little too dark for my very fair skin. I can make it work, but I have to be careful to take it down my neck and bronze my chest but this foundation is actually worth going through all that trouble for now, come summer I don't expect it to be an issue. Onto what I love about it though--everything! The thin fluid texture feels like nothing on the skin, it has a perfect medium coverage (I prefer to use concealer for problem areas vs. having a mask face), and looks like nearly nothing on the skin--SO skin like! I have extremely combination oily/dry skin with dry patches and this actually makes the dry patches invisible without making the oily parts look shiny any sooner than they normally would. It's actually rather amazing. It looks gorgeous and skin like when freshly applied, is easily buildable, and the most impressive part was that I found it looked just as good 10+ hours later! I do usually use a primer, but even switching up primers this foundation lasted just as long--and I've never had a foundation look as good at the end of a long day as this one does. As for the "luminous" finish--I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. I would say it is a satin finish, not at all flat, but also in no way dewy. I do powder this foundation in my t-zone where I tend to get oily, but it doesn't seem to compromise the skin-like satin finish. I love that it comes with a pump, and that the lightest shade (2) is yellow based as often times the lightest shades are pink based. I just wish they made a neutral or yellow based shade 1 for us super fair ladies. I will say that if you're looking for very full coverage you certainly can layer this without looking cakey, but you'll have to use a lot (I use 2-3 pumps for medium coverage) and you'll probably go through the bottle faster than you like. Obviously the price is very steep, but I just haven't found anything I like nearly as much (and I've tried A LOT). I plan to save it for bad skin days/days I need extra confidence, and special occasions. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-217968567705807247-full" data-show="-217968567705807247-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user
A fluid foundation that improves skin’s luminosity instantly and over time thanks to luminizing pigments and vitamin C.
"I have drier skin. This foundation really is not as drying as many people say. I make sure to exfoliate my skin before I use the foundation. I put moisturizer and moisturizing primer before I apply it as well. It does oxidize a little bit. However, it is not as bad as the superstay foundation and for how cheap it is, it is not a big deal. It lasts the entire day. I would not say it is a matte foundation as loreal claims. I mean I do use moisturizer beforehand, but it is not totally matte. I do not use powder and throughout the day oil does not build too bad. Throughout the day, the more natural the finish becomes. It does not settle into fine lines anymore than any other good foundation would. It is full coverage. I have recieved tons of compliments on it. I totally recommend, as finding foundations that suit my dry skin is sooooo difficult." - mira user
"Honestly? I wasn't that excited when I heard Pat McGrath was releasing a foundation. There are so many formulas, techniques, and types of foundation that I didn't think it was possible to create something truly unique, as far as foundations go.I was wrong.I will never doubt again.Ok, let's get the basics out of the way. All the claims in the description are true; it starts as sheer and builds to medium coverage easily, is self-setting and a satin finish. But let's talk about why this is so unique. This is hands-down the best self-setting formula I've ever experienced. This foundation truly sinks into the skin, to the point where I can't tell that there's makeup on my face with sheer-to-light layers, yet my skin looks...perfect. Seriously, it just looks like I have the best skin of my life, but feels like nothing is on my skin. Even when building up to medium coverage, I can tell that it's there, but is so much lighter than other medium coverage foundations I have. The satin finish is also stunning. It does dry down a little more matte than I would prefer, but it appears dewy when the light catches it. When I wear this sheer, I don't mind the finish, but when I build it up I make sure to use a good amount of dewy setting spray.Of course the packaging is spectacular as well - it fits in perfectly with the 80s high fashion aesthetic of her Instagram.Overall, I would think of this as the most perfecting BB or CC cream you've ever seen, with the optional coverage of a foundation. It's an absolutely gorgeous, weightless formula that truly makes my skin look incredible.I received this foundation complimentary for testing purposes, but am already going to repurchase at full price, because the shade I was sent is just a hair too light for me! « less" - patmcgrath.com user
"This is my new favorite foundation. I have very oily skin with dry patches that sometimes spring up because of my eczema, but it is still very smoothing and does not exaggerate dryness and wears all day. I start to get a bit shiny around the 9/10 hour mark, but this foundation has lasted through a 12 hour day and still looked beautiful and in tact when I took it off. This reminds me so much of the Estee Lauder Double Wear, which is actually not that much of a surprise considering they own Too Faced now. To me, it has all the benefits of double wear without some of the drawbacks, like the heaviness, sometimes cakiness, and no pump double wear has. It is so light on the skin and I do find it to have good and buildable coverage. Strangely, I find the coverage to look fuller once it has set, so I only use a half pump to a full pump for my whole face now. I also love that this comes with 1.6oz of product and for $36! It is also truly transfer resistant, which double wear has never been on me. This also doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, hasn't broken me out, and though I don't like the smell of peaches, I don't mind it at all in this. I am glad I've found this because I've always loved the double wear but was looking for something similar that was lighter, had a pump, etc. and this is it. My only complaint is that the shade range leaves much to be desired. I wear Vanilla but have more golden undertones. I can pull off Vanilla okay, but wish they would come out with more shades for everyone to be able to find their shade as this formula is that good. I am have a light-medium to medium skin tone and the fact that I wear the 3rd shade in the line is a testament to how small the range is. If you are fairer-skinned or deeper-skinned you will most likely not find a shade, and Too Faced needs to fix that. However, if you can find your shade now, and are looking for a great foundation, I would say do not hesitate on this one. The matching primer is also great and pairs well. « less" - Sephora user
"If you are reading reviews to see if you should try this foundation, I am here to help! I was skeptical and when an offer came up for a deluxe sample, I gave it a try. I am 21 years old and I have a malar rash ("butterfly rash" brought on by Lupus/SLE). My rash extends from my cheeks down towards my chin a bit and on the bridge of my nose. It looks similar to acne scars and acne redness spots after a pimple has been popped. It is EXTREMELY hard to cover up without feeling cakey. I have tried everything. My favorites before this foundation are it cosmetics cc cream and Estee Lauder's double wear. However, double wear was very heavy and dried extremely quick and was obvious on the skin and it cosmetics cc cream was just a bit too light and I always ended up using a ton of concealer. With this product, I use 1-2 very light coats. I think those reviewers who are saying that this product has minimal coverage are using the wrong applicator tool. Normally, I am a beauty blender girl, but this foundation works best with a brush. I SWEAR by the new it cosmetics "heavenly skin" brush. Yes, it is expensive, but they last for years (I have several brushes from it) and it makes your application ten times better. Apply a little on your hand and apply an even coat in circular motions. Then, take another coat and apply in a dabbing motion (as if you are dapping the beauty blender). Whala! You have full coverage and NO redness or blemishes anymore. The foundation stays on great with a setting powder. If you have any 3D pimples, I suggest also pairing this foundation with makeup forever's concealer in the tube. I have used this concealer for over 5 years and have tried almost 20 foundation's and concealers. This foundation and the concealer I recommend are the BEST! "For the past year and half I have been on the hunt for a foundation that meets all of my needs - great color match (that doesn't oxidize), long-wearing, weightless and keeps my combo/oily skin under control (without looking matte/flat). It's a lot to ask of ONE product so I was beginning to give up...until I tried MAC's PLW foundation! O-M-G! I apply the foundation around 6:30am and don't get home until 7pm, and my face still looks great! No powder touch-ups, MAYBE blotting with a blotting sheet mid-day, but other than that, the minimal amt of oil that comes through makes it look super natural (I wouldn't even call it dewey). I'll only touch up with powder if I'm going out after work and want to look extra polished. This baby has met and exceeded all of my expections! A definite must-try! (BTW - I don't have sensitive skin so I can't speak to whether it would be good for those who do break out from certain ingredients). In terms of my shade and application method: I'm currently darker than normal, so I'm wearing NC44 but think I'll have to get NC42 and mix it come winter. Or I might try to mix it with the PLW concealer that I have in NC35. I use a flat top kabuki brush to apply and have been meaning to try it with my BB sponge. I moisturize with a yellow moisturizing gel (from a mid-price skincare line that starts with C and has a Q in it LOL), prime with MAC's Natural Radiance in yellow and set with MSFN in Medium Tan (thank you for this new color BTW! Love it!). I pair with the PLW concealer in NW30 for underneath my eyes (also lasts all day), and set the undereye with MAC'S translucent pressed powder. Hope this helps! #peace <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - M·A·C user

"I usually use a mineral powder foundation because every liquid one I've tried has left my skin feeling either super-clogged or like I want to scratch my face off, but the description of this foundation sounded amazing so I was excited to give it a go.First things first, I am in LOVE with the packaging for this foundation, the glass bottle feels and looks amazing and high quality and the design makes it look much more expensive than it actually is. The pump action dispenser gives a nice controlled amount so you're not wasting any.The foundation itself feels creamy but light, and it goes on like a dream. The packaging blurb states that you need to make sure you moisturize before using it, but having combination oily skin I found this wasn't absolutely necessary for it to look good, but does give the best possible finish. I've tried applying with a brush and a beauty blender and found the blender gave the more flawless finish. I found when applied with a brush it tended to cling more to any areas of texture. Either way, it sets quickly so you need to work fast to get it to blend perfectly. The look this foundation gives is a nice soft matte look, not powdery or cake like a lot of matte look foundations do. For me I really do feel it gives that 'your skin but better' look, and for the first time I actually think it's almost undetectable that I'm wearing foundation. It just gives my skin that smoother, more perfected look, whilst still looking totally natural. It can be built up to a more full coverage but then it does start to become more obvious and cling more to pores, lines etc. For me, the natural coverage it gives is just perfect as I don't go for a heavily made up look.I've found the foundation lasts better on my skin than any other liquid foundation I've tried, and it doesn't slide or sweat off even in hot environments. It lasts easily 8+ hours and doesn't transfer onto clothes etc. I've also found it feels unnoticeable on my skin which is something no other liquid foundation has done. It doesn't feel like it's clogging my pores, and it doesn't itch or irritate my sensitive skin.As for the shade range, it's obviously fantastic and has been widely celebrated. I have the shade 110 which looks ridiculously pale on me when first applied, but it darkens down within a few minutes, so that's something to be aware of when choosing your shade. I found this darkened down to about one shade lighter than my skin tone despite looking at least 5 shades lighter when first applied. So when I repurchase this I'll be going a shade up to get a truer match. All in all this is hands down the best liquid foundation I've ever used, and the only one I will actually be repurchasing. I still prefer my mineral powder foundation because it's super quick and easy to apply, but when I have the time to use a liquid foundation this will be it! Less" - boots.com user

"I’ve been really impressed with this foundation!! I was a bit wary before trying it since it’s listed as being “medium to full coverage,” and I typically don’t like wearing foundation because it feels too heavy on my skin. This foundation goes on really light, but can easily be built up for fuller coverage; it almost feels like a liquid to powder because it goes on matte and isn’t oily on your skin. I love that a little bit goes a long way! Again, I don’t like wearing heavy foundations, so this one is perfect for just using a little bit to even out my skin tone and cover redness. And when it says “traceless” It really means it! Usually if I wear even the littlest bit of foundation or concealer my husband will notice, but I’ve been wearing this stuff for about two weeks now and my husband hasn’t said a thing! The color matches my skin perfectly and it wears beautifully, so even at the end of a hot summer day it isn’t melting off my face. It does pick up the dry skin on my nose, so a face primer might be useful if you have dry skin like me.I also love the twist to open bottle. It’s great that it’s an easy, one step open and close so there’s no risk of spilling and it’s easy to pump out the exact amount you need.I’ve tried lots of foundations, and I’ve always wondered why someone can’t just make a serum-like foundation that dries on the skin and stays in place, and now I’ve discovered that Tom Ford has done it! It’s definitely on the pricey side, but worth it in my opinion. You definitely get a quality product for the price! Less" - Sephora user

"Wow, I am completely blown away by this foundation. I rarely venture beyond using a prestige brand of foundation, however the Conceal + Perfect has really thrown me for a loop as a find myself reaching for this daily. For reference, the types of foundations I currently use and alternate between are as follows: Lancome, Armani (Luminous Silk and Powder Fabric), Hourglass (stick), MUF (stick), and Nars (Luminous Glow). I typically seek full coverage without the cake face that usually accompanies such with a slight glow. I feel as if though I've finally found what I'm looking for in one bottle and no longer need to sit at my table and mix formulas every morning to obtain the perfect shade and/or desired coverage. The only thing comparable to this foundation that I can think of is the Urban Decay All Nighter and Estee Lauder Double Wear - both of which were complete fails for me. I found those foundations to oxidize and to be very cakey by mid-day on my dry skin (color selections were excellent though). I find the Conceal + Perfect superior to both. For starters, the coverage of this foundation is amazing, so much so that I find myself using less concealer in my problem areas. I have sun spots and dark under eye circles, and these are easily corrected without color correcting and less concealer. This is a buildable coverage foundation, however one pump alone is more than enough. I don't find myself needing to build any additional coverage after my initial application. Additionally, adding a finishing powder does not make the foundation cakey as it typically would with other brands of foundation. Blending this product is super easy, which is surprising for a thicker and full coverage foundation. I've had great luck with both a beauty blender (dot entire face with foundation and blend out) and a buffing brush (same dotting technique). The new Pur Cosmetics brush which is similar to the Artis 6 Oval brush is my favorite means of application. However, I do find that I have to be more selective with my primer choices when using this foundation. Despite having dry skin, I noticed that my T-zone was getting more oily than usual. This was corrected by using a mattifying primer in that area. In regards to color choices, I was pleasantly surprised by the selection for my skin tone (tan - East Indian decent - purchased shades 10 & 11). I do agree with the other reviews that the options appear to have more of a yellow undertone, however I can only speak for the darker shades in this line. In the instance that you're having trouble finding the right shade, I suggest finding a shade that's close to what you require and mixing it with another foundation in your current collection that is the correct shade (different brand or not), since the formula of the Conceal + Perfect alone is worth adding to what you're currently using. Overall, I recommend at least purchasing this and giving it a shot - if you're unable to find your shade or strike out on the first time, try one more time before giving up (that's what I did). Good luck! « less" - Target user

"I got this full-size bottle of foundation in the lightest shade as a free gift and I really wasn't expecting much because I have such fair skin and even the lightest shade is usually too dark for me or oxidizes a horrible shade of Orange shortly after application even with a good primer. I am 51 and have very dry skin and fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes that I am treating with serums and creams and most foundations make it worse not better by settling into the fine lines and creases so it looks worse with Foundation than without. I have tried pretty much all of the high-end foundations and have had little luck with any of them except for Urban Decay Naked skin which I use the lightest shade .05 it does not oxidize on me but it does feel a bit heavy. So needless to say I was not expecting much from this Foundation. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it had an applicator which made it very easy to just dot it all over my face instead of pumping it into my hand and then dotting it on my face and then having to use my foundation brush to wipe it off my hand and then start blending it into my face it's just a convenience issue which is nice. that being said I used my favorite foundation brush my It Cosmetics 101 blurring foundation brush and this was just over moisturizer and elf hydrating primer because I didn't want to use a high-end primer I wanted to see what this Foundation had on its own and holy cow! It literally blew me away! It how easily it Blended in with my skin! It was like I was not even wearing Foundation! it felt and looked so natural that I couldn't believe it! I had to go and ask my fiance what he thought, and he said that my skin looked wonderful! He said what did I put on it? he said it doesn't look like you're wearing any makeup but it looks great! (he knows how sensitive I have been about my aging skin lately!) I set the foundation with just a little bit of Too Faced's ethereal setting powder and their three in one priming setting spray and it has been on now for over 10 hours without any oxidation or transfer separation dry patches or oiliness and it looks gorgeous! I am switching to this Foundation because I believe I have found my Holy Grail!! Thank God for this Foundation because I was about to give up on my skin because no Foundation looked good on me while I was treating my lines and wrinkles it seems to look worse with any foundation as I said previously except this one! maybe because it has hyaluronic acid in it, or because it's such a light formula but it does have very good coverage for me and I used very little and as I said I used my favorite foundation brush and no concealer which is unheard of for me because I have slight dark circles under my eyes because my skin is so fair and I don't sleep well because of chronic pain. sorry this review is so long but I am just as I said blown away by this Foundation!! If I could rate it higher than five stars I would! I highly recommend it to anyone with mature dry skin and sensitive skin who has the worry of foundation settling into fine lines and wrinkles because this just didn't do it!! « less" - ulta.com user
"First let me start off be emphasizing that my T zone is so unbelievably oily that I felt like giving up on foundation all together. I was ready to accept the fact that foundation just didn't belong on my skin because after a few hours it would break apart in a way that is so obvious, completely slide off my nose and ruin my entire look (I'm looking at you, Nars Radiant Longwear). I've tried so many different foundations and have been on the quest for a foundation that was yellow toned enough for my fair/light yellow skin tone AND wouldn't break apart horribly on my T zone and I think that this foundation is finally THE ONE. It is definitely NOT full coverage so if that's what you're looking for, stay away. I think it looks beautiful on my skin and wears beautifully. It doesn't settle into my fine lines on my forehead at all! At the risk of sounding like I'm bragging, my skin is practically perfect besides slight redness on my cheeks and my oily T zone so it still shows off my nice skin through the foundation and looks pretty natural while still covering my redness. It does start to fade around my chin after 6-7 hours (please keep in mind that I'm INCREDIBLY oily) but since it's not full coverage it doesn't look bad and I do not mind it at all. I hated the packaging at first because it's plastic with a needle nose tip but it's actually really easy to throw in my purse and keep with me for a touch up later on. When I do touch up my problem areas it actually blends in with the rest of my makeup unlike other foundations that literally will not stick on my face while trying to do a touch up. I hadn't heard about this until I saw it at the store and I'm so glad I decided to take a risk and buy it. I cannot see myself trying another foundation; I honestly feel like this is my ride or die. Natural looking, great color match, wears nicely, doesn't emphasize fine lines. Please give this a try, you won't be disappointed! Less" - Sephora user
"This is the most natural looking foundation that i have ever used, which is why, i love it so much. As, i don't care to wear heavy, masky foundations on a regular basis anymore, as it just isn't best for my skin overall. If i do wear a full coverage foundation, it is for special occasions only now, otherwise, this is the only foundation that i wear on a regular basis at this time and definitely will continue to do so, as long as MAC keeps selling it. I like that it's lightweight, doesn't break me out or irritate my skin in any way, plus, it is very long-lasting, and i happen to live where the climate is hot and humid almost all year round, and it holds up through such. And, i don't experience this foundation transferring all over the place like alot of other foundations do, plus, i have gotten my face wet while wearing this foundation and it never budged. Even though the foundation does have a runny consistency to it, i do find it very easy to apply with a brush to my face, and i am able to layer it without any issues in order to get the level of coverage i desire. In regards to my skintype, during the Fall and Winter Seasons, my skin goes from being dry to very dry. And, during the Spring and Summer months, my skin is dry, combination. I also have acne prone skin, and i suffer with seborrheic dermatitis that happens to flare up just about any time during the year. I find this foundation to blend seamlessly into my skin wirhout there being any type of sharp contrast between the color on my face and the color on my neck and the rest of my body. As, somehow, the color that i wear in this foundation, C2 just works perfectly for my light-medium skintone. With this foundation, it has a very, faint citrus smell, that immediately goes away soon after application. So, this foundation does not have any strong or offensive odor to it at all. Now, before you apply this foundation to your face, it is very important that you shake it real well, because this foundation does slightly separate, due to its very unique formulation. However, after you give it a good shake, then the foundation is all good to go. And, unlike alot of other foundations that i have tried, this foundation doesn't oxidize on me at all. And, even though it is designed to provide a satin finish, i have not experienced any issues with this foundation making my face look super dewy or super shiny looking at all within a few hours or truly anytime at all during the day. It just leaves this very slight hint of dewiness to my face, which i like, because no one is born with a super matte looking face anyways. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - M·A·C user
"I've tried a few foundations from physician's formula that have actually been amazing (youthful wear, argan wear bb cream) but the shade range has been so bad that I could only use these if I have a tan. This one really surprised me with the shade range, the quality of the product and the packaging. I got the shade LW2 (the lightest warm shade) and it is a perfect match. For reference, I am close to the shade 120 Buff in Almay's Best Blend Forever foundation. I didn't notice any oxidation with this foundation. It has a medium coverage - but it looks smooth and flawless. it also doesn't pick up on any of my dry patches, or break up on me throughout the day as most foundations do. I apply this with a real techniques blending sponge (which is my preferred method with every foundation). It has a natural finish - I don't feel like I need to set it on my combo skin. Lastly, I wish this would have a higher SPF or no SPF at all. SPF 20 isn't enough for me to wear this without any other sun protection, and it may cause flashback. I have not tested it for flashback yet so I do not know if that will occur. As for the packaging, I personally love the large doe foot applicator. It's so easy to apply the perfect amount every time. I wish the bottle was plastic, not glass though. It feels very luxurious but I'm afraid I will break it if it drops.I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review. « less" - walmart.com user
"I used MUFE's HD foundation for years! I didn't realize when I ordered a new bottle that the formula had been changed. It's still a good product, but wasn't giving me nearly the same amount of coverage as the old one had. I didn't know what to do! I bought 5 different top brand foundations after reading countless reviews on here and several articles! I saw people raving about this new foundation, so it was one of the ones I got. I fell in love! But, I waited for over 3 months before writing this review to make sure it was a lasting love! I'm currently on medication that is extremely drying to my skin, but I still had a little oil on my nose. I was having a hard time finding something that didn't show up the flakiness and oil! Then I tried this one! The first application had me sold! I didn't need the 5+ pumps from other brands to create a good coverage that looked natural! I'm actually impressed that it does blend with your actual skin tone as well! Now, on days when the winter air made my skin even more dry and nothing on earth would have covered that up, I found a small drop of my favorite facial oil made it perfectly smooth and it was still providing a flawlessly natural finish. For those who have said it was too matte, or perhaps showed dry patches... I beg you to try it again with a small drop of facial oil! You'll be in love too! It lasts all day without using a setting powder - for now I know that may be due to the medication drying my skin. But, I also had no problem with transfer...it didn't rub onto my husband's shirts when I hugged him! At 41, I actually don't have many wrinkles, but my laugh lines will show up a bit when I smile in picture. I must thank my mom for the lack of many fine lines and wrinkles though - she had me using an entire skin care regime at 13! An oil-control lotion rather than a moisturizer for my teen years, but it all taught me that taking care of your skin is very important! Oh, if we'd only known back in the 80's to use sunscreen...then I wouldn't be dealing with the small sunspots that have come up! However, this foundation has great coverage AND doesn't settle into any fine lines. I can't wear a primer that "instantly smoothes lines", as I break out with certain silicones. So, seeing this as something that didn't depend on a primer to keep it from showcasing any lines, HUGE PLUS!!! I can't believe that I'm saying this, but Shiseido, you may have outdone MUFE's original HD formula!! Looks great in photos, even with flash photography, but looks natural while covering all the flaws!!! I would HIGHLY recommend trying this out. You might be surprised and find you like it better than your "old faithful"!! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-2030157338847980809-full" data-show="-2030157338847980809-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user
"By the star rating, it's obvious I love this foundation. I am so happy UD has made face makeup with cool-toned shades, and I love the light feeling and beneficial ingredients. It does a great job of evening out my skin tone, and while the coverage is light and it only wears about six hours total, it's perfect for someone like me who wants to wear something every day, but not something that is going to stress my skin or gunk up my pores. It truly is Naked coverage.I am very pale, cool toned, and have sensitive skin that is oily in the t-zone, but easily stressed and prone to drying out if I am not kind to it. Most foundation stresses my skin, so I don't wear it too often. I feel like with Naked Skin, I could wear it every day because I am not taking anything away to have this on my face.Texture and ApplicationThis is a very thin, almost watery foundation, and you need to shake the bottle (with an audible ball-bearing sound) to mix it up. The consistency is thin and very slippery. I found the best application was with my synthetic, round, buffing brush (similar to the one UD sells), then finishing by patting it into my skin with my fingers. I did try just using fingers, but I felt I was using too much product and pulling at my skin too much to get it to do what I wanted. The brush distributed it so evenly, and I ended up using a dime-sized amount for my entire face.FinishThis is a matte finish that reflects light well, for a smooth and glowy appearance. It blends nicely around the nose (always a gotcha) and into the hairline. It went on feeling slightly heavy and moist, but settled after about 20 minutes to a light, airy feel that was (as advertised) completely weightless. The trick is to apply it thinly for best feel.CoverageThe coverage is light, but it does a good job of evening skin tone. It's like a step above tinted moisturizer, which can be too sheer sometimes. I have a lot of redness in my cheeks (I flush easily) and it does a good job of evening that out so the unwanted redness is gone, and it leaves behind a pleasing rosy glow around the apples of my cheeks. It handles minor dry spots well, but won't stand up to severe dryness without some sort of moisturizer underneath or conditioning liquid on top.Buildablility and WearabilityThis foundation blends too well for you to really double up on pigmentation (it will blend with what you previously laid down), but you will get a little more coverage if you layer it more than once. However, layering does ruin the light and airy feel - it will feel heavier where it was layered. I got about 6 hours of wear during a normal workday before I noticed oily breakthrough on my nose and fading around the sides of my face. Out of curiosity, I also left this on for a workout, and although I was sweating profusely and it came off as I did, it didn't sting at all as it mixed with the sweat, and did not streak or ball up. Nice!SmellIt is fragrance-free, but with no harsh chemical smell. The smell is mostly neutral, with a slightly chemical undertone that smells (to me) like juniper leaves when you first apply it. The smell quickly disappates as it hits the air and/or absorbs into skin.No SPF?!It works for me, since I basically ignore the SPF in foundations, anyway. I am photosensitive and can't afford to take chances, so I always wear my own. I found that Naked Skin played well with my SPF.PackagingAnother win for Urban Decay - the packaging is sleek and glowing, exactly what I expect this product to do for my skin. The lid comes off, and underneath is a pump that does a good job delivering just the amount of product you want to use, based on how much pressure you apply. (Thank you, UD -- I so hate when the pump doesn't allow control!) The lid fits securely enough that I would be happy to put this in a purse or travel bag without worrying that it will come open and make a mess.IngredientsNaked Skin has conditioners, silicones for slip and protection, even proteins (peptides) and Hyaluronate to nourish and hydrate. The extras, such as Vitamins E and C, help repair skin, and are in high enough concentrations that they would actually do some good. Of all the foundations on my makeup table right now, this is the one I feel best about using on a daily basis due to the skin-friendly ingredients.Overall, I would recommend this for anyone who is happy with light coverage, but wants a step above the sheerness of tinted moisturizer, and is OK with fading after about six hours. If you need long-wearing and/or full coverage, look elsewhere, but this is great for every day wear, and especially appropriate for work situations that require a polished look without obvious makeup. It is also a gorgeous matte finish that will look like your own skin and make people wonder what you have changed in your diet or lifestyle recently that is making your skin look so good. « less" - urbandecay.ca user
"I recently purchased this foundation after watching dozens of videos raving about it. I normally don't buy into the hype from beauty gurus promoting products, but I figured this is cheap and it couldn't hurt to give it a shot. For reference, I have combo skin with super oily areas, random redness and some light, occasional acne, so no huge problems to cover up. I also hate wearing foundation. I can't stand the feeling of product on my face and it's caused me to return/toss/pass along many a foundation because I knew I would never touch it. My usual routine is to use some concealer on any of my "problem" areas, just to make my skin look uniform, and I'm happy with that coverage. This foundation pleasantly surprised me. It dries down to a semi-matte finish and feels and looks, for the most part, like skin. It sets pretty quickly and doesn't leave behind a tacky residue, so your face doesn't feel oily or gross. I wouldn't say this lasts all day on me, but it does last a full work day (office job, 9-10 hours) with only minor fading around my nose and on my forehead. I also wear glasses, so it of course rubs off a bit under the nose pieces, but I have yet to find a foundation that doesn't do that. However, considering how oily I get, that's pretty awesome! It does have a slight fragrance (as a lot of people have said, it smells a little like paint) but I'm sensitive to that sort of thing and it doesn't bother me after the product is on, so you won't notice it while wearing it. I would say this has solid medium coverage and will disguise redness and most acne. It does cling a bit to some dry spots, but nothing crazy! Also, I'm guessing I'm around an NC20 or 25 in MAC foundations (never been matched and don't own any, but that's what I've gathered by comparing some shades in other brands that do match me on Temptalia's foundation matrix) and I purchased Buff Bisque initially. It is a bit too dark for me but will be perfect in the summer. I plan on purchasing the next shade down with this undertone (Nude Ivory) and I think that one will be perfect. I should also point out that I have pretty yellow skin and the neutral undertone worked best for me (I don't pay a lot of attention to undertone, so maybe that's normal for me). Overall, this is a great foundation if you're looking for something cheap, medium coverage and light on the skin." - walgreens user

"I am really in love with this product! I find it to be one of the most versatile foundations I have ever used. I like being able to customize the coverage and finish of my foundation through combining different products instead of buying a bunch of different foundations. Because of the high pigment content Lock-It Foundation is perfect for this. When used straight from the bottle, it is as promised- incredibly full coverage with a beautiful matte finish that is not so flat that it makes your skin look dull. I would describe it as more of a porcelain-doll matte finish. You definitely want to wear a moisturizer before applying (especially if dry), and I would also recommend light daily exfoliation as well. It will cling to rough patches. True to most matte foundations, it will also dry you out a bit. I have experimented and found that the best way to apply it straight from the bottle is with a traditional synthetic fiber foundation brush- which is funny to me, because I usually hate them! A full pump usually works for my entire face. Wears well throughout the whole day.I am also able to achieve light or moderate coverage with this foundation simply by mixing it on the back of my hand in different ratios with whatever moisturizer I feel is appropriate for my skin that day. For me, one part foundation to 3 or 4 parts moisturizer for sheer and natural coverage. Equal parts foundation to moisturizer for moderate coverage. This method allows me to customize the coverage and hydration I get as well as allows me the option of adding sunscreen to my foundation. This is important, as my skin only tolerates certain sunscreen ingredients. My favorite to combine this with is CeraVe facial sunblock. You will have to experiment to evaluate how it works with your moisturizers. I would recommend a light moisturizer or serum before applying this as well, as it is easier to blend and apply this way. I find that I can use a stippling brush or buffing brush as well as a traditional foundation brush when the foundation is thinned out. The finish may change slightly depending on the moisturizer used, but I have found that it stays about the same. A half a pump should do you. Turning it into a tinted moisturizer can shorten the wear time, but I usually still get through the whole day looking darn fine.If I decide I want a dewier or more radiant look for the day, I will add in a liquid highlighter. Highly highly recommend Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter. It's gorgeous. Works well mixed with the straight foundation or tinted moisturizer creation. If you want a bit more of a subtle radiance, use a powder sparingly over the top like Bare Minerals Radiance powdersTroubleshooting: A couple issues I ran into.-This dries fast! Apply it in small amounts to small areas and blend out from there.-This foundation sometimes seems to "skip" over large pores, especially straight from the bottle. Working in your small areas, blend using the flat side over the area and then you stipple it into the pores using the "point" of the foundation brush with the little bit that is left on the bristles. Blend out again gently with the flat side if needed.-If you find that instead the foundation is filling up your pores, you are probably applying too much at once. Apply less product at a time- you can build this if you use light layers.-A powder over this is optional, unless you are particularly oily. When mixed with moisturizer, you are more likely to need a setting powder. Use a very soft brush and pat the powder on, instead of sweeping it. I've noticed it can wear off a bit in some areas when powder is swept on with a rougher brush.-Let it finish setting for a few minutes before applying other products such as blush over it. Again, I find I get best results with softer brushes and a mixture of patting and light circular blending. Cream, gel, or liquid products over it- pat only!Hope this helps you lovely ladies, and you can get as much enjoyment out of this product as I do! « less" - Sephora user

"I think spf in cosmetics causes me to break out and gives me milia so I try to avoid it whenever possible. I decided to try this foundation because it was one of the few I could find without spf. It still has the titanium dioxide which helps to shield the skin but does not have that heavy spf to it which I believe clogs my pores. The color of this foundation is beautiful. The linen beige is actually natural and not orange at all.Estee Lauder knows how to make natural skin tone shades. My skin feels so nice and smooth when Im wearing it also. Its very natural. Its not cakey or flaky which many cheap brands of foundation are. I think it seems to cover my pores better than some of the popular high end full coverage foundations I've tried. If I use alittle foundation primer first in the t zone area before applying this the pores disappear completely. I use a foundation brush to apply mine which really helps to blend it. Oh and it also washes off easily at the end of the day! Very important if you do not want to breakout.Overall Im very happy with my purchase and will be repurchasing most likely and discontinuing use of the other foundations I own. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="5183191712971304400-full" data-show="5183191712971304400-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Estée Lauder user

"This foundation has the perfect level of coverage and has a moist dewy finish that does not settle into fine lines and wrinkles. I use Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer with SPF 30 as my base moisturizer. I do not use loose or pressed powder and the make-up lasts all day! There is only one drawback - and it's very minor.....the pump take a very strong, firm finger to press it down. I would like to see a change in the level of difficulty in pressing the pump. I have to use my thumb to dispense a full measure of the product. :( Other that than, it's great! CRC is an excellent company and ships with speed and the product is packaged with excellence for no leaks or breakage. " - camerareadycosmetics.com user

"I'm so happy the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Foundation + Skincare was sent to me complimentary to try out and share my opinion. I don't think I would have thought of purchasing this as I'm not too familiar with IT Cosmetics, but Let me tell you! This foundation blew my mind. It's medium coverage, I'm usually a full coverage girl but I don't mind this. I pop on a bit of concealer where I have my blemishes and this foundation is a dream. It applies so well. The forumula is great and blends easily with a brush or beauty blender (I've tried both). It is so lightweight, you easily forget you're even wearing foundation! There's no cakey look even when I build it up a bit. As for the 'better-looking skin' claim, that's one I'd really like to believe and in time I'll be able to determine that for myself. And for sure I will because I'm going to be using this foundation to the last drop and then getting myself a bottle once it's finished. I have oily skin and this worked well. I usually have issues with separation around my nose and upper lip area even with the use of various primers and setting powder but I haven't seen any such problems with this foundation so far. The shade I was sent is Tan Neutral 42 (my complexion is medium complexion but more on the lighter side) and this was a very close match. Perhaps there might be a shade in their line that may match me exactly but this didn't do a bad job when I paired it with my concealer. Overall, really great foundation that I can't seem to find a fault with. Only thing I'm wondering now is if IT Cosmetics has a 'full coverage' foundation. I'd be very interested in that just by how impressed I am with this one! I do like the medium coverage though, it's nice and light for when you want to look put together without too overdone. I certainly recommend this foundation!" - sephora user
"This is my new favorite foundation.About my skin: I have yellow/neutral combination skin with an oily t-zone. I don't have any dry patches, minimal fine lines, and mild rosiness. My skin is not prone to break outs. I like using light foundation to even out my skin tone and reduce the rosy tones in my skin. A natural finish is of utmost importance.I am pretty fair (although not the fairest of the fair) and I use this in 10 Beige. I'm also 10 Beige in Vitalumiere Aqua - the colors match up. This foundation provides light to medium coverage (I like wearing it sheer) and is not drying at all. "Velvet" is a perfect descriptor for the finish. It is not dewy, but not matte and flat either. It does not settle into lines and wears well throughout the day. When it fades, it does so evenly and not in patches. It's nice on its own, but i love wearing Le Blanc de Chanel as a base under it, and I set it on my t-zone with MAC MSF or all over the face with an Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder for a subtle glow.I love this more than Vitalumiere Aqua, which I'm going to relegate to winter use. I'm really looking forward to using this through the summer. If you have similar skin concerns to me, I don't think you'd regret this purchase. « less" - Nordstrom user
"I've found my new HG base in this product! I use this everyday and it has replaced my LM Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer. I find that the finish is PERFECT. It's dewy and matte at the same time. Hard to describe but my friends have complimented me on the makeup and that it gives a dewy glow yet not oily looking. I also have worn this all night and never had to blot or powder. The LM TM looked good but it was on the shinier side and it required me to buff more into my face to blend. On the flip side, this is so easy to apply. I can apply it with my fingertips. It doesn't required extra buffing to blend in at all.I have #2 and it matches perfectly. From what I've read, even though there are only 3 shades - the shades are very forgiving. It is definitely buildable coverage and doesn't look cakey at all. Absolutely does not oxidize at all.Regarding the sun protection in this product. As a health care professional, I would recommend this to any patient. I prefer physical protectants versus chemical protectants such as avobenzene. It is much more stable and also better suited for sensitive skin since it just sits on top. This product contains titanium dioxide which falls into the physical category. This is also broad spectrum - UVA and UVB. I wanted to point this out since another reviewer that seems to be here to promote another brand made a claim that this is just a cheap sunscreen when it fact contains great ingredients.Overall - absolutely love. This is the first foundation/base I've purchased that makes me look forward to applying makeup. Also the first where I look forward to using it all up and buy MORE and MORE! « less" - Sephora user

"This foundation is incredible. I don't usually like to wear liquid foundation on my face because by the end of the day it feels heavy. It may sound strange but my face feels dirty and I can't wait to wash my face to get it off. Not the case with this foundation! Though I was using a decent liquid mineral foundation from Arbonne, it did not hydrate my skin like the Youngblood foundation does. My skin feels very hydrated and smooth. Although I don't make a habit of it, I have gone to bed a few times without washing my face with this foundation on and I haven't had clogged pores or breakouts. This is the best foundation I have ever used! " - BeautyBridge.com user

"I don't like to use foundation with sunscreen, so I had been using Teint Miracle but it filled every pore and even if I moisturized my face beforehand, it made my skin look dry. I realized that at 52 I need a foundation with a little more moisture. I tried this one and luckily the woman at the counter found my correct color; it makes my skin look stunning. I still need to be careful applying between the eyebrows--skin seems very dry there, but the color is perfect and my skin looks luminous and smooth wearing it. It's more expensive, but it looks really good on my skin. Just wish it didn't contain unnecessary sunscreen." - Macy's user

"I'm 24 and recently I've been struggling with acne and acne marks worse than when I was a teenager, so I went into Ulta ready to spend tons of money on a great foundation. What I found was that almost all of the high-end foundations clung to the small, nearly-invisible dry patches on my face (mostly around spots that were healing). I have oily to combination skin, so this was really a surprise! I had been using Colorstay (Shades 150 or 180 in the "Oily" line) for a while, but the lack of a pump made using it a hassle and a mess! So I decided to try this on a BOGO while repurchasing Colorstay...and I ended up liking this even better. For comparison, it's thinner than Colorstay while giving comparable coverage. The consistency makes it easy to blend all over my face and then go back over problem areas with another layer of foundation to augment coverage; this way, it doesn't look like I'm wearing a mask. My skin has definitely been improving and I can leave the house with just a thin layer some days. For reference, I'm a 2.0-3.0 (winter-summer) in UD Naked and I wear 10-30 in this line. I recommend this to everyone I know and even got my mom hooked. A must try! « less" - ulta.com user
"I bought this in natural beige (I'm Greek venezuelan, so I'm a light olive, but with dark hair and eyes). The ONLY reason I bought this was because I was VERY desperate. I had NO money for makeup and my smash box BB cream (which I wear in light/neutral or light/medium) was basically dead. I have very dry, red, acne prone skin. My acne is getting better, it's mostly red and sorta pimply cheeks now. The smash box did a good job of mostly covering the acne, but I had to use a little bit of concealer for redness. So I had very low expectations for this. I am a totally name brand makeup snob. I can't remember the last time I bought drug store makeup. Probably in middle school. I had actually bought this foundation a long time ago, but it stank and felt tacky. I however ended up trying it again since it was so highly rated. Let me tell you, it will take a miracle foundation for me to start buy that expensive stuff again. It is the perfect amount of coverage for me, it's perfect for my dry skin, and it blends flawlessly (I use the benefit foundation brush). It looked too pink when I put it on my hand at first (I have a somewhat yellow undertone, so I use yellowish makeup), but it covered my redness really well and it looks so natural and feels weightless. I never write reviews but the moment I finished putting this on I was so impressed I sat down and immediately wrote this. This is an amazing foundation. My only con would be that this might be a little to hard for beginners to use. It's a thick liquid consistency, and it might dry too fast if you aren't good at blending. I really recommend using a foundation brush." - ulta user
