ColorBurst Balm Stain by Revlon

"I have these in three colors - Sultry, Striking and Standout - and came here today to buy Striking again. It's a holy grail lippie for me. I suppose it's a coral red color but it reads as light red on me because it doesn't pull pink or orange (though it is very warm toned.). I can wear it full strength for the most flattering red lip but mostly wear it with my favorite balm for a sheer lipstick look. It brightens my face and brings out my blue-green eyes without looking too harsh against my light, warm toned skin. I use it to color-adjust lots of other lippies, too. The formula really plays well with other products. When I want to highlight the natural color of my lips, I wear Sultry. It's such a good match (but a little more pigmented) that I sometimes use it as a lipliner. These are amazing, especially for a drugstore product. I regularly try drugstore lipsticks, balms, etc because the colors are so enticing but I find the colors almost never stay true on my lips -- they turn very pink or purple within minutes -- and most have a very uneven or patchy wear pattern or smear around or dry out my lips. Since there aren't a lot of colors that look good on me, I end up buying much pricier products to get what I need. And it's still not easy to find pricey products that don't do those things mentioned above, especially if you want to wear them less than full strength. These matte lip balms are a major exception. The texture is beautiful -- no dead or parched looking matte here -- and it goes on so easily. BTW, these have "balm" in their name but they're pretty intensely pigmented and are opaque... at least the colors I've tried. I prefer to wear sheer lipsticks during the day and with the formula of these there's no need to hunt for sheer versions of the gorgeous colors available here. A light dab of these will give a nice matte stain look (though they don't actually stain my lips that much). These also play very well with every type of balm and lip product I've used to get sheer dewy or shiny looks. And the colors stay true when thinned out. This is tough to find, especially with reds. Most have extremely strong pink undertones that leave no trace of red behind when thinned out. Almost forgot…I love the packaging. Not glamorous, I know, but very user friendly. The cap is secure and the color makes it easy to grab the right one out of my bag. The fat pencil that doesn't require sharpening makes application and maintenance effortless. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - ulta.com user

Vinyl Cream Lip Stain by YSL Beauty

"I was gifted these new Vinyl Cream Stains from YSL and Sephora to try out and review, in shades 401 (Rouge Vinyle - what I would describe as a deep classic blue-red with cool berry-pink undertones) and 402 (Rouge Remix - what I would describe as a bright watermelon red with warm coral undertones).Upon testing them, I was pleased to find that the formula is cushiony and creamy, completely non-sticky, and can be applied very sheer as a demi-matte stain or built up to a glossy, nearly-opaque lip. The formula stays in place and does not bleed, feather or settle into lip lines. This line is scented and smells like a cross between watermelon and cherry Jolly Ranchers. The fragrance lingers after application and can even be tasted, which some people may not like, but I don't find it to be an offensive or headachey fragrance (this coming from someone who is very fragrance-sensitive and picky). It just smells like candy. The applicator picks up a lot of product, so when I want it sheer I wipe some on and then blend out with my finger, and if I want it more full-coverage then I use the arrow-shaped doefoot applicator to apply evenly. It blots evenly with tissue, and leaves behind a lovely stain after removal or long wear. Wear time is pretty long (though I rarely keep a lip color on long enough for this to be a problem), but it does transfer to EVERYTHING..I personally really enjoy sheer, buildable lip formulas with a lot of versatility, so the Vinyl Cream Stain is a win in my opinion. Another great product from a great brand. Thanks, YSL and Sephora! « less" - Sephora user

Rouge Coco Lip Blush Hydrating Lip and Cheek Sheer Colour by Chanel

"I had been waiting for this color to come to my local Nordstrom but I found it online and ordered it right away. Love the texture and silky essential oils that keep it moist and vibrant. I'm going to wear this all year long and probably order more shades. I always buy Chanel for their quality products. I have light olive skin and the model Kira Knightly has perfect coloring so I am glad it looks great on my lips too! I highly recommend Message for a go to lip color. Love it! " - Nordstrom user

Rouge Lip Tint by Sephora Collection

"Where has this been all my life??? I've been looking for something like this for so long. It's exactly what the description says. Put it on like regular lipstick, let it dry (maybe takes 40 seconds?), dab your lips with a kleenex if you want, and then go about your day. It feels so lightweight that I forget that I have anything on until I see myself in a mirror and I remember! It lasts FOREVER. Simply trying to wipe it off won't do anything. It won't budge the entire day. You need makeup remover to remove it. You'd think with it being so lightweight that the color wouldn't be super strong, but it is! Some of the colors are super bold. I chose to buy Rose because it was a little bit more natural-looking, but it definitely makes my lips look like they have a dark pink/light red color. I love this so much. At first, it does kind of have a weird taste, but that's why you dab it with a kleenex once it's dried. Or, since it stays on so well, rub your lips with your finger to get any excess off. I think that will help with the weird taste. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-6007889528043517057-full" data-show="-6007889528043517057-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Peach Puff Long-Wearing Diffused Matte Lip Color by Too Faced

"I wasn't sure how I would feel about this product as it's new and there aren't many reviews online, but wanted to try it out. I'm happy to say I actually love it. My skin tone is a level 2 fair with yellow undertones and You Wish is a perfect peachy nude for me. I typically use lip stains for their staying power, so this was a change for me. The color does last a while, but fades quicker than Kat Von D's Everlasting lip stain and Stila's Stay-all-day, but it fades gradually and doesn't flake or pull up in certain spots (you know how lip stains lift closer to your mouth and leave a ring). Transfer is fairly minimal. The application was at first odd to me--it took quite a few clicks to get the product out (which made me initially think my tube was broken) and I figured out that it's best to dab it on rather than glide as you do with a wand. This makes the application a bit more blurred which I think contributes to the natural look of this product. The peachy smell is also a treat. When I'm wearing this my lips feel plump and hydrated--but not sticky--which is another bonus. Give this a try if you're looking for a nice nude for daily wear. « less" - Sephora user

Tatouage Couture Velvet Lip Cream by YSL Beauty

"⚠️ WARNING: I’ve seen some comments being disappointed that it doesn’t dry down completely. This is more of a cream lipstick instead of a true liquid lipstick if that makes sense. So it will not dry down completely so if you’re expecting it to dry down it won’t. So that may be a let down for some. Anyways I love how creamy and comfortable they are plus the colors are beautiful. Even though it’s more of a cream it’s still very pigmented. So a little goes a long way especially with the more red or darker colors. You can also blot your lips on a napkin to turn it into a more matte finish. Either way it’s beautiful. It does last quite a while even though it doesn’t dry down completely and the darker/red colors leave a beautiful sort of lip stain/tint afterwards. It doesn’t stain the lips to the point that it’s on there for days it will come off with a makeup wipe. I ended up buying 4 colors because I fell in love with the formula. Definitely recommend them if you’re thinking about getting one definitely go for it! (Side note: It wouldn’t let me change the color choice I did not get N202. I ended up getting 204, 206, 210, and 211. Those are the colors I’m basing my review on!) Hope you love them as much as I do!" - sephora user

Couture Lip Stain by YSL Beauty

"Let me start off by saying I’ve always had trouble with any type of lipstick or lip stain but this stuff is a real awesome deal and works amazingly I started off with buying the pink and then I went and bought the ride after being so impressed with the pink I have very light skin these look best on me. I plan to buy one more shade it’s more of a nude color it’s called Rose and I really think it’ll be great for my collection these two have quickly replaced at least 20 that I use on the regular I don’t even use regular lipstick anymore because of the quality of this I wish I known a long time ago about this I could’ve saved a lot of money I’m not the type of person to really want to go out of my way to get lip liner because I feel like it’s a big expense to buy a lip liner for everything Single color that I have so it cost twice as much per color when you buy them and I personally have a hard time getting a good match to lipsticks that I buy. The shape of the applicator helps one in the lips and it does not farther out at all after a little while it doesn’t even smear even if you tried it does last a very long time I’ve never had a lip color last more than an hour this really does last all day I did notice after a meal it’s not as bright and pigmented but you can still see the little bit of the stain it’s really worth every penny it’s my favorite go to lip product now what would make it even better is if they added a little popper The shape of the applicator helps one in the lips and it does not farther out at all after a little while it doesn’t even smear even if you tried it does last a very long time I’ve never had a lip color last more than an hour this really does last all day I did notice after a meal it’s not as bright and pigmented but you can still see the little bit of the stain it’s really worth every penny it’s my favorite go to lip product now what would make it even better is if they added a lip plumper to the formula. Less" - Sephora user

Outburst Longwear Lip Stain by BITE Beauty

"First off - I want to clarify that this lip stain acts as BOTH a lipstick and lip stain, so yes, it does transfer upon initial application and if you touch it up with balm or gloss! That being said, it's honestly the best lipstick I have ever worn. I was looking for a product that would stay pigmented on my lips for even half a day... something my current lipsticks can't manage whatsoever. I drink a lot of tea and water at work, and my lipstick usually wears off within two hours. This stain lasted an entire day! I was able to eat breakfast and lunch, apply my favorite Rosebud Salve, drink tons of water and tea, and the whole day it looked like it was freshly applied. Not drying in the least either, which is a major plus for my super dry, sensitive lips. So happy I ordered the pink AND the red... I want more colors! Less" - Sephora user

Flower Balm Bouquet by Winky Lux

"I purchased the flower balm because I had seen it or different versions of it online a few times and finally it popped up on my feed and Winky Lux's instagram page caught my eye. I thought the fact that the color kind of matches up with your pH for your perfect pink was really cool and the flower within it is so cute, so I figured what the heck and bought it. It arrived in a timely fashion and in the cutest packaging! So well done. Keep in mind though that these things are pretty small. Not necessarily a bad thing though because it is small enough to fit into those little accessory/lipstick pockets within purses. It goes on smooth and velvety which is nice because I figured that since it technically is a lip stain that it would be just a dry coat, but it goes on like any other lip balm. As you're applying you can clearly see a change in color and my pink really was so perfect for my complexion. It looks so natural and pretty and that color stayed on ALL day! I applied it as soon as I got to work around 8:30 AM and I looked in the mirror a couple of hours after I got off of work around 7 PM and still had color! I'd definitely recommend and this little bullet is becoming my new obsession and go-to! « less" - winkylux.com user

Ink Airy Velvet by peripera

"I got mine in Inktude Rose and it gave a color which is a mix of brown, orange and red on my lips. It has a bit of thick, creamy texture so I always use a small amount only. Application is very easy and you can line your lips accurately because of the slanted wand. The product glides very smoothly and amazingly hides the lines on my lips. I also applied this when my lips were dry and it was able to hide the dryness while still giving me the same smooth feeling. I highly recommend this! There's a huge chance that I will get other colors :)Things to note based on experience:1. It's very pigmented that the color transfers to things that your lips or the tint touches (clothes, cups/mugs, tissues, skin) BUT the color stays on your lips, which is really good.2. The color is long-lasting but the thick, creamy look only last for a few hours so you need to touch up if you want to keep that look BUT the color itself remains on your skin. Personally, I'd rather just put a lip balm or gloss once the product "dries."3. It's long-lasting that the stain stayed until the next day even after trying a lip make-up remover. I don't mind it at all since it makes it seem like that's my natural skin color :)4. The product didn't make my lips look nor feel dry, which is amazing! « less" - yesstyle.com user

Lip Tint by Alima Pure
4.2(271)$14

"I just received my 2 new lip tints today and love them both!!!!. I was a little sad when the former lip tints were discontinued because I really liked the Rhubarb, Sweet Pea and Holly Berry colors. I wasn't sure which lip tints in the new line to start with so I contacted Alima through this site. The makeup artist recommended Petal and Blackberry to me, based on my former favorite shades. I wasn't sure if Petal was going to be too pink on me or so light as to wash me out. I'm very pleased to say that I love it. It's a nice neutral rose pink on my lips. It seems a bit lighter/brighter on me than Rhubarb was, and I really like it! For me, this is a nice work / everyday shade that provides enough color to wake up my face, but not overdone. I also purchased Blackberry, which is a beautiful shade. I do love the berry colors on my complexion and this one does not disappoint. It can be worn as a very sheer lip stain or layered for a more dramatic pop of color. Either way, this color is just gorgeous and also wearable during the workday for me. I couldn't be more pleased with these lip tints. The new formulation is smooth, yet not too slippery and is also not drying on me either. I'm not sure what changed but I definitely like it better than the last lip tint formula because it seems to have more staying power too! As an FYI, I'm a fair skinned brunette, with hazel eyes and I wear the Alima Neutral 3.5 shade of foundation. I love all of my Alima Pure products. I own the foundation, blushes in Freja, Mimosa and Pink, many shadows that are just gorgeous and unparalleled - I love Chai, a few Velvet lipsticks in Lucy (a little light on my complexion but I combine it with a darker lipliner and this new Petal lip tint might be nice layered over it) and Iris (similar in color on me as the old Holly Berry lip tint) , many of the fabulous makeup brushes, Mauna Loa bronzer, Black mascara...what don't I own????!! I have a wonderful collection and this is one of my favorite green beauty brands! I've been building my collection of products from Alima for about 3-4 years now. I highly recommend these lip tints and all of their other wonderful products! * « less" - alimapure.com user

Stainiac Lip and Cheek Stain by theBalm

"I have Stainiac in Beauty Queen. I am very pale with dark hair and eyes and my lips have very little natural color. This is my go-to lip product. I find it a bit too bold on my pale skin as a blush, but for lips it is PERFECT.1: The packaging and applicator are flawless - no gooping around the edges, no leaking, and just the right amount of product stays on the applicator for precise control and easy buildup.2: It lasts - doesn't flake, stays for hours and when it does finally wear off it fades evenly and looks natural. Most days it is still on when I take my makeup off at night with no touch-ups during the day other than a coat of lip balm now and then.3: The color is flattering whether wearing in one layer or several.4: Non-drying - it is free of alcohol and paraben and has a touch of aloe for moisture. Other stains I have tried (and I have used them all) would dry out my lips terribly in a matter of hours, but this one does not dry them at all.5: Forgiving - you have time after application before it dries where you can blend, blot, or remove if you get in the wrong place as I sometimes do when I'm in a hurry.6: Buildable - as mentioned, I am very pale to the point I look sickly with no makeup at all. One light swipe is perfect for working out or camping - it makes me look how normal people with natural pigment look when wearing no makeup - very subtle and totally natural looking. A second coat is a bit bolder but appropriate for work/daytime. 3-4 coats is full-on glamour queen dramatic. I add SPF balm for outdoor activities or a layer of colored lipstick on top for color variety.7: Value - it is somewhat pricey but one tube lasts me for 3-4 for months of every day wear so the cost per day is minimal. Also, because it actually lasts I only have to apply it once per day, sometimes twice but only if I have been eating or kissing A LOT :) or want to make it darker for going out in the evening. One of the other pricey brands I tried didn't last half as long, and the drug store "marker" type products usually dry out in the package within a week or two. This has given the best overall bang for the buck. Please don't ever stop making this product. I would give it 10 stars if I could. « less" - Kohl's user

Gogo Tint by Benefit
4.1(442)$NaN

"This is probably my favorite Benefit product. The creamy texture makes it much more easy to apply than Benetint, in my experience. To use it as a blush, I just paint a couple of stripes of Cha Cha on two finger tips, rub together and then swipe from the apples of my cheeks up my cheekbones. The resulting color gives instant vibrancy to my face without looking at all "made up". Just fresh, bright, and clean. Throw a layer of Girl Meets Pearl on those cheekbones and shazaam! Magic. My favorite use of this product, however, is as a lip stain. It is easy to build the intensity of this color by layering applications. The coral shade works much better for me than Benetint and really seems to brighten up my whole face. The color lasts quite a while as well. If I am looking for more intensity, I line my lips first, then I do several layers of Cha Cha. Once it's stopped being sticky, I throw on a gloss, or for even more pop, I throw on a coral lipstick over the Cha Cha. It seems like when I do this, the color lasts throughout the day.The product can feel a little weird on your lips, which is where Benetint beats Cha Cha. It doesn't seem to absorb as thoroughly as Benetint but the staying power seems comparable nonetheless. I find that exfoliating my lips with either a soft brush or washcloth prior to Cha Cha application results in a much more even and lasting stain.I wear this product daily. I LOVE the coral shade. I always find Benefit's products fun to try and though I try a lot of their items, I rarely keep returning to one faithfully. But this is the one. Less" - Sephora user

Favorite Fluid Lip Tint by Pony Effect

"I like this tint mainly because it is very moisturizing and it does not make the creases in my lips noticeable as it seems gloss over the lips yet has a very long staying power. The only complaint I would have is that the colors advertised is a little bit different than how it is displayed on my lips, but it is probably due to the different lighting or natural lip color.I bought two shades, "Be Agape" and "Cherish Values" and my sister bought "Romantic Breath" and they are all very lovely shades, "Be Agape" has more of a stronger staying power and color but that is understandable because of the shade being a darker color. Versicolour Varnish Cream Lip Stain by MAC

"I must say I LOVE this product! I bought "It's Never-Ending!" after trying it in Bloomies. I've had issues with the MAC Lipstick migrating all over my face (even with liner/blotting/everything else), so the fact that this is a stain solves that problem for me. Plus there's a very subtle glossy effect that lasts for +-4 hours depending on what I'm doing, which is infinitely longer (and classier) than other glosses. Then the stain lasts until I take it off, which could be the next morning #lazy. Sometimes I freshen up the stain with other glosses in similar tones or just a lip balm -- altho tbh this product surprisingly doesn't dry out my lips like lipsticks or liners, and I put it on totally bare like right after I brush my teeth. It's highly pigmented so a little goes a long way. I think people who are expecting this to be thick and heavy in color are missing the point -- it's a stain/gloss, so if you're looking for something opaque, buy a lipstick. Same deal, if you're looking for high shine, get a shimmer Lipglass. Definitely let the Versicolour SET for several minutes, or else you'll rub off the gloss and the stain won't permeate. But then you can blot, fill with a liner, and then add another coat if you want a more opaque look. I haven't tried that yet tho so we'll see. I've gotten tons of compliments on this color and my lips are usually the last thing people give me props on makeup-wise. Gonna try some other colors immediately! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - M·A·C user

Lip Lustre Glossy Lip Tint by NYX Professional Makeup

"I'm a huge fan of NYX glosses, especially the Butter Glosses because they are beautiful, long-lasting, and not at all sticky. When I first tried the new Lip Lustre Glossy Tint, I was thrilled. It IS glossy, but the glossiness honestly doesn't last all that long. What you're left with, though, is an incredibly beautiful, natural-looking color that is really, really comfortable on the lips. It's not sticky or drying at all. And as the tint gradually fades, it doesn't look weird and spotty like a lot of tints do. I know NYX is known for their wide range of colors, but even those who love the wilder ones should be really pleased with this. " - ulta.com user

Color Caresse Wet Shine Lip Stain by L'Oreal

"I saw there was only one review for this product, so I thought I'd add another more positive one. I first saw this product on the "Katie" talk show used by a make-up artist on an audience member to show how "less is more" and how to do a makeUNDER rather than a makeOVER. The show featured the talk show host and all of the audience wearing no make-up which was refreshing and focused on the pros and cons of cosmetic beauty in the world today. Anyway, when this product was used on the audience member, it looked gorgeous. I've used several lip stains in the past, and they are usually just like using a crayola marker. Easy to apply, but then dry and not very true to color. I've been wanting to find a more vibrant brownish-red, but subdued color that as it fades looks somewhat natural, but still a bit dark. Like when you see celebrities in movies that almost look like theyre wearing dark lipstick, but it's so light as if their lips aren't "coated" or "defined". Like they drank koolaid of that particular shade, rather and it stained their lips! I love that look. ANYWAY- this product does just that. I purchased it in the shade "everlasting caramel", and I'm very pleased with the results. It's easy to apply, looks shiny but not super glassy. Just a subtle shimmer of shine. It's soft on the lips and STAYS soft for hours and hours. If your'e looking for more of a lip gloss where you can rub and smack your lips together repeatedly for hours, then this isn't for you. It has a slight stickiness in that respect, like scotch tape has though...not like gooey or glue. When the glossiness fades after some eating, kissing my husband, drinking beverages, etc, the stain left behind is very nice. In fact, it's the next day and I applied burts bees chapstick before i went to bed last night and the stain still remains this morning from when I applied the gloss around 4 or 5pm yesterday. I wouldn't say it's "oily" like the last review raved. I will probably use this every day whether I'm having a natural kind of day with just a little blush and such, or even on days with full make-up and glam. It is what it is...a lip stain, and it does that job perfectly. The added glossy effect and moisture are just a bonus in my opinion! :) « less" - ulta.com user

Oil Lip Stain by Milk Makeup

"My lips are generally very sensitive when it comes to any lip product that has color. I've tried a number of lip sticks, lip stains, lip gloss, and they all dry my lips, or the color doesn't stay on, and I start getting bumps days after. At $18, I was kind of skeptical with Milk at first, but decided to finally try an oil lip stain. It has checked off all the boxes so far. I love the rollerball applicator - it actually helps keep the lip stain glossy instead of clumpy and tacky, as many lip glosses get. My lips stay moisturized. Like another reviewer stated, the red is actually kind of pink. I, too, would love to see a darker color in the future, but I don't know how likely that is. Keep in mind this is a Korean product - I assume it will cater to tastes and complexions of most Korean women. Yes, the product has very basic packaging. But it is light and compact, and it serves its purpose. Which to me is really the most important thing. What's beautiful packaging if the product doesn't work well?" - sephora user

Lix Lip Stain Lacquer by models own

"I am pleasantly surprised by this lipstick! This one is on par with some of my more expensive liquid lipsticks. I was a bit hesitant to try this out since it's new to Ulta and has very few reviews. I decided to try it anyways because of the price and the overall brand image. I put it on and it lasted on me all day. Even with me eating oily foods. The formula is a bit moussey, which I like so it doesn't make my lips look and feel dry. The lipstick also has a mint scent that makes your lips tingle when you put it on. The downside is the color selection. I definitely wish there were more colors, but the ones here would suit most skin tones. I would highly recommend this product! " - ulta.com user

Serial Kisser Plumping Lip Stain by Buxom

"I prefer stains to anything else...but it's really hard to find a good one. This one is excellent! Good staying power. Fades very evenly and does not go on patchy at all. IT'S NOT DRYING!!! Yay! Keeps lips very moisturized. Good color range as well. I got SWAK and Frenchie. I love them both. I'm probably going to get a couple more colors. It does have a pretty strong smell and similar to the other reviewer...like a cough drop. But that does dissipate. It leaves more of a nice balm feeling on the lips that actually lasts a really long time. With the colors I purchased there was very very minimal transfer. That might be different with the darker colors. Previous to this, the stain I was using the Essence water gloss stains which I love too. They are similar actually. But Essence needs more shades. I think Buxom has a bit more staying power. Essence has a more watery finish that turns into a very light balm feeling (not heavy at all). I would say Buxoms finish is a bit more heavy when compared to Essence...but it's not at all like a heavy Blistex type feeling. It's comfortable." - ulta user

Lasting Color Lip Gloss Stain by ULTA Beauty

"I love a good stain since lipsticks don't last very long on me since I bite my lips constantly. I got this not realizing it's also a lip gloss, not a fan of glosses. But I put it on and pat off the excess and it works for me. I have a darker skin tone and my lips are very pigmented to begin with so I have a hard time finding colors that work on me. Most neutral colors look like "my lips but better". I got Monarchy and it kinda has that look but it evened my lip color out and deepened it a bit. What I really love about this is that once the main color wears off, it did stain my lips so my lips stayed one consistent color throughout my lips . Love, love, love it. Going to get some of the the other colors." - ulta user

Lip and Cheek Gel Stain by vincent longo

"I have tried a number of lip stains of various brands and none of them comes close to this product in terms of fabulous color, wearability, and staying power. The first ones I tried were thin liquids that flowed to the edges and looked like lipliner, leaving little or no color on my lips. The felt-tip pen variety worked maybe twice and then the pen was dry (tried multiple pens - all the same scenario). This stain, however, does actually have more viscosity than the runny liquid stains and it stays put long enough to dry. If it settles around the edges, I can use my finger or a tissue to blot the excess, evening out the color. I apply a light coat first thing in my cosmetic routine, then allow that to set before adding at least one more coat of stain. I allow the second coat to dry for a minute or two, and finally, I top with a lightweight gloss or balm (Spike My Punch from the Plump Your Pucker line by The Balm looks great over Cupid's Breath, at least with my medium-olive skin tone). Alone, the stain wears off after a few hours but with a balm over it, I have color all day. Unlike some other reviewers, I have had great luck using this as a cheek stain as well. My skin tends to be soft and moist so perhaps that's why, but I find that it blends beautifully with just a finger application and it lasts much longer than powder blushers. I have been wearing Cupid's Breath almost daily for several years, and I love this gorgeous, warm red-brown that looks amazing on my moderately-pigmented lips (most natural-looking lip color just looks like a pasty/chalky finish on me). I'm buying some to put away before I run out! « less" - Beauty.com user

ColorStay Moisture Stain by Revlon

"I can never keep lipstick on my lips, so I have started using lip stains. Unfortunately, I've had my own issues with those - the stain is too sheer and doesn't last, they dry out my lips, etc. Recently, I picked up ColorStay Moisture Stain in Barcelona Nights. I was a little surprised to see the color (it looked SO BRIGHT on the applicator stick) and wasn't too impressed by the scent (I can see why some people call it "glue-y"), but decided to use it anyway. Since I'm not a big fan of super glossy lips, I decided to try patting the product into my lips with a finger. BINGO. Not only is this the most moisturizing stain I've ever used, the stain lasts almost all day. And I love the color selection. Bottom line - if you are looking for a lip gloss, I wouldn't recommend this. However, if you are looking for a long-lasting lip stain that stays put and doesn't dry out your lips, this is great. One tip, though…be sure to exfoliate your lips before applying this! Like any lip stain, it will cling to rough areas. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - ulta.com user

Lip Stain by Palladio

"This product is excellent if you want to add color to your lips but don't want something heavy or sticky. Pros: It's a sheer buildable stain that can achieve a decent amount of color with multiple layers but let's your natural lip color show through. Once it's applied you don't have to worry about it moving around or transferring on you. Cons: The marker itself has a bit of a perfumey scent to it when you open it. I think the scent is pleasant, but some people are very sensitive to smells. Also, being a stain this product can be drying. That's easily fixed by applying a lip balm a few minutes before you apply the stain, then wipe the balm off and apply the stain. If it's still a little dry for your liking add a little more balm after the stain has dried. I have this in "rose" which looks almost like a dark coral on my naturally pale pink lips and "orchid" which looks like a bright almost pink lemonade color on my lips. These are my go to lip products for everyday, when I want something quick and simple to add a little life to things before I head out the door. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="5657134816493208394-full" data-show="5657134816493208394-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - ulta.com user

Rosy Tint Lips by Etude House

"I must to admit, this is my third (3 rd) Etude House's Rosy Tint Lips and I love it still! The color is intense and the range of different colors is quite good in this product. You can easily apply the tint to your lips with the soft applicator or with your finger. I use both. To give it an extra look you can apply lip gloss on top of it, but nowadays I tend not to, since the matte color is intense with some darker eye shadow or eye make up. I'd highly recommend this item, since it stays in your lips for several hours and the most important thing, it does not smudge any at all! I use a lot of lip tints, glosses and so on, and every mug I use during the day is signed by my lips.. This product doesn't smudge or leave your lips. Compared to the price of it (so low!!!) you should already be buying this item. Compared to the other lipsticks the price is affordable and you can't buy this good product with this low price in any other manufacturer. To be honest, I think I won't even to bother to buy other lipsticks, sine I know this product works. If I'd need an extra color, I'd just pick a new one. The one's that I have now are: 8: intense and dark for nigh life ;). 3: best for a fresh summer look! and 5: this goes well with brown hair and eye shadow, to give some extra dimension add pink lip gloss on top of it! Less" - ebay.com user

Rouge Infusion Lip Stain by Sephora Collection

"I love this product. I bought the coral one a couple weeks ago and came back to buy the cherry and strawberry ones today. I get pretty long lasting results (6-8 hours) with these, even when drinking, light snacking and putting gloss on top. BUT it should be noted that with any stain, the base color of your lips and the color of the stain play a big role in how long they last on you. The greater the contrast is between the stain and your natural lip color, the longer you will be able to notice the color of the stain as it fades. That means that if your lips are pale (as mine are), you probably will get more mileage out of these than someone with more pigmented lips. And it also means that the darker shades of the line (cherry, plum) are going to last a lot longer than the paler shades like beige or pink. I find this stain to be non-drying, but it definitely works best if your lips are in good condition. If your lips are chapped and rough, it'll cling to driest parts of your lips. I wouldn't apply it if you have recently applied lip balm as the balm may act as a barrier and prevent your lips from absorbing the stain. Instead, I'd apply the stain, let it dry for at least 10-20 minutes and then apply your balm. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="5616076595673209924-full" data-show="5616076595673209924-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Outlast Lipstain by Covergirl

"I absolutely LOVE COVERGIRL OUTLAST LIPSTAIN! I tried it after several friends told me about it. I picked up the Cinnamon Smile color w/ the topcoat! Oh my Gosh was it fantastic. Made my lips look a lot more plump, very natural, and lasted for hours even after eating w/ it on. I couldn't believe it lasted over 8 hours! Yes ladies you've read this correctly. I applied it over lipbalm to avoid stinging (which is typical w/ lipstains that are long lasting). Then applied the topcoat! This is one product that I'd highly recommend. Comes in a nice variety of colors w/ the topcoat or you can buy just the lipstain if you so choose. I also went and purchased the Natural Color. The compliments I've received is awesome. This has become a staple in my makeup bag and believe once you try this product you wlil also make it a staple in your bag too.The only drawback on this product is that it can feel very dry on your lips. To counteract this try putting some lipbalm underneath the lipstain. I did and this works very well. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-195832993085965333-full" data-show="-195832993085965333-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - viewpoints.com user

Liptitude 24/7 Hydrating Lip Stain by J.Cat Beauty

"I HATE alcohol-based lip stains! Not only it's so drying to my lips but you can smell the alcohol content that's in the product. However, this lip stain is perfect - hydrating and has a good staying power. It does tingle my lip a little bit but that goes away eventually. When I'm on the go and it takes some time to set my lip, I just apply a little bit of my setting powder on my lips and brush it off." - ulta.com user

Stain Stay Lip Stain by pop beauty

"While looking for a lip stain, I bought POP Beauty Stain Stay in Brick Beauty on a whim, mainly because it was so reasonably priced. Surprisingly, this is now my favorite lip product! The color is very pretty and quite buildable--one swipe gives subtle color or you can reapply for bolder color. This product does not bleed--no lip liner necessary. Amazing! The product is comfortable on the lips, but, being a stain, it is not moisturizing like a lip crayon. One could wear it alone for a matte look, but I usually apply a gloss over it. The stain lasts forever, even through meals. Since I haven't purchased the other colors yet, I sometimes apply this under other lipsticks as a long-wearing base color. I've had my tube/pen for quite a while, and I shows no signs of drying out. This is a winner. Can't wait to try the other colors. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Beauty.com user
