"I have what I call "fussy" skin -- sometimes oily, sometimes dry, occasionally prone to breakouts. But acne products are too strong/harsh, and "natural" products contain something that irritates me. Drugstore brand cleansers work for a while, and then my face gets fussy again. About two years ago, a few weeks before my wedding, I had a clarifying facial using the Botanical Kinetics products at my salon in hopes of clearing my skin before the big day.I was pleased that my skin did indeed clear up, and this cleanser is the only product I've found that suits my fussy skin. It generally keeps my face clear and feeling healthy. One pump is enough to wash your whole face, so one bottle lasts a long time. This is probably the longest I've used any one product with continuing success.I also use the Botanical Kinetics moisturizer, and I find that to be light enough to keep me from breaking out, but moisturizing enough to do some good in the winter. « less" - aveda user
"At 61, I used the milder Cerave (non-SA) cleanser for years, often with a Sonicare brush. My skin was pretty good, with occasional breakouts (probably from experimenting with a variety of moisturizers and other treatments). I didn't think I needed the extra exfoliation of the SA products on my face, but decided to try it on my thighs, hips and rear end. The smoothing effect was noticeable almost immediately. I had recently also begun to use a Cerave SA lotion and cream, but the cleanser made the most obvious difference. I expected my skin to feel dry, especially since I was layering SA products. No dry skin on legs, arms or the places I was using the Cerave SA cleanser. It doesn't lather up much, but a little goes a long way. I wouldn't consider it a discount product, but I think it's a good value. It's clear, so it's hard to realize how much I'm pumping out, so there is probably some waste. My fault. I'd prefer a non-pump; a squeeze top would be easier to control. (And sometimes the pumps malfunction.)I also use this on my face (without the brush) every couple of days, probably more in the warm weather and less in the worst of winter. It seems gentler than exfoliating beads or scrubs, which are too harsh for my skin. On other days, I used the regular (non-SA) Cerave cleansing lotion. I expect I'll use the SA cleanser daily in summer, because I have trouble removing the heavy-duty, supposedly waterproof sunscreens I use daily. Overall, I think the skin on my face and body feels surprisingly smooth. I love these products. « less" - drugstore.com user
"I nearly lost my mind trying to research skin types and the products I should be using. For years after my acne cleared up, I used body wash to scrub my face and whatever moisturizer the kids had afterward. The kids have grown a bit, I have now started wearing makeup regularly, and I’m nearing 30 so I figured it was time to get an actual healthy skincare routine down. All those years of abusing my skin led to severely dehydrated, but EXTREMELY oily skin. I decided to try this cleanser, the Hydro Boost Water Gel, and a hyaluronic acid toner from Baby Peach. The improvent in my skin on day one was so drastic that my husband, who didn’t notice the little gap in my teeth for THREE YEARS, remarked on how even and soft my skin was. It’s been about a week now, and I couldn’t be happier with the products if I tried. My skin feels so soft and smooth it’s unreal, and the softness lasts all day long even in our harsh winter weather and forced heat home. The few small blemishes I did have have cleared up entirely, my pores are no longer visibly clogged despite wearing makeup so much more often, and they truly do appear smaller. And the absolute best part is that my face is NO LONGER OILY. A week ago I would have had a face FULL of shine just a few short hours after cleansing, and now I touch up my makeup with a tiny bit of powder maybe once eight or more hours after application. I’m so grateful to have found this line, and I absolutely will be repurchasing along with the body balm, sheet masks, exfoliating cleanser, and serum. This removes my makeup so gently and easily (hello, Lash Paradise) with just one cleanse, it feels so good on the skin, the thin lather is perfect, it washes away completely with no residue, and it doesn’t strip a BIT of moisture from my skin so my face feels wonderful even before I moisturize. Also, my makeup has never looked better than it does over this line and my trusty primer. I have had no irritation or redness with these products (and redness was a daily occurence for me). 100 out of 10, Neutrogena! Less" - walmart.com user
"I have sensitive, mature, combo skin and have had a difficult time finding a cleanser that doesn’t leave my skin looking red and feeling irritated. There’s really no scent and it does a great job at cleansing with no trace of make up left behind. I love how it has helped retexture my skin and now it glows! I’ve been using it for over a year now, and will only use it as part of my anti aging skincare regimen!" - dermstore user

"I've been seeing more and more products out there toting charcoal as the new "wonder" ingredient but I "wonder" if it's not just a passing fad. I mean, we use charcoal to grill hamburgers in our barbecues and artists use it for drawing portraits. It is also a main ingredient in aquarium filters to remove impurities from the water. But it is also used to remove toxins from the body and is given to overdose patients and to people who have ingested poison (under a doctor's supervision). Therefore, charcoal must be a pretty hardcore ingredient! And it's now popping up in everything from toothpaste to skin care products to dietary supplements, and even drinks! So when I received the opportunity to test out this Charcoal Detox Deep Pore Gel Cleanser in exchange for review, I was very intrigued. The consistency is a thick black gel. You just pump a little in your hands and run it under warm water. It does not contain sulfates, so it does not lather. But it cleans your skin so beautifully without drying. And the best part is how effective it is at removing makeup. You will not have to use a separate makeup remover which saves so much time. It features a gentle, sulfate-free "no tears" formula that does not irritate eyes so you can even take off waterproof mascara without any issues! It has cleared up my blackheads and my skin is looking fantastic. I seriously love this product and I highly recommend it for those of us with oil and acne-prone skin." - ulta user
"I have been using this Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask with 3.5% Benzoyl Peroxide for the past year. I am in my late twenties and have more trouble with acne now than I did as a teenage girl. I have tried many products over the past 3 years and this is the only cleanser that truly works. I have oily, sensitive skin and many other products cause irritation, make my acne worse or make my pores produce more oil. In the past, I have tried numerous other Neutrogena cleansers but none of them cleared my acne and some created worse breakouts. This cleanser with 3.5% Benzoyl Peroxide is amazing! It is also great to use as a mask. I will keep it on for about 5 minutes, rinse and then I am oil-free for a few days. And for me, that's awesome! I like the ingredients that are in this product. I have found throughout the years that I cannot use products with Cocamidopropyl Betaine because it causes me more acne. Almost all cleansers now use Cocamidopropyl Betaine. So I was thrilled when I found this cleanser because it does not contain Cocamidopropyl Betaine. I found that I have an allergic reaction and breakout bad to most products containing coconut-based ingredients. But the Sodium Methyl Cocyl Taurate in this product does not cause additional breakouts for me. All of the ingredients in this product agree with my skin and help keep my skin clear of acne. Bentonite and Kaolin have absorbent properties that are helpful for people with oily skin. So this works well for me. I have not been able to find this Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask with 3.5% Benzoyl Peroxide in any store in over a month. In the past 2 weeks since I ran out, I have already begun breaking out bad. I started using a different Neutrogena facial cleanser, but it just isn't keeping me clear. This is the worst my acne has been in a long time. It is so hard to find a good product with a low percent of Benzoyl Peroxide. Products with 5% Benzoyl Peroxide or higher irritate my skin and cause a long-term redness, not to mention it gets sore and flakes. Benzoyl Peroxide has the ability to penetrate into the hair follicle to reach the bacteria that cause the acne and then kills the bacteria. A great factor of Benzoyl Peroxide is that it doesn't become resistant to bacteria as some topical antibiotic prescriptions do. I know because I have been to dermatologists and tried some that are out there. I felt like the prescriptions never worked because I never saw results – not like the ones I get with this cleanser. Salicylic acid does not have anti-bacterial properties like Benzoyl Peroxide. All it does for me is create more oil. Then with increased oil production leads to more acne. If this item is discontinued, then I will be very disappointed in Neutrogena and will have to find a different brand to start using. Don't make me go to that auto-delivery company as seen on tv or the web! At least consider replacing it with something that has the same active ingredient, with 3.5% Benzoyl Peroxide, and no Cocamidopropyl Betaine." - walmart user

"I got this as a sample in a set of Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peels (which I absolutely love) and was a little hesitant to try it. My combination and acne prone skin is really sensitive and I have exclusively used Philosophy Purity for more than 5 years and it has worked great for me. Anything too harsh causes redness, peeling, irritation and even worse breakouts.Since I love Dennis Gross' other products so much I gave it a shot and have since bought a full sized bottle and banished my Purity into the medicine cabinet. This stuff works amazingly. It has no soap in it so it doesn't really foam up and it feels almost gel-ish on your face. I put it in my hands and work it in gentle circles on my face for a couple minutes. It makes my skin sooooo soft and almost plumps my skin up. It also does a lot when my skin decides to break out into tiny bumps and blackheads, almost like a super gentle exfoliant (which Purity just didn't do for me). Could not be happier with this. Also does a pretty good job of removing makeup -- although good luck with Too Faced Better Than Sex, that's not going anywhere without remover ;) « less" - Sephora user

"I purchased this product along with the Bioderma Sebium H2O - Micelle Solution, Hydra - Moisturising Replenishing Care, AKN Fluid - Smoothing Purifying Care, Pore Refiner - Corrective Concentrate about a month ago. (I've left reviews on the other products I bought too if you'd like to get a feel for the 'range'). I'm 26 and have very spotty and oily skin; this range has been fantastic. I've seen a huge difference in my skin in just a few weeks, and other people have been noticing too!The gel does what it says on the tin really. Smells nice, leaves skin feeling clean and fresh but not stripped and tight. I use this in the morning in the shower before anything else, super easy to use. It looks like it'll last quite a while too as you only need one 'pump' per wash.Would really recommend this, along with the other things I've mentioned above, for people who have oily/combination skin and are prone to spots. « less" - Escentual user

"This is a facial cleanser that feels very soft when applying it to your face. It is super gentle and cleans very well. It does not leave residue behind. I use a brush or cloth, create a light lather, and lather away in a circular motion throughout my face. It is like a mini massage for my face. My skin feels soft after washing with this. This cleanser is filled with so much healthy goodness like activated charcoal, marine algae, aloe, and green tea; therefore, it is high in antioxidants, minerals, potassium, and magnesium. All of this is healthy and good for the skin. It helps to nourish and hydrate while fighting off toxins and impurities. It balances your skin's pH, too! That is pretty cool! Many cleansing products that are out on the market are more alkaline, so the skin is not pH balanced. This is a concern for me because this is what contributes to the dehydration of my skin, among other things. This product is balanced; therefore, my skin is balanced. As you can imagine, I will continue using this. I do recommend it. It is a great product overall. For it to be a normal-to-oily skincare product, it works good on dry skin, too. I have combination skin and am prone to breakouts. "I have been using this for over a year and I love it. I have very classic combination skin with dry cheeks and congested jawline/chin area that often comes up in angry spots. This cleanser is really gentle and deals with both areas without leaving my face dry or tight which I have experienced with other cleansers. A 5 pence piece-sized blob is enough for me to do the the whole face, as it melts on contact and spreads really easily, my last tube lasted 6 months and I used it daily. For that reason it actually works out really good value for money despite seeming pricey at first. This is a repeat purchase for me and one of my favourite beauty products. " - feelunique.com user
"This past year I moved into a new apartment where the water was so hard and minerally it reacted with every cleanser and clogged my pores. I had also recently ran out of medication for my acne and my face had turned into a bumpy inflamed mess with lots of closed comedones that I couldn’t get rid of. I was able to get back on my medication which helped with the active pimples but I still had all these closed comedones under skin on my chin. I tried so many face washes but they all just reacted with the water and caused more clogged pores. So I looked up cleansers to use with hard water and this one came up on a website so I read some reviews and decided to take a chance and buy the small version as I’m really hesitant to spend a lot of money on stuff like this. I used it for a week and decided to splurge on the big bottle cause it was the only thing that worked to get rid of my clogged pores. The only thing is that it causes the closed comedones to become white heads which I can then pop and then they scab up and heal but after all that the pore is clear and it just makes me so happy cause I was at a loss for so long. It’s really worth the money and has helped me so much! Less" - Sephora user

"The cleanser is very gentle and yet totally cleans the make-up from my face effortlessly (with no srubbing.) Afterward my face feels smooth and moisturized! You need ONLY a small, SMALL amount (less than the size of a small pea) to do the job. I had a severe allergic reaction to some medication I was taking which casued a VERY BAD break out and within 2 days of using this product along with 2 other SkinMedica products (which I will also highly rate) my face looked 100% better! I love this product and will never use anything else!!!" - dermstore user
"I am a young Caucasian adult with combination skin. I want a cleanser that cleans my skin (aka does its job), doesn't dry my skin out, and is a simple product with respect to ingredients. I enjoy using this cleanser by Simple. I can work it into a nice lather without needing to use that much product. It doesn't irritate my skin or make it red after use. It also doesn't strip my skin to the point where it feels tight after use; it still maintains integrity and smoothness of the skin. I use this twice a day, along with moisturizer, to keep my face clean day and night. I have not experienced dryness from this product. As for acne, I haven't had any breakouts while using this product that seem cleanser-related. Healthiness of the skin also comes from getting good sleep, eating healthy, and keeping your face clean/not touching it or picking at it. I don't think that healthy facial skin is the result of even the best of cleansers alone. That being said, I feel that this cleanser accomplishes what I want in a cleanser (aforementioned above) and would recommend it. I like that Simple provides a link to look at the ingredients of the product and their use. Do your own research; this is YOUR body and skin!" - walmart user
"I have very greasy/oily skin, this face wash cuts the grease like dish soap but also does a good job of not over-drying. The fragrance is very fresh smelling which I like. I used to use Clarasil face wash which also does a great job of cutting the grease, but the fragrance has an artificial lotion-type smell. This smells like a mild men's cologne. The first tube I got had separated and there was almost no fragrance in the first half, then too much in the 2nd half. As long as you shake the tube up really well when you get it you won't have that problem. Enjoy! " - ebay.com user
"This face wash is everything my combination skin needed. I bought it to try something different from the creme radiance, which is great but I'm not a big fan of creamy facewashes. The gel pure focus wash is amazing, really does leave your face "shine-free" and my favorite part is it smells SO GOOD. I still use creme radiance for when I am removing make up, because it's great for that, but for a morning face wash or when I am not wearing make up my go-to is the gel pure focus." - ulta user
"I have extremely sensitive skin due to genetics, a gluten allergy and slight rosacea around my nose and chin. Well, I've tried every cleanser in the book from CVS to Sephora, nothing worked. I about gave up on washing my face, thought I'd have to deal with dullness and zits. Well I went into Saks during a Beauty Event and decided to try the legendary La Mer. After one use my skin looked radiant, firmer and felt so clean and pure. I have found a cleanser that finally doesn't cause my skin to break out into tiny bumps from an allergic reaction, it doesn't cause my skin to be oily nor dry and dull and it smells so refreshing! The other great bonus is that while it's costly, there's a governor in the pump that permits the perfect pump of cleanser. You get just enough of what you need so you won't over use it. At around $11 an ounce, it's actually quite practical. You get a lot for what you pay and I firmly believe that with beauty, you absolutely get what you pay for. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - saksfifthavenue.com user
"ok...i had rosacea pop up in my life about 4 years ago. i struggled to find sensitive skin products that helped with both the redness and dry, flakiness, but even if they helped at first, their soothing effects always seemed to diminish a couple weeks after use. i randomly came across a travel set of the murad vitalic energizing pomegranate line (that mom actually found a garage sale for $3...nice, right?) and fell in love. i was using it for about a year, again starting to notice the soothing quality dropping, and when i went into a sephora store to re-cop, had one of the sales ladies tell me that i should switch to this line for my rosacea. that was last december, and i just will not buy anything else. murad is a litlle pricey, but you only have one face, so you should go ahead and splurge for it, right? :) on top of that, i am still somewhat prone to blemishes as i have the world's largest pores and sometimes oily t-zone. if you are also having issues like this, this is what i have found to work for me, so i thought maybe it could be useful to someone else out there: ~redness therapy soothing gel cleanser ~t-zone pore refining gel ~correcting moisturizer and twice a week: ~pomegranate exfoliating mask i am currently stuck in the midwest, where they experience all four seasons, and there are occasional breakouts and slight dryness, with the period or change of weather, but overall, i wish i had four thumbs so i could give this regimen 4 thumbs up. i feel it's worth every penny, every time. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Sephora user

"In a morning before using the product, my skin tends to look a little dull and tired. Not unhealthy, just like it needs a pick me up. I see once I have used this wash a definite improvement in my skin – a brighter complexion and my skin does indeed seem to have a glow about it. I look more awake, fresher, and as though I have had a much better night’s sleep than I may have indeed had!"This refreshing gel formulation leaves your skin clear, clean and super soft, with no trace of make-up" - product description. This product certainly is very effective at removing make up. I wear a primer, a liquid foundation, concealer, blusher and sometimes powder on my face. When using this wash, I found that there was no trace of make up following the wash – I brushed a wet cotton pad across each cheek and forehead following the wash to test the effectiveness, and there was no trace of colour on the pad. I often find using other products that they fail this test, and a second wash is required. Not with this gel. Also, as claimed in the description the gel is very refreshing. My skin feels awake and fresh after using it and I always feel ready for the day. Used alone the gel does however make my skin have tight feel, but followed with the recommended and suitable toner and moisturiser combination, I feel perfect and ready for the day." The multitasking cleanser also works to reduce the appearance of blemishes" - product description.Since using this product I can certainly see a huge difference in the blemishes on my skin, and the overall quality of my facial skin. I used to suffer with small pimples on my chin, and also larger spots across my forehead. I have seen a visible reduction in these blemishes, and they continue to improve with continued use of the gel. I am also using other Clarins products in conjunction with this gel, and so the improvement is obviously not down to just this one product, but I am very happy with the results, and there is no doubt in my mind that the wash is a definite contributing factor to the improvement of my skin.I do feel an obligation to point out that I use the entire daily energisers range, and would recommend others do the same to see the highest and most effective results.Overall, I have no reason not to recommend this product to another person and would say without hesitation to try it. It is for women aged around 18 and into their 20’s however, and would stand by Clarins and say use products that are designed for your age if you expect the stated results. Different aged skin needs different levels of care, and so if you are aged 30+ I would not use this product, I would use one from the correct range (Multi Actives for 30’s; Extra Firming for 40’s; and Super Restorative for 50+). « less" - Escentual user

"I have terribly dry skin and needed a solution. I actually tried a few cleansers every other month to see which was more effective. I have a lot of dry areas on my face and needed something that would hydrate. The cleanser that I was previously did great as make-up remover but not so much as hydrating my skin. I have used Olay products in the past and wanted to give this Olay Active Botanicals Gel Cleanser a try. First, I must say that the scent is very soft and not overwhelming. The bubbles felt very soft and gentle on my skin after lathering it up with my fingers before applying. I have sensitive skin, so I was glad to feel that there were no harsh reaction to it in any way. After I rinsed off, my face felt refreshing. After a week's use I found that my face was much softer and the dryness has got better. "This is an amazing pick me up for the skin! It's always a chore having to go through my usual skin care routine which I take very seriously but this is the best cleanser I've used since I started taking skin care seriously (my early teens). While cleaning, it tingles your skin and awakens it giving your skin a less dull appearance. It doesn't suds up a lot unless you make it if you rub it into your hands but you don't want to look for a cleanser that gets sudsy because that can lead to dry skin. The citrus cleanser is not very hydrating but it's not drying whatsoever. It does have a decent amount of beads for it to consider itself a scrub and not like Aveeno's Detoxifying Scrub so it's a decent combo of the two. I will buy it again but only after I've taken care of these horrible dry patches of skin a L'oreal cleanser left behind after only three days of use. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - drugstore.com user

"Clinique makes quality products that are customizable to many different types of skin (from sensitive, to oily, to combination, etc.) and of course products with this amount of success and customization come at a premium. As frugal as I tend to be, there are some things on which one just can't scrimp -- and effective facial care is surely one of them. Can you wash your face with soap and water and effectively get your makeup off, racoon-eyes and all? Yes. Eventually. You can slather some Intensive Care moisturizer on there while you're at it, too, but at what cost? Dry, damaged skin with clogged pores and/or *gasp* wrinkles? No, thanks, none for me. I'll stick with my Clinque Take The Day Off in the purple bottle. It even takes waterproof mascara off with ease (and without an oily mess)! Follow it up with the face wash in the green tube (or, my preference, the pump bottle) and you're good to go in a matter of minutes. It's not one-stop shopping but the effectiveness of this combo simply can not be beaten. In fact, since I've discovered this particular product line, I won't be going back to any of the "daily facial" or other assorted pad make-up removers. Haven't they always seemed unnecessarily messy and costly? With Clinique Take The Day Off make up remover and face wash combo, it's easy to control just how much of the product that you use, so none goes to waste. Just dab Clinique Take The Day Off onto cotton balls or pads (or toilet paper, in a pinch), don't forget to shake the bottle gently to mix the layers, then hold the wet pad/ball to your eye for a three count before just gently wiping away the day; no pulling, no scrubbing, and therefore no trauma to your skin. You'll feel clean, plain and simple. Just clean, clear, and shining. Two pumps of the face wash is all you need for a luxurious foaming wash; never a greasy or tight feeling. Just clean, clean, clean!Everything from foundation to mascara to liner and lipstick, gone in a flash; no pore-clogging wrinkle-inducing residue.I follow Take The Day Off with the Clinique three-step program (wash, astringent, moisturizer) and feel cleaner than a whistle. While it's not necessary that you use all three steps, the products are chemically designed to work together and enhance one another. This quick (and painless, but perhaps for your wallet) process has helped ward off signs of stress and aging. True, you might pay a little more for Clinique than you would some generic drugstore brands, but the effects will be noteworthy.Consider this our little about-face-frugal-beauty-secret; it's better to pay up front for something that works than multiple times over searching through the many brands that don't! "I was really very hopeful for the product the second I smelled it because it smells divine. I adore the smell of lemons, but hate the all too artificial scent most companies choose when inserting a lemon scent. This one is amazing and it's the perfect thing to wake you up in the morning. The scrub itself is very light and nonabrasive. For someone with normal, not sensitive skin, I can see how this could be used every day. Since my skin is a bit more touchy, I use it every other day and love the effect it's having on my face. besides my face being noticeably softer, it also seems a bit brighter and more even in texture. For the price of this product, you are getting results worth triple the amount. " - Clean & Clear user
"Even though this is an eye gel it has a creamy texture and is moisturizing enough for my 40+ skin. I use this in the morning and the Bee Venom eye cream at night. I find this does exactly what the description says; it's soothing, cooling, de-puffs, tackles dark circles and fine lines and moisturises my eye area throughout the day. Like all Rodial products a little goes a long way so it will last a while. I'm not a fan of the packaging, sometimes having to press the pot lid loads of times to get anything out of the little dispenser hole in the middle, but I couldn't deduct a star for that as the product itself is just so good! "I am in my late 40's and have used every drugstore, luxury department store and dermatologist's acne lines out there to tackle my oily skin and blemishes. I have been on multiple courses of Accutane, so you know I don't have a garden variety case. I purchased this set last year because I noticed that I had not used a cleanser and toner with LHA before. I was also intrigued by the age + blemish serum. Within a few weeks my husband and I noticed an improvement in my skin. OK, not earth shaking, but at least a good 33% less congested skin. When I ran out I noticed that a pricey drugstore European line also had an acne cleanser and toner with LHA. I assumed that I would have the same results with their LHA line and purchased that system instead. Within a a couple of months my skin was back to having more clogged pores and active acne spots. I don't usually write reviews, but this acne system really works better for me than any other line. My skin is used to using retinols, acids and peels, so I found it to be very gentle and I didn't peel at all. I even use it with a sonic brush cleanser and have had good results. I also purchased the Floretin CF which was nice and light like the serum in the set. And while I know that failing to fall into a routine with the same handful of products can result in breakouts and irritation, I usually have to try multiple products to see what works and what doesn't. Ursa Major's face wash truly is fantastic in that it doesn't dry out my skin while making me feel like it's really cleaning out my pores. "This is a lovely smelling, simple cleanser that does the job of cleaning and clearing skin. I would recommend this to people with combination to oily skin as it doesn't add any extra greasiness and doesn't clog skin up which is nice but if you have dry skin it may not be so good. It's brilliant for oily skin though and creates a nice layer of product to work with so I know all areas of my face are being cleansed effectively. The only thing I would say is that I found it doesn't last very long, that being said I have been using several pumps when you probably only need one and I do cleanse twice, so to be fair it's probably my fault. "This is a product to write home about! This product is likely to become my new daily cleanser. If you have oily skin at all this product is a must. The product itself smells amazing has a light blueish/green color when taken out of the container, has an amazing smooth texture, and leaves a cooling feeling when applying. You can instantly feel how clean your face is going to be when you apply the product. When you're rinsing the product it becomes gentle and sudsy. After patting dry my face felt amazingly clean and looked a lot less oily then before. I do suggest using a facial moisturizer afterwords though. In the picture below I applied half my face with straight product and the other half with the clay-to-mousse version in which you add a bit of water before applying the cleanse. I found that my face felt extremely clean on both sides, and that the results were practically the same, so I do suggest doing the clay-to-mousse version as you will save a bunch of product. I received this product for free for testing. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="7920844408972564617-full" data-show="7920844408972564617-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - lorealparisusa.com user
An improved, effective acne wash that deep cleans without over drying and invigorates with a citrus scent.
"I have tried many products over the counter to replace a cleanser I am no longer to obtain. I decided to give this one a go especially for the price. I was impressed. I LOVE the smell and once it mixes in with my own skins' scent, my skin smells like fresh baby skin. My face feels so clean and fresh and the suds feel good as I am washing. It removes all my eye makeup with little effort. I also notice that I don't break out with acne with this and my pores look so much better. I am happy to say I finally can wash and moisturize and walk out of the house without makeup now. I am bummed out that I can't find this in my area but I totally recommend this product. GREAT JOB! Do not get rid of this product, please!" - walmart user
E.l.f. Cosmetics hydrating gel melt cleanser is a gentle, hydrating formula that melts on contact transforming from a gel to creamy oil that helps dissolve makeup and cleanse the skin.
"In my previous efforts to exfoliate, I've tried many other products by major players like Ryobi, Rigid, and even manual solutions like the Workforce SB319/SS stainless steel wire brush and scraper. Once the skin grew back - baby bottom soft. So I was a little skeptical at the thought of sometime more mild like LiquidSand. My wife said, "Come on, at least give it a try. And take your tool belt back to the garage." Let me tell you - although I don't get the sub-dermal clean I can get from my belt sander, LiquidSand does the job remarkably well and doesn't make toddlers cry when they see me in the store. About the product? It smells nice without smashing my nose off with perfume. The texture is gritty, yet creamy - the way one might describe a bowl of Cream of Wheat - only, you know, clear. Washing LiquidSand off my face doesn't seem to leave any residue, but does leave my skin pretty smooth. The one drawback I experience, which may be the result of my skin type and reaction to "men's face stuff," is that in the ensuing hours, my face seems to become more oily. Perhaps the removal of dead skin and pore-blocking detritus encourages healthy flow of oils? How should I know? I leave the skincare chemistry to the scientists. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-103528124904371778-full" data-show="-103528124904371778-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Birchbox user
"I had first started using the Coconut Milk cleanser and did not notice that it had said it was best for dry skin. It didn't take off my makeup well and I started noticing a rash and bumps on my face so I switched to the Sea Mineral Cleansing Gel instead. I have only used it twice now but I have noticed such a difference already! It does a great job of taking off makeup and oil (I had just got done working out) and it smells AMAZING! I love it and will continue to use it. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth! I definitely recommend this product to anyone with oily/acne-prone/rough skin who wants their skin feeling fresh, soft, and smooth after just a couple uses! :) " - drugstore.com user
"On a scale of 1-10 (10being the worst) my oily skin is easily an 11 on a good day, so I was very excited to see a product specifically targeting oily skin, not for combination/oily skin. After even the first use I noticed my skin to be less oily and shiny throughout the day. After a full weeks use my pores were noticeably smaller and more refined and I no longer needed to use oil blotting sheets 2/4 times a day to remove excess oil as I had done previously. This is a phenomenal product that I would recommend to anyone looking to control the extra oil that accumulates on their face through the day and wants to eliminate that shine that comes with it.An extra bonus I'd like to note is that even after over a week's worth of use this product does not leave my face feeling dry or tight after washing; my skin simply feels thoroughly cleaned and refreshed. And yes, my friends even noticed my skin looked better, complimenting its matte appearance and others politely saying it didn't look wet all the time anymore. « less" - Garnier user
"I honestly have no complaints about this product. Can't think of a single one! I was recommended this product by a sales associate who reassured me that this product would be good for combination skin. I'm in my late 20's and I rarely get pimples or breakouts but when I do they tend to be on my forehead (t-zone). My cheeks however can be very dry, especially in the winter when I usually develop dry patches that last all winter. So it's important to me to find a product that will not dry out my cheeks but still address break-outs oiliness in my t-zone and this product does just that. I also have to mention that I have seriously sensitive skin that doesn't do well with harsh or frangranced products, and this product does not irritate my skin at all, yet gets it feeling clean but not dry. And not a single break out since using this almost 2 months now. So to sum up: its good for sensitive skin, non-drying, non-stripping, and prevents break-outs. Win-win! « less" - ulta.com user
"Did you know that even though your face is clean, pimples can still show up? Clearasil Gentle Prevention Daily Clean Pads is design to treat most pimples below the skin. This contains aloe vera, cucumber extract and vitamin B3. Its PH balance so you can use it everday and its dermatologist tested. I found that Clearasil Gentle Prevention Daily Clean Pads to be easy to use and dispense. This product smells good, burns just slightly with a cool and refreshing feel. I found it also to remove dirt, oil and impurities that my cleaner left behind. For me using this product three times a day dried out my skin so I used once a day. The Clearasil Gentle Prevention Daily Clean Pads packaging is nice and simple. It's easy to open and dispense the product. However, I find if you tilt the container it does leak. My overall experience with Clearasil Gentle Prevention Daily Clean Pads was very positive and a lot better than other similar products I have used. I would recommend and purchase Clearasil Gentle Prevention Daily Clean Pads. Less" - clearasil.us user
"I have normal to oily combination skin with dry areas on my cheeks and neck and oily areas on nose and forehead. When I first started exploring PC cleansers, I was convinced that I needed something labeled for normal to oily. Regardless, I ordered samples of all the different PC lines so that I could be sure to find the right product for me.As a result of my sampling spree, it turns out that Moisture Boost cleanser is great for my skin. This new Calm Cleanser for Normal to Dry Skin replaces Moisture Boost, and is an enhanced formula with even more anti-irritants. I sampled the Calm cleanser recently, and noticed the following:Texture--same as Moisture Boost, creamy but not greasy, and gives a sensation of coolingScent--same as Moisture Boost, neutral, somewhat glue-like, but inoffensiveGentleness--actually a tad less irritating to my skin than Moisture Boost, but even the old formula was very gentleCost--a bit more per ounce than Moisture Boost, which is a bummer.Makeup removal--I didn't have good luck with MB removing very tenacious makeup, and the same is true of the new Calm cleanser. At night I double cleanse with a makeup remover first, then cleanser.Overall--cleansing with both MB and the new Calm cleanser is effective without being overly harsh. My skin feels clean, but not tight, and with no residue (although I do use a washcloth, followed by rinsing).I'm currently stocked up with Moisture Boost, but when it is no longer available, I will definitely purchase Calm Cleanser for Normal to Dry skin. « less" - Paula's Choice user

I recommend travel kits to start, great way to get a feel for what works before making a big commitment. Patience is also key. Improvement is steady but gradual.
