Face Soap & Clarity Facial Wash by Soap & Glory

"When I first read-up on this product and its reviews, I was equally intrigued and scared to try this facial wash. I have somewhat sensitive oily/combination skin and it only takes one small dose of something to reek havoc upon it, so I was crossing fingers and toes with hope that I wouldn't have a bad reaction to this. Much to my surprise, not only did I avoid any bad reactions, but my skin actually has been behaving itself better since the very first use. The scent is definitely in a league of its own; it's not good or bad, really cannot think of a truthful way to describe it other than to say it's a fresh, clean smell. Other reviews have dubbed it as harsh, and I can see where they are coming from, though it's grown on me and I don't mind it as it fades quickly. When I wash, I use a pea-small grape sized amount and rub very lightly as there are buffers already in it; some say they like to let their cleanser linger on their skin a bit before rinsing, but I do not with this product as I don't feel its necessary. After washing, my face feels so clean, fresh, and soft; since I've started using this, I have noticed a rather shocking improvement within my facial skin. It is much brighter and my pores are significantly smaller (I have naturally large pores) and possibly even a bit cleaner within since I've had less breakouts, as well. I have ended up kind of falling hard for this product, and I will definitely be buying again (though it may be a while because the amount of product you get for the price is RIDICULOUS, seriously, I'm set for a long while!). On an ending note, I would like to say that, along with other reviewers who have had bad experiences with this cleanser, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR DRY OR EXTREMELY SENSITIVE SKIN. I personally do not fall under either skin type, but feel that this would be a no-no for either/or. I would say this cleanser would be best for the following skin types: oily, oily/combination, mild acne-prone skin and normal." - ulta user

UltraCalming Cleanser by Dermalogica

"I'm telling you ladies, this is the best for sensitive skin types since Cetaphil. This product is better though because for me, it treats hormonal acne, stress breakouts, blemishes, redness and inflammation, dryness, and periodic auto immune disease related excess oil. I have an illness that causes a lot of skin problems for me. I used to be a believer in Proactiv until it turned on me in less than a year. It just stopped working, and I realized how much it was drying out my skin, making it more sensitive, and actually causing wrinkles. I'm 27, don't drink, use tobacco, or do any drugs. So, yeah, it really did that to my face :( This hasn't happened with Dermalogica. The Ultra Calming cleanser is so calming, so easy to use, it feels great going on, and is very easily removed. This is great especially for women on the go. Anytime my face is going berzerk, I can count on it making me feel better. I can leave the house feeling, clean, beautiful and confident. I've always had a problem with products either over drying my skin or making it excessively oily. This does not do that.To the girl who said it clogged her cheek pores--you do need to exfoliate or wear a facial masque to clean out your pores every so often. You can't just put product on your face over and over again and not expect it to clog your pores at some point. That's just nature. It doesn't matter how natural it is. It will happen eventually :) Also, don't spray the hydrating mist on your face excessively. Remember, less is more.I know everyone says it, but I really do have the most sensitive skin on the planet. For so long, Cetaphil was the only thing I could use; even that backfired at times. I have so many food allergies, hormonal, etc. issues. I'm just really, really glad that I found Dermalogica. It even helps when I get the once a month cystic acne breakouts during my menstrual cycle. I may have a couple blemishes on my face, but they aren't NEARLY as red so I can cover them up before leaving the house.I really do hope it continues to work for me for many years to come. I'm going to recommend it to all of my friends in the modeling industry as well as in my autoimmune disease support groups. Thanks Dermalogica!!!! « less" - ulta.com user

Botanical Kinetics Purifying Gel Cleanser by Aveda

"I have what I call "fussy" skin -- sometimes oily, sometimes dry, occasionally prone to breakouts. But acne products are too strong/harsh, and "natural" products contain something that irritates me. Drugstore brand cleansers work for a while, and then my face gets fussy again. About two years ago, a few weeks before my wedding, I had a clarifying facial using the Botanical Kinetics products at my salon in hopes of clearing my skin before the big day.I was pleased that my skin did indeed clear up, and this cleanser is the only product I've found that suits my fussy skin. It generally keeps my face clear and feeling healthy. One pump is enough to wash your whole face, so one bottle lasts a long time. This is probably the longest I've used any one product with continuing success.I also use the Botanical Kinetics moisturizer, and I find that to be light enough to keep me from breaking out, but moisturizing enough to do some good in the winter. « less" - aveda user

Special Cleansing Gel by Dermalogica

"I purchased this after this was highly recommended to me by an Esthetician. I have been looking for a gentle cleanser that would not dry out my face and help with my occasional breakouts. I have been using the Special Cleansing Gel for about 6 months and I am extremely happy with this product. I have been trying different cleanser for almost two years before I fell in love with this. My face always feels amazingly clean and soft afterwards. It is great at removing makeup. My Esthetician was right - a little goes a long way. I got the 16.9oz and this will easily last the rest of the year.Dermalogica products have changed my life! Since I started using this cleanser along with the charcoal masque, my skin has never been better! I can't get over, evenly toned, clear and smooth my skin has become since using these products. I have recommended this cleanser to family, friends. « less" - dermalogica.com user

Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin by cerave

"At 61, I used the milder Cerave (non-SA) cleanser for years, often with a Sonicare brush. My skin was pretty good, with occasional breakouts (probably from experimenting with a variety of moisturizers and other treatments). I didn't think I needed the extra exfoliation of the SA products on my face, but decided to try it on my thighs, hips and rear end. The smoothing effect was noticeable almost immediately. I had recently also begun to use a Cerave SA lotion and cream, but the cleanser made the most obvious difference. I expected my skin to feel dry, especially since I was layering SA products. No dry skin on legs, arms or the places I was using the Cerave SA cleanser. It doesn't lather up much, but a little goes a long way. I wouldn't consider it a discount product, but I think it's a good value. It's clear, so it's hard to realize how much I'm pumping out, so there is probably some waste. My fault. I'd prefer a non-pump; a squeeze top would be easier to control. (And sometimes the pumps malfunction.)I also use this on my face (without the brush) every couple of days, probably more in the warm weather and less in the worst of winter. It seems gentler than exfoliating beads or scrubs, which are too harsh for my skin. On other days, I used the regular (non-SA) Cerave cleansing lotion. I expect I'll use the SA cleanser daily in summer, because I have trouble removing the heavy-duty, supposedly waterproof sunscreens I use daily. Overall, I think the skin on my face and body feels surprisingly smooth. I love these products. « less" - drugstore.com user

Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel & Oil-Free Makeup Remover by Neutrogena

"I nearly lost my mind trying to research skin types and the products I should be using. For years after my acne cleared up, I used body wash to scrub my face and whatever moisturizer the kids had afterward. The kids have grown a bit, I have now started wearing makeup regularly, and I’m nearing 30 so I figured it was time to get an actual healthy skincare routine down. All those years of abusing my skin led to severely dehydrated, but EXTREMELY oily skin. I decided to try this cleanser, the Hydro Boost Water Gel, and a hyaluronic acid toner from Baby Peach. The improvent in my skin on day one was so drastic that my husband, who didn’t notice the little gap in my teeth for THREE YEARS, remarked on how even and soft my skin was. It’s been about a week now, and I couldn’t be happier with the products if I tried. My skin feels so soft and smooth it’s unreal, and the softness lasts all day long even in our harsh winter weather and forced heat home. The few small blemishes I did have have cleared up entirely, my pores are no longer visibly clogged despite wearing makeup so much more often, and they truly do appear smaller. And the absolute best part is that my face is NO LONGER OILY. A week ago I would have had a face FULL of shine just a few short hours after cleansing, and now I touch up my makeup with a tiny bit of powder maybe once eight or more hours after application. I’m so grateful to have found this line, and I absolutely will be repurchasing along with the body balm, sheet masks, exfoliating cleanser, and serum. This removes my makeup so gently and easily (hello, Lash Paradise) with just one cleanse, it feels so good on the skin, the thin lather is perfect, it washes away completely with no residue, and it doesn’t strip a BIT of moisture from my skin so my face feels wonderful even before I moisturize. Also, my makeup has never looked better than it does over this line and my trusty primer. I have had no irritation or redness with these products (and redness was a daily occurence for me). 100 out of 10, Neutrogena! Less" - walmart.com user

Soy Face Cleanser by fresh
4.5(4521)$38

"If I could, I'd give 10 stars. STOP HERE because this is the ultimate facial cleanser and the only one you will ever need. This is a must and staple for your daily skin care regimen for any woman who takes skincare seriously. I've tried everything from Cetaphil, Aveeno, philosophy, Murad, a special egg white facial soap from sweden, to shu uemura's cleansing oil.... I'm in the beauty industry and I'm notorious for taking hours reading ingredients of the products that I will put on my face in the store because I have a client who develops and formulates many of these products and she let's me know what's good and what's not. This cleanser has great ingredients and is concentrated so you only need about the size of a dime. It removes all the sweat, dirt, and oil from a busy day. It removes all the eye makeup and foundation I wear as well as those "raccoon eyes" that get left from mascara. It's not formulated to break down waterproof formulas so I suggest using a separate cleanser for that. (most waterproof anything cosmetic- no cleanser fully removes it) This soy cleanser is AMAZING!!!!! It didn't leave my face tight or dry like most foaming cleansers, and it didn't leave it feeling "not clean" like most milky cleansers do... This one is the perfect combo of foamy and creamy and really cleans your face... My skin feels soft and supple and CLEAN! I love the way my face feels after using this. It's a high sticker price but well worth it since a little goes a long way so it lasts a long time, and it's made with really good ingredients and a high concentration of them. It's as gentle as cetaphil but way more effective. I recommend this product to everyone!!! I'm 25 and have combo skin with occasional pimples and it keeps the breakouts at bay while making my skin feel clean and look radiant. TRY THIS!!! YOU WONT REGRET IT! : ) « less" - Sephora user

Cleansing Complex by iS Clinical

"I have sensitive, mature, combo skin and have had a difficult time finding a cleanser that doesn’t leave my skin looking red and feeling irritated. There’s really no scent and it does a great job at cleansing with no trace of make up left behind. I love how it has helped retexture my skin and now it glows! I’ve been using it for over a year now, and will only use it as part of my anti aging skincare regimen!" - dermstore user

Charcoal Detox Deep Pore Gel Cleanser by Michael Todd Beauty

"I've been seeing more and more products out there toting charcoal as the new "wonder" ingredient but I "wonder" if it's not just a passing fad. I mean, we use charcoal to grill hamburgers in our barbecues and artists use it for drawing portraits. It is also a main ingredient in aquarium filters to remove impurities from the water. But it is also used to remove toxins from the body and is given to overdose patients and to people who have ingested poison (under a doctor's supervision). Therefore, charcoal must be a pretty hardcore ingredient! And it's now popping up in everything from toothpaste to skin care products to dietary supplements, and even drinks! So when I received the opportunity to test out this Charcoal Detox Deep Pore Gel Cleanser in exchange for review, I was very intrigued. The consistency is a thick black gel. You just pump a little in your hands and run it under warm water. It does not contain sulfates, so it does not lather. But it cleans your skin so beautifully without drying. And the best part is how effective it is at removing makeup. You will not have to use a separate makeup remover which saves so much time. It features a gentle, sulfate-free "no tears" formula that does not irritate eyes so you can even take off waterproof mascara without any issues! It has cleared up my blackheads and my skin is looking fantastic. I seriously love this product and I highly recommend it for those of us with oil and acne-prone skin." - ulta user

Superfood Cleanser by Youth to the People

"I rarely if ever write reviews because I pass through products so quickly. i jump from cleanser to cleanser, never really finding a “good” one. My oily skin is so finnicky and many cleansers feel like they do NOTHING! I thought at first, this was just meh. It cleaned my skin and made it clear... so what? But that mind set changed when I decided to use a different cleanser and follow my routine of switching up constantly. My skin started getting pimples in the one place I hated: my forehead. My sensitive, acne prone forehead that is already sheltered by my bangs. I couldn’t believe it! My forehead was always so soft and smooth, so when it breaks out i KNOW something is off. At first, I thought that “no, i’m just purging!” but it just got worse... so i pulled this guy out again. Oh man... within ONE USE my skin was calm, less red, and already some of the acne was started to disappear. I couldn’t truly believe some “boring” cleanser without all of the pretty and cutesy frills that I love cleared up and kept my skin smooth. I was astonished by how much my skin actually liked this product! I do enjoy the beauty of products like Drunk Elephant (i use Protini along with this and no joke... glass skin!) but this cleanser is amazing. However I will be honest and say that I do get weekly extractions for black heads since this doesn’t prevent them or help them out much. If you have oily, acne prone skin and feel like you’ve been searching through a sea of “meeehhh” products, TRY THIS! Trust me, it looks like every other cleanser but it honestly makes my skin look like i’m using 1000 products. I’ve never received compliments on my skin until I started using this product. « less" - Sephora user

Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser by cosrx

"WHATS UP! so i've been using this cleaner for about 3 days, which i know isn't a lot of time to be giving out 5 star reviews here BUT i saw results after the 1st 24 hours. i had small acne bumps on my forehead and my Nose, JEEZ my nose was full of marks and it was red and bumpy all throughout, i used the cleanser which smells like tea tree like 100% that is the only smell you get from this product. i thought my skin wouldn't like it because my skin is sensitive, but after washing the next fay almost all of the bumps were gone off my nose and my forehead was clear as well! The gel does not foam much very much, I say you want to gentle wash your face with some Luke warm water and pat drying, but still leave a little bit of water on your face, jut not enough to where its dripping. Then you can put the cleanser in your hand and i usually use about a full index finger length maybe a lil more if i need it. It does not foam up, like the gel just turns white and feels like white gel, WHICH IT IS. I normally scrub for 1 minute to a minute 30, then rinse with luke warm water. IT completely washes out with not dry or tight feeling whatsoever. It DOEs foam up when you wash it out with water but like its like bath tub bubbles where its very light and isn't a big deal, be sure to really wash with water and like the water glide on your face, DO NOT RUB YOUR FACE PLS, just let the water run over and do that for like 8-15 times to make sure all the cleanser is off. Your face will be bright, and just look very nourished after using. Overall the application is very easy and the use of it leads to results. when i got this in the tub is a lot bigger than i expected like i didn't think id get that much cleanser for the price. And i am 16 years old , and my skin is oily/combo. 100% recommend for you to all go out there and try. BYEEE! Less" - sokoglam.com user

Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask by Neutrogena

"I have been using this Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask with 3.5% Benzoyl Peroxide for the past year. I am in my late twenties and have more trouble with acne now than I did as a teenage girl. I have tried many products over the past 3 years and this is the only cleanser that truly works. I have oily, sensitive skin and many other products cause irritation, make my acne worse or make my pores produce more oil. In the past, I have tried numerous other Neutrogena cleansers but none of them cleared my acne and some created worse breakouts. This cleanser with 3.5% Benzoyl Peroxide is amazing! It is also great to use as a mask. I will keep it on for about 5 minutes, rinse and then I am oil-free for a few days. And for me, that's awesome! I like the ingredients that are in this product. I have found throughout the years that I cannot use products with Cocamidopropyl Betaine because it causes me more acne. Almost all cleansers now use Cocamidopropyl Betaine. So I was thrilled when I found this cleanser because it does not contain Cocamidopropyl Betaine. I found that I have an allergic reaction and breakout bad to most products containing coconut-based ingredients. But the Sodium Methyl Cocyl Taurate in this product does not cause additional breakouts for me. All of the ingredients in this product agree with my skin and help keep my skin clear of acne. Bentonite and Kaolin have absorbent properties that are helpful for people with oily skin. So this works well for me. I have not been able to find this Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask with 3.5% Benzoyl Peroxide in any store in over a month. In the past 2 weeks since I ran out, I have already begun breaking out bad. I started using a different Neutrogena facial cleanser, but it just isn't keeping me clear. This is the worst my acne has been in a long time. It is so hard to find a good product with a low percent of Benzoyl Peroxide. Products with 5% Benzoyl Peroxide or higher irritate my skin and cause a long-term redness, not to mention it gets sore and flakes. Benzoyl Peroxide has the ability to penetrate into the hair follicle to reach the bacteria that cause the acne and then kills the bacteria. A great factor of Benzoyl Peroxide is that it doesn't become resistant to bacteria as some topical antibiotic prescriptions do. I know because I have been to dermatologists and tried some that are out there. I felt like the prescriptions never worked because I never saw results – not like the ones I get with this cleanser. Salicylic acid does not have anti-bacterial properties like Benzoyl Peroxide. All it does for me is create more oil. Then with increased oil production leads to more acne. If this item is discontinued, then I will be very disappointed in Neutrogena and will have to find a different brand to start using. Don't make me go to that auto-delivery company as seen on tv or the web! At least consider replacing it with something that has the same active ingredient, with 3.5% Benzoyl Peroxide, and no Cocamidopropyl Betaine." - walmart user

The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser by Tatcha

"For the past year or so my skin was going through some major issues. Eliminating product after product in my skin care routine became exhausting. I was sensitive to nearly everything. I have never experienced this issue before so after trying countless skin care routines, I gave up and was about to book an appointment to the dermatologist. I thought maybe I had a fungal or yeast infection of the skin. Ive always had slight rosacea on my cheeks - but for the past year or so my skin was extra red. My forehead was itchy, flaky, textured, covered in clogged pores and overall appeared very dehydrated. I strolled into Sephora hoping to find yet another new face wash to try, when I found this one. I was not expecting much due to the fact that I had tried nearly everything. Washing my face was a dreadful task because everything made my face itch, burn, turn bright red and extremely tight. I went home and used this product for the first time and was amazed. For the first time in about a year, my face wasn't irritated after a wash. My skin had never felt softer and smoother. I continued using this wash for a week when I began seeing extreme improvements in my skin. Overall, my redness had extremely diminished, my rough patches were gone, clogged pores on forehead were clearing up, and my complexion was brighter and softer than ever before. My combo oily skin finally felt refreshed after washing my face. No longer tight, dry and uncomfortable. Keep in mind I use this product along with the Tatcha Water Cream. This has done wonders for my skin. I've truly never been more pleased by a product. If you are experiencing any skin issues, please give this a try. « less" - Sephora user

Pro-X Exfoliating Renewal Cleanser by Olay

"I first tried the Olay Pro-X Exfoliating Cleanser when the sample size came with my Olay Cleansing System. I knew after using it for one day that I would need to purchase a bigger bottle, and I did. It is a soft and creamy gel with just enough exfoliating granules to clean my skin without being too rough. My skin feels cleaner and softer and looks brighter. After using it one time I could feel a difference in my skin. My wrinkles and pores are not as visible and my skin looks and feels clean and bright. I started out using it in the A.M. and the P.M., but now I use it in the morning to prepare my skin for makeup. It is well worth the price for great looking skin. " - walmart.com user

Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel by Clinique

"I bought this set for my partner and I 2 months ago. We are both 25. REVIEW 1: He works in a kitchen (lots of oil and grease in the air), his skin frequently breaks out in larger pimples & blackheads and gets oily enough to be shiny. His skin is like this in Winter as well as Summer, though in Summer the breakouts and shine are worse. The Anti Blemish regime didn't visibly dry out his skin and make it flaky, or dry it out where it looks fine but feels uncomfortable and tight. It really helped get rid of existing blemishes while preventing new ones. He has broken out in a few new pimples due to stress but has not developed any blackheads, which I would say is a good sign that this regime is working. He currently uses this twice a day (once in the morning before work, once when he gets home in the afternoon) but will bump it up to 3 times. Between showering in the afternoon and going to bed at night, his face gets shiny again. We are hoping that cleansing a third time will completely eliminate the pimples. REVIEW 2: I work in an office (dry air conditioned atmosphere), my skin infrequently breaks out in smaller pimples & blackheads and doesn't get oily enough to be shiny. My skin is dryer in Winter (not dry enough to get flaky) and I have less breakouts. In Summer the breakouts are worse but there is still no shine. The AB regime visibly dried out my skin and make it very uncomfortable and flaky. I'm certain this was more to do with the toner rather than the cleanser and moisturiser. In week 2 I started layering another moisturiser on top but my skin was still really dry. In week 3, I bought a trial skincare pack for skin type 2 (dry combination). I had been using the mild liquid facial soap and toner type 2, but found the Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion too heavy and have returned to the AB moisturiser. I continued to break out in small pimples while using the milder cleanser, but the toner felt great and didn't dry out my skin like the AB toner did. I have since gone back to the AB cleanser. My current regime is AB cleanser, type 2 toner and AB moisturiser. I have stopped breaking out and my skin is no longer uncomfortably dry and visibly flaky. SUMMARY: If your skin is oily enough to get shiny, use the 3 step Anti Blemish regime. If your skin is dryer in Winter, oiler in Summer, and year-round doesn't get shiny, use step 1 and 3 of the AB regime and use a milder toner. « less" - ProductReview.com.au user

Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser by Glow Recipe

"Love this new addition to the Glow Recipe family! It is the only balm I have heard so far that is not formulated with Polyethylene Glycols (PEGs), which is commonly used in cosmetics to give it its thick texture, but unfortunately can cause irritation to the skin and eyes. I’ve had really bad experiences with PEGs, breaking out in red rashes across my face, so I was so happy when they launched this. After first use, my face felt silky smooth and thoroughly cleaned with no greasy film or residue and I was confident enough to open my eyes and was pleasantly surprised there was NO burning feeling! The clean and natural scent allows me to enjoy a nice massage session with this balm, the co-founder Christine suggests using it for Gua Sha as well. It is highly recommended to double cleanse with a water based cleanser after, especially if you wore make up or sunscreen. However, my skin is on the drier side and felt like I didn’t even need to double cleanse since it emulsified so well. I have been recommending this to my friends and they purchased it as well! Glow Recipe nailed the formulation for this balm, so so amazed. 10/10" - sephora user

Alpha Beta Pore Perfecting Cleansing Gel by dr dennis gross

"I got this as a sample in a set of Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peels (which I absolutely love) and was a little hesitant to try it. My combination and acne prone skin is really sensitive and I have exclusively used Philosophy Purity for more than 5 years and it has worked great for me. Anything too harsh causes redness, peeling, irritation and even worse breakouts.Since I love Dennis Gross' other products so much I gave it a shot and have since bought a full sized bottle and banished my Purity into the medicine cabinet. This stuff works amazingly. It has no soap in it so it doesn't really foam up and it feels almost gel-ish on your face. I put it in my hands and work it in gentle circles on my face for a couple minutes. It makes my skin sooooo soft and almost plumps my skin up. It also does a lot when my skin decides to break out into tiny bumps and blackheads, almost like a super gentle exfoliant (which Purity just didn't do for me). Could not be happier with this. Also does a pretty good job of removing makeup -- although good luck with Too Faced Better Than Sex, that's not going anywhere without remover ;) « less" - Sephora user

Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin by La Roche-Posay

"Wow this cleanser is amazing! I've never had acne before, only the occasional break out/pimple when its that time of the month. I turn 24 this year and all of a sudden my skin started to break out under my eye brows and a few days later I got acne on my cheeks.. I didn't change anything in my skincare routine, if anything I thought it was an allergic reaction to food so I took benadryl for 2 nights, it didn't work. Then I used 10% benzoyl peroxide gel for 2 days.. it didn't really do much.. if anything my skin got worse. My last resort was to go see my MD. I looked up so many cleansers/scrubs/etc and this one in particular stood out to me and the reviews r amazing. for $15 why not? I started using it in the morning & right before bed. After just 1 wash, my acne lightened. It did dry out my face the first few times using it but not to a point where my face was stiff/uncomfortable. I used Vitamin C Serum after.I do have oily skin, so hours after using this my face got oily (which is normal) I would say introduce this cleanser to your skin routine slowly.. maybe using it once every other day. I wouldn't recommend this product to people who already have dry skin.. if so just use it once every 2-3 days. This product cleared up my acne in 5 days! I was so happy!!! My skin started to peel 2 days after using it. I now use this product every other day (just to keep the acne away), Im so happy with my purchase :) Less" - Target user

Sebium Foaming Gel by Bioderma

"I purchased this product along with the Bioderma Sebium H2O - Micelle Solution, Hydra - Moisturising Replenishing Care, AKN Fluid - Smoothing Purifying Care, Pore Refiner - Corrective Concentrate about a month ago. (I've left reviews on the other products I bought too if you'd like to get a feel for the 'range'). I'm 26 and have very spotty and oily skin; this range has been fantastic. I've seen a huge difference in my skin in just a few weeks, and other people have been noticing too!The gel does what it says on the tin really. Smells nice, leaves skin feeling clean and fresh but not stripped and tight. I use this in the morning in the shower before anything else, super easy to use. It looks like it'll last quite a while too as you only need one 'pump' per wash.Would really recommend this, along with the other things I've mentioned above, for people who have oily/combination skin and are prone to spots. « less" - Escentual user

Purity Made Simple Facial Cleansing Gel & Eye Makeup Remover by philosophy

"My story is a little different from the others. I am terribly allergic to Purity Made Simple in the bottle. I tried using it twice, two years apart...not breakouts, but red horribly itchy bumps; trips to dermatologist...definitely allergy. I called Philosophy because I was really disappointed. The customer service tech was fantastic and recommended Purity in the Tube, saying this product is more HYPO ALLERGENIC..that did it for me. She did mention that it is suggested for oily skin but not ONLY oily skin. Well, long story short, I am 69...ugh, have normal to sometimes dry, sometimes oily skin and have used this product for over 3 years and love it. I use a Clarisonic about 3 times a week. This product has NO PARABENS OR OTHER ALLERGENS. I suggest you read the ingredients in the OTHER product...unless they have revised it. LOVE PURITY MADE SIMPLE IN THE TUBE !! « less" - QVC user

Purifying Gel Cleanser by Derma E

"This is a facial cleanser that feels very soft when applying it to your face. It is super gentle and cleans very well. It does not leave residue behind. I use a brush or cloth, create a light lather, and lather away in a circular motion throughout my face. It is like a mini massage for my face. My skin feels soft after washing with this. This cleanser is filled with so much healthy goodness like activated charcoal, marine algae, aloe, and green tea; therefore, it is high in antioxidants, minerals, potassium, and magnesium. All of this is healthy and good for the skin. It helps to nourish and hydrate while fighting off toxins and impurities. It balances your skin's pH, too! That is pretty cool! Many cleansing products that are out on the market are more alkaline, so the skin is not pH balanced. This is a concern for me because this is what contributes to the dehydration of my skin, among other things. This product is balanced; therefore, my skin is balanced. As you can imagine, I will continue using this. I do recommend it. It is a great product overall. For it to be a normal-to-oily skincare product, it works good on dry skin, too. I have combination skin and am prone to breakouts. After using this product for a while now, my skin feels fine! « less" - dermae.com user

Clear Cell Salicylic Gel Cleanser by Image Skincare

"I used to use this cleanser to help keep my breakouts at bay, and boy did it do the job. The entire Clear Cell line is amazing, and the only acne products that ever delivered on clearing my breakouts and keeping them under control. I don’t use it anymore because my skin settled down, but I ordered some for my 15 year old son who is starting to get some teenager breakouts; it’s definitely helping keep his skin under control as well. As with any acne product that contains salicylic acid or benzyl peroxide, you will likely see a little bit of drying, but it’s not overly drying and is actually pretty soothing to inflamed skin; any drying you experience should resolve fairly quickly, and if you add the mattifying moisturizer to your routine, you may not experience any at all. " - laladaisy.com user

Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Cleansing Gelee/Refiner by Estée Lauder

"I've tried a variety of cleansers over the years; and I have to say that is cleanser is the best one yet. It's slightly creamy at first when squeezed out of the tube. However, once you rub the cleanser between your hands, it foams up into a nice airy soap. And when you rub it on your face & neck area, it's wonderfully smooth, light, & gentle. After rinsing it thoroughly, your face feels so (squeaky) clean, which is great. My face tends to be a bit on oily side & this cleanser is perfect for cleaning my face thoroughly. Plus it doesn't leave any residue whatsoever. You can use a face towel with this cleanser to clean your face; but honestly it's really not necessary. Just a gently rub with your hands to apply the cleanser, then quick rinse, & that's it. I absolutely love this cleanser! I can't say if it would work well for dryer skin types; but I would definitely recommend it for people with oily skin. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Macy's user

Positively Radiant Micellar Gel Cleanser by Aveeno

"I was very impressed how Aveeno Positively Radiant leaves skin moisturized! While rinsing off, it feels like one of those "in shower" lotions or like rinsing off hair conditioner. But what is the best of all is that the effect is quite long lasting. I noticed that amazing moisturizing effect on my hands as they are always very dry from all the housework. I use lotions all the time, but it really helps only for a minute after I just applied it. I was so surprised to wake up in the morning after the first time I used the Aveeno Cleanser with soft hands that didn't feel like Sahara desert. My face though has oily skin in T-zone and this cleanser does a great job removing the oil and leaving my face matte for long time, moisturizing my dry cheeks. The scent is soft and fresh, green-ish, like spring leaves or something like that. It reminded me a scent of a facewash I had in college long time ago, it brings out such sweet memories) #gotitfree #hometesterclub #aveenopositivelyradiant [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]" - walmart user

Pure Melt Cleansing Gel by Clarins

"I have been using this for over a year and I love it. I have very classic combination skin with dry cheeks and congested jawline/chin area that often comes up in angry spots. This cleanser is really gentle and deals with both areas without leaving my face dry or tight which I have experienced with other cleansers. A 5 pence piece-sized blob is enough for me to do the the whole face, as it melts on contact and spreads really easily, my last tube lasted 6 months and I used it daily. For that reason it actually works out really good value for money despite seeming pricey at first. This is a repeat purchase for me and one of my favourite beauty products. " - feelunique.com user

The Alpha Beta Effect Set by dr dennis gross

"This past year I moved into a new apartment where the water was so hard and minerally it reacted with every cleanser and clogged my pores. I had also recently ran out of medication for my acne and my face had turned into a bumpy inflamed mess with lots of closed comedones that I couldn’t get rid of. I was able to get back on my medication which helped with the active pimples but I still had all these closed comedones under skin on my chin. I tried so many face washes but they all just reacted with the water and caused more clogged pores. So I looked up cleansers to use with hard water and this one came up on a website so I read some reviews and decided to take a chance and buy the small version as I’m really hesitant to spend a lot of money on stuff like this. I used it for a week and decided to splurge on the big bottle cause it was the only thing that worked to get rid of my clogged pores. The only thing is that it causes the closed comedones to become white heads which I can then pop and then they scab up and heal but after all that the pore is clear and it just makes me so happy cause I was at a loss for so long. It’s really worth the money and has helped me so much! Less" - Sephora user

SEA Deep Dive Cleansing Gel by Tarte

"i have combination skin and my acne had gotten very bad due to stress, sports, and using harsh products that caused me to breakout. I tried many expensive products but they only irritated my skin more. I received the travel size cleanser as a gift and i had to buy it again because it almost immediately cleared my skin and gave me radiant and dewy skin. I highly recommend it because my skin becomes immediately smoother after one wash, and you can feel the deep clean. It is such a great, gentle cleanser and it also reduces the appearance of black heads. However, sometimes it dries out my skin so use a moisturizing cleanser (cetaphil) once or twice a week, but I 100% recommend this product. " - Sephora user
