Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation by MAC

"After purchasing this product I can say that I am a loyal MAC customer here on out. I have always had SUCH a difficult time matching my correct foundation, and the girl at the MAC Counter helped me with ease - I'm an NC 20. I typically need full coverage unless I am having a "good skin" day, and I bought this with the Studio Finish Concealer with SPF 35 so that I would have maximum coverage with a natural, non-cakey finish. After years of wearing liquid foundation, I discovered Mineral Foundation - which is essentially a powder form of foundation. I have very dry skin but I can't stand the hassle that comes along with applying liquids. I was in LOVE with Sheer Cover Mineral Foundation but I have redness on my cheeks that I am very self conscious about - and though it is a good product, I still want more coverage. So this fall I took a chance with MAC. I tried out that Studio Fix Fluid - and I HATED it. Yes, it had AMAZING coverage but it broke me out SO BAD. I literally went from clear skin to 6 huge pimples in 2 days. I was devastated, and returned to mineral make up since it wouldn't clog my pores like the foundation did. Then I heard about the POWDER form of Studio Fix! I did endless research - until I was convinced and heard it let your skin "breathe" while providing maximum coverage - exactly what I'm looking for. Even though this is recommended for oily skin, I have dry skin but am still prone to breakouts. I find if I moisturize my skin is fine with this product and it doesn't look patchy. I cannot say how much I love this stuff. I am very picky with my products, and this is VERY build-able foundation. It's also so quick and easy. No more hassle with blending in liquid foundation or loose mineral foundations! I apply this with a kabuki brush and it looks flawless. I find that it does look a little "powdery" but I use my fix plus and it looks WONDERFUL and instantly takes away the powdery look if I accidentally apply too much. I don't know what else to say...TRY IT! You won't be disappointed. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-7514454166144838250-full" data-show="-7514454166144838250-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Macy's user

4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 15 by pür

"One makeup product I do not leave the house without applying has always been a foundation. My skin is not flawless and wearing the right foundation gives me the confidence to face the world. I have been switching between two liquid foundations (one high end and one drugstore) for the past couple of years and love the medium to full coverage that they give me. Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Mineral Foundation is the first pressed foundation that I have tried and I am pleasantly surprised with the results. It glides on smoothly and evenly, providing a buildable medium coverage without looking and feeling cakey. Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Foundation is super lightweight, creates a beautiful natural finish and it feels like I am not wearing anything. I am happy that it doesn`t break me out and it makes my skin even and healthy-looking. It takes literally a minute to apply it with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, it is not messy and I love that it has SPF15. This pressed foundation is my absolute must have and I already see myself using it a lot as my go-to product during the summer. It has a nice sturdy compact packaging with a mirror, which makes it perfect to carry in the purse and reapply as needed throughout the day. Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Foundation comes in eleven different shades and in case if you are wondering, I am using Blush Medium which is a great match and would also be good even when I get a little tanned in the summer. Overall Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Foundation would be perfect for anyone who want light to medium coverage foundation, that looks natural, doesn`t cake, is not messy and it takes less than a minute for application._________________________________I received this product complimentary for testing purposes. All opinions are my own and 100% honest. « less" - Pür Minerals user

PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation by Jane Iredale

"I wear this wet-dry pressed powder, spf 20 foundation in Golden Glow. For reference, my Bare Escentuals color match is Golden Medium. JI Golden Glow is lighter, and less yellow than the BE Golden Medium, and more beige/light tan than gold, but it's the closest BE to IE match for me. Riviera and Suntan are wonderful colors for medium skin tones as well, but the undertones seem more "neutral", while Golden Glow is definitely for "warm" skin. The Jane Iredale compact is just gorgeous, and using it makes me feel refined and elegant, (and I need all the help I can get...!) When I was a child, my mother, aunts, and grandmothers would carry their Estee Lauder powders (for their noses) in artistic, ornate compacts. JI's heavy, gold colored, high quality compact makes me remember how much I longed to wear makeup just because it was pretty and fun to touch. This compact is nice to carry around to use powder as needed, but I like best to apply it in the morning as an all-over face foundation, because it lasts so long I rarely need touch-ups until late in the day. Like most mineral makeups this adds a small bit of healthy "glow", but in this case, it really is a healthy glow; not glitter, which makes my pores look 80x worse than they look without makeup. Also, unlike other mineral foundations (especially pressed ones), this doesn't cake up too badly around my eyes. My need for a traditional "matte" foundation has faded due to glycolic and retinol treatments, and, of course, age, but if this powder had existed when I truly needed long-lasting, shine-free foundation, I think it would have been a dream-come-true. Compared to all the other brands of mineral powders I've tried, Jane Iredale pressed foundation is the silkiest, has the best coverage, has no glitter, has sunscreen protection, and performs the best around my eyes without making me look like I'm 80. (I have to be realistic, at 44. Powders are going to accentuate lines. It's just the way it is. But I choose the trade-off of the accentuation of a few lines in order to cover my pores, and even out that annoying melasma. As far as coverage, refining skin tone colors, and looking smooth, this is superior to every other pressed mineral foundation I've tried. If you're looking for a "skin-like", or "no-makeup" look, this foundation probably won't work well. It's very comfortable, and it doesn't scream, "MAKE-UP!", but, at least on me, nobody would mistake it for bare skin. This has medium coverage when applied with a brush, but it can easily work as a full coverage foundation if applied with a sponge or powder puff, or wet. The price seems utterly ridiculous, and it's the one thing that kept me from trying Jane Iredale products, for years. Now that I've been using many of her products, I do see why they get away with the high price. They are more highly pigmented, color concentrated, and elegant than many other mineral brands, and their colors seem closer to the colors of real human skin than lots of other makeup. « less" - Beauty.com user

Even Better Makeup Broad Spectrum by Clinique

"I'm mid 40s. Used to use FitMe foundation and Olay products. No fuss. Low maintenance. Skin started changing in the last few years. Texture, super oily/big pores, sun spots, break outs, etc. Started doing a lot of research and decided to completely change my skincare and makeup regimen and especially include sunscreen. Decided on this foundation based on good reviews, decent ingredients, SPF and Beautipedia gave it five stars :). People complain about products causing acne but it's probably not the foundation and more likely to be the skincare. I eliminated products with fragrance and silicones and changed to water based products and started using chemical exfoliants to help with cell renewal. The combination that has been working for my skin type is cleanser with no fragrance (I use Clinique) , oil free moisturizer (PTR), Coola tinted matte sunscreen SPF30, primer to fill in pores/T-zone, followed by this foundation and lastly set it with a translucent powder. Makes my skin look healthy. Not overly dewey or matte. No oil for hours. Maybe need to blot once a day. Huge difference from where I was before using the right line up of products. I've had no break outs. This foundation indeed color corrects itself. It does not oxidize if you prep skin properly. Out natural oils will oxidize any foundation if not prepped properly to keep oils at bay. It is not high coverage. It is just as indicated moderate coverage. It can be sheered out to a lighter coverage and it feels like skin. Not cakey or thick just creamy. The price point is perfect between drug store and higher end and worth trying for everyday wear. It doesn't last all day. Maybe 8 hours before it may start to fall around oily areas like the nose but it's so important how you prep the face prior to and to set it with powder after. One thing to note is the shades in the light/medium range are either very orange or very pink. I have just about every undertone possible yellow, olive, pink, warm and neutral and it's so difficult to find a color match. Don't be afraid to sample colors and to mix two if needed. I found that WN46 golden neutral and CN70 vanilla worked very nicely and were a good match for my light/medium skin. You just need a drop as a bit goes a very long way. Don't use too much as this was not meant to be built to full coverage or you will give yourself cake face for sure! I've learned it's best to stay on the lighter side of the color range if you're unsure and add color with bronzer if needed or else you will end up with an overly tanned orange face and that does not look pretty. Also look at the color in natural light not under the store lights. Lastly, make sure you wash all this product off before bed time! Clinique Take The Day Off and follow with a cleanser and good night time moisturizer. 👌Hope this info helps as finding the perfect foundation is a real and ongoing struggle for so many of us :) Less" - ulta.com user

Satin Matte Foundation by Alima Pure

"Gotta say it, I did not think I'd ever like a loose powder foundation. Liquids and creams look too heavy on me, I feel like people look at my makup and not at me because it looks so fake if I wear anything but powder. I've been using pressed powders for years and could never find a good match. The closest I've ever gotten was Clinique's Almost Powder in Fair. It was a decent match, but not spot on. I've started "cleaning out" my makeup bag, slowly replacing products that have questionable ingredients with ones that are more safe and natural and I ran across this brand in a blog somewhere if I remember right. I was apprehensive, I had always considered loose powders to be messy and lacking in the coverage department, but I gave it a shot and boy am I glad that I did. I went with Beige 1 because at the time I thought it was the closest match out of the four in my sample kit, but I'm questioning that right now. It isn't so off that it's highly noticeable, but I'm particular about having a foundation that matches my skin tone so next time I'll try something else. Their sample kits are wonderful and you get enough foundation in each sample to last you a few days, I just jumped the gun. Anyway, this powder is amazing. So light, but so buildable. I can go eight hours or more without needing to touch up the oil slick that forms on my nose/forehead with other foundations. By itself, I'll get a little shine but nothing that I'm concerned about, but paired with the Primer Powder the shine is barely noticeable. I don't find myself checking my makeup every time I pass a mirror now, more like looking on in awe at how good it still looks. This foundation is very easy to touch up at the end of the day if you're going out. It doesn't get the caked on look that I've experienced with other foundations when I try to touch them up. I have rather large pores on and around my nose and I don't feel that this settles into them or any lines unless I apply it too heavily, but if it does happen it will easily buff out. It gives you a natural, believable look and you won't even know that it's there. If the foundation alone can't cover a spot, give the concealer and/or one of the color balancing powders a go, they're marvelous too and great for spot covering so that you're not applying more foundation than necessary. Seriously, five stars aren't enough. * « less" - alimapure.com user

Amazing Base Loose Mineral Powder by Jane Iredale

"I've used Jane Iredale products since they first came on the market. I absoutely LOVE this line. The products I use the most are the mineral loose powder, blush, powdered eye shadow & eyeliners. I will never return to using liquid foundations. I've received sample sizes of other brands of mineral makeup & nothing compares to Jane Iredale. I'm hooked. The JI products I've tried provide great coverage without appearing like you put your makeup on with a trowel.. The products are long lasting (seldom need to refresh makeup during the day), the colors stay true after applying the product, no streaking, smearing/smudging & you will not leave traces of your makeup on clothing or anywhere else. Easy to remove at the end of the day & does not clog your pores. General overall appearance of my skin has improved since using JI. Throughout my life, my skin has been sensitive, oily & dry. I've never had a reaction to any JI product. Price is reasonable & products last for months. I use the products daily. I could be a self appointed spokesperson for the JI line. It is the best stuff I've ever used & I've been wearing makeup for-let's just say for many years. Do your self a favor & try any one of the Jane Iiredale products. You won't be disappointed. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Beauty.com user

Satin Cream Foundation by Glo Skin Beauty

"This formula is much better than the previous one from 2012-13, this foundation is so light on the skin, use it with a brush or a sponge (I'd stay away from fingertips), with a sponge you get more translucent coverage, with a brush medium coverage. The shine of my TZone is less through out the day and the coverage is not heavy or cakey. It dries rather quickly so blend fast with which ever tool you use. I use the Glo-Minerals finishing powder over it to reduce shine. Do research online for getting the right color, there is not a good source on this website. " - dermstore user

Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick by Lancôme

"I got this product for free to review (Product Review Club).I tried this foundation stick for 2 days before writing a review. I got the 250 Bisque (W) as a highlighter. It was almost close to my skin tone so the results of me using it as a highlighter was not as visible as I wanted it to be. I have use highlighting powder in the past and I would say that this foundation stick is much better. The application is so smooth and a little creamy. It blends really well. I have large pores and it filled up my pores nicely and not cakey at all. I always have problems by my cheek area. Any foundation or concealer I use no matter what primer I have on first, still gets cakey and creasy. This foundation blended nicely and gave me a nice coverage. I use a damp blending sponge and also used an angled liquid foundation brush and they both worked really well. I like using it now to highlight my brows.I would say it is a light to medium coverage but very buildable til you achieve full coverage you wanted. It also blended nicely with the finishing powder I was using. I love that it is oil free and has a matte finish. It is not a very matte finish. I'd say it's in between dewy and matte.. but like 70% matte just enough glow that it makes the finish looks really nice. The SPF is an added bonus! I should say too that it is not transfer proof or smudge proof.. it is TRANSFER and SMUDGE resistant.. meaning there will still be minimal transfer and it will still budge. It is very light weight. I don't even feel like I was wearing makeup. I will continue to use this and would probably get the shade closest to my skin tone as my base foundation and get a dark one for contouring once my contour cream is done. I love how small it is and you can just take anywhere with you. My makeup on day 1 trying this product lasted for a good 9 hours til I have to remove it. My work involves running around and cleaning and my makeup was still on til I got home.I guess it all depends on your skin type. This will probably not be good for oily skin. Oh yeah, it wasn't cakey at all on my dry spots and covered it up pretty well. I like how easy it is to use this product and just glides on my skin. The price may be a bit in a higher range but I think it's worth it. :)Thank you again ChickAdvisor for the nice opportunity. « less" - chickadvisor.com user

Perfectly Real Compact Makeup by Clinique

"I grew up with what most would gingerly refer to as, "problematic skin". Honey, my face's terrain was a red, rocky landscape that put the Rockies to shame. Mince garlic, not words, people.Years of dermatologic visits, beginning at the tender age of 8. Every single prescription pill, cream, gel, wash, and toner available on the market was thrown at me, short of Accutane. Understandably, my folks weren't too keen on the drug after seeing my oldest brother's miserable (and unsuccessful) experience.Needless to say, my pre-teen, teenage, and early 20's years contained The Quest for the Holy Compact. Name a brand and a product. I've tried it. Drugstore brands. As seen on TV. Magazine rave reviews. Dermatologist recommended. And of course, I tried everything that was recommended for my skin by various consultants from various companies (even Clinique, back around age 13). But my finicky skin rejected them all. Too dry. Too cakey. Turns my face into a mirror within an hour. Changes color after a couple hours. Makes my breakouts worse. Can't build up coverage. Not enough coverage. You get the picture. But then, at 18, I find this product. Cue angelic chorus bursting forth from parted clouds. It matched my skin perfectly (shade 114), banishing my uneven, blotchy redness with ease. Didn't change color through the day. Stayed put. A little more coverage here, a little less coverage there. Prevented shine without drying my skin out. It was ridiculously perfect. I cannot stress that enough. This Holy Compact--so innocent in its pleasant spring-mint packaging--contained the stunning conclusion to my quest.10 years later, here I am at 28, still faithfully carrying this precious product in my purse each day. Even if you discontinue this product, just know that it made a huge impact on the tumultuous and socially-ostracized adolescent life of one girl. Thank you. Less" - clinique.com.my user

Natural Loose Mineral Foundation by youngblood

"As a person who on and off struggled with acne since age 13, that has left my skin with scars, redness, and still blemish prone. The Youngblood Natural Mineral Loose Foundation hides all this, covers the dark circles under my eyes and smoothes my skin beyond recognition. Doesn't clog pores and feels natural. As my skin tends to be very oily I use a primer as base and a compact powder on top to keep the look lasting longer. This tames my skin and gives a flawless complection, without looking or feeling heavy. I still look like me, but a better me, and I feel great! Definetely would recommend for anyone, no matter the skin issue! " - lookfantastic.com user

Inner Light Mineral Dual Foundation by Aveda

"I would like to start by saying that since I have been using the tourmaline line makeup is truly not a necessity. I have been using the dual foundation for years, though, and I still love it so much I actually look forward to applying it every morning. Over time, I have developed a regimen that works like a miracle. I begin by washing my face with the tourmaline exfoliating cleanser and follow with the tourmaline radiance fluid, a touch of the tourmaline hydrating creme, and a lightweight sunscreen. This preparation perfectly hydrates, protects, and primes my skin. I first use a concealer brush to dab the dual foundation around my eyes and to cover any dark spots. I noticed some reviews on here that dissuade using a sponge for application, but I think the key is the type of sponge. I use an egg shaped sponge that hugs the contours of my face. I rinse it in warm water and thoroughly wring it out so it is just slightly damp. I pat the dual foundation gently onto my skin, building coverage as desired. I personally want something that evens skin tone without masking the natural glow the tourmaline products bring out in my skin. The dual foundation does just that. The result is radiant and flawless skin.I first tried this method one night before I went on a date. Over the course of dinner, my date kept mentioning how my face looked smoother than usual. It was funny to see him try to delicately tell me my skin always looked nice, but it looked especially lovely that night. I decided not to let him in on my little secret. « less" - aveda user

Pure Finish Mineral Powder Foundation by Elizabeth Arden

"This is a natural looking, sheer foundation. It's never cakey, dry, or irritating, and doesn't settle into pores. Good for older, sensitive complexions, it's moisturizing yet controls oil and shine. I'm fair and use the #2 shade, which disappears into my complexion perfectly when applied over a light BB cream. It has a built in twist and shave-type dispensor, and comes with a powder puff, though I prefer a brush for application. Reasonably priced, it lasts through about three months of daily use. Love it!" - Macy's user

UV Protective Stick Foundation Spf 37 by Shiseido

"I use the color stick when I swim/surf/dive/boating on/ in the ocean. Not sure if this ad is for clear or color, but I use the colored tone ochre one so I can see where I am putting it! And it stays on through vigorous activities!!! No joke, I even put a dab on our the top front of our sboards and can reapply from there if need be. The texture to me is medium, i dab it on then spread it once I've warmed up and it doesn't dry my skin out. I dont mind the scent as i'm not using it really for 'makeup'. I have to use sunscreen daily and I use this on top for water activities, I would not use this as makeup..... I am looking into the compact for even more coverage, but this stuff is the holy grail for anyone who likes to be in/ on the water and not get burned when the sun is out for 11+ hours a day ( aloha from Hawaii) « less" - Macy's user

Perfectionist Serum Compact Makeup by Estée Lauder

"I’m a fan of Perfectionist Serum and Liquid Foundation. This is a light mousse creamy powder, no brush needed. Application over SPF provides buildable light to medium coverage and natural finish. Sturdy compact has a good mirror and divider for the thick sponge. Perfect for travel, easy to apply. Smooth, hydrating, feels barely there. Color match is so close to my skin I can’t tell I’m wearing it, and it’s the same liquid foundation shade I switched over to (N to C). My skin can be dry or combination depending on humidity, but I’ve gotten flawless all day wear. I use a light touch of bronzer powder instead of setting powder. Perfect update to my routine. Purchased a second compact for my travel bag. Another innovative texture and product from EL." - Nordstrom user

Future Skin Foundation by chantecaille

"Ever since I was recommended this product by one of the lovely ladies at MECCA, I have been utterly in love with this phenomenal and life changing foundation. After using this product for a month, I have received SO many compliments (and still continue to do so!) which instantly bumped up my self-confidence and helped me to produce an inner glow and an outer one due to the sheer, natural dewiness this innovative product provides. Why should this be your 'holy grail' foundation? Well, once you've gently dipped your fingers into its gorgeous gel-creme texture, the foundation will instantly melt into your skin like a dream! This foundation cleverly adapts to your skin giving you the natural, healthy glow your skin deserves, without leaving you feeling oily, caked, or sticky. It gives a light to medium coverage that you can wear happily throughout the day and build-up if needed to for the evening.I was delighted to see that the ingredients contain water; meaning my foundation would be less likely to slip and slide off my face and onto my clothes, and it also helps stimulate hydration which is great for combatting the wintertime flakiness. Also, the Rosemary leaf extract is a powerful anti-oxidant, fighting off all the early stages of ageing and fellow nasties that we want to keep away from our skin!To sum it all up, this foundation is SUCH a revolutionary product, well worth the hype and price! A MUST for the Mecca beauty junkie, or anyone wanting to truly experience the future of makeup as it also is HD compatible. I recommend wearing this over Hourglass's Mineral Veil to boost the longevity of this luxurious foundation! Less" - mecca.com.au user

Face And Body Foundation by MAC

"This is the most natural looking foundation that i have ever used, which is why, i love it so much. As, i don't care to wear heavy, masky foundations on a regular basis anymore, as it just isn't best for my skin overall. If i do wear a full coverage foundation, it is for special occasions only now, otherwise, this is the only foundation that i wear on a regular basis at this time and definitely will continue to do so, as long as MAC keeps selling it. I like that it's lightweight, doesn't break me out or irritate my skin in any way, plus, it is very long-lasting, and i happen to live where the climate is hot and humid almost all year round, and it holds up through such. And, i don't experience this foundation transferring all over the place like alot of other foundations do, plus, i have gotten my face wet while wearing this foundation and it never budged. Even though the foundation does have a runny consistency to it, i do find it very easy to apply with a brush to my face, and i am able to layer it without any issues in order to get the level of coverage i desire. In regards to my skintype, during the Fall and Winter Seasons, my skin goes from being dry to very dry. And, during the Spring and Summer months, my skin is dry, combination. I also have acne prone skin, and i suffer with seborrheic dermatitis that happens to flare up just about any time during the year. I find this foundation to blend seamlessly into my skin wirhout there being any type of sharp contrast between the color on my face and the color on my neck and the rest of my body. As, somehow, the color that i wear in this foundation, C2 just works perfectly for my light-medium skintone. With this foundation, it has a very, faint citrus smell, that immediately goes away soon after application. So, this foundation does not have any strong or offensive odor to it at all. Now, before you apply this foundation to your face, it is very important that you shake it real well, because this foundation does slightly separate, due to its very unique formulation. However, after you give it a good shake, then the foundation is all good to go. And, unlike alot of other foundations that i have tried, this foundation doesn't oxidize on me at all. And, even though it is designed to provide a satin finish, i have not experienced any issues with this foundation making my face look super dewy or super shiny looking at all within a few hours or truly anytime at all during the day. It just leaves this very slight hint of dewiness to my face, which i like, because no one is born with a super matte looking face anyways. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - M·A·C user

The Makeup Stick Foundation by Shiseido

"Shiseido Stick Foundation is a real favorite of mine- love the ceamy, moisturising finish, blends very well, is buildable. Everytime I wear it I get a compliment from my husband- "You look nice today!" Very good selection of colors. In the winter I use B20 for my medium fair complexion, but I think I will try blending it with B40 when feeling a bit pale as another reviewer mentioned. It gives a soft, dewy finish, slightly matte, not at all shiny, just very natural. Very easy to apply- I use a makeup sponge to blend. Very lightly fragranced. And compared to some other high end makeup, reasonably priced. I have tried Bobbi Brown Stick, but found it to be less blendable and didn't like the color selection. Love Sisheido-they get it right!" - Nordstrom user

Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation by Shiseido

"I used MUFE's HD foundation for years! I didn't realize when I ordered a new bottle that the formula had been changed. It's still a good product, but wasn't giving me nearly the same amount of coverage as the old one had. I didn't know what to do! I bought 5 different top brand foundations after reading countless reviews on here and several articles! I saw people raving about this new foundation, so it was one of the ones I got. I fell in love! But, I waited for over 3 months before writing this review to make sure it was a lasting love! I'm currently on medication that is extremely drying to my skin, but I still had a little oil on my nose. I was having a hard time finding something that didn't show up the flakiness and oil! Then I tried this one! The first application had me sold! I didn't need the 5+ pumps from other brands to create a good coverage that looked natural! I'm actually impressed that it does blend with your actual skin tone as well! Now, on days when the winter air made my skin even more dry and nothing on earth would have covered that up, I found a small drop of my favorite facial oil made it perfectly smooth and it was still providing a flawlessly natural finish. For those who have said it was too matte, or perhaps showed dry patches... I beg you to try it again with a small drop of facial oil! You'll be in love too! It lasts all day without using a setting powder - for now I know that may be due to the medication drying my skin. But, I also had no problem with transfer...it didn't rub onto my husband's shirts when I hugged him! At 41, I actually don't have many wrinkles, but my laugh lines will show up a bit when I smile in picture. I must thank my mom for the lack of many fine lines and wrinkles though - she had me using an entire skin care regime at 13! An oil-control lotion rather than a moisturizer for my teen years, but it all taught me that taking care of your skin is very important! Oh, if we'd only known back in the 80's to use sunscreen...then I wouldn't be dealing with the small sunspots that have come up! However, this foundation has great coverage AND doesn't settle into any fine lines. I can't wear a primer that "instantly smoothes lines", as I break out with certain silicones. So, seeing this as something that didn't depend on a primer to keep it from showcasing any lines, HUGE PLUS!!! I can't believe that I'm saying this, but Shiseido, you may have outdone MUFE's original HD formula!! Looks great in photos, even with flash photography, but looks natural while covering all the flaws!!! I would HIGHLY recommend trying this out. You might be surprised and find you like it better than your "old faithful"!! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-2030157338847980809-full" data-show="-2030157338847980809-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Age Correcting Foundation Cushion SPF 25 by amorepacific

"For starters, I'm in my 30's, have combination skin and implement a regular morning and night time moisturizing routine. After trying all of the cushion compacts I could get my hands on, I've settled on the this Age Defying cushion compact and adore this formula. Normally Amore's age defying formulas are preferred for more mature skin, but I liked the finish and felt more hydrated after I cleansed this formula off (with cleansing oil) more than the other Amore cushion formula. You have the option of using the pad to press on the foundation if you need a deeper coverage or you can use a face brush (I use the BB Full Coverage face brush) to apply it in a lighter manner. The coverage is very even and does cover an acne scar or two rather easily. My complexion is olive tone and I wear the 208 color (I also wear 5.25 in BB for reference). With my old routine, I did set my foundation with powder, but I don't need to with this foundation. I also am a person that works up a sweat easily and I can comfortably sweat through this foundation on a humid-warm day outdoors with feeling like my foundation may melt off. I used to have to make touch ups/blots due to some oil coming to the surface on my foundation mid-day, but I don't anymore with this foundation. I'm really happy with this cushion foundation and would recommend this foundation. « less" - Nordstrom user

Healthy Mix Serum Foundation by Bourjois

"In the past I have used a range of different foundations from different brands, but never one from Boujois.I have most recently been using a BB cream because I like that it has a lighter coverage and that I can still see my freckles through it (more suitable for summer than my previous foundation from Revlon). However, I decided to try to go back to foundations as the BB cream I bought was making my skin very oily. Strange considering I have dry skin.I have dry skin and occasionally get flaky patches which usually my foundation would cake to, and it would be very obvious at the end of the day when most of the foundation had worn off except for these patches. Not a good look!I saw this foundation reviewed by Pixiewoo on their blog and another person on Youtube and so thought I would give it a try.I bought a real techniques stippling brush to apply it and I was amazed! It doesn't give a totally matte finish, has a sort of dewy look which is lovely and best of all, provides excellent coverage but still looks like it is my skin. I think I read someone said before that the effect is "my skin but better". I can barely feel any make up on my face and if i do touch my face it feels smooth and soft.I have very fair skin but I do tan/freckle slightly on my face and so I bought the second to lightest colour, Vanilla.I am so impressed with this product I am tempted to buy three more on the current offer. As many people have said, including the Pixiewoo ladies, this foundation feels like an extremely well known high end brand, but is a third of the cost! Excellent value for the quality of the product. Less" - boots.com user

Ceramide Lift and Firm Makeup SPF 15 by Elizabeth Arden

"It was time for a new foundation. I had been wearing, of late, Loreal Visible Lift which is a great foundation for the price. Before that I had worn Lancome and then Cover Girl Simply Ageless, my favorite of the group. But, I needed something for my dry skin and the these just did not cut it. I was prepared, even on my tight budget, to pay whatever necessary, to get the right, HG foundation for me. I was looking for a product with good anti-aging ingredients, super moisturizing, and mainly a product which would not settle into my wrinkles and had some luminescence to it. it could not be overly matte either because as we know, matte makes older skin look terrible. Had to have a glow to it but not look too shimmery. It had to feel 'right' to me also.I researched and researched. I came home from Sephora armed with samples of highly rated foundations; Hourglass, Makeup Forever, Laura Mercier, etc. I tried all the samples I brought home and one of them seemed almost right, but not quite. I realized I had to have a cream foundation to get the moisturizing I need. I found this foundation. I actually ordered it, guessing at my shade. I chose the warm sun beige. I am light blonde with green eyes and olive medium skin. I was concerned this shade would have orange to it but it did not . It is a wonderful beige shade. It does not look at all like the sample on the site. I am realizing although this shade will work just fine for the 'pale' look, I want a little more color and summer is coming on, so I am ordering a shade or two darker as well. I do wish the EA site would give a description of all their shades (like most on Sephora site), to make it easier to select one. As it is, it does not give a description and you cannot tell some of the light shades from the darker shades. Hope they fix that. I know they say to go into a local store and try it but for some of us, that is difficult to do. ANYWAY, about this foundation...it is so fabulous! I doubt I will ever wear anything else. It meets all my requirements. It looks so great on, like I am not wearing anything at all on my face! it smooths out imperfections, makes pores look smaller, not too matte looking, and has a slight luminescence to it. It has a gorgeous finish. Mostly... it is moisturizing! Terrific for dry skin. You will love this foundation if you have dry skin , especially.Don't forget to order the sponge applicator for this. It is super high quality. It is only 15.00 and worth every penny. Actually, you could use this for any cream or liquid foundation. Love it! « less" - elizabetharden.com user

Fresh Air Makeup Base by Estée Lauder

"I think spf in cosmetics causes me to break out and gives me milia so I try to avoid it whenever possible. I decided to try this foundation because it was one of the few I could find without spf. It still has the titanium dioxide which helps to shield the skin but does not have that heavy spf to it which I believe clogs my pores. The color of this foundation is beautiful. The linen beige is actually natural and not orange at all.Estee Lauder knows how to make natural skin tone shades. My skin feels so nice and smooth when Im wearing it also. Its very natural. Its not cakey or flaky which many cheap brands of foundation are. I think it seems to cover my pores better than some of the popular high end full coverage foundations I've tried. If I use alittle foundation primer first in the t zone area before applying this the pores disappear completely. I use a foundation brush to apply mine which really helps to blend it. Oh and it also washes off easily at the end of the day! Very important if you do not want to breakout.Overall Im very happy with my purchase and will be repurchasing most likely and discontinuing use of the other foundations I own. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="5183191712971304400-full" data-show="5183191712971304400-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Estée Lauder user

Ultra Foundation Pro by FACE Atelier

"This foundation has the perfect level of coverage and has a moist dewy finish that does not settle into fine lines and wrinkles. I use Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer with SPF 30 as my base moisturizer. I do not use loose or pressed powder and the make-up lasts all day! There is only one drawback - and it's very minor.....the pump take a very strong, firm finger to press it down. I would like to see a change in the level of difficulty in pressing the pump. I have to use my thumb to dispense a full measure of the product. :( Other that than, it's great! CRC is an excellent company and ships with speed and the product is packaged with excellence for no leaks or breakage. " - camerareadycosmetics.com user

Mineral Foundation - SPF 15 by Lily Lolo

"This is hands down the best foundation I have ever had, so much so that I threw away my collection of foundations the moment I tried it. It's great for everyday wear because it looks so natural even from up close. It does not crease around my mouth like majority of liquid foundations used to after few hours. I have a normal/combination skin type and it seems to work nicely on both my oily nose and chin as well as on my dry cheeks. I love that it has absolutely no scent which for some reason bothered me the most about other foundations. The coverage is buildable but it probably won't cover blemishes entirely without concealer. It can take a little more time to apply than liquid foundation as you have to buff well and use small amount at a time but it is definitely worth the extra 5 minutes. Less" - lookfantastic.com user

Absolue Makeup Cream Foundation by Lancôme

"Bought this after reading the reviews. Two weeks before, exchanged my Teint Idole Ultra Wear. The color of my last jar was darker (and got darker as the day went on). Exchanged for much lighter color. Really liked the Teint Idole. I am 69 with dry skin. Was not told about Absolue Makeup even though I asked what my options were. Read the reviews and gave it a try. Love this make up. It is light, but covers well. Looks more natural than other foundations and brightens my skin with a dewey finish. My face feels moisturized until it is removed. Will be buying this again and again. " - Lancôme user

Cushion Complexion 5-In-1 Skin Perfector Concealer With Turmeric by julep

"Julep 5-in-1 Cushion Complexion Skin Perfector with Turmeric I had the opportunity to test the new Julep Cushion Complexion Skin Perfecter for free via CrowdTap in exchange for my honest opinion. I was sent the 4 lightest shades to test: 100 Alabaster, 110 Porcelain, 130 Ivory, and 140 Buff. For reference, I am a Y225 in MUFE. Of those 4, Alabaster works well as a highlighting shade, and undereye concealer, and Ivory for facial concealing. Porcelain was too pink for my yellow-undertoned skin, and Buff was too dark. The formulation is very smooth. It glides over the skin, and blends out easily. It blends best with fingertips, or a silicone sponge. Feels very lightweight on the skin, and I had no irritation while wearing it. That is extremely important to me as I work to heal my skin. Julep claims this to be a medium to full coverage concealer. I was able to achieve full coverage under my eyes, but only medium to medium full on my acne, and hyperpigmentation. It is buildable though, and does so without getting cakey. I can easily see someone who's skin is a bit healthier than mine getting full coverage. Even though I still had some "flaws" showing, I still achieved enough coverage to venture out into the world wearing only concealer a couple of times. Because it doesn't cling to texture and dry patches it actually looked better than my foundation! Like most concealers, it is advisable to set with powder to avoid creasing. The applicator design is ingenious, sleek, and elegant. I like the thought that went into it, and it makes the product very convenient to carry with you for touch ups. I'm hoping that Julep will keep the design, but perhaps modify the applicator tip. It dispenses the product, but you can't effectively blend with the tip as it tends to streak. Overall, I'm delighted with this product. It has been my go-to since I received it, and has replaced my former concealer. This product is effective, comfortable, soothing, and sleek- all things I value in my beauty products! I will certainly be repurchasing the 5-in-1 Cushion Complexion once my samples are depleted. Thank you, Julep, for a wonderful product!" - ulta user

Perfection Lumière Velvet Smooth Effect Makeup by Chanel

"This is my new favorite foundation.About my skin: I have yellow/neutral combination skin with an oily t-zone. I don't have any dry patches, minimal fine lines, and mild rosiness. My skin is not prone to break outs. I like using light foundation to even out my skin tone and reduce the rosy tones in my skin. A natural finish is of utmost importance.I am pretty fair (although not the fairest of the fair) and I use this in 10 Beige. I'm also 10 Beige in Vitalumiere Aqua - the colors match up. This foundation provides light to medium coverage (I like wearing it sheer) and is not drying at all. "Velvet" is a perfect descriptor for the finish. It is not dewy, but not matte and flat either. It does not settle into lines and wears well throughout the day. When it fades, it does so evenly and not in patches. It's nice on its own, but i love wearing Le Blanc de Chanel as a base under it, and I set it on my t-zone with MAC MSF or all over the face with an Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder for a subtle glow.I love this more than Vitalumiere Aqua, which I'm going to relegate to winter use. I'm really looking forward to using this through the summer. If you have similar skin concerns to me, I don't think you'd regret this purchase. « less" - Nordstrom user

Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder SPF 15 by Chanel

"I am extremely happy with my Chanel Les Beiges compact purchase! I usually wear foundation and loose powder as a regular make up routine and use my compact only for touch up's throughout the day...but not lately! I was pressed for time one day didn't have time to do my usual make-up routine; so- I only used my Les Beiges compact powder on my face! OMG...I love it! I haven't been wearing my foundation as much (maybe on the weekends or date night)! It's light weight...feels like I have nothing on my face, yet has such a fresh blending finish and great coverage and healthy vibrant glow! I got many compliments on my natural glow! I am hooked! Almost Powder Makeup by Clinique

"I have been very lucky to have nice skin and even coloring so I have never worn foundation. I have usually just added a nice finish with power.I am very fair, have allergies, and sometimes just don't look as fresh and awake as I would prefer. I read Bobbi Brown's Book, and have seen her on TV and she talks about how important it is to brighten and even the skin tone around your eyes. She's says it's an instant face lift. Since I prefer not to wear a heavy concealer, I somehow ran across Clinique's Almost Powder and decided to give it a try.I ordered this in Neutral (#2) a week before a vacation. Initially the color was just slightly dark to provide a lightening and brightening to my eye area (although a good match for the rest of my face). Since I was on a beach vacation that was quickly remedied by a little tan. When I returned home, I ordered the #1 Fair and it is perfect for eye brightening and I blend the #2 on the rest of my face.I don't really like a lot of coverage (I don't want to look like I'm wearing foundation), so I apply it with a brush like Sephora's Pro Foundation Brush #47 and buff / smooth with the provided foam pad. I don't know how they accomplished this, but the Almost Powder provides moderate coverage without looking like foundation, it's just perfect! I have an age spot (sun damage) on one cheekbone, and it completely covers it, no concealer required!Because of the powder consistency of this makeup I have had great luck eliminating mascara smudging too! After I am done applying my eye makeup I take my foundation brush (without putting more makeup on the brush) and cleanup the 'fall-out' under my eyes. Using a shade lighter than my natural skin tone around my eyes gives me the perfect brightness to help me look awake and refreshed (without giving me the reverse raccoon look). The powder consistency reduces the texture of the moisturizer under my eyes to eliminate mascara smudging and makes your makeup application look flawless! LOVE IT!I want to add one more footnote - when I first received the Almost Powder, I thought it was too drying for my (then) 48 year old skin. Due to recent changes in my skin (age), four months ago I changed my entire skin care regime. Since then the change to my skin texture, moisture level, fine lines and breakouts is nothing less than remarkable and I now love the Almost Powder!! I am using Clinique's 1-2-3 program daily. Happily, my skin seems to be back to its previous more youthful condition and the Almost Powder sits beautifully on my properly hydrated skin. Less" - Sephora user

Liquid Mineral Foundation by youngblood

"This foundation is incredible. I don't usually like to wear liquid foundation on my face because by the end of the day it feels heavy. It may sound strange but my face feels dirty and I can't wait to wash my face to get it off. Not the case with this foundation! Though I was using a decent liquid mineral foundation from Arbonne, it did not hydrate my skin like the Youngblood foundation does. My skin feels very hydrated and smooth. Although I don't make a habit of it, I have gone to bed a few times without washing my face with this foundation on and I haven't had clogged pores or breakouts. This is the best foundation I have ever used! " - BeautyBridge.com user

Dream Cushion Fresh Face Liquid Foundation by Maybelline

"I received this for free for testing purposes, but all opinions are my own! I am honestly so happy that I received this in a VoxBox because I was planning on purchasing it anyway. I am a huge fan of Maybelline and have been wanting to try out cushion foundation for a while. THIS PRODUCT IS AMAZING. At first, I didn't really like the applicator that it comes with, but now that I've used it for a little, I understand that it really is the best way to apply the foundation. Instead of just patting it on the face (which can leave the mark of the applicator), I like to use a patting and almost rolling motion to use it. After using it that way, application was flawless. Typically, I've been using a damp beauty sponge too, to get in the harder to reach spots like near my nose and eyes. I would say it gives medium coverage, but you can easily build it up to full coverage and it still looks so natural and beautiful. I hate foundations that look cakey and like makeup! This one is so different because it lets your skin shine through and really just makes it look like your skin, but better! It gives a natural finish, definitely not too dewey like other cushion foundations, but not matte. I am using shade 20 in Classic Ivory and topped it with my Fit Me concealer in Light, which blended into the foundation like a dream. My favorite part about this foundation is how it feels because it feels like you have nothing on your skin, even to the touch! It is so light, but gives coverage! It could be used for everyday or built up for a night out, and is so easy to travel with! This is the best foundation and I highly, highly recommend it! Proscenium Series Creme Foundation by Ben Nye

"I got this as a gift with a Beauty Blender and I used it right away on my brushes (which I had used for 1 years without being washed [super bad, but I didn't know to wash them back then]) and this little bar got ALL of my caked and dried in makeup on all of my face and eye brushes! It's super easy to use, just wet the brush, swipe across the bar, and rinse. I like that you can see it working too, after you swipe the brush on the bar, you can see the soap grab the makeup and it makes a "sludge" on the bristles, so then you just rinse that off and see such a difference! Of course it works fantastic on sponges too, but even after I stopped using a Beauty Blender I keep buying it just for my brushes because it's so amazing! It leaves my tools with a fresh, clean scent that I like as well! I use 7-10 Real Techniques brushes and clean them about once a week (or after using different colors/heavy use for special occasions) and one bar lasts about 3 months for me. I use the expert face brush from Real Techniques for my foundation and occasionally have to clean it twice before all the makeup is off, but the same goes for heavily pigmented colors on my other brushes, but I believe it's only because I really pack on color and would be fixed if I cleaned them immediately after use instead of continuing use and letting them sit a few days. The solid is also PERFECT for travel! Truthfully it's the only brush/sponge cleaner that I've ever used, but it works so well that I highly recommend it to my friends and family (my sister is a regular user of it too now!)! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-3071783775664862256-full" data-show="-3071783775664862256-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint by Chanel

"This is very lightweight and goes on very smoothly. I find with this particular coverage you will need to work fast to rub it in as it dries quickly. This might cause streaking. I have very oily skin and surprisingly I think this is the best coverage I've ever used for it. It seems to dry up alot if the oil but doesn't leave me feeling dry or cause any dry patches afterwards. Definitely worth the money. I usually wear a light to medium coverage but had to go medium with this. I also had an Nordstrom's associate to match me in the store so that was helpful. The associate also matched it with a primer but I think it works best without primer. The primer seem to just lay on the skin and keep the fresh water tint adhering to the skin. If using the fresh water tint alone it attaches to the skin and stays put even on oily skin. Not really sure this is good anti aging but I'll sometimes switch between this and the other brand of foundation which is anti aging just so I still have that benefit. Less" - Nordstrom user

True Skin Serum Foundation by ilia

"This foundation... oh my god. I was kind of hesitant paying such a heavy price tag for a product with no reviews and something I had not heard of but — you get what you pay for!So okay I have dry skin— sometimes I have patches depending on if I’ve over-exfoliated.Today I had a little boop-boop here and there and even ended up with a little facial bruising! Which—IMO was perfect for foundation testing if you ask me!I came home to this little gem waiting for me on the porch! (Come through flash overnight! ::Napoleon Dynamite upside down fist pump!::Between this foundation and the new LM concealer I’m freaking golden! Literally!(That came with today’s haul too and omg! Win!)It covered up the pin holes, bruising and didn’t cling to dry patches! It dried down (on me) to a really beautiful glowy not sweaty looking sheen! I was so shocked and in love I had to stop and boomerang to send it to my IMUDS so she could see for herself!I’ve been wearing it about 7 hours now; no touch ups and gym time later —and it’s like I just applied it! It hasn’t settled into lines, and still beautiful! It’s not full coverage by any means but it does cover up imperfections! Buildable for sure. I used a brush and went over that with a B.B.The other thing I want to mention is the shade. I have always had to mix more than one shade. I’m an odd mix of a Cherokee mom and Italian dad! I can never get a straight answer about my undertone — and I’ve been told “you’re like a dark light medium but not”. Okay thanks. So excited I was to be able to use just one shade! As of right now the only thing that can possibly turn me off about this product is if it breaks me out! (I am hesitant to write super review on a product I’ve only worn once tho.) Fingers crossed it doesn’t. If not — I’m going with “this is the best medium coverage foundation ive ever used!” I would absolutely recommend this to anyone that wants medium coverage buildable glow-worthy skin! « less" - Sephora user

Foundation Powder by Laura Mercier

"This is the best powder foundation out there!! Please don't discontinue!! I have search for years and hundreds of dollars lost on expensive brands seeking the best powder foundation / foundation out there to achieve that natural looking gorgeous skin and with no success I had to settle for powdery, cakey, and flakey looking skin until I discovered this amazing and effective product! This truly is a staple gem in your cosmetic line. It would really be a huge devastating lost to your devoted clientele if this were to be discontinued. I have tried your new "replacement" smooth powder foundation and although it goes on smoothly as it states and does cover imperfections after awhile the quality of the product is lost. As previous reviews have stated the new powder foundation product does not support or hold up to the fact that it controls oil and shine after an hour my skin looked like a hot mess of oil, and the product itself does oxidize changing the persons skin color looking like they're more for halloween instead of a full work day or even going out for the evening. I can't begin to tell you how my skin felt when wearing the new replacement. I felt like I had 10 pounds of powder foundation. It did look cakey and powdery and my skin felt suffercated and irritated from the new replacement not to mention I broke out badly in cystic acne on my forehead, chin, jawline, etc. It took my face almost 2 weeks of recovering. My face looked like a war was going on. Wow never again!!! I have light olive skin and through out my teens and adult life I've been dealing with cystic acne periodically and the new product truly made my cystic acne errupt. In climate change my skin goes from combination oily to combination dry. This product has completely changed my life. I never thought I could have beautiful amazing glowing skin were the product color looks like your second skin no powdery, cakey, and flakey skin just natural and my acne is completely covered making me look like I have flawless perfect skin. I started with this product not realizing that this would be the beginning of me being an avid devoted fan of all your product line. I have been completely converted and have changed over to using only Laura Mercier products. I own almost every product in your cosmetic line from every makeup color right down to your makeup brushes and skin care. I have it all. I'm in love and obsessed with how naturally stunning I look when I wear your cosmetic line. I've never before received so many compliments of how beautiful I look until I started using and wearing your makeup line. Please don't discontinue this product!!! This has become my holy grail ever since I discovered your powder foundation.I can't live without this!! and I don't want to look less than stunning. This powder foundation makes me look flawless and stunning and it does live up to what it states. Give us the option you won't lose revenue with this product. We are too many devotees to this product. « less" - lauramercier.com user

Lingerie De Peau Natural Perfection Foundation SPF 20 by Guerlain

"I have tried a wide variety of high end foundations in my day. This foundation changed my makeup game. I will start off with the only two downfalls of this foundation, the colour range and the cost. I am pale, but not extremely, and so lucky that the lightest shade of this foundation matches my skin perfectly. This foundation is NOT full coverage, but has light-medium coverage that can be built up. I would not recommend buying this if you are looking for a more full coverage foundation as you will just end up using the foundation too quickly to justify the price. I am lucky to have clear skin and just need to cover up a little redness/even out my skin tone. I use about 1/2-1 pump daily and I expect it to last me around 10 months- a year. I unfortunately cant see the remaining amount, but its been going strong for over 8 months now, so its high price tag doesn't bother me. I love this product so much that I already have a back up, my first time repeat buying a foundation and I wont be trying any other formulas as long as this is around. Now for the many many pros. I can use this foundation in the same shade all year round, since it is not too heavy I feel like it easily blends in with my skin tone- even when I am darker with a tan it still matches perfectly. I get a medium coverage from this foundation by buffing it in with a foundation brush in the winter to cover any redness, then during summer with a tan & more even skin tone It can be applied with a beauty blender for lighter coverage & a more sheer look. This foundation does not oxidize, crease, dry out, become greasy looking or separate on my face all day. I am lucky to have a normal skin type, more on the slightly oily side if anything and I do not need to blot or re-apply all day if my makeup is properly set (not sure if this would be the same in the case of a more oily skin complexion). In the winter this foundation does not stick to the odd dry patch I have, and I have heard that this foundation also works amazingly for people with extreamly dry skin. The people saying that this foundation is not long lasting probably just aren't prepping/setting their faces right, because this foundation lasts on my face all day without having to touch up and doesn't transfer onto any items that touch my face, I work two jobs, as a hygienist with a mask on, and as a server where I run around becoming sweaty for up to 12 hours at a time, and I think my face still looks pretty darn good at the end of a long day. Did I mention this foundation also has SPF 30 in it? I am only 25 years old and have always had fairly clear/tight skin so have not noticed a difference there, but have read many reviews that say this foundation also has firming/lifting & skincare properties, which also attributes to its price. I apologize for the novel review, but when online shopping for makeup I rely heavily on reading reviews. I first bought this on a whim and I am so happy I tried it! I hope this helps explain the high price tag and many benefits of this wonderful foundation :) « less" - Sephora user

Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation by honeybee gardens

"I really love this foundation. This is a very versatile product with great coverage. It gives me similar coverage to my old foundation (Revlon Colorstay foundation, a very full coverage foundation, but full of toxic ingredients). It does a fantastic job covering up redness and evening out skin tone, especially if used in conjunction with a concealer for any blemishes. The interesting thing I've noticed about this foundation is that if my skin has more moisture (or is more oily# when I use it the application has more of a 'wet' consistency. It behaves almost like a liquid foundation on my skin once it's applied. It still looks beautiful and I find once I blend it in, apply concealer under eyes & over any imperfections/blemishes, and finish with a light powder, it looks great. However, if my skin is having a 'dry' day #I'm 27, with combination skin# this foundation will apply without me needing to cover with a powder except for perhaps a light dusting over my t-zone. Either way it looks great though and gives me full coverage. I cannot recommend this foundation enough. :# I suggest buying the actual foundation first #it will come in a clear plastic container you can easily store it in# and then deciding if you like it enough to buy the heavy duty Honeybee Gardens silver compact to store it in. If you are going to continue using this foundation purchasing the compact is worth it #& then you just have to buy the replacement cartridges once your makeup runs out#, but I wouldn't recommend buying it right away when purchasing your first HB foundation, because you don't necessarily need it. I suggest buying & trying out the foundation to see how you like it first! Also, this particular color #Supernatural# is a light shade that I would say is comparable to the 'beige' range of foundation colors. If you normally wear the ivory colors #lightest color/colors# offered by most foundations I recommend the color Geisha instead. I normally wear the light beige-range type colors and Supernatural is a perfect match for me. It also has been looking great even as I've worn it all winter long, though I suspect it will blend a bit better once I have a little more color to my skin from sunshine #though not much#.Supernatural has a yellow undertone that anyone with pink undertones #like me# will appreciate, as this balances out your skin and gives your skin a nice flawless finish. Also, this foundation can be applied using a brush as well as a pouf/ cosmetic pad. It's pretty versatile and seems to look great no matter how I apply it.Also, I recommend the Honeybee Gardens stackable pot mineral eyeshadow in Spellbound. This is a beautiful color and looks even better when paired with the foundation. Temptress is a good crease-shade to pair with it as well, though if you're just going to try one I'd definitely recommend Spellbound. Spellbound really makes green eyes pop and would be beautiful with rich brown eyes as well #or hazel# and perhaps also some shades of blue... I also highly recommend the Honeybee Gardens eyeliners in Belgian Chocolate and Jet Set. I have both and I actually think they are very similar in their darkness #the Belgian Chocolate being almost as dark as the black eyeliner Jet Set# but the rich color of Belgian Chocolate is my absolute favorite. It's a very pretty eyeliner shade. They stay put pretty well and although I do get some bleeding at the outer edges of my eyes through normal wear after a few hours, I get that with ALL eyeliners, except the liquid water-proof types. Again, can't recommend these shadows/liners enough, especially Spellbound.Lastly, be careful when ordering this foundation from Swanson Vitamins and if it arrives to you cracked or damaged please know that that's not normally the case with this product when it's shipped appropriately by other sites/sellers. The only time I've ordered it from here #recently# it arrived to me cracked and falling apart. :# This is not flimsy foundation but probably needs some bubble wrap around it to protect it when being shipped with large shipments #my last shipment when I ordered it was large with some big conditioner bottles and a lot of other things#. I've ordered it multiple times from Amazon #different sellers# and Vitacost and it's always arrived to me in perfect condition, so that really disappointed me. I highly recommend this foundation, just be careful if you're making a big order from SV and know that it might be worth it to order from somewhere else #the sellers I usually buy from on Amazon normally sell it for around $9 including shipping#. For me the extra $2 is worth knowing that my foundation will get to me in perfect condition and not cracked or falling apart. I'm not returning the foundation I purchased from here because I can still use it using a brush, it's just a major annoyance and I can't use it in my compact or like I normally would use the foundation. « less" - Swanson Health Products user

Double Wear Light Stay-In-Place Makeup by Estée Lauder

"This foundation comes in a lightweight squeezy container, which is amazing for portability plus I find it less messy and wasteful than standard foundations. The foundation itself is creamy and not runny at all, but it spreads very evenly onto the face. It applies fabulously with a brush but I prefer to use fingers, as I feel this warms up the foundation a bit to help it blend. I blend out from the middle and it gives a glowy look at first but dries down to a natural, semi-matte finish. The coverage is amazing, it covers blemishes and redness so well - I'd say it covers just as well as the normal Double Wear, but with a different (less matte) finish. Because it's less matte, I find it more flattering on the slightly uneven texture of my skin. It gives an illusion of lovely smooth skin, but doesn't look like you're wearing heavy foundation. This is the best foundation I've found for combination skin, as it doesn't dry out or cause flakiness on the drier parts of my face, but it also controls oil really well on the shinier parts. I work full time and also attend evening classes, so I can personally testify that this lasts over 16 hours (!) on me without a primer or setting powder. I'm really particular about my base makeup looking good as I think it makes a huge difference, and this foundation even seemed to make my blusher last longer. I wore this foundation to my wedding about 18 months ago, and it lasted even in heat exceeding 40 degrees! It also photographed beautifully - even in the un-retouched photos from family and friends, my face looked airbrushed! My skin really isn't that great naturally, so this is a LIFESAVER. I'm a total foundation addict and have tried most of the high end brands, but this wins every time. Thanks Estee Lauder, this is absolutely my favourite product! Please bring out more shades though, like you have done for Double Wear - as a pale warm-toned girl, shade 1.0 is a little too dark and pinky for me in the winter. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="3928115401085027846-full" data-show="3928115401085027846-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Estée Lauder user

Gloprotective Liquid Foundation by glo minerals

"This foundation is by far the BEST available and I've tried a ton of brands. I have some melasma and a little acne scarring and this foundation covers easily. You can "build" to give a little more coverage where needed and it has a perfect satin finish, not too shiny nor too dull/dry. It does not settle in fine lines, it lasts all day without getting "cakey" or needing touch ups and does not feel heavy or "mask-like".The ONLY product that covers better is Glo pressed base, which I also love. However because the pressed base is a powder, I find this foundation a better choice if you have dry or mature skin with fine lines and wrinkles or any acne scarring or issues with texture as I have.I wish Glo offered smaller "sample" sizes for sale, as finding the exact correct shade was a bit challenging and costly. My correct shade in the pressed base was not the same as my shade in this foundation. « less" - canada.gloprofessional.com user

Confidence Creamy Powder Foundation by Tarte

"I'm almost 50 - ALMOST. I have dry skin. I've been wanting a makeup change, something fresh and mostly easier/quicker. I've dreamed of being able to wear a powder foundation but always knew that would be impossible for my skin type. I knew a powder foundation would be easy to apply in the car on trips and while healing from a recent surgery. I love Paula's Choice and in her beautypedia reviews I looked up powder foundations and this was one rated as not drying. I find this powder foundation to be very light and comfortable. Coverage is not full but I know it can be made to provide more coverage if you apply more than I do. I don't need a lot of coverage. People complain about the sponge disk applicator that comes with this makeup but I think it's wonderful! I put oil on my face after my shower and then a creamy SPF providing moisturizer so I first use the non-velour sponge side to pat the foundation on over the more moisturizer areas then the fuzzy-ish side to lightly swipe the makeup around and that makes the powder foundation fill up any pores and gives the makeup an airbrushed appearance. The color I chose is probably perfect for my med/light skin with yellow under tones however, I like my foundation to give me a little more color. I'm not sure the line has a perfect shade for my liking. I may try another shade for a bit more color. To me the colors all have more pink in them then I would like. I bought shade light neutral because it seemed like it had the least pink in it. The finish is not chalky or powdery at all! Does not look dry. I even put it around my eyes a little and it did not settle into lines and make me look older. I actually see a gentle glow on my skin - like natural bare skin not a shimmer to it. I think this is a super special makeup. I also was shocked at how nicely it lasted. I do wish the compact was designed to hold the applicator it comes with in the compact but it can all be kept together in the pouch it comes with." - ulta user

Creme Smooth Foundation by Laura Mercier

"1st I'm very impressed that the Flawless Face Founder actually found my perfect shade. For me that's 75% of the battle.***Shade - Honey Beige / My skin is Light to Medium with Golden undertones (darker than light, lighter than medium#***2nd When taking the Cream Smooth out of the jar, it felt very thick, but it went on nice and smooth - I didn't expect that at all.3rd Application - I used my fingers and there was nothing to it. Even though it was blending into my skin very nicely, it was covering everything I needed covered! I put a couple of extra layers over my Rosacea & brown spots, and they disappeared! I have tried EVERYTHING from High end to drug store, NOTHING has done that! And you would never guess that I used more than 1 layer. #That's WITHOUT concealer!)3rd It's not cakey at all. I love the Natural Dewy - but not Oily - finish. My skin looks naturally beautiful...I didn't think that would ever be possible again.4th This is my Review after 1 application, so I can't speak for it's staying power or how I'll feel a week or 2 from now. Hopefully I'll be able to update this review.5th Definitely worth the price. You get a full ounce! I was afraid it was going to be a smaller amount of product. A little goes a long way.HINT: I hate when the seal is covered with product, so I put the jar on top my clothes dryer to vibrate the product down flat & deeper into the jar.I can't stop looking in the mirror! « less" - lauramercier.com user

Redness Solutions Makeup Foundation with Probiotic Technology by Clinique

"Background: I have acne-prone, Asian light-medium with warm tones, combo-oily skin with medium size pores and some hyperpigmentation. This did not break me out. Shade: 3/5. Not a fan of the selection of shades. I settled on Neutral, which (thank god) makes my skin a teensy bit darker but overall works (it makes me look healthy, rather than washed out) Packaging: 5/5! Definitely is hygienic, there's a dropper-like opening at the top of the tube that allows consistent dispensing of the foundation without allowing bacteria or other stuff to get inside easily. Very nice when compared with other foundations with pour-out hole openings Application: 4/5. I use my fingers, rather than a brush. 3 dots on each cheek, 2 on my forehead, 2 on nose, and 2 on chin, then I blend everything out. Takes me about 30 seconds, muchh faster than when I used mineral makeup. This is smooth and dries quickly, and doesn't rub off that easily. Coverage is medium, but can be built on to add more coverage. In fact, I dab a few more dots of this as a concealer for my trouble spots. Sunscreen coverage: this has spf 15, which is an OK amount but I live in sunny California so I use another SPF 30 (or more depending on the day) sunscreen before this Redness reducing claim: Clinique claims that over time, this will actually help minimize redness on the skin. Well, I've used it for approximately one month now and can testify that that is TRUE. It's amazing, I know. I couldn't believe it myself, but my skin truly looks less red and flushed (I break out easily and always had troubled flushed skin). Overall: Highly recommended if you suffer from facial redness (acne, rosacea, or eczema). « less" - viewpoints.com user

Country Mist Liquid Makeup Foundation by Estée Lauder

"Country Mist is the first makeup I have tried that comes close to E.L.'s Enlighten that was discontinued about 5 yrs ago. It has a light, natural coverage that does not crease or become dry. It will be my luck Country Mist will go next now that I have finally found a foundation that works for me.I have fair skin with a touch of pink undertones, over 55 with no wrinkles. I love the moist, dewy look, leaves my skin feeling good all day.The darker Country Mist color works perfectly. All other Estee Lauder colors are made for yellow or orange tones. Nothing else E.L. has blends with my skin. There are still a few of us who need light neutral colors with a hint of pink, Estee Lauder, please. The fragrance is that of E.L's original EsteDerm moisturizer lotion and cream which I started using at age 17. Of course, that was discontinued in the late 90's.I love the light, elegant fragrance. The price is wonderful for us retired folks. I highly recommend Country Mist Liquid Makeup if you have normal to dry gracefully aging skin. Please do not discontinue Country Mist now that I have finally found it. « less" - Estée Lauder user

Radiant Fluid Foundation by Cle de Peau Beaute

"I love, love, love this foundation. I wasn't a fan of the concealer, but this foundation is awesome. Pros: -Super natural, life-like skin. I would say the finish is satin and it feels like NOTHING on your skin because of its liquid format. There is no powdery finish to this foundation, nor is it overly luminous to emphasize every texture on your skin. It simply is like skin. I powder my T-zone and my smile lines and I usually get shiny by early afternoon, but that did not happen with this. I looked immaculate still by the evening. -Comes in a pump! Easy to dispense! -No heavy fragrance. There is a slight scent, but you can't smell it too much. This is a big thing for me, because the La Mer foundation was so strong in scent that I hated it. -Comes in a cream format too for those who want more coverage Cons: -The price. I know, I know, I know. It's so "up there" and so ridiculous, but I haven't had a good foundation like this for a long time, even compared to Giorgio Armani or La Mer. This one really is worth it. -Narrow color range. The color selection is poor (where are the darker shades for WOC?) I have NC20 cool-yellow skin tone with olive undertones, and I bought O10. When I applied it to my face, it looked great, but was a little light around my forehead, because I have a naturally more tan forehead (NC25). After about 2 minutes though, it adjusted to my skintone and looked perfect. I know it's odd, but it did. When I looked at my hand where I had put the foundation, it looked pink! It's very odd, but it matches my face, but seems to adjust to every surface it touches. I would recommend everyone to try it out if you have a Nordstrom near you. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Nordstrom user

Dermablend Corrective Fluid Foundation 16HR by vichy

"What can I say? After planning to get married in may and wanting to do my own make up (various reasons mostly that I'm a control freak) the search began for a foundation that matched my skin tone, stayed on all day, stayed flawless all day and had an excellent coverage. I tried big brands, and none of them impressed me at all. Whether within hours I looked like I hadn't bothered with make up or whether it oxidised so much during the day I looked like an oompah loompah. The worst was one that didn't even attempt to hide a dark circle- a must if you're a mum to an 18 month old that thinks sleeping is for the dead. So after lots of research, and a Google search for 'full coverage foundation' up popped vichy derma blend. Described as giving excellent coverage with a natural looking finish that stayed put all day. Even over the Christmas period look fantastic got it to me within like 3 days- free delivery- I was one happy little Christmas elf! I couldn't wait to put it on and as soon as I did. I was blown away. Throughout the day it didn't crease, it didn't falter and my face didn't slide halfway off- it even survived an afternoon nap! I was so impressed I came back and bought another one. My skin doesn't feel heavy or gross or full of product. It looks like my skin- just flawless. You barely need any concealer-literally just under my eyes these days and it blends so easily. I couldn't be more impressed and I couldn't be more in love with this product. Infact my hairdresser and best friend just placed an order and I was told I was the goddess of makeup when they tried it so there you go. 3 happy loyal ladies to you now. Considering it's half the price of its competitors and doesn't clog your skin like the others I think I've found my holy grail product. A very happy, very flawless looking bride to be! « less" - lookfantastic.com user
