"Product: Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Foundation in Light (25.00 for 0.28 ounces) Shade: Sheer light golden cream >> This product speaks for itself. It's made from pure, crushed minerals straight from our planet. It feels like a cream because it's so finely milled, applied like a powder - but never looks caky, and makes the skin like you've layered silk on it. It's the makeup that feels and looks like no makeup - but your face will be perfected. It's made without Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances/Dyes, Petro-Chemicals, Phthalates. Parabens are said to lead to cancer in woman, while synthetic items are not healthy for the skin. It won't irritate the skin or cause breakouts, which is a relief to all ladies~! According to the statistics on Sephora 98% of woman said their skin looked softer, smoother, and younger. 90% saw IMPROVEMENT in their SKIN with continuous use - a foundation that makes you not need to use foundation. 93% noticed that their skin looked more radiant! >> So, what's my true opinion? I have 2 containers of this foundation, both mini sized. (10 Day Full Face Samples from Sephora.) They have lasted me for a year of light usage from day to day. (Not everyday of course, maybe 2-3 weeks of full face usage if you add it up.) What I'm trying to get at is this stuff lasts. The samples - that were free - lasted a good time for being a sample. I don't have the full size product, I want to get it, but I can bet you that it will last just as long. Obviously longer because it's bigger! Another nice thing is that it comes in so many different shades. I always feel annoyed when I look at a foundation and think, wow. There's 5 shades, and they're all for pale skinned girls. Really, leaving people out in makeup! Not cool! Being light skinned, I don't have a lot of problems, but some of my best friends have olive and darker skin. It's not fair that they can't use my favorite foundation, especially if we have the same skin type. This foundation comes in 20 shades, so any girl can find their perfect fit. >> Besides that this foundation is certified organic it feels just plain good on the skin. I like to buff this on with a Kabuki Brush (small, dense, face brush.) for perfect application. The key to awesome looking skin is to begin by getting a chunk of product on the brush. Now swirl the brush in the cap to get a thin layer of powder on each bristle. Then, tap on the side of the cap so the excess falls in, and voila! You have a brush with the perfect amount of powder evened out. It has light to medium coverage, depending how much you layer it. It works good on girls who have redness, light blemishes, light acne scars, un-even skin tone, etc. If you have bad acne, and dark acne scars this might not be the best for you. But don't feel down! Apply your favorite foundation on first, and then apply this on top. It leaves anything powdery and fake with a soft natural glow. Of course, no sparkle. >> The packaging on this is simple and sleek. The bottom is clear so you can see how much foundation you have, the and the top is matte black. To finish, this foundation has sunscreen, something every girl needs. Obviously you want to apply a sunscreen prior to foundation (apply a separate one for more protection of course!) but this adds a little more strength. Effectiveness: 10/10 Value: 10/10 Packaging: 8/10 Ease Of Use: 10/10 Overall: 10/10 Grade: A+ Love this product all around - it's a great buy! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-8674483314418737739-full" data-show="-8674483314418737739-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user
Estée lauder double wear stay-in-place makeup is a long-wearing makeup with 15-hour staying power. Looks flawless and natural. Lasts through heat, humidity, non-stop activity. Won't change color, smudge or come off on clothes.
"After purchasing this product I can say that I am a loyal MAC customer here on out. I have always had SUCH a difficult time matching my correct foundation, and the girl at the MAC Counter helped me with ease - I'm an NC 20. I typically need full coverage unless I am having a "good skin" day, and I bought this with the Studio Finish Concealer with SPF 35 so that I would have maximum coverage with a natural, non-cakey finish. After years of wearing liquid foundation, I discovered Mineral Foundation - which is essentially a powder form of foundation. I have very dry skin but I can't stand the hassle that comes along with applying liquids. I was in LOVE with Sheer Cover Mineral Foundation but I have redness on my cheeks that I am very self conscious about - and though it is a good product, I still want more coverage. So this fall I took a chance with MAC. I tried out that Studio Fix Fluid - and I HATED it. Yes, it had AMAZING coverage but it broke me out SO BAD. I literally went from clear skin to 6 huge pimples in 2 days. I was devastated, and returned to mineral make up since it wouldn't clog my pores like the foundation did. Then I heard about the POWDER form of Studio Fix! I did endless research - until I was convinced and heard it let your skin "breathe" while providing maximum coverage - exactly what I'm looking for. Even though this is recommended for oily skin, I have dry skin but am still prone to breakouts. I find if I moisturize my skin is fine with this product and it doesn't look patchy. I cannot say how much I love this stuff. I am very picky with my products, and this is VERY build-able foundation. It's also so quick and easy. No more hassle with blending in liquid foundation or loose mineral foundations! I apply this with a kabuki brush and it looks flawless. I find that it does look a little "powdery" but I use my fix plus and it looks WONDERFUL and instantly takes away the powdery look if I accidentally apply too much. I don't know what else to say...TRY IT! You won't be disappointed. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-7514454166144838250-full" data-show="-7514454166144838250-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Macy's user
"Bare Escendtuals' new matte foundation is the product I've been looking for all my life. I have disgustingly oily skin that makes my face shine like a solar panel. After trying so many products that promised the moon I finally found one that delivers real results.Staying power: Normally about 3 hours after I apply my makeup oil starts to seep through. After 4-5 hours my entire face (not just my T-zone) looks like the Exxon-Valdez oil spill. After 8 hours my make-up is sliding off of my face. Using BM Matte foundation I don't see any shine on my face until around 6 hours after I apply. My face only gets really shiny after about 8 hours. Then I simply apply some blotting powder, and I'm set for another 3 hours or so. This makeup truly lasts all day. Out of the zillions of other "mattifying" products I've tried this is the *only* one that works.Coverage: Like most mineral makeups, BM Matte provides a light to medium coverage. It evens skin tone and minimizes pores, but for larger blemishes like pimples or scars you definitely need some concealer.Application: BM Matte is easy to apply. I recommend using their oil-control primer in order to prep your skin. Apply primer, and allow 1-2 minutes to dry. Then use a thick soft brush (I use a Kabuki brush) and follow the instructions. Be sure not to apply too much otherwise your make up will look powdery. Mineral makeup has to "settle in" so to speak, so start slow. Mineral make-up can be somewhat annoying because it gets everywhere. I'm usually very careful not to let any spill, but somehow I usually find tiny hills of powder on my counter. I do love the new locking system that prevents all of the powder from spilling out if you carry the container in your purse.Finish: BM Matte provides an excellent finish that makes my skin radiant and matte. It doesn't, however, give you that air-brushed look like liquid foundation or anything with heavier coverage. However, it does look way more natural.Color: BM creates enough shades that it's easy to match your foundation to your skin type. Their lightest color is a lot lighter than many other foundations, so fair-skinned ladies rejoice. Their colors are very easy to blend so you can get just the right shade. I use fair and fairly light, and I no longer have to worry about that hideous line that divides my face from my neck. One thing to watch out for is that the foundation does become a bit orange from oxidizing. However, this is easily fixed by blotting powder. I use a medium tone blotting powder, and it makes my foundation looks perfect again.Skin-friendly: I can't vouch for the quality of the ingredients or their ability to clear up your skin, but I can say that BM is a lot better for your skin than most foundations. It's light so it doesn't clog pores, and you don't get that heavy feeling at the end of the day like you've got mud on your face. I really love the fact that it protects your skin from the sun, because sun-block clogs my pores like nothing else (not to mention it makes my face even *oilier*). However, you do have to be careful because it does dry your skin out a little. Your face naturally produces oil in order to keep it moisturized, so the lack of oil created from the matte finish means your skin will dry (especially if you use the oil-control primer). However, the drying is not as severe as many acne-fighting products, so I simply started applying moisturizer in the morning as well as at night and I don't have a problem. « less" - Sephora user
"One makeup product I do not leave the house without applying has always been a foundation. My skin is not flawless and wearing the right foundation gives me the confidence to face the world. I have been switching between two liquid foundations (one high end and one drugstore) for the past couple of years and love the medium to full coverage that they give me. Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Mineral Foundation is the first pressed foundation that I have tried and I am pleasantly surprised with the results. It glides on smoothly and evenly, providing a buildable medium coverage without looking and feeling cakey. Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Foundation is super lightweight, creates a beautiful natural finish and it feels like I am not wearing anything. I am happy that it doesn`t break me out and it makes my skin even and healthy-looking. It takes literally a minute to apply it with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, it is not messy and I love that it has SPF15. This pressed foundation is my absolute must have and I already see myself using it a lot as my go-to product during the summer. It has a nice sturdy compact packaging with a mirror, which makes it perfect to carry in the purse and reapply as needed throughout the day. Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Foundation comes in eleven different shades and in case if you are wondering, I am using Blush Medium which is a great match and would also be good even when I get a little tanned in the summer. Overall Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Foundation would be perfect for anyone who want light to medium coverage foundation, that looks natural, doesn`t cake, is not messy and it takes less than a minute for application._________________________________I received this product complimentary for testing purposes. "I was lucky enough to be given a generous amount of sample by a cast member to try before buying the full size product. First off - on certain areas of my face, I have several minor scarring from acne. The rest of my face has unevenness (with my forehead being darker than the rest of my face). I also have an oily skin so I tend to stray away from liquid foundations and only stick to mineral make-up and powder foundations. Now, NARS offers Sheer Glow (which is geared towards dry/normal skin and Sheer Matte (which is geared towards combination/oily skin). I was a little cautious about this foundation simpy because of the fact it may be too hydrating for my oily skin. Can we say, "Hello, oil slick!" Nevertheless, I was proven wrong. Read on.I wanted to give liquid foundations again a try and see how it works out with my skin now that it has cleared up from acne, despite of the leftover scars it left me. This foundation along with Sheer Matte with NARS is said to have complexion brightening properties that will improve skin's brightness, radiance in texture overtime. I have a medium golden/yellow toned face and I was matched and given a sample in Punjab. I applied this foundation with a flat top kabuki brush after applying Make Up For Ever's HD Microperfecting Primer (which is AMAZING for holding up makeup) in 0, Neutral. The first thing I noticed was that this foundation blended easily and the color is more yellow toned which I liked. One layer of this foundation gave me a fairly medium coverage with a somewhat glow, yet matte finish. Do note though that I used a flat top kabuki brush and the bristles are more packed together so it provided a fairly medium coverage for me. On my troubled spots, I noticed they were partly covered and usually I follow-up with a concealer, but I just put another layer on my troubled areas and it covered it just fine without any concealer. Since I have oily skin, I usually set my face with a translucent loose powder or Bare Escentuals' Matte (in Golden Medium). To set my face, I use Make Up For Ever's HD Kabuki Brush, which I simply adore. This foundation remainded on my face from morning until nighttime and only had to touch up once. The color remained true and I did not experience any oxidizing on my face. I still had oil surface on my face, but it was definitely controlled. I would buy this foundation next time I run out of what I am currently using (Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Mattifying liquid foundation - which is also another amazing liquid foundation). « less" - Sephora user
An eight-hour wear, liquid makeup that neutralizes redness and blends away blemishes.
Hi-def coverage! Catrice's hd liquid coverage foundation is an ultra-lightweight, high coverage foundation for a natural looking finish.
"I wear this wet-dry pressed powder, spf 20 foundation in Golden Glow. For reference, my Bare Escentuals color match is Golden Medium. JI Golden Glow is lighter, and less yellow than the BE Golden Medium, and more beige/light tan than gold, but it's the closest BE to IE match for me. Riviera and Suntan are wonderful colors for medium skin tones as well, but the undertones seem more "neutral", while Golden Glow is definitely for "warm" skin. The Jane Iredale compact is just gorgeous, and using it makes me feel refined and elegant, (and I need all the help I can get...!) When I was a child, my mother, aunts, and grandmothers would carry their Estee Lauder powders (for their noses) in artistic, ornate compacts. JI's heavy, gold colored, high quality compact makes me remember how much I longed to wear makeup just because it was pretty and fun to touch. This compact is nice to carry around to use powder as needed, but I like best to apply it in the morning as an all-over face foundation, because it lasts so long I rarely need touch-ups until late in the day. Like most mineral makeups this adds a small bit of healthy "glow", but in this case, it really is a healthy glow; not glitter, which makes my pores look 80x worse than they look without makeup. Also, unlike other mineral foundations (especially pressed ones), this doesn't cake up too badly around my eyes. My need for a traditional "matte" foundation has faded due to glycolic and retinol treatments, and, of course, age, but if this powder had existed when I truly needed long-lasting, shine-free foundation, I think it would have been a dream-come-true. Compared to all the other brands of mineral powders I've tried, Jane Iredale pressed foundation is the silkiest, has the best coverage, has no glitter, has sunscreen protection, and performs the best around my eyes without making me look like I'm 80. (I have to be realistic, at 44. Powders are going to accentuate lines. It's just the way it is. But I choose the trade-off of the accentuation of a few lines in order to cover my pores, and even out that annoying melasma. As far as coverage, refining skin tone colors, and looking smooth, this is superior to every other pressed mineral foundation I've tried. If you're looking for a "skin-like", or "no-makeup" look, this foundation probably won't work well. It's very comfortable, and it doesn't scream, "MAKE-UP!", but, at least on me, nobody would mistake it for bare skin. This has medium coverage when applied with a brush, but it can easily work as a full coverage foundation if applied with a sponge or powder puff, or wet. The price seems utterly ridiculous, and it's the one thing that kept me from trying Jane Iredale products, for years. Now that I've been using many of her products, I do see why they get away with the high price. They are more highly pigmented, color concentrated, and elegant than many other mineral brands, and their colors seem closer to the colors of real human skin than lots of other makeup. « less" - Beauty.com user
"I say nearly only because even the lightest shade is a little too dark for my very fair skin. I can make it work, but I have to be careful to take it down my neck and bronze my chest but this foundation is actually worth going through all that trouble for now, come summer I don't expect it to be an issue. Onto what I love about it though--everything! The thin fluid texture feels like nothing on the skin, it has a perfect medium coverage (I prefer to use concealer for problem areas vs. having a mask face), and looks like nearly nothing on the skin--SO skin like! I have extremely combination oily/dry skin with dry patches and this actually makes the dry patches invisible without making the oily parts look shiny any sooner than they normally would. It's actually rather amazing. It looks gorgeous and skin like when freshly applied, is easily buildable, and the most impressive part was that I found it looked just as good 10+ hours later! I do usually use a primer, but even switching up primers this foundation lasted just as long--and I've never had a foundation look as good at the end of a long day as this one does. As for the "luminous" finish--I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. I would say it is a satin finish, not at all flat, but also in no way dewy. I do powder this foundation in my t-zone where I tend to get oily, but it doesn't seem to compromise the skin-like satin finish. I love that it comes with a pump, and that the lightest shade (2) is yellow based as often times the lightest shades are pink based. I just wish they made a neutral or yellow based shade 1 for us super fair ladies. I will say that if you're looking for very full coverage you certainly can layer this without looking cakey, but you'll have to use a lot (I use 2-3 pumps for medium coverage) and you'll probably go through the bottle faster than you like. Obviously the price is very steep, but I just haven't found anything I like nearly as much (and I've tried A LOT). I plan to save it for bad skin days/days I need extra confidence, and special occasions. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-217968567705807247-full" data-show="-217968567705807247-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user
"I'm mid 40s. Used to use FitMe foundation and Olay products. No fuss. Low maintenance. Skin started changing in the last few years. Texture, super oily/big pores, sun spots, break outs, etc. Started doing a lot of research and decided to completely change my skincare and makeup regimen and especially include sunscreen. Decided on this foundation based on good reviews, decent ingredients, SPF and Beautipedia gave it five stars :). People complain about products causing acne but it's probably not the foundation and more likely to be the skincare. I eliminated products with fragrance and silicones and changed to water based products and started using chemical exfoliants to help with cell renewal. The combination that has been working for my skin type is cleanser with no fragrance (I use Clinique) , oil free moisturizer (PTR), Coola tinted matte sunscreen SPF30, primer to fill in pores/T-zone, followed by this foundation and lastly set it with a translucent powder. Makes my skin look healthy. Not overly dewey or matte. No oil for hours. Maybe need to blot once a day. Huge difference from where I was before using the right line up of products. I've had no break outs. This foundation indeed color corrects itself. It does not oxidize if you prep skin properly. Out natural oils will oxidize any foundation if not prepped properly to keep oils at bay. It is not high coverage. It is just as indicated moderate coverage. It can be sheered out to a lighter coverage and it feels like skin. Not cakey or thick just creamy. The price point is perfect between drug store and higher end and worth trying for everyday wear. It doesn't last all day. Maybe 8 hours before it may start to fall around oily areas like the nose but it's so important how you prep the face prior to and to set it with powder after. One thing to note is the shades in the light/medium range are either very orange or very pink. I have just about every undertone possible yellow, olive, pink, warm and neutral and it's so difficult to find a color match. Don't be afraid to sample colors and to mix two if needed. I found that WN46 golden neutral and CN70 vanilla worked very nicely and were a good match for my light/medium skin. You just need a drop as a bit goes a very long way. Don't use too much as this was not meant to be built to full coverage or you will give yourself cake face for sure! I've learned it's best to stay on the lighter side of the color range if you're unsure and add color with bronzer if needed or else you will end up with an overly tanned orange face and that does not look pretty. Also look at the color in natural light not under the store lights. Lastly, make sure you wash all this product off before bed time! Clinique Take The Day Off and follow with a cleanser and good night time moisturizer. 👌Hope this info helps as finding the perfect foundation is a real and ongoing struggle for so many of us :) Less" - ulta.com user
A clean, water-based, liquid foundation in a stick that combines hydrating skincare benefits and SPF with naturally-radiant, buildable, medium coverage.
A fluid foundation that improves skin’s luminosity instantly and over time thanks to luminizing pigments and vitamin C.
"I have drier skin. This foundation really is not as drying as many people say. I make sure to exfoliate my skin before I use the foundation. I put moisturizer and moisturizing primer before I apply it as well. It does oxidize a little bit. However, it is not as bad as the superstay foundation and for how cheap it is, it is not a big deal. It lasts the entire day. I would not say it is a matte foundation as loreal claims. I mean I do use moisturizer beforehand, but it is not totally matte. I do not use powder and throughout the day oil does not build too bad. Throughout the day, the more natural the finish becomes. It does not settle into fine lines anymore than any other good foundation would. It is full coverage. I have recieved tons of compliments on it. I totally recommend, as finding foundations that suit my dry skin is sooooo difficult." - mira user
"Gotta say it, I did not think I'd ever like a loose powder foundation. Liquids and creams look too heavy on me, I feel like people look at my makup and not at me because it looks so fake if I wear anything but powder. I've been using pressed powders for years and could never find a good match. The closest I've ever gotten was Clinique's Almost Powder in Fair. It was a decent match, but not spot on. I've started "cleaning out" my makeup bag, slowly replacing products that have questionable ingredients with ones that are more safe and natural and I ran across this brand in a blog somewhere if I remember right. I was apprehensive, I had always considered loose powders to be messy and lacking in the coverage department, but I gave it a shot and boy am I glad that I did. I went with Beige 1 because at the time I thought it was the closest match out of the four in my sample kit, but I'm questioning that right now. It isn't so off that it's highly noticeable, but I'm particular about having a foundation that matches my skin tone so next time I'll try something else. Their sample kits are wonderful and you get enough foundation in each sample to last you a few days, I just jumped the gun. Anyway, this powder is amazing. So light, but so buildable. I can go eight hours or more without needing to touch up the oil slick that forms on my nose/forehead with other foundations. By itself, I'll get a little shine but nothing that I'm concerned about, but paired with the Primer Powder the shine is barely noticeable. I don't find myself checking my makeup every time I pass a mirror now, more like looking on in awe at how good it still looks. This foundation is very easy to touch up at the end of the day if you're going out. It doesn't get the caked on look that I've experienced with other foundations when I try to touch them up. I have rather large pores on and around my nose and I don't feel that this settles into them or any lines unless I apply it too heavily, but if it does happen it will easily buff out. It gives you a natural, believable look and you won't even know that it's there. If the foundation alone can't cover a spot, give the concealer and/or one of the color balancing powders a go, they're marvelous too and great for spot covering so that you're not applying more foundation than necessary. Seriously, five stars aren't enough. * « less" - alimapure.com user
"Honestly? I wasn't that excited when I heard Pat McGrath was releasing a foundation. There are so many formulas, techniques, and types of foundation that I didn't think it was possible to create something truly unique, as far as foundations go.I was wrong.I will never doubt again.Ok, let's get the basics out of the way. All the claims in the description are true; it starts as sheer and builds to medium coverage easily, is self-setting and a satin finish. But let's talk about why this is so unique. This is hands-down the best self-setting formula I've ever experienced. This foundation truly sinks into the skin, to the point where I can't tell that there's makeup on my face with sheer-to-light layers, yet my skin looks...perfect. Seriously, it just looks like I have the best skin of my life, but feels like nothing is on my skin. Even when building up to medium coverage, I can tell that it's there, but is so much lighter than other medium coverage foundations I have. The satin finish is also stunning. It does dry down a little more matte than I would prefer, but it appears dewy when the light catches it. When I wear this sheer, I don't mind the finish, but when I build it up I make sure to use a good amount of dewy setting spray.Of course the packaging is spectacular as well - it fits in perfectly with the 80s high fashion aesthetic of her Instagram.Overall, I would think of this as the most perfecting BB or CC cream you've ever seen, with the optional coverage of a foundation. It's an absolutely gorgeous, weightless formula that truly makes my skin look incredible.I received this foundation complimentary for testing purposes, but am already going to repurchase at full price, because the shade I was sent is just a hair too light for me! « less" - patmcgrath.com user
"Sorry for the long review.... but I have a lot to say about this product. I suffer from terrible adult acne and I've wasted so much time and money trying to get it under control. So when I came across this product one day I decided to try it. Even if it failed at least I would get coverage out of it. As it turns out - it's amazing! The way it glides over your face evenly; the lightweight feel; and the fact that it kept my oily skin in check was enough to keep me happy. After a hard days work it would still be in place with no noticeable streaks. It had remarkable coverage for a powder - and as the days went by I slowly noticed a decrease in concealer use. Unfortunately after I ran out I was unable to make it to the store to purchase more; and that was when I realized how much it kept my acne under control. It wasn't a rebound breakout - It was the same type of acne I had in the same problem areas with the same severity. But now that I wasn't using the powder to treat it, my face slowly began to break out again. So needless to say - I went back and purchased more. I even gifted it to my sister who has the same skin issues I do, and she noticed a change in her complexion immediately. The only negative thing I have to say about this product is that when I made it about half way through the compact, the powder began hardening on the surface from the sponge applicator going over it repeatedly (similar to what happens with eye shadows). So I would use something with a hard edge to gently scrape off the top layer then use that broken powder to apply to my skin. That is probably the applicator itself that causes that. So swapping that out for a poof or brush would likely solve that issue. I myself prefer the sponge applicator and just deal with the problem as it arises." - walgreens user
"I've used Jane Iredale products since they first came on the market. I absoutely LOVE this line. The products I use the most are the mineral loose powder, blush, powdered eye shadow & eyeliners. I will never return to using liquid foundations. I've received sample sizes of other brands of mineral makeup & nothing compares to Jane Iredale. I'm hooked. The JI products I've tried provide great coverage without appearing like you put your makeup on with a trowel.. The products are long lasting (seldom need to refresh makeup during the day), the colors stay true after applying the product, no streaking, smearing/smudging & you will not leave traces of your makeup on clothing or anywhere else. Easy to remove at the end of the day & does not clog your pores. General overall appearance of my skin has improved since using JI. Throughout my life, my skin has been sensitive, oily & dry. I've never had a reaction to any JI product. Price is reasonable & products last for months. I use the products daily. I could be a self appointed spokesperson for the JI line. It is the best stuff I've ever used & I've been wearing makeup for-let's just say for many years. Do your self a favor & try any one of the Jane Iiredale products. "This is my new favorite foundation. I have very oily skin with dry patches that sometimes spring up because of my eczema, but it is still very smoothing and does not exaggerate dryness and wears all day. I start to get a bit shiny around the 9/10 hour mark, but this foundation has lasted through a 12 hour day and still looked beautiful and in tact when I took it off. This reminds me so much of the Estee Lauder Double Wear, which is actually not that much of a surprise considering they own Too Faced now. To me, it has all the benefits of double wear without some of the drawbacks, like the heaviness, sometimes cakiness, and no pump double wear has. It is so light on the skin and I do find it to have good and buildable coverage. Strangely, I find the coverage to look fuller once it has set, so I only use a half pump to a full pump for my whole face now. I also love that this comes with 1.6oz of product and for $36! It is also truly transfer resistant, which double wear has never been on me. This also doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, hasn't broken me out, and though I don't like the smell of peaches, I don't mind it at all in this. I am glad I've found this because I've always loved the double wear but was looking for something similar that was lighter, had a pump, etc. and this is it. My only complaint is that the shade range leaves much to be desired. I wear Vanilla but have more golden undertones. I can pull off Vanilla okay, but wish they would come out with more shades for everyone to be able to find their shade as this formula is that good. I am have a light-medium to medium skin tone and the fact that I wear the 3rd shade in the line is a testament to how small the range is. If you are fairer-skinned or deeper-skinned you will most likely not find a shade, and Too Faced needs to fix that. However, if you can find your shade now, and are looking for a great foundation, I would say do not hesitate on this one. The matching primer is also great and pairs well. « less" - Sephora user
"This formula is much better than the previous one from 2012-13, this foundation is so light on the skin, use it with a brush or a sponge (I'd stay away from fingertips), with a sponge you get more translucent coverage, with a brush medium coverage. The shine of my TZone is less through out the day and the coverage is not heavy or cakey. It dries rather quickly so blend fast with which ever tool you use. I use the Glo-Minerals finishing powder over it to reduce shine. Do research online for getting the right color, there is not a good source on this website. " - dermstore user
"I got this product for free to review (Product Review Club).I tried this foundation stick for 2 days before writing a review. I got the 250 Bisque (W) as a highlighter. It was almost close to my skin tone so the results of me using it as a highlighter was not as visible as I wanted it to be. I have use highlighting powder in the past and I would say that this foundation stick is much better. The application is so smooth and a little creamy. It blends really well. I have large pores and it filled up my pores nicely and not cakey at all. I always have problems by my cheek area. Any foundation or concealer I use no matter what primer I have on first, still gets cakey and creasy. This foundation blended nicely and gave me a nice coverage. I use a damp blending sponge and also used an angled liquid foundation brush and they both worked really well. I like using it now to highlight my brows.I would say it is a light to medium coverage but very buildable til you achieve full coverage you wanted. It also blended nicely with the finishing powder I was using. I love that it is oil free and has a matte finish. It is not a very matte finish. I'd say it's in between dewy and matte.. but like 70% matte just enough glow that it makes the finish looks really nice. The SPF is an added bonus! I should say too that it is not transfer proof or smudge proof.. it is TRANSFER and SMUDGE resistant.. meaning there will still be minimal transfer and it will still budge. It is very light weight. I don't even feel like I was wearing makeup. I will continue to use this and would probably get the shade closest to my skin tone as my base foundation and get a dark one for contouring once my contour cream is done. I love how small it is and you can just take anywhere with you. My makeup on day 1 trying this product lasted for a good 9 hours til I have to remove it. My work involves running around and cleaning and my makeup was still on til I got home.I guess it all depends on your skin type. This will probably not be good for oily skin. Oh yeah, it wasn't cakey at all on my dry spots and covered it up pretty well. I like how easy it is to use this product and just glides on my skin. The price may be a bit in a higher range but I think it's worth it. :)Thank you again ChickAdvisor for the nice opportunity. « less" - chickadvisor.com user

"I grew up with what most would gingerly refer to as, "problematic skin". Honey, my face's terrain was a red, rocky landscape that put the Rockies to shame. Mince garlic, not words, people.Years of dermatologic visits, beginning at the tender age of 8. Every single prescription pill, cream, gel, wash, and toner available on the market was thrown at me, short of Accutane. Understandably, my folks weren't too keen on the drug after seeing my oldest brother's miserable (and unsuccessful) experience.Needless to say, my pre-teen, teenage, and early 20's years contained The Quest for the Holy Compact. Name a brand and a product. I've tried it. Drugstore brands. As seen on TV. Magazine rave reviews. Dermatologist recommended. And of course, I tried everything that was recommended for my skin by various consultants from various companies (even Clinique, back around age 13). But my finicky skin rejected them all. Too dry. Too cakey. Turns my face into a mirror within an hour. Changes color after a couple hours. Makes my breakouts worse. Can't build up coverage. Not enough coverage. You get the picture. But then, at 18, I find this product. Cue angelic chorus bursting forth from parted clouds. It matched my skin perfectly (shade 114), banishing my uneven, blotchy redness with ease. Didn't change color through the day. Stayed put. A little more coverage here, a little less coverage there. Prevented shine without drying my skin out. It was ridiculously perfect. I cannot stress that enough. This Holy Compact--so innocent in its pleasant spring-mint packaging--contained the stunning conclusion to my quest.10 years later, here I am at 28, still faithfully carrying this precious product in my purse each day. Even if you discontinue this product, just know that it made a huge impact on the tumultuous and socially-ostracized adolescent life of one girl. Thank you. Less" - clinique.com.my user
"As a person who on and off struggled with acne since age 13, that has left my skin with scars, redness, and still blemish prone. The Youngblood Natural Mineral Loose Foundation hides all this, covers the dark circles under my eyes and smoothes my skin beyond recognition. Doesn't clog pores and feels natural. As my skin tends to be very oily I use a primer as base and a compact powder on top to keep the look lasting longer. This tames my skin and gives a flawless complection, without looking or feeling heavy. I still look like me, but a better me, and I feel great! Definetely would recommend for anyone, no matter the skin issue! " - lookfantastic.com user
"If you are reading reviews to see if you should try this foundation, I am here to help! I was skeptical and when an offer came up for a deluxe sample, I gave it a try. I am 21 years old and I have a malar rash ("butterfly rash" brought on by Lupus/SLE). My rash extends from my cheeks down towards my chin a bit and on the bridge of my nose. It looks similar to acne scars and acne redness spots after a pimple has been popped. It is EXTREMELY hard to cover up without feeling cakey. I have tried everything. My favorites before this foundation are it cosmetics cc cream and Estee Lauder's double wear. However, double wear was very heavy and dried extremely quick and was obvious on the skin and it cosmetics cc cream was just a bit too light and I always ended up using a ton of concealer. With this product, I use 1-2 very light coats. I think those reviewers who are saying that this product has minimal coverage are using the wrong applicator tool. Normally, I am a beauty blender girl, but this foundation works best with a brush. I SWEAR by the new it cosmetics "heavenly skin" brush. Yes, it is expensive, but they last for years (I have several brushes from it) and it makes your application ten times better. Apply a little on your hand and apply an even coat in circular motions. Then, take another coat and apply in a dabbing motion (as if you are dapping the beauty blender). Whala! You have full coverage and NO redness or blemishes anymore. The foundation stays on great with a setting powder. If you have any 3D pimples, I suggest also pairing this foundation with makeup forever's concealer in the tube. I have used this concealer for over 5 years and have tried almost 20 foundation's and concealers. This foundation and the concealer I recommend are the BEST! Happy shopping :) <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="4535047209593659399-full" data-show="4535047209593659399-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user
"For the past year and half I have been on the hunt for a foundation that meets all of my needs - great color match (that doesn't oxidize), long-wearing, weightless and keeps my combo/oily skin under control (without looking matte/flat). It's a lot to ask of ONE product so I was beginning to give up...until I tried MAC's PLW foundation! O-M-G! I apply the foundation around 6:30am and don't get home until 7pm, and my face still looks great! No powder touch-ups, MAYBE blotting with a blotting sheet mid-day, but other than that, the minimal amt of oil that comes through makes it look super natural (I wouldn't even call it dewey). I'll only touch up with powder if I'm going out after work and want to look extra polished. This baby has met and exceeded all of my expections! A definite must-try! (BTW - I don't have sensitive skin so I can't speak to whether it would be good for those who do break out from certain ingredients). In terms of my shade and application method: I'm currently darker than normal, so I'm wearing NC44 but think I'll have to get NC42 and mix it come winter. Or I might try to mix it with the PLW concealer that I have in NC35. I use a flat top kabuki brush to apply and have been meaning to try it with my BB sponge. I moisturize with a yellow moisturizing gel (from a mid-price skincare line that starts with C and has a Q in it LOL), prime with MAC's Natural Radiance in yellow and set with MSFN in Medium Tan (thank you for this new color BTW! Love it!). I pair with the PLW concealer in NW30 for underneath my eyes (also lasts all day), and set the undereye with MAC'S translucent pressed powder. Hope this helps! #peace <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - M·A·C user

"I got this powder because the reviews were good and because of the SPF in it. I just finished my entire compact (after it cracked, I might add...I didn't even drop it, it just slowly broke apart after a small dip started forming in the center from daily use). I have very light skin with faded freckles, light acne scars, and broken capillaries around my nose and I chose the lightest shade, "Me, Vain?" Champagne. As far as powder foundations go, this is the best one I've tried so far and the only one I've ever finished.First things first: the included brush and sponge are terrible, just throw them away. I used my Bare Escentuals foundation brush (which I hate, but it works) to lightly sweep the powder over my liquid sunscreen and concealer to just mattify my look a little. I like that you can easily build up your coverage with this powder. My skin has drier patches so I could really only do a light layer, but on days when I was hydrated and needed more coverage, I could easily buff a little more onto my skin and it still looked natural. I couldn't use this under my eyes to set my concealer because it settles into the fine lines and dry spots under my eyes and just makes it look like a cakey mess, though I'm not sure if that's because of this powder or my dry eyes or concealer choice. As for the capillaries around my nose...I usually just used the foundation, no concealer or anything else to avoid cakiness, and this powder did a good job of dulling down the redness. The capillaries were never totally concealed but I can tell you that I never go out anywhere without dipping a small concealer brush into this powder and putting it around my nose; it really worked to cover my capillaries that much. Some other thoughts: the powder never broke me out, I could easily put it over my oily skin as well as bad zits and not have them worsen. I wouldn't rely on this powder for your daily SPF though; SPF 15 isn't really that much and if you use a light layer like I did I doubt you'd get anywhere near the necessary coverage. It's not a heavy powder, it feels very comfortable to have it on for 12+ hours (although I only used a light layer). I touch up 2 or 3 times a day just to refresh my look, but that's because I live in Florida and just feel better when I touch up. It has very portable packaging, although the plastic part that clicks the compact closed broke on mine. As for the cracks and eventual shattering, almost every powder compact I've used has eventually broken due to daily use.Overall, I liked this powder and used it until it was gone. I get bored with cosmetics easily so I'm currently looking for a new powder, but I haven't found anything I like as much as this. I would definitely repurchase again and I highly recommend this product.A Sephora employee once told me that if you were to only use Benefit products correctly, your face would look flawless...I'm inclined to believe that's true. :) « less" - Sephora user
"I usually use a mineral powder foundation because every liquid one I've tried has left my skin feeling either super-clogged or like I want to scratch my face off, but the description of this foundation sounded amazing so I was excited to give it a go.First things first, I am in LOVE with the packaging for this foundation, the glass bottle feels and looks amazing and high quality and the design makes it look much more expensive than it actually is. The pump action dispenser gives a nice controlled amount so you're not wasting any.The foundation itself feels creamy but light, and it goes on like a dream. The packaging blurb states that you need to make sure you moisturize before using it, but having combination oily skin I found this wasn't absolutely necessary for it to look good, but does give the best possible finish. I've tried applying with a brush and a beauty blender and found the blender gave the more flawless finish. I found when applied with a brush it tended to cling more to any areas of texture. Either way, it sets quickly so you need to work fast to get it to blend perfectly. The look this foundation gives is a nice soft matte look, not powdery or cake like a lot of matte look foundations do. For me I really do feel it gives that 'your skin but better' look, and for the first time I actually think it's almost undetectable that I'm wearing foundation. It just gives my skin that smoother, more perfected look, whilst still looking totally natural. It can be built up to a more full coverage but then it does start to become more obvious and cling more to pores, lines etc. For me, the natural coverage it gives is just perfect as I don't go for a heavily made up look.I've found the foundation lasts better on my skin than any other liquid foundation I've tried, and it doesn't slide or sweat off even in hot environments. It lasts easily 8+ hours and doesn't transfer onto clothes etc. I've also found it feels unnoticeable on my skin which is something no other liquid foundation has done. It doesn't feel like it's clogging my pores, and it doesn't itch or irritate my sensitive skin.As for the shade range, it's obviously fantastic and has been widely celebrated. I have the shade 110 which looks ridiculously pale on me when first applied, but it darkens down within a few minutes, so that's something to be aware of when choosing your shade. I found this darkened down to about one shade lighter than my skin tone despite looking at least 5 shades lighter when first applied. So when I repurchase this I'll be going a shade up to get a truer match. All in all this is hands down the best liquid foundation I've ever used, and the only one I will actually be repurchasing. I still prefer my mineral powder foundation because it's super quick and easy to apply, but when I have the time to use a liquid foundation this will be it! Less" - boots.com user

"I’ve been really impressed with this foundation!! I was a bit wary before trying it since it’s listed as being “medium to full coverage,” and I typically don’t like wearing foundation because it feels too heavy on my skin. This foundation goes on really light, but can easily be built up for fuller coverage; it almost feels like a liquid to powder because it goes on matte and isn’t oily on your skin. I love that a little bit goes a long way! Again, I don’t like wearing heavy foundations, so this one is perfect for just using a little bit to even out my skin tone and cover redness. And when it says “traceless” It really means it! Usually if I wear even the littlest bit of foundation or concealer my husband will notice, but I’ve been wearing this stuff for about two weeks now and my husband hasn’t said a thing! The color matches my skin perfectly and it wears beautifully, so even at the end of a hot summer day it isn’t melting off my face. It does pick up the dry skin on my nose, so a face primer might be useful if you have dry skin like me.I also love the twist to open bottle. It’s great that it’s an easy, one step open and close so there’s no risk of spilling and it’s easy to pump out the exact amount you need.I’ve tried lots of foundations, and I’ve always wondered why someone can’t just make a serum-like foundation that dries on the skin and stays in place, and now I’ve discovered that Tom Ford has done it! It’s definitely on the pricey side, but worth it in my opinion. You definitely get a quality product for the price! Less" - Sephora user
Smashbox Studio Skin 24 Hour Oil-Free Hydra Foundation is a high-performing liquid foundation powered by Hyaluronic Acid that's proven to stay put for 24 hours.
"I would like to start by saying that since I have been using the tourmaline line makeup is truly not a necessity. I have been using the dual foundation for years, though, and I still love it so much I actually look forward to applying it every morning. Over time, I have developed a regimen that works like a miracle. I begin by washing my face with the tourmaline exfoliating cleanser and follow with the tourmaline radiance fluid, a touch of the tourmaline hydrating creme, and a lightweight sunscreen. This preparation perfectly hydrates, protects, and primes my skin. I first use a concealer brush to dab the dual foundation around my eyes and to cover any dark spots. I noticed some reviews on here that dissuade using a sponge for application, but I think the key is the type of sponge. I use an egg shaped sponge that hugs the contours of my face. I rinse it in warm water and thoroughly wring it out so it is just slightly damp. I pat the dual foundation gently onto my skin, building coverage as desired. I personally want something that evens skin tone without masking the natural glow the tourmaline products bring out in my skin. The dual foundation does just that. The result is radiant and flawless skin.I first tried this method one night before I went on a date. Over the course of dinner, my date kept mentioning how my face looked smoother than usual. It was funny to see him try to delicately tell me my skin always looked nice, but it looked especially lovely that night. I decided not to let him in on my little secret. « less" - aveda user

"I couldnt remember where I got my sample of Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua broad spectrum spf 15. I looked into every subscription beauty box I receive, including Macys Beauty Box. I ended up at Macys finding this wonderful, life saving foundation or teint as its referred as on the sample. I read the 2nd review listed in this thread and everything she said, I totally agree. You only need a pea size to cover your entire face. After I applied this teint, I had to take a DOUBLE TAKE in the mirror. I'm 57, soon 58. Enlarged pores are my nightmare. Not only does this teint loom like my own skin, it totally blurred my pores. In 6 hours and counting, it has not oxidized, has not settled into fine lines and has not become oily. This base actually looks just like skin. I take great care of my skin and spend the bulk of my splurges on high end skin care. Most days, I dont even wear foundation or a base. I tend to stay with BB Creams or skin tints. Just to even things out. Usually after using powder and setting spray, I good. But, I really havent been satisfied with ANY Brands foundations or skin tints lately until I used my sample of Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. My skin is dry so its imperative I use a base that continues to look dewy but not greasy as my day moves forward. This teint looks just as fresh at 8:00pm as it did at 2:00pm. My complexion is a medium/lightbw/neutral undertones. I can go warm or cool. My sample is spot on as far as matching my skin tone. The sample is 30 BEIGE. I'm here to order the full size. Ladies , if you have dry skin and always find your base setting into fine lines and pores, this teint ix for you! 110%!! Sure, its a bit more expensive than some, and even more so than probably what youre use to spending but, if youre like me and reviewer NO. 2, BUY THIS! You will not regret it. The shade range is broad enough, you should be able to match up. « less" - Macy's user
"This is a natural looking, sheer foundation. It's never cakey, dry, or irritating, and doesn't settle into pores. Good for older, sensitive complexions, it's moisturizing yet controls oil and shine. I'm fair and use the #2 shade, which disappears into my complexion perfectly when applied over a light BB cream. It has a built in twist and shave-type dispensor, and comes with a powder puff, though I prefer a brush for application. Reasonably priced, it lasts through about three months of daily use. Love it!" - Macy's user
"I use the color stick when I swim/surf/dive/boating on/ in the ocean. Not sure if this ad is for clear or color, but I use the colored tone ochre one so I can see where I am putting it! And it stays on through vigorous activities!!! No joke, I even put a dab on our the top front of our sboards and can reapply from there if need be. The texture to me is medium, i dab it on then spread it once I've warmed up and it doesn't dry my skin out. I dont mind the scent as i'm not using it really for 'makeup'. I have to use sunscreen daily and I use this on top for water activities, I would not use this as makeup..... I am looking into the compact for even more coverage, but this stuff is the holy grail for anyone who likes to be in/ on the water and not get burned when the sun is out for 11+ hours a day ( aloha from Hawaii) « less" - Macy's user
"I’m a fan of Perfectionist Serum and Liquid Foundation. This is a light mousse creamy powder, no brush needed. Application over SPF provides buildable light to medium coverage and natural finish. Sturdy compact has a good mirror and divider for the thick sponge. Perfect for travel, easy to apply. Smooth, hydrating, feels barely there. Color match is so close to my skin I can’t tell I’m wearing it, and it’s the same liquid foundation shade I switched over to (N to C). My skin can be dry or combination depending on humidity, but I’ve gotten flawless all day wear. I use a light touch of bronzer powder instead of setting powder. Perfect update to my routine. Purchased a second compact for my travel bag. Another innovative texture and product from EL." - Nordstrom user

"Let me start by saying that by far this is The Best foundation I have tried till this day. I have used a range of products such as MAC, MAKE Up For ever, Chanel, & other CD foundations and none have given me the light look with full coverage and long lasting effect as this one.I believe to have a combination skin since in the summer my skin is oily around the T zone and chin and during the winter it could get a bit dry.Like others have mentioned I have been using this product now for over a 6 months and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! It makes my skin feel like silk & it gives my face a porcelain look, exactly like the dolls. Does not evaporate like others when in the sun or in heat & no need for retouch.I usually do my make up prior to changing into the days wardrobe and the make up actually stays on the face and not the clothes. I have tried with primers and without, with setting sprays and without and the look is FAB.About the compliments, I can honestly say I get compliments almost on a daily basis, The best compliment was after more than 12 hours in a delivery room and not having the time to remove my make up at night the next day shift nurses asked me if I had gotten up early to do my make up for the baby visitors. I laughed and told them that the make up I was wearing was from the day before, talk about LONG LASTING without the retouch.I have recommended the product to a few people and as well as I have fell in love. Will definitely continue to purchase. "Wow, I am completely blown away by this foundation. I rarely venture beyond using a prestige brand of foundation, however the Conceal + Perfect has really thrown me for a loop as a find myself reaching for this daily. For reference, the types of foundations I currently use and alternate between are as follows: Lancome, Armani (Luminous Silk and Powder Fabric), Hourglass (stick), MUF (stick), and Nars (Luminous Glow). I typically seek full coverage without the cake face that usually accompanies such with a slight glow. I feel as if though I've finally found what I'm looking for in one bottle and no longer need to sit at my table and mix formulas every morning to obtain the perfect shade and/or desired coverage. The only thing comparable to this foundation that I can think of is the Urban Decay All Nighter and Estee Lauder Double Wear - both of which were complete fails for me. I found those foundations to oxidize and to be very cakey by mid-day on my dry skin (color selections were excellent though). I find the Conceal + Perfect superior to both. For starters, the coverage of this foundation is amazing, so much so that I find myself using less concealer in my problem areas. I have sun spots and dark under eye circles, and these are easily corrected without color correcting and less concealer. This is a buildable coverage foundation, however one pump alone is more than enough. I don't find myself needing to build any additional coverage after my initial application. Additionally, adding a finishing powder does not make the foundation cakey as it typically would with other brands of foundation. Blending this product is super easy, which is surprising for a thicker and full coverage foundation. I've had great luck with both a beauty blender (dot entire face with foundation and blend out) and a buffing brush (same dotting technique). The new Pur Cosmetics brush which is similar to the Artis 6 Oval brush is my favorite means of application. However, I do find that I have to be more selective with my primer choices when using this foundation. Despite having dry skin, I noticed that my T-zone was getting more oily than usual. This was corrected by using a mattifying primer in that area. In regards to color choices, I was pleasantly surprised by the selection for my skin tone (tan - East Indian decent - purchased shades 10 & 11). I do agree with the other reviews that the options appear to have more of a yellow undertone, however I can only speak for the darker shades in this line. In the instance that you're having trouble finding the right shade, I suggest finding a shade that's close to what you require and mixing it with another foundation in your current collection that is the correct shade (different brand or not), since the formula of the Conceal + Perfect alone is worth adding to what you're currently using. Overall, I recommend at least purchasing this and giving it a shot - if you're unable to find your shade or strike out on the first time, try one more time before giving up (that's what I did). Good luck! « less" - Target user
