Pro-Prime Smudge-Proof Eyeshadow Base by NARS

"I originally bought this primer back in November of last year (2010). It is now mid-June, and I am still continuously impressed with this eyeshadow primer; I literally cannot go a day without it.First off, I have absurdly oily skin, including eyelids. I have the kind of skin where it will be shiny immediately after washing it: not fun. Up until this past year, I just didn't wear eyeshadow on a daily basis because it wasn't worth it for me; when your eyeshadow creases immediately after application, what's the point? I am a huge NARS devotee, though, and when I saw that they were releasing an eyeshadow primer, I decided to give it a shot and see if it lived up to the hype. This primer exceeded my expectations and more, and it does everything it claims to do.The pros: this primer LASTS. Seriously. I went to bed one night after working on an honors thesis all night and was too tired to take off my makeup, and I woke up the next day with my eyeshadow still in place. I can go for TWO DAYS without my eyeshadow creasing or fading substantially, and that's quite a feat for my skin. This primer is also consistently good: it gives me the exact same performance every time I've worn it, absolutely no difference. Application is a breeze: it has a doefoot applicator, and then I just blend with my fingers. I personally don't find that this primer dries too quickly; in fact, I think it has a perfect dry-down time (maybe 5-6 seconds tops). I also find that this primer works well with all eyeshadow brands. I can use everything from NARS to Urban Decay to Covergirl to L'Oreal. I don't use drugstore brand eyeshadow very often, but when I do with this primer, it helps them look their best; with higher-end brands, it makes them look as brilliant and beautiful as they do in the pan, and just generally enhances them. I don't need much to make my eyeshadow stay in place - a smallish dot on each eyelid is enough for me. I find that blending eyeshadow with this primer on is significantly easier and just looks better overall. Finally, the texture is perfect: it's not oily at all, very light but creamy, and you never feel it on your eyelids, not heavy at all.I tend to like this more than Urban Decay's PP, just because I find that eyeshadow blends easier with the NARS primer, and I also find that Urban Decay's original, even though it's supposed to be colorless, sometimes looks a little white on my lids, whereas NARS is always colorless. I find that with Urban Decay's PP, you really have to blend it in well, whereas with NARS, blending is minimal, which I feel also prolongs the primer and, therefore, the eyeshadow itself. This all just may be due to the fact that my skin is SO oily, but if you have super-oily lids and find that not much else works for you, give NARS a shot and see if it can help you out.The cons: only one, and it's pretty minor: you can't see how much is left in the tube. The tube itself is matte white, so you can't see what's inside. However, I've had the same tube since late November and don't anticipate running out of this anytime soon, so I know that they must put in a decent amount in each tube. Don't be put off if you take out the applicator and don't see a ton of primer on the doefoot - the doefoot itself is white, so the primer blends in with the color of the actual doefoot and makes it look as if there isn't a ton of primer on the applicator when, in fact, there is. If you find that this primer really isn't working that well for you, try using less: you really don't need a lot of product with this primer, so try starting out with just a little and work your way up if you find it's not working that well for you.All in all, an absolute HG product for me. I absolutely need this everyday and use it constantly in my makeup routine. It keeps my eyeshadow from creasing and makes them look fabulous, all while being extremely long-lasting. If you have oily lids, or just find that other primers don't really do it for you, definitely give this a try! Less" - Sephora user

Prep + Prime 24-Hour Extend Eye Base by MAC

"I have monolids/hooded lids. I’d say more hooded lids then anything else. But needless to say I have very little “eyeshadow real estate” on my lids and I’ve tried so many primers in my life. Some work and do a decent job but none have resulted in “all day wear” with no shadow in my creases and non-gresey lids. My lids have a tendnecy to sweat or grease up and even the best products won’t stand up. This stuff has been a miracle! I have never, I repeat... NEVER worn eye shadow from 8am till bed at 12 midnight with it looking like it was right when I applied it. I love eyeshadow but almost never wear it because of that and this is life changing. I almost wanted to cry (and it would have stayed put then too!). It goes on and then dries with a little bit of a matte finish. I thought blending out my shadows would pull some off and it doesn’t. Also withstood hot Louisiana heat and humidity on my recent trip! It’s a small tube but a little goes a long way. Regardless, the price is little to pay to be able to wear shadows on a regular basis! « less" - M·A·C user

Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eyeshadow Primer by Too Faced

"Shadow Insurance Eye Shadow Primer is an excellent eye shadow primer. Too Faced makes the best eye shadows which do well on their own, but let's face it, a primer insures exceptional performance. This product helps to keep eye shadows in place until you take them off. Unlike a lot of other primers, this one is colorless, so it doesn't change the color of the eye shadow. Although I do on occasion use tinted primers, if you don't put the exact same amount on both eyes, the intensity of the shadow can be changed. The thing I love about Shadow Insurance is that the colorless formula keeps the shadow colors consistent. Plus, the shadow stays on and doesn't flake or fade. Although I generally stick to a few favorite brands of eye shadow, in particular Too Faced, like most other people, I also have shadows in my collection, be it samples or just plain poorer performing brands, that either don't stay on all day on their own, or fade or change color. Too Faced Shadow Insurance can be used with those cheaper eye shadows which don't always perform well. Shadow Insurance can help those look better than they really are. I first learned about Shadow Insurance when I was in a wedding. The bride wanted the women in the wedding party to use an eye shadow shade she had selected. It was a really cheap drugstore brand just sat on our lids, and then, after about 30 minutes, managed to drift downwards until it ended up on our lower lids. It had to be the worst shadow ever created. The Maid of Honor was very familar with Too Faced and she suggested we all use it. The Shadow Insurance somehow managed to keep the shadow intact for the entire night, which in itself, was a miracle. The color stayed the same as the yucky green dress. (You know what they say about some brides wanting to make sure nobody looks as good as she does? Somehow that held true with her choice of green dresses and that awful green shadow. With all the gorgeous shades of green out there, this bride found the one most unflattering to everyone). At any rate, while the color of the dresses may have been hideous, and the shadow color not much better, at least the Shadow Insurance let us create a great eye shadow that actually stayed on our lids. I threw the shade away as soon as the wedding was over. The point of this story is that it didn't seem as if there was any hope for that awful crumbly disgusting cheap dried out drugstore shadow, but Shadow Insurance saved the day. If you always want dependable results with your shadow application, try Too Faced. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-5991344692440433960-full" data-show="-5991344692440433960-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Double Wear Stay-In-Place EyeShadow Base by Estée Lauder

"There are 3 ways to use this product: tint, primer and mascara enhancer.I find it great as a tint, it's a very natural look. No clumps, no irritation, no mess!As a primer, it is fantastic. By far it's best use. I've used it with the Estee Lauder Double Wear mascara and it really does make a difference. More volume and length can be noticed. It also works with other branded mascaras, so you don't necessarily need to stick with EL mascara with this product (though it does work best). The final use is to make your mascara stick. I found it made a difference to my other branded mascara- it stopped the mascara smudging on your lids after a long day. I didn't notice a difference with my EL mascara staying power though as it doesn't budge anyway! All in all, a fab little product. " - Boots.com user

Prime Time Eyeshadow Primer by bareMinerals

"I've been a BE user for years and recommend others use the lines, most daily (I work at a plastic surgeons office where beauty tips are big). I have a lot of BE eyecolors and mix and match them often for unique looks that match my scrubs and OR hat. I had never tried the eyelid primer and relied on just a concealer instead as my eyes are deep set and dark. I bought this product right before Christmas and OMG my colors pop now! The glimpse colors that I would rarely wear because they were often tooo subtle, now have a place in everyday makeup. The primer applies nicely, you only need very little and dries quickly. I found that not only does it help my makeup stay longer, the brightening effect helps around my dark eyes, and there is no smudging or creasing after long hours. Not to mention the amount of eyecolor you need is significantly less than what I had been using. When I first applied the shadow, ihad to start over because the amount I normally use was wayyy too much with the primer. It definitely extend your shadows 'go' power. I can see this tiny tube lasting forever too. If you buy loose powder shadows like B.E. You need this! Also keeps my cateye eyeliner look from smudging which is a plus! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="6070774177208330396-full" data-show="6070774177208330396-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - ulta.com user

Photo Finish Lid Primer by Smashbox

"I have been using this product for years, and will never buy a different primer, though I have purchased primers from almost every line out there. For me it works better than even Urban Decay, Too Faced, Tarte, Benefit, Bare Escentuals, etc. It goes on in a light nude color, is creamy to blend and then settles to a matte finish that simply won't budge. Shadows blend on it very easily and stay put ALL DAY. The colors of your shadow are magnified and the pigments are rich and true. You can blend with a brush easily but once you are done it won't move. I have oily eyes and they crease with other primers, but with this they don't crease at all, even 10 hours in. I use any gentle eye remover, and my eyes are never dry or irritated. For cons, I think this tint won't work on everyone since the product is thick - I am caucasian with fair/medium skin, so it works on me but probably not on darker skin tones. Note: there are a few products I feel are almost as good as this, and I'll explain their pros and cons: Too Faced (works perfectly and is more sheer; but is harder to remove; and creases itself, so you have to blend it); Bare Escentuals also works really well but is harder to remove. I personally don't want to use a harsher eye makeup remover daily. « less" - Beauty.com user

Glitter Primer by NYX Professional Makeup

"I originally purchased this primer to use with a new glitter shadow palette, but I ended up using it on a daily basis, no matter what kind of eyeshadow I was applying over it. I mostly wear shimmer shadows, but the product will work with mattes as well. The primer stays on and keeps eyeshadow on all day-even high end eyeshadow, until I remove my makeup at night. The only issue I have ever had is with the tube itself. The tip the primer comes out of always eventually falls off, but being a drugstore brand, I really can't complain about that. I just store the tube in a ziploc bag and it is just fine. I will never waste money on another eyeshadow primer." - ulta user

Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue by Too Faced

"The older I get (I'm 39), the more hooded my eyelids are. This has meant not only changing the way I do my eye makeup but also struggling hard to keep my eyeliner from transferring onto my newly made-up eyelid. For at least two years, I lived with the frustration of having to redo my eye makeup not once but twice a day simply because my eyeliner would make its way onto the crease of my eyelid. Some mornings I wouldn't even get out of the bathroom without my eyeliner transferring. I tried everything. Watched every video. Switched my eyeliner a thousand times. NOTHING worked. Then I got an Urban Decay sample eyelid primer from Sephora, and my eyeliner stopped transferring!! Only problem: the UD primer was pretty cakey. My eyelids ended up looking dry and crackly with it.Even still, I was gonna order a full-size UD primer because I LOVED that my eyeliner transfer problem was solved - I could deal with the cakiness. ....And then I saw reviews that pointed me to Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Everyone was saying it was less drying than but just as good as UD. I confirmed that Too Faced was cruelty free, like UD, and decided to order it instead.Too Faced Shadow Insurance is a game-changer.Anyone with hooded eyelids needs this stuff. Not only does my eyeliner NOT transfer even a little... but my eye makeup stays on all day, looking fresh and fab. I now do my eye makeup once a day - not multiple times. Here's what I do, if it helps you:1) Don't use moisturizer around your eyes in the morning.2) Apply a teensy amount of TFSI on each eyelid and let it dry.3) Apply eyeliner.4) **Without blinking or lifting my eyelids,** quickly swipe a little translucent powder over the eyeliner to set it. (I haven't tried not doing this step. It works, so Imma keep doing it.)5) Apply the rest of my makeup as normal.More people need to know about this stuff and use it. I plan to use it for life. Get it. Get it. Get it. « less" - Sephora user

Pro Filt'r Amplifying Eye Primer by Fenty Beauty

"Best eye primer I've ever used hands down I'll never buy another! I live in a humid climate and work in a restaurant and am constantly having to check my eye shadow to pat any creasing back into place even with other eye primers and powder to set. First time I tried this out my work was insanely busy and when I finally had time to check my make up at the end of the night I expected there to be some kind of creasing but couldn't believe I had NONE AT ALL!! And it really does amplify your eyeshadow it took my go to everyday colors to a wholeeee different level! I'll have my shadow on for a 12 hour day and it still looks just as vibrant and fresh as when I first put it on. Some people complained about the tackyness but it doesn't last long once it dries and you put powder or shadows on it. The tacky texture is what makes shadow stick so if a tacky eye lid for all or 2 minutes it what it takes to be crease free then sign me up! I apply it evenly to the center of my lid and blend up into my brow bone and set it with a little powder since my lids tend to be oily. I was questioning buying this for a long time but was tired of my eyeshadow being wasted and sliding everywhere and I'm so glad I did! Thank you ri ri for another amazing product!!" - sephora user

Touch Base For Eyes by Clinique

"Over the last 20-odd years, I've strayed off and on away from Touch Base in Up-Lighting, thinking that I could find something better. But I can't because there is nothing like it. The Touch Bases are unique in that they are non-irritating, unscented, light, and STAY WHERE YOU PUT THEM. Amazingly, they do not run or smear or crease, and yet they are not heavy on your lids. The color I use, Up-Lighting, is very unusual in the world of eyeshadows as it is a strange combo of violet, taupe, and brown in a super-subdued blend. Creamy, moisturizing and very easy to apply with a pinky or ring finger, I come back time and time again. Nothing like it on the market. I also use the Canvas for highlighting, and am thinking of trying the Nude Rose next. But if you have to choose one, go with Up-Lighting (especially if you have my coloring-blue eyes, dark ash brown hair, fair skin). Amazing product and color. Hint: since this is a creme product, make sure to keep the compact shut tight. They tend to evaporate and dry out otherwise. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-6296567724954973032-full" data-show="-6296567724954973032-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - clinique.com user

Behind The Scenes Eye Primer by Lorac

"I gotta say, I didn't expect much from this primer. I got the deluxe sample with my Lorac Pro 2 Palette and didn't use it for months until I was running out of my favorite Urban Decay primer potion and wanted to try new ones out. I have very sensitive skin and oily lids (although the rest of my face and body is as dry as the Sahara). It actually is the only primer other than the U.D. that will make my eyeliner stay put and not transfer to the top of my lid. It mattifies my lids so nicely and doesn't really have a color, just makes everything blur, which is good in my opinion. Downside for me though, is that I have to put the primer on when I put my face primer on, since it takes so long to dry. Maybe it's because I have oily lids, but if I don't wait a good amount of time before putting my eyeliner on, it will transfer to the top of my lid. Other than that, great product! I bought the full size even though I have to deluxe sample still, mainly because it was on sale (XD)" - ulta user

Eye Basics Primer by Laura Mercier

"Wow. This stuff is amazing. I just turned 33 and my skin has changed...a lot. It’s dry-ish now when it used to be oily. The first time I used this, I thought it was TOO glowy. But once I was finished with my makeup, I sprayed rose water hydrating mist all over my face. And it was PERFECT. I used it all over my face as a setting powder but it’s so fine that the light only hits the high points, so you don’t look like a disco ball.Spraying some kind of hydrating or setting mist over this is definitely recommended as it makes it look natural, like your skin is just super healthy and glowing!Y’all, my skin looked better than it did when I was 20. Even my husband noticed and said I was gorgeous, which doesn’t happen as often as I need to hear it!I would def recommend as an all-over setting powder to anyone who has normal to dry skin. If you have oily skin, this could work on top of a normal mattifying powder and then locked in with a long lasting setting powder, like UD. Less" - Sephora user

Aquatique Waterproof Eye Color Base by Lancôme

"I got this as a sample in a gift and just started using it. It is awesome!! Eyeshadow not only stays on all day, but it's smooth and makes my liner show more. This is superior by far to other eyeshadow primers. I've tried several of good brands. They often make the eyeshadow color brighter which I don't like. I spend a lot of time getting the color I want. I don't want a primer to change the color. This product doesn't. As I write this I've had it on for 13 hours and it's still perfect, went shopping, slept, mowed the lawn -- active day and it still looks like I just put my shadow on. Highly recommend it. I'm a long time Lancome user, but they are winning me over more and more with products that are superior to the other brands. Love this product and will buy again. " - Macy's user

Eye Base Essentials by Trish McEvoy

"Since this is a new product for the Trish McEvoy line I was a little leery of purchasing three of these wands but after reading the reviews and doing my research I felt perfectly comfortable. These wands are a fast easy solution to a very beautiful but natural look. I purchased"Natural" which works both as a perfect base for eye shadows allowing them to stay on longer or just to provide a smoothness to cover any imperfections to the eye lid area. The second is the color"Linen" which adds a light beige appearance to the lid and lower eye area or to be used in the crease of the eye for definition. This to me is beautiful so I am now after a darker shade to achieve slightly more definition. Last is the "Instant Eye Lift", an incredible light weight concealer, brightener with smoothing properties to help fill in the fine lines for a look of sheer perfection. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - saksfifthavenue.com user

Tinted Smudge-Proof Eyeshadow Base by NARS

"I was having a really hard time paying this amount for an eyeshadow primer since I don't wear shadow daily. After trying multiple less expensive ones I finally just gave up and bought the NARS primer. Am I glad I did! 1. It goes on translucent which was really a plus because I don't have the steadiest hands. 2. Every single primer I tried showed every single line, dried out my lids or made my lids look crapey (sp?) but not this one! It goes on smoothly and really evens out the tone of my lid without making it look dry and papery. Even with the evened out tone, it doesn't change the color of my lids (I'm sure it does a bit but not as much as the tinted ones). 3. I have a new love for shadows now that I know what the color can look like with a good primer.I spent more money trying many other primers when I should have just bought this one in the beginning. Just get it in the first place, you absolutely won't regret it. Less" - ulta.com user

Lid Lock Up Eyeshadow Primer by Covergirl

"I have incredibly oily skin and eyelids. I've been using UDPP (and other prestige brands) for at least 15 years now and haven't found anything that works better on me. I've noticed in the past 5 years that their formula seems to be thinner and doesn't have the lasting power that it used to have, so I was looking for something new. Enter Cover Girl Lid Lock Up Eyeshadow Primer. Not only is this a reasonably priced item (especially if it's on sale!), but it's less than half the cost of what I was using. First application was a bit too thick, so it creased on my eyelid before it had a chance to set well. The second time I used it, I tried the "less is more" approach and it worked like a charm. Tap it on over your eyelids and let it set/dry-down for a moment or two before applying shadow. I highly recommend using eyeshadow brushes for application because the shadow will apply easier and you won't wind up with over and underapplied, streaky application. It does have a bit of a learning curve to learn how to apply shadow over, but once you have it down, it's LOCKED. Normally, I would find my lids starting to look oily or starting to crease at the end of a work day. This past weekend, I had a party to go to after work and it was the first time I didn't have to touch up my eyeshadow before going out! It's not a holy grail for gals with oily skin...you will still get some slight fading and creasing at the end of a very long day/night, but this is hands down the best eyeshadow primer I have used in several years. Totally didn't see that coming, Cover Girl! Less" - ulta.com user

Panda's Dream Brightening Eye Base by TONYMOLY

"As someone who barely gets enough sleep during the school year, this product is a life-saver for my dark circles. The consistency of the product is kind of pasty where I prefer to use my fingertip to apply it to make sure I get a substantial amount of product around my eyes. You actually do not need a lot to use on both eyes, so the product can actually last you a pretty long time. I have a darker complexion, so when I apply it onto my face, the white really stands out. Fortunately, it is fairly easy to blend in with my fingers, but it doesn't exactly blend in 100%. I don't really mind considering I only use this product before I go to bed at night (the color disappear when I wake up after a few hours). I would recommend using foundation or a concealer on top to blend/hide the white if you plan on using this in the morning. There is a subtle fruity scent to it when applying, but it disappears as soon as it is absorbed. As for the effects, I'm highly satisfied after using this product for a little over two weeks now. My dark circles are virtually gone even after a restless or sleepless night. It really brightens up my eyes so I don't look like a zombie in the morning. Also, I've noticed that it reduces the appearance of the fine lines under my eyes which is a definite plus. It is slightly hydrating around my eyes as well. The packaging is a lot smaller than I expected, but considering the effects of it and how little you actually need to apply it, it's totally worth it. Would recommend to anyone. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - yesstyle.com user

Stay Don't Stray Eyeshadow Primer by Benefit

"Since this is listed as a concealer *primer*, I bought this with high hopes that it would prevent my creamier concealers from sliding all over my face as I am trying to put it on - which is terribly annoying when you are running late. I have never understood a product that refuses to stay where you put it. What's the point?Well, Benefit came to the rescue, and this is a real time saver. However, even this product has its shortcomings. It is great as an eyeshadow primer as well, but the color of this product as a concealer primer is not made for all skin tones. It is a very light peachy beige, and on my golden brown skin it tends to show through in a camera flash. Not good.Sooo, the wheels started turning, and next I did this: I added (cosmetic grade) orange pigment to turn this into a pumkin peachy color corrector. The great thing about this product is you can change its color easily, and customize it to suit your skin tone. It wasn't easy getting it open, but I see now there is A LOT of product in there. I made two 3 gram jars of my own correcting concealer (which instantly vanishes my dark circles and spots), and there is just plenty more to keep going.Adding cosmetic grade pigment did not change the efficacy of the product. It goes on smoothly and blends well. And it lasts all day and night. My regular skin concealer easily applies right over this, and I can avoid the use of foundation - totally flawless. I was worried about cakeness, but the concealer primer didn't get thicker, just a better color corrector for me.The pumps distributes a bit too much, so putting it in tiny jars helps to control the amount used day to day. It stays just as creamy in the jar, just remember to seal tightly after each use.So, if you have medium to deeper skin and are concerned it might be too light as a concealer primer, you can easily adjust the color of the product itself. Hope this helps! « less" - Sephora user

Put A Lid On It Eyelid Primer by theBalm

"I've been wanting to try The B's products after hearing such positive things; I went ahead and purchased the full size of this on a whim without sampling first. I'd recently been disappointed to realize that my HG noted primer was causing my left eye (yes, only the L!) to water continually, so I was unsure if this product had similar ingredients. Well I am pleased to report this primer stays on my lids all day, and even after 12 hrs., I can detect very little crease settling. I found it true that as other reviewers have noted, this product has a bit of a "greasy" feel upon application-- however, less is surely more, and it dries quickly for a smooth base. I apply this after my eye cream is absorbed, then follow up w cream or powder shadow, both of which wear extremely well under this primer. For the price, I am positive this will last a VERY long time, and I suspect, longer than other comparably sized products. Thank you to birchbox & The Balm-- can't wait to try more from this breakthrough brand! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Birchbox user

Photoready Eye Primer + Brightener by Revlon

"I've actually been searching for a product like this, since I've always had dark circles under my eye's & it always seemed impossible to find one that actually works & lasts all day long. Well finally this is the one! Not only does this help conceal the darkness under my eye's, it brightens & doubles as a primer! I actually really like the type of applicator it has, I don't mind turning it to get more of the product out. It works best for me if I sweep this under my eyes & over my eyelids, then I dab & smooth it over with my finger tip & just like that the darkness is so much brighter! I just love that it helps freshen up my face & helps me look more energized instead of looking tired with my issue with dark circles! Besides how great it works, this is SO easy to use, feels very lightweight on my face, that I can't even feel it! It's smooths right on & doesn't effect my make up any way at all. (It doesn't crease or seperate) I used this yesterday around 10am & paid close attention to see how long it would last on my face while very busy & running around & happy to say it lasted ALL DAY, (around 6-7pm) plus it's Talc, oil, & paraben free, such an amazing product that I'll buy & use, over & over again! Eye Primer 24H Eyeshadow Base by Bourjois

"I ordered this primer thinking it was just a simple eye primer. I'd never had an eye primer before so I was super enthusiastic to try it. Too enthusiastic, you might say. I got myself settled at my dressing table and started applying this to my eye lid with gusto, right up to my brow bone. It seemed to make sense at the time. I let it dry, then went to do my brows. I noticed straight away that something was different. I am not exactly good at applying make up, I kind of chuck it on and then clean up later. But with this primer, everything I chucked on, stayed chucked. Welded, even. It was then that I picked up the little tube and saw that it was a 24 hour super stay primer. I looked back up at the mirror, at my wonky, mismatched Brows and the ill-advised grey eyeshadow I'd applied, that didn't suit me in any way whatsoever but I'd wanted to try it, and I picked up a tissue and tried to take it off. Nothing happened. I began to panic. Somehow, using my sharpest fingernail, I managed to scrape off the mega grandad brow that I'd applied to my head and fashioned two more or less equal eyebrows that wouldn't scare small children. The grey eyeshadow wasn't shifting, so I covered it with some purple eyeshadow that did suit me and blended it on top, and the finished look was so good I got compliments when I went out later! All was good until bedtime, when I tried to remove my eye makeup. Hilarious. No way was that stuff coming off. Amazing product. Like make up glue. Ideal for people who have a little more sophisticated approach to make up than I do! « less" - feelunique.com user

HydraGel Lift Under Eye Perfecting Primer by pür

"My friend was gifted this and a lip gloss awhile back and said she would give it to me as "she does'nt need it." Seeing that she had never even tried it I used it then and there in her mirror. I absolutely LOVED it! My cocealer has never looked so smooth and my undereyes so hydrated but not puffy! Fast forward two weeks. I get back out near her house as she lives nowhere near me now. I WANTED that primer!!! (had forgot it at her house after using it once) and could'nt remember who it was by,🤔 and only very little about the packaging. I run to her vanity and search for it and she comes up behind me and says "Ohhh. You're after that primer thingy are'nt you? I threw it away.🤤 I figured when you used it and then left it here, you did'nt like it either!" So I asked who it was by and she said "I never looked tbh." 😤 Since then I have been looking. I finally found it! And I will never let it out of my sight again.😍😙 Thank you for such a great product PC!Cheers xo « less" - purcosmetics.com user

Glitter Glue by Ben Nye

"Lasted all night, flaked a little towards the end but it was understandable since I was dancing and smiling a good amount throughout the night. Exceeded expectations and dried reasonably fast so layering and packing on glitter was aw some. Waited about 45 minutes for a second layer and it held as good as the first " - camerareadycosmetics.com user

Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Eye Primer by Marc Jacobs Beauty

"I am obsessed with the concealer and this primer by MJ!!! I tried various primers for my hooded and rather oily lids and nothing worked as well. Most of the other brands' primers dry my lids and make makeup look cakey even when I use a light dusting of shadow or a cream until they too blend away from my lids... but this primer STAYS ON without drying or creasing! The amount of product you get in the tube is fair for the price as it lasts long because you need just a tiny amount. I apply it by dabbing on with a tiny beauty blender. If I am wearing a dark cream liner I do set it with Laura Mercier translucent powder, otherwise I don't bother setting as it stays put. It has a hint of colour that covers the redness and small veins perfectly but it is a lighter shade so when I tan, I do lightly brush over some bronzer or face powder. Less" - Sephora user

Long Wear Eye Base by Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

"The Medium tone of this product is indistinguishable from my Natural (4) foundation. I have typical hooded Asian eyelids and in the 15 years I've experimented with/worn makeup, any attempt to wear eyeliner (or any eyeshadow, for that matter) has ended with clumped and creased eyeliner by mid-day. The only way I could get eyeliner to last the entire day was if I wore water-proof formulas, but as I have aged I've found myself moving away from the stark lines that those formulas produce. I would try wearing powdery eye shadows beneath my pencil or anti-smudge eyeliner formulas, but nothing did the trick. Enter this Long-Wear Eye Base. It has literally changed my relationship with eye makeup. No more smudging. No more creasing. I apply a small dollop of it near the fold of my eyelid and pat it on, making sure to cover the bottom lid as well, so the shadow/liner doesn't smudge when I close my eyes and turn me into a raccoon. I then go over it with my favorite matte and shimmer eye shadows, line my eyes CONFIDENTLY with Bobbi's Perfectly Defined Gel Eyeliner, et voila! I can look in the mirror 10 hours later and have my eye makeup in place looking just as it did when I applied it in the morning! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="2389270305770074654-full" data-show="2389270305770074654-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - bobbibrowncosmetics.com user

No Makeup Eyeshadow by Perricone MD

"You will either love this product or think it is a waste of money! But that only depends on your prefrences and expectations. I've always been looking for a product to enhance and brighter my eyelids w/o making it look like eyeshadow or makeup, conceales would usually dry out eyelid skin and end up creasing after hours...this product though....is beauty and skincare in one! This is like the magic eye potion I've been looking for my entire life and I'm so happy to have found it through Lisa Eldridge's no makeup makeup video...this product is like none other and I'll keep purchasing it. Perricone MD please keep making this magical product. In terms on longevity it stays beautifully on the eyes until you remove it. It blends so seamlessly you can never tell there's sth on your eyes even looking at a 10x magnifying mirror! And for me it vividly softens my eyelid and fine lines immediately disappear! If you still wanna go for a more playful look and put eyeshadow on, this would perform as one the best eyeshadow primers out there!I guess this product has been underrated, you gotta see how amazing this is.NOW BARE IN MIND if you're NOT into natural, no-makeup makeup look, sth so seamless you can't say you're wearing anything, then this might not be for your preferences (still you can love it as an eye primer). But I love it and keep purchasing it again « less" - perriconemd.com user

Advanced Eye Fix Primer by Elizabeth Arden

"I've been searching for a great eyeshadow primer. I've been using ones that have a wand applicator and I really don't like those because they dry up too easily and too much of the product gets wasted/left in the tube. I love that this comes in a squeeze tube, you can easily dispense the amount you want and the product stays fresh. The product is very creamy, but not oily or greasy, it just glides on and is very blendable, it feels like velvet on your skin. It is lightly tinted and looks so natural I can wear it alone just to conceal my eyelid discoloration, it really brightens up my eyelids. It never flakes, dries out my eyes, and I haven't had any irritation from it. I get truer eyeshadow colors from using this, and my eyeshadow stays on, without creasing, until I remove it at night. A Macy's saleslady recommended this to me and I with I had discovered it sooner. This is so much better than those other brands which are so trendy now, I've tried too many of those only to have wasted my money. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Macy's user

Hyaluronic Eye Primer by By Terry

"I shy away from Hyaluronic products as they do nothing for my dry skin.I was a bit dubious about this as an 'in-between' product between treatment and make-up. However: it works! It is superb: I use it as a 'evener' all over the eye socket, it does not pull or feel dry unlike most concealer. I can use it all the way to the eyelashes and have no 'reaction': I have chronic allergies/sinus problem so often wake with puffy or uneven eyelids and this sorts it out quite well.I can even skip the make-up stage as it looks natural yet 'smart' enough. Smooth Canvas Long Wear Shadow Primer by BH Cosmetics

"OK so where do I start. I got the color malt bc I didn't know what color I should choose and went with a YT that was my skin tone advice. The color is like a grey lavender and I was like oh no but it really is perfect for hiding my very pronounced veins under my brow bone. Hides discoloration very well and dries down pretty quickly. I wouldn't say this is the easiest thing in the world to blend but it works I use my finger. It allows my shadow to stay strong all day and is creamy to the touch. I was very impressed with this . I was just concerned they didn't have a pale girl skin tones color. I think i was try the darker shades for a smokey eyes look even though malt works great with all colors" - bhcosmetics.com user

Lemon Aid Color Correcting Eyelid Primer by Benefit

"i love lemon-aid! its now part of my essential beauty kit. it can be used to contour, conceal, and brighten your whole face. i use it around my eyes and use primer beforehand or mattifying spray after because i have very oily skin. used with primer, it lasts all day on ultra-oily skin. its also a decent eyeshadow base. you can use lemon-aid to highlight your face if you want to do some quick contouring. i have dusky undertones so i was worried it wouldnt look natural but it works fine! everyone of every skin tone can use a yellow toned concealer. if you combine with a peach/neutral concealer and dabbed on top of illuminator, it goes a long way to hide eye discoloration and puffiness. lastly, use it around your eyebrows to give them the recently plucked look." - Sephora user

Pure Color Envy Sculpting Eyeshadow by Estée Lauder

"I am in love with this palette since I have discovered it ! The colors are very pigmented and beautiful, they last all day. I have very reactive eyes and I am used to make allergies to eye shadows, but those one are very soft and safe. At least I have found a beautiful palette with pigmented colors for my fragile eyes. I like the brushes too because they have different tips, it is useful if you don't have your own brushes. " - Estée Lauder user

Proof 10 Eye Primer by Etude House

"I don't know where eye shadow migrates to when I wear it but it NEVER stayed on my eyelids. I could never afford the urban decay one that this is a dupe of so I used to just make do with a Smashbox primer, until now! Please always continue to carry this product Sokoglam and I will always buy it from you. It's really easy to use: I just dab some on my eyelid with the brush then use my finger to smoothe the primer over my lid. Follow that with whatever eyeshadow I feel like using and voila! My eye make-up stayed on for 10 hours with NO creases! Using the Smashbox primer I used to get a humongous crease of eyeshadow that was like a ridge of color popping out of my eyelid, not anymore. Thanks Sokoglam! " - sokoglam.com user
