Highliner Gel Eye Crayon by Marc Jacobs Beauty

"I really like this MJB Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon and after having used them for about a month now, I’d have to say I’m really impressed! I received these in the colors (Earth)quake (a dark brown) and Over(night) (a deep blue). What I love most about these eyeliners is how smooth and creamy they are. As I get older, my eyelids aren’t as smooth and as taut as they used to be, so some pencil type eyeliners tend to tug and pull at my lids, end up skipping, and being streaky, thus making it more time consuming than it should be to apply eyeliner. With these Highliners, however, I don’t have that issue! Since they are so pigmented (my boyfriend actually commented on how vivid my eyeliner looked when I was wearing Over(night), and he never notices those kinds of things) and have a gel formula, applying them in a nice clean line is really easy! The built-in sharpener in the bottom of the pencil is also a nice touch!Another thing I love about them is they are long lasting… and waterproof! I’ve worn both of the colors for about 10 hours straight and tested them on both the upper lid and lower lash line/waterline, and they lasted pretty well! It’s awesome because when you first apply the eyeliner, you have a little bit of time to smudge them for any smoky eye looks, but after a couple of minutes they don’t budge. I even tried rubbing my winged liner a few times with my finger (which probably didn’t do my eyelid any favors haha), and to my surprise it didn’t smudge at all (keep in mind I have normal to dry lids). I also swatched them on my hand, ran it under water and tried to rub the eyeliner swatches off, but again, they didn’t disappear or smudge and had very minimal fading. My eyes can get pretty watery, so after a few hours I did notice some fading on the outer parts of my waterline, but besides that, everything was pretty much intact until I removed my makeup that night (I just used my usual waterproof eye makeup remover, and it removed them pretty well with no issues).I’m hoping they expand the colors in this collection (which are inspired by Marc Jacob’s boldly bright resort 2017 collection) and eventually add a black eyeliner because it would probably be my holy grail black pencil/gel liner! « less" - Sephora user

Tarteist Double Take Eyeliner by Tarte

"This is my favorite black eyeliner. I have Asian eyes and I am always on the lookout for jet black eyeliners. I have tried so many brands from Mac to Clinique, Stila, Lancôme and what not but this is by the the best and the darkest black eyeliner that’s smooth to apply and stays on for hours without smudging. I discovered this eyeliner when I was shopping at Macy’s and the sales person showed me this pencil. I was thrilled to see the precision and the depth of the color. I picked up three pencils ( 2 sex kitten and 1 Tartiest ). And since then I am hooked to these pencils and pens. It’s been over a year I am using them. I have tried other eyeliners in between for the sake of experimentation but none is even close to what Tarte eyeliner are, I LOVE ?? these eyeliner and request you please don’t change the formula ever and never ever take this product away from the market. Please share some special deals on these pencils and I will buy them in bulk. Less" - tartecosmetics.com user

ColorStay 2-In-1 Angled Kajal Eyeliner by Revlon

"I received this Colorstay Revlon 2 in 1 angled kajal eyeliner in the Onyx color from Revlon and Crowdtap for free for my honest opinion, i am pretty impressed with it,the angle of the pencil allows me to get a clean precise line every time and the angled brush at other end allows you to pull the tip of liner out for winged look,it is really a nice eyeliner and the style is impeccable,It is a nice creamy look on the eyes and does not smear or smudge like some others i have tried and is long wearing,it is also opthalmologist tested for use on the warterline and that is awesome too. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a nice eyeliner pencil with angled tip and brush. It is long wear too, for me it lasted all day and evening and i did not have to reappply it at anytime through the day or night. Cream Shaper For Eyes by Clinique

"Where to start, where to start...There are so many pros to this product! First of all, I have yet to find another pencil that goes on as smoothly and quickly as this one! Often, pencils can be a bit difficult to manuever in order to acheive your desired result, but this one glides right on. It has absolute staying power! Believe me, this is built to last through a long, crazy day-All while still looking as fabulous as the minute you put it on. However, even with a great eye makeup remover, it does take some muscle to remove it. That seems fair given how well it holds up. If you love a subtle smudge like me, this is ideal. Make sure it's slightly dulled if this is your plan. When sharpened to perfection, the lines are clean and solid. I love Egyptian, which really compliments my hazel eyes. The slight tints of green add a little pop of color when I do simple, basic makeup for my days at work. At the same time, it translates well for a more dramatic look. Definitely worth a try! You're going to love it! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="4640874306840277632-full" data-show="4640874306840277632-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Macy's user

Double Wear Infinite Waterproof Eyeliner by Estée Lauder

"I use Kohl Noir which is a true matte black colour. It is long lasting on both the eye lid and water line, however, as with any application on the water line, it does fade a little on the edges so you may need to reapply, although I never bother as it still looks fine. Once dry, it doesn’t smudge or transfer which is great and it also lasts through hot humid weather. As far as waterproof goes, I would say it is but I'm not sure how it fairs if you intend on wearing in a swimming pool but definitely great in humidity. I bought my second kohl noir thinking I had run out but turns out it hadn’t! I don’t wear makeup everyday but I’ve had my eyeliner for almost 2 years and it’s still going! I only ever apply a thin line on my eye lid if I am using false lashes but otherwise I would choose a gel or eye shadow creme for the lid. I don’t use the rubber smudger as I find it drags a bit. I like the fact that it’s retractable so there really isn’t the need to sharpen- it does come with a sharpener which I don’t use but could be useful if you like a sharper point for more precise application.I recently purchased the deep plum shade- I would say it’s more of a deep purple aubergine colour. It also has a slight pearly shimmer to it which is ok but I would much prefer if it were completely matte. « less" - Estée Lauder user

When Pencil Met Gel by julep

"These eyeliners are amazing! I have always hated putting on liner, but when I reached my mid-thirties, my eyes started to appear smaller and not as bright, so I started using liner daily and found that it makes a huge difference. This gel formula is so easy to apply, even for someone not used to putting on liner. It stays on all day, yet is easy to remove at the end of the day, unlike the other brand I've been wearing, which is a 24 hour formula. I love all the colors available, but I got the smoky plum in a free gift package, and it is AMAZING. It's the perfect color for me... unlike black or brown, it doesn't age me or smudge and cause dark circles, and it's more work appropriate than the white and silver liners I tend to gravitate toward. Over all this is my favorite product since joining Maven 6 months ago." - ulta user

Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner by Chanel

"Chanel's regular pencil eyeliner has no lasting power whatsoever when I apply it, but upon reliable recommendation, I bought the Stylo Long Lasting liner and immediately saw what all the hype was about. I can apply the liner in the morning and go without touchups nearly all day (10-12 hours). Admittedly, I am a bit of a stickler for pristinely applied makeup, so I am likely more prone to touching up my face than the average woman! This formula is not the smoothest in application, but it works and the colour payoff is excellent. There is no tugging, and it can be smudged out with a brush, though I like it for precise definition. My only complaint is that it took me a few times to master sharpening the liner with the built-in sharpener. The key is not to wind up too much of the product because it can snap when it gets caught in the sharpening device. One doesn't get a lot of product for her buck, but the balancing factor is that one doesn't need to reapply or use too much in the first place.I wish there were some more dynamic and sparkly permanent colours in this eyeliner range. The hues available are classic and fool-proof, so like most Chanel products, there's no going wrong. I would definitely repurchase this product, and have already, and am pretty loath to try any other high-end liners again unless there proves to be a worthy competitor. « less" - Nordstrom user

Luster Glide Silk Infused Eyeliner by chantecaille

"I had tried Tom Ford's eyeliner pencil which I liked very much. It was easy to smudge, but the cap always hit the tip, flattening it. I had to be too careful to lightly place it on, and the color wasn't black enough, so I tried this Chantecaille pencil. This one has the right amount of pigment, but it isn't smudgable, so I have to be very careful where I place it. My eyelids are made from skin, not glass, and it is a bit difficult to create a clean line. I have to put it right up against my lashes and then fill in any skipped areas afterward. The five star review is because it stays on all day without fail. The color is just as intense in the evening when I remove my makeup. The surround to the pencil doesn't appear to be made of wood, and I can't figure out what it is. I have to sharpen it and then lift the sharpener straight up to cut the surrounding material. Like the Tom Ford pencil, the cap squishes the tip of the pencil, so be careful putting on the tip, and always bring a sharpener with you if you are away from home. « less" - Nordstrom user

Goddess Pencil by Eye of Horus

"I was fortunate to be able to try this product as part of the July discovery bag. It was a brand I had never heard of before but I can tell you I was very impressed! I trialled this product in the colour smokey black. The packaging was beautiful and classy with black and gold embossing.PROS:*Stays put all day - literally!! (I apply my make up at 6:30am and don't remove until after tea. My foundations fades but this really didn't move. No shifting into the waterline and irritating my eyes!)*non-irritating*no creasing (particularly good if you have hooded eyelids)*easy to sharpen*glides on effortlessly - very smooth texture*smudge tip allows for seamless blending if you want a more smoky look.*Highly pigmentedCONS:Nothing! The product was fantastic quality and I was very pleased with how it lasted. The bottom line is I would repurchase this and plan on getting some for my sister as she doesn't wear a lot of make up but likes to define her eyes so I think this would be perfect. Yes $30 seems a lot for an eyeliner but I think this product would last for ages and it truly is the best one of used in terms of staying power. Less" - eyeofhoruscosmetics.com user

Nourishing Eye Liner by Neutrogena

"★★★★★★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars. you · a few seconds agoGr8 product design/stays on-not 100%waterproof yetHighly recommend this product that goes on ez &stays on long.Unlike most cheaper liners I've tried,it doesn't run or smear down onto my face since it actually stays on my eye lids right where I put it (not under my eyes creating dark spots) even though it's not 100% waterproof yet. Spiced chocolate is my ideal shade so far, but I wish Neutrogena will soon create more colors of this liner for variety to mix in&match with clothing, mood, etc. My eyes are greenish/brown so my eye makeup/clothing colors can change how my eyes appear either more green or brown. I truly hope to see any/all of the following shades available soon for this eyeliner from Neutrogena: Deep olive,(Khaki=greenish brown),Tawny, dark green,)Dark teal=greenish blue)Plum\deep purple,Dark gray. Metallic solids:&/or infused metallic sparkles/flakes of copper, bronze, gold, (metallic sparkles infused into solid shades( ie-spiced chocolate with either gold/bronze or copper metallic sparkles, black with gold sparkles, etc) I hope to continue using this product for a long time now that I discovered it,for as long as I can still find it in stores. PLEASE DO NOT DISCONTINUE MAKING this product NEUTROGENA. Feel free to use my suggestions above to expand on &add more shades for variety &consider a 100% waterproof version if possible. « less" - Neutrogena user

Technakohl Liner by MAC
4.4(1041)$19

"I'm used to drugstore brands so I wouldn't know how this compares to the other expensive lines, but I have to say it made a great first impression on me. The texture is soft and creamy, the color (I have one in black) really does glide and is intense, and the best part is it doesn't smudge. Well okay maybe it does with some rubbing, but I wasn't wearing any kind of foundation when trying this on and the lines stayed perfect all night. Not sure about the 'thin precision' part, though. The top end is sort of blunt and because the texture is so creamy, you might want to stick to using tapered eyeliner brushes to create the perfect cat-eye look. Otherwise this baby is more than just acceptable--I think I'm pretty much hooked to M.A.C now. I just wish it wasn't so soft because I would like the pencil to last longer, considering the price. « less" - Nordstrom user

Exaggerate Eye Definer by Rimmel

"I love this eyeliner. I've been using it for about a year now. Having not previously got on too well with liquid eyeliners, I thought I'd try this one because the applicator is quite firm, so you don't get brush bristles splaying out everywhere and making a mess. This is so easy to apply and is thick enough that it doesn't run into your eyes and make them sting. The black eyeliner is very black and lasts all day. There is a slight fading toward the end of the work day, but it takes a few seconds to touch up if you're heading out again straight from work. The staying power is great as it doesn't smudge - and is in fact reasonably hard to smudge even if you rub it with your finger. I often end up with it on the ends of my fingers and it's hard to wash off with just water once it's dried (which doesn't take very long at all). The eyeliner is easy to remove with eye makeup remover and I just use Boots Essentials on a cotton wool pad. The only downside is that the tip of the applicator has a tendency to come apart a little bit, so I've had to trim off tiny flappy bits of sponge with nail scissors. It's great for a thick, bold look on the upper lids but maybe not an ideal precision tool for more subtle makeup. I only tend to use it on my upper lids so not sure about its waterline staying power. I do pretty much half colour in my eyelid and I use it every day, but a bottle of this lasts me a good few months. The high pigmentation means that you don't have to add two coats so there's plenty in there to last ages. Less" - boots.com user

Natural Definition Eye Pencil by Alima Pure

"I love this product! It doesn't irritate the skin around my eyes like store bought eyeliner does. It goes on smooth, it's easy to get a nice clean line, or to smudge up a little on days I want a more smokey eye. It does have really good staying power, but I do notice that with the combination of this eyeliner and Alima's mascara, by the end of the day my eyes are a bit smudgey ..I'm not sure which product is the culprit, but to last most of the day with no touch ups is an amazing feat for such a natural product, so I'm happy despite that. I might just need to put a primer or some powder on my eyelids before applying.. I live in humid Florida :/ Thanks Alima for such a great non-irritating but still sexy eyeliner ! * " - alimapure.com user

Gel Miracle Fit Super Proof Liner by TONYMOLY

"I think I found my new holy grail eyeliner!! Tried everything for my oily hooded lids... from drugstore brands like Maybelline to Nyx to high end brands like Make Up Forever. I thought I would never find an eyeliner that would stay put all day without smudging, creasing or fading until I took a small risk and ordered this eyeliner.Best decision I ever made. Easy to apply and will stay put all day. The brush that it comes with already offers a good range of control but I find that the formula alone with a decent angled brush is more precise for me personally and does wonders. Will definitely use it as often as I can! Looking forward to ordering more Tony Moly products~ " - yesstyle.com user

Pro Tip Brush Point Liquid Eyeliner by Glossier

"Best eyeliner ever. No joke.Being an eyeliner veteran :) I've used many different brands and types of eyeliner and I have to say, this one is like a breath of fresh air.Easy to use. Highly pigmented. Does not drag. If you mess up, wipes off easily while wet, or you can correct easily back to a smooth line as the point gives good precision. Lasts all day, no smudges. Cleans off easily at night, no residue. The product itself lasts a long time and the tip doesn't dry out. It's brilliant!I'm not the sort of person to go nuts about a product but this eyeliner . . . is perfect.Thank you! " - hauslabs.com user

Quickliner For Eyes by Clinique

"I have already raved about Intense Ivy, which remains one of my very favorite liners, but I recently purchased three of the newly-released colors.Intense Clove - this is a gorgeous color that is somewhat difficult to describe. It's in between a dark brown and black. It is not a reddish, warm brown, but rather a cool, chestnut brown. It goes with literally everything and makes my blue eyes pop. This has a slight metallic finish, but it's very subtle.and sophisticated. This is a "can't go wrong" shade that would compliment most anyone. Neutral, but far from boring. I thought this would perhaps be easy to dupe, but I can't find anything close to this in my collection.Intense Peridot - what a fun color! True to its name, a golden hue with green leanings. But, the green is very wearable and again reads more neutral. This has a more pronounced metallic finish, but that's part of the beauty. It's not over-the-top edgy, so don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone to try this. I've worn this alone as a liner and also smudged it out as a cream shadow and topped it with a black liner. I love this! I have blue eyes and it makes them appear a little more gray, which is cool. But, if you happen to have brown eyes with flecks of green or gold, this will be a show-stopper.Intense Truffle - this is a mid-tone taupe. It just dark enough to show up well as a liner on my fair skin. It's subtle, but very pretty with a soft, metallic finish that captures light beautifully. Again, this is one you can easily smudge out and use as a shadow with another liner. It's also lovely alone, but more subdued.I am so impressed with all three of these shades. There are nuances in the colors and finishes that make them unique and fresh, yet totally wearable and chic.A word about the formula - it glides on like a gel and is easy to work with once you get the hang of it. But, you need to smudge and even out the line quickly as it sets in a hurry. And, once it's set, it's not going to budge. Though the sponge tool on the end of the liner works well, I find that using an eyeliner brush gives me the best and most precise results. The other challenge is to get a thin, precise line (especially on the bottom lid) as the liner is quite soft and cannot be sharpened. I found a fix for this by lightly running my eyeliner brush across the product and applying directly from the brush. Much like you'd use a gel liner in a pot. It's an extra step, but it works. I most often use this technique when working with the darker colors on my lower lash line. You can also build color for more intensity, though the colors are highly pigmented and offer impressive color with just one pass. It's best to let the liner set in between each pass, if you choose to build the color. Speaking of set, once set, this liner stays put until you take it off. With the lighter colors, soap and water works fine, but you will probably need an eye make-up remover to completely remove the darker shades.Try some of these lovelies...I think you'll be very pleased. And, final added bonus, the price point is excellent. Less" - Sephora user

Lasting Drama Light Eyeliner Pencil by Maybelline

"I love everything about this eyeliner, minus the fact that I can't sharpen it. I do prefer my liquid liners to create that sharp cat eye, but in times when I'm in a rush, I will gravitate to this liner. It's super long lasting and pigmented. I left a line on my hand and after washing with soap, it stayed on without smudging. I used primer on my eye so it doesn't get oily and it stayed on the entire day as well. Another thing I loved about this liner is the packaging. It's super thin and sleek. It's twistable so I never have to worry about sharpening it so that was great. It doesn't take up much space in my makeup bag, which I appreciate since I'm always trying to keep it light. Overall, LOVE and probably would purchase again when I run out of all my pencil liners. Soft Kohl Kajal Eyeliner by Rimmel

"White liner is a must have for every make up bag!! I like to keep a white liner in my bag as well as one at home just in case I can't find one, that's how important white eye liner is. Rimmel's white goes on nice and stays put nicely. Try it on the lower eye lash line, right above your lashes. You'll look as though you're wide awake and your eyes will appear large and beautiful!! I've noticed also that when I've applied the white on my lower lash line, my eye color stands out, almost as if I'm wearing green contacts!!! Love this, but it's where you apply it that makes the difference!! Give it a try and see!!" - drugstore.com user

Intense Gel Eye Liner by Trish McEvoy

"I have tried many other top brands of eye liner including gel, liquid, and powder. Some from high end department stores and some from drug stores. This is without a doubt the best eyeliner for its versital uses, staying power and ease of use and removal!I make sure that I keep an extra one on hand because I have occaisionaly ran out and had to use other brands. Anytime I have done that, I regret it and always go back to Trish McEvoy.I use it on my eyelids, I smudge it sometimes for a smokey look andI use it in the corners of my eyelids in place of shadow.Love, Love, Love this product! Phyto-Eye Twist All in One Eyeshadow, Pencil & Eyeliner by Sisley

"Have never tried eyeliner/eye shadow in this form, but am now a true, lifetime fan! This draws on fine or thick for use as an eyeliner or eye shadow and can be "smudged" to your desire for the first few seconds, before it "sets". Once it sets, it really is waterproof! What I like especially about this product is, whichever color depth you choose to apply, soft or deep, the product itself is LIGHTWEIGHT, therefore getting color without the heavy look of powder, making for a younger, brighter eye! Cake Pencil Eyeliner by KVD Vegan Beauty

"awesome eyeliner! Super creamy when applied and just glides on for a super satisfying application. Super pigminted, and dries matte. The precise tip makes it easy to create any type of look (cateye, wings, etc) unlike other eyeliners without as fine of a tip. Smudges easily when wet (like any other liner lol) but when its dried I found it lasted 12 hours before smudging/coming off! I recieved this product as complimentary for testing purposes :)" - sephora user

Satin Kajal Eyeliner by Victoria Beckham Beauty

No gold or red added to the mix, just a beautiful satin brown!I could not believe how big the pencil was! The amount of product was a surprise to me. Double Wear Stay-In-Place Eye Pencil by Estée Lauder

"I see the bad reviews giving low stars but they starred based on colors not how amazing the new liners are. I now own four and plan to purchase more. The creamy liner is still easy to apply but doesn't transfer to the upper lid at all. I had issues with the old ones doing this. The newly designed smudge tip is much better and if you lay it to the side at the outer edge of your eye you can pull the cream liner into a great cat eye point which I've always had to refer to a liquid liner in order to get a fine point. The creaminess is nice on my 55 year old, drier skin eyes as it doesn't pull at all. You do need waterproof makeup remover to get it off. I work in makeup but not for Lauder so I have access to MANY choices and being that I have to wear full face makeup for 8 to 9 hours a day, I really need good, long lasting products....this is by far, a great choice for eye liner and a fabulous improvement from Lauder over the old ones. As for the old colors.....there are some similarities in the new colors as the other reviews mentioned but I challenge anyone to try the new colors for variety:) <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>" - Estée Lauder user

Kat Von D x Green Day Basket Case Anti-Precision Eyeliner by KVD Vegan Beauty

An easy-to-use, smudgeable eye pencil for unstoppable smoky eyes, inspired by Billie Joe Armstrong’s signature look.

Aqua Resist Color Pencil Eyeliner by Make Up For Ever

"This product is one of the best waterproof/ smudge proof eyeliners I have ever used. I wore this in my waterline and it lasted all day! Typically eyeliners never stay in my waterline and ALWAYS bleed down to my bottom lashes...or worse, bleed onto my contact lens! Not only did this stay in my waterline all day, but it stayed put during a sweaty, cardio filled workout! Applying the eyeliner is extremely easy and requires zero pressure to get a very pigmented look. The shade I received (6 - Forest) is a gorgeous forest green color which beautifully compliments brown eyes. The color is not 100% matte. It has a slight shimmer to it but does not contain glitter particles like the Marc Jacobs Highliner 'shimmer finish' gel eyeliners. Overall I loved this eyeliner and appreciate that it lives up its water-proof/ smudge-proof claims! *Disclaimer: I received this through Influencer for product testing.* Less" - Sephora user

Fake Awake Eye Highlight by Tarte

"I was looking for a new inner rim liner and decided to give this one a try. This is honestly one of the best that I've ever used. The color is just right so it really opens up your eyes without drawing too much attention to itself and it actually stays on. I have sensitive eyes and they tend to water if there is any product on my water line, but this one doesn't irritate my eyes. Not to mention, it also has a pointed tip for very precise application, and a built in hidden sharpener in the pencil itself. Would highly recommend. This has been incorporated into my daily routine and will likely stay there for a while. " - Sephora user

MicroLiner Ink by Shiseido

Age Perfect Satin Glide Eyeliner by L'Oreal

"I'm genuinely impressed with this Loreal Age Perfect satin glide eyeliner. This is coming from someone who nearly always wears waterproof liquid eyeliner. I typically buy cream pencil eyeliners solely for my bottom lashes (a subtle application near the waterline). But, the eyeliner applied so smoothly on my bottom lashes that I decided to try it on my upper lashes too. I was able to create a sharp and professional look (see pic)! It lasted me my whole workday. The eyeliner around my bottom lashes smudged a bit, while the eyeliner on my top lashes held up to perfection. I showered with the eyeliner on to test the waterproof claim and it really is! The eyeliner still looked good with no smudges after showering. Obviously if you clean your face in the shower it will remove the eyeliner. I was careful not to rub my face during shampoo/conditioner. After showering, the eyeliner removed easily with Clinique's "take the day off" makeup remover. Thumbs up for this waterproof eyeliner and smooth application! It's easily one of the best pencil eyeliners out there. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]" - walgreens user

Effortless Kohl Eyeliner by Burberry Beauty

"RE: Burberry Effortless Kohl Eyeliner, I tried on three colors at my local Sephora store. I really liked all of them, but the one I took home was #04 Pale Grape. This grape is NOT pale! It's a medium-dark purple with a taupe undertone. The color has INCREDIBLE depth and #04 is softer & creamier than the other colors I tried -- that means it's easier to apply to your lids. Since it is soft & creamy, apply with a light touch to avoid breaking off the long skinny bullet of eyeliner color. Don't worry, this liner is so creamy you will NOT need to apply it with a heavy hand. On the contrary, a feather-light touch is all you will need! Soft and creamy as it is to apply, the color does NOT smudge -- it stays put all day. You will NEVER need a sharpener with this pencil; just keep swiveling the "bullet" upward. Also, once you're done applying, the cap clicks back onto the pen with a satisfying sound that guarantees it will NOT slip off in your purse. All in all, once of the best eyeliners I have EVER used." - sephora user

Le Crayon Khôl by Lancôme
4.3(1731)$26

"I have used Le Crayon Kohl eye pencils for decades. Through the years, I have tried a number of other brands of eye pencils, but I always return to Le Crayon Kohl eye pencils because they glide on easily (some pencils are super hard and/or require painful pressure to build any visible color), they sharpen easily (with a Lancome sharpener), they last a long time, they do not change color and/or develop a cloudy coating (with age), they do not break off, and — for me, at least — they do not smudge (unless I want them to smudge, in which case I can drag the tip of my ring finger across the color a few times and it will smudge perfectly). With regard to all of the conflicting reviews regarding smudging (some reviews state that the color lasts all day, while other reviews state that the color smudges almost immediately), the only thing that I can figure is that the difference is due to variations in individual skin types. Personally, I can line my upper lids in the morning and, at the end of the day, the lines will still be perfectly intact. My favorite color for routine use is “Gris Noir,” which I use to line my upper lids AND fill in my brows. (It works great as a brow pencil. I use it in conjunction with “Les Sourcils Definis” in “Noir”). For those days when I want to line my upper lids with a more fun color, my absolute favorite is “Purple Dusk,” with “Black Lapis” (a gorgeous dark blue) coming in as a close second. I have not yet tried “Moss,” but it looks like a beautiful color that I plan to try at some point in the future. Less" - Lancôme user

Long Lasting Eye Pencil by essence

"hm... I am surprised to see that this product has such a low rating as it works just perfect for me. Which just proves that we all are very individual. I have a very oily skin and hooded eyes and usually any eyeliner would smudge and transfer but it totally doesn`t happen with this one which feels like a miracle. Yet it`s light and not cakey, it`s line is smth between being totally matte and wet-shiny which is also perfect to me. Not super pigmented which also is just like I wanted as heavy dark wings look not good on hooded eyes like mine. And it`s so easy to apply even for somebody who knows nothing about applying wings - like me. It`s definitely not waterproof, but somehow stays the whole day on my oily eyelids which I highly appreciate. I will definitely keep buying it, especially for this price. And it seems to last long as I have been using this one tube for month now. Very satisfied, thank you for this product! « less" - ulta.com user

"I have the basic brown and the black/brown and I love them both. I like a more natural but put together look and these both work great for that. I would like to try the black next for a more dramatic look. I have brown eyes and the basic brown looks really good with them and I thought it might be too boring but it's such a perfect brown, not a red undertone like some browns. It goes on smooth and stays all day with a little smudging by the end of the day but I don't mind. " - janeiredale.com user

Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner by Rimmel

"I have been using the black eyeliner mostly on my waterline, since it says waterproof in the name, and so far I have only had a little bleed over onto the outer edges of my eyes. I also put this along the upper lash line, which was super easy to do since it is a soft pencil, and then took an angled eyeliner brush to smudge it out a little. This lasted me all day and I never had the need to touch it up. I was completely surprised by this because I have super oily lids!I had a hard time removing this eyeliner, however, and really had to rub it with a makeup wipe to get it off the top lash line. On the water line, however, I just ran a Q-tip over it and it glided off with ease.I am pretty impressed with the eyeliner and might actually try out the other colors available, seeing as there are 10 different colors to pick from! (I received this product from Influenster for testing purposes)" - walgreens user

Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner by NARS

"I have tried Urban Decay's and BE's long wearing eyeliners. BE was too soft and only had okay staying power. I do like Urban Decay but Nars stays on my eyelid and on my upper and lower waterline better. It is soft but not smooshy (unlike BE eyeliner), which lets me apply the right amount without needing to dig into my eyelid to get the color. I also like that it doesn't set instantly, which gives me time to smudge. I love love love that it is retractable (so already a fine point) but also has a built in sharpener to make the point even finer. I personally disdain needing to break out my pencil sharpener every time I want to use my eyeliner to get the fine point that I need. That is messy and waists a lot of product. The only aspect of the liner I do not like is the glitter. I mistakenly purchased 47th Street (black with silver shimmer) instead of Via Veneto (black). It's not enough of dislike to bother with returning it, but I will not purchase the shimmery liner(s ) again. I also can't rate as to whether it is truly waterproof.I will likely purchase more eyeliners from Nars but will give MUFE a go also. « less" - Sephora user

Yeux Long Lasting Eyeliner Twist Pencil by Chanel

Smoulder Kohl Waterproof Eyeliner by Soap & Glory

"I normally use Benefit BadGal waterproof eyeliner but when I borrowed my friends S&G eyeliner last week I was completely converted. I went to buy it that day and am so glad that I did! This eyeliner really has staying power as unlike my previous eyeliner it lasts all day without smudging, which means no more lunchtime retouches! Its easy to apply and can give a really precise line when sharp and a cool grungy effect when less sharp. Its such a versatile product and is perfect for day and night, also the handy built in sharpener saves rooms in your make-up bag.Its is also a lot longer that most eyeliners I have used meaning although it doesn't appear as cheap as competitors such as Rimmel it is actually better value for money. Its really easy to apply and glides onto your lids with ease saving those precious minutes in the morning! Oh and last night I really put this product to the test, I went swimming with it on and, wow, my eyes looked exactly the same before and after while most of my friends had eyeliner all over their faces... THANKS S&G! Less" - boots.com user

Automagically Eye Lining Pencil by origins

"This eye pencil is great - it's very soft, like a crayon or a soft kohl pencil, but you can still get a nice thin line (or a thick one). It's very versatile and the colors are very flattering. I've got mulberry, which is a nice deep purple-y brown, very like a raisin color with a little bit of a reddish/purple tint. My eyes are bluish green and this flatters them nicely, since it works with both blue and green. Stays on all day without smearing but comes off really easily when you want it to. I haven't perfected the little flourish at the outer corners of the eye (where you lift the line a bit, but without getting the cat's-eye or king-tut look) but the saleswoman at my local Origins store did it, so I can say that it's definitely possible with this pencil! It was a beautiful tiny thin line that tapered at the end, so you really can get any kind of line with this pencil. It's so soft you don't have to drag it across your eye, and you also don't have to press hard (so you really minimize the risk of stabbing yourself in the eyeball). A great pencil for both everyday looks and evening wear! <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="7894337963656966044-full" data-show="7894337963656966044-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Origins user

Contour Clubbing Waterproof Pencil & Liner by Bourjois

"I love this eyeliner, as it is a good shade for the summer months - not too dark. It also stays on pretty much for the whole day, and is waterproof. I will certainly continue to buy it, as long as it remains available. But like all good eyeliners which I have liked in the past, it will probably eventually be discontinued. The shades I use most are taken off the market and they keep the very dark shades which are not flattering someone elderly or for use during sunny days! " - ebay.com user

"Great eyeliner pencil. Intense dark black shows up and stats _x000D_on waterline and upper lid. Soft enough to go on easily but stays put. _x000D_Easy to apply bc if u do get it on an area where u want to correct it _x000D_or smudge it off, u can remove it w/o using eye makeup remover,_x000D_bc it doesn’t set/dry immediately. Yet it’s not so soft that it smudges _x000D_all over into a mess wen you apply it. Very easy to handle and self-_x000D_sharpener a big plus. _x000D__x000D_ " - testforyou.com user

Eye Pencil by Lily Lolo

"I am shocked at how perfect this eyeliner is! I have used almost every "waterproof" eyeliner out there, even some toxic products that claimed to be long-wearing and waterproof. None performed like this one! I work with endangered animals in a simulated Rainforest....75 degrees with 85% humidity, year-round. This liner stayed put the entire day at work and looked perfect when I removed it at night. I have even been using it for brow color and it performs better than any brow product I have ever used. My only regret is that my skepticism that a natural product could also wear well delayed my trying it. It puts Jane Iredale and Smashbox to shame, and that it is nontoxic is such a bonus! I couldn't be more pleased. " - vitacost.com user

Quickliner For Eyes Intense by Clinique

"I have already raved about Intense Ivy, which remains one of my very favorite liners, but I recently purchased three of the newly-released colors. Intense Clove - this is a gorgeous color that is somewhat difficult to describe. I thought this would perhaps be easy to dupe, but I can't find anything close to this in my collection. Intense Peridot - what a fun color! But, if you happen to have brown eyes with flecks of green or gold, this will be a show-stopper. Intense Truffle - this is a mid-tone taupe. It just dark enough to show up well as a liner on my fair skin. It's subtle, but very pretty with a soft, metallic finish that captures light beautifully. Again, this is one you can easily smudge out and use as a shadow with another liner. It's also lovely alone, but more subdued. I am so impressed with all three of these shades. There are nuances in the colors and finishes that make them unique and fresh, yet totally wearable and chic. A word about the formula - it glides on like a gel and is easy to work with once you get the hang of it. With the lighter colors, soap and water works fine, but you will probably need an eye make-up remover to completely remove the darker shades. Try some of these lovelies...I think you'll be very pleased. And, final added bonus, the price point is excellent. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="4622005219442888762-full" data-show="4622005219442888762-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>" - Sephora user

Eyeliner Waterproof Pencil by Dior

"I am so highly impressed at this waterproof liner that I had to post about it.I lost my son in April and well, I cry a lot. I haven't been out much lately when when I do go out I use this liner since it is truly indelible like ink! I remove it with an oil based remover for bet removal. I get complements [I'm older too]. The Intense Brown and Captivating Blue is quite beautiful on eyes even over the black or brown..unlike all my others these just work and look best. I have a purple/plum shade not shown here plus more not seen on here but in teh stores are gorgeous on. There is a short smudge time after lining but it's so worth it. I own maybe 50 liners lol mid to high end and this one just stays on bar none.. Make sure to apply close to top edge of lashes to fill in the gap between lashes and skin esp. if older this happens. My tip for applying any liner is using a lash curler first, mascara, then apply liner so you have something that liner can lean on (hard to explain) but it looks like tight lining.sample if in store ...worth it even if it's a bit more money I would rather these then all my others I ignore now. Less" - Sephora user

Power Pencil by BH Cosmetics

"I have several shades of this eyeliner but some how had missed getting the black. Now I have it. Love these pencils. They stay put until you take them off. Now smudging once they set. Even with allergy eyes it does not come off thanks to the water proof. LOVE THEM! " - bhcosmetics.com user
