WORKS REALLY WELL

I got some samples (prepared instore) of Benefit's Total Moisture Facial Cream to use along with a recent VIB perk, that had included Triple Performing Facial Emulsion SPF 15 PA for the morning. I have normal skin, so this cream, made for people with normal to dry skin, was ideal for me. This very rich thick cream absorbs quickly and provides excellent hydration for my skin. It does have a non-offensive scent which dissipates after awhile. Total Moisture Facial Cream is be used at night, in conjunction with Triple Performing Facial Emulsion SPF 15 PA (part of the VIB perk), which is to be used in the morning, and is also excellent. Both are effective moisturizers. My skin felt well hydrated when I woke up in the morning. Although I'm currently using another skin care line, Benefit, as usual, is excellent. If I wasn't using the other one, and didn't have a big investment in it, I would seriously consider the Benefit line of skin care products, because they are really good and effective.PS I noticed in the reviews that some people with oily or oily/combination skin have used it and then complained that it wasn't what they needed or was too rich for their skin type. A reviewer with very oily skin suggested this should be for "mature skin" because it was too rich for her. Unfortunately, this isn't made for those people with oily skin, although judging by the reviews, it seems to work well for many people in that skin group as well. However, please don't lower ratings if you're using a product that wasn't made for you in the first place. According to Benefit, this is formulated for people with "normal to dry skin" (and not people with oily or very oily skin). It's like someone putting 6 tablespoons of oil into a recipe that calls for one pat of butter, and then saying that it didn't come the way it should/could have. NO OFFENSE INTENDED to those with oily skin who have tried it, but please don't lower a rating (and blame a product) when you use something that's not "formulated" for your skin type in the first place. It skews the ratings. It sounds as if this works really well for people with oily skin, in some cases, but still, if you're using something that isn't for your skin type, please don't lower ratings and blame the product for it being too heavy for oily skin, since it wasn't formulated for oily skin in the first place. For the record, I don't work for Sephora or Benefit, and have no connection to either of these companies. Again, no offense intended. This cream was formulated, according to Benefit, for people with normal to dry skin, and I highly recommend it, because it's an excellent cream. I'm pleased with the results I've gotten. « less

excellent for everyday, combination,dry skin

In the winter I get pretty dry skin around m nose and cheek area my con is decently oily which gets me pretty insecure and skeptical about non oil free moisturize products. I got the mini set with the 2 moisturizers and cleanser, because I was very curious about this skincare line. I first started to use the oil free one which I of found to work well for my chin area but it did not do too well to moisturize my dry areas. So I decided to give this one a go. I apply it all over my face about 15 minutes before I do my foundation routine, it is lightweight and it absorbs quickly to my surprise. It moisturizes my dry area well and gig my skin an amazing, soft feel, and creates a great smooth base for my foundation routine. I also found that it locks the moisture in so my chin doesn't look visibly oily until couple of hours which I would apply some powder on it and it would be good until the rest of the day. I also see that people have a problem with the sent which surprises me because for e the scent is perfect it has a light refreshing scent and i love it. I would not recommend this for people with oily skin or even super dry skin because it is a light moisture and Ive been there with that rough peeling dry skin. I feel that this cream would be a bit too light for that. I also feel that this wouldn't be an ideal overnight facial cream if you want a lot of moisture. Bottom line is this is a perfect everyday before you apply your makeup moisturizer if you have combination skin(more on the dry side) or if you have combination skin more on the oily side but you have some dry areas this would be an amazing overnight cream for you. I have bought the full size and it has given the cliniques dramatically lotion(a holy grail of mine for years) some big competition. Sorry for the extremely long and in depth review :b « less

BEST Night Cream For a Radiant Complexion

I've tried so many night creams to get my combination skin under control. In some spots my skin is oily but in others it gets really dry. I love this cream because it gives me all the hydration I need for my dry spots, but it's non oily and doesn't make me break out either. I've been using this after cleansing before bed for over a month now, and my complexion looks great. This really helps my skin recharge overnight so it looks glowing and gorgeous in the morning. With extended use, I've found that my skin tone is more even overall, and I'm getting fewer breakouts than I do with many other moisturizing night creams. This cream smooths and softens my complexion as well as making it brighter, so my foundation is much easier to apply in the morning and it looks better too. This cream has a nice fresh smell. It glides on smoothly and is very easy to apply. It is expensive, but this is a very good size container for the money, and a little of this product goes a long way. Actually, you kind of have to be careful not to use too much of this product or it can feel a little greasy. But if you use it right, the results are completey worth the price, so I know I'll buy this again. I don't have a single complaint about this product, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone with normal or combination skin. I'm planning to try more of these Benefit skincare products since this one works so well for me!

Disappointed

I tried the following B. Right products for approximately one month: Foamingly Clean Facial Wash: I expected to love this product since I like a good foamy facial cleanser. However, this facial wash was disappointing. It smells pleasant, but there is very little "foaming" and it dried out my skin horribly. Refined Finish Facial Polish: Upon dispensing onto my fingers, I was skeptical since the granules were very large and seemed harsh on the skin. I expected to dislike this product more than the others. However, this turned out to be my most loved product in this line. It made my skin feel super soft and clean. Plus, after the cleanser completely dried out my skin, the facial polish added moisture back in to my skin. And I used it twice a week. It was quite surprising. Still, I'm not sure if this is any better than the product I was previously using (Clinique 7-day scrub). Triple Performing Facial Emulsion: product smells nice, goes on smoothly. Provided extra moisture during winter months. This is a decent product. Still, I'm not sure if this is any better than the product I was previously using (Olay Regenerist Regenerating Serum). Total Moisture Facial Cream: Product smelled nice and did provide extra moisture, which is what I was looking for during winter months. However, I found that it was too heavy to use during the day. It made my skin feel oily and caused my skin to break out on my cheeks. I wouldn't recommend this moisturizer. It's Potent Eye Cream: Product goes on smoothly and feels good initially. But after about a minute, it made my eyes burn terribly. I kept using in hopes that it would fade my dark under eye circles. However, it did not brighten nor reduce my under eye circles at all. It didn't even smooth the fine lines underneath my eyes. This was ineffective for me. Overall, I do not feel that the combination of these products gave me the results that it promises. The only two products I would purchase again are the facial polish and the facial emulsion. But I already use other similar products that are cheaper and just as good, if not better. I do not think my face looks any brighter after using this line, so I cannot recommend the line. Having said that, I did get refused to sit in the bar area of two different restaurants while using these products because the hostesses thought I was not old enough...and I'm 34 years old.

You name it, I've used it, but THIS...

First, I have funky, hard-to-please skin. It's dry, yet oily to the extreme, and when it gets mad, it breaks out. I have never had naturally good skin. I have used everything from drugstore to Lamer (a $1,200 face cream), making my own and a skincare line that a friend of mine sells in her office. I figured since she's a plastic surgeon, the skincare she recommends has to be THE ONE! It was good, but alas, I found myself fighting with all of my skincare concerns I've come accustomed to fighting w/ again. I received a sample of this and even set it aside for awhile as I have more skincare products than I ever care to count - it would just depress me because of the money I've spent So, my skin was doing that thing it does, where no hydration can break that tough barrier and absorb. I grabbed this. Immediately, looking into my magnified mirror, I thought "What?! Are you kidding me?!" It absorbed right in and my skin looked plumped, hydrated, healthy! It became my go to. It hydrates my face while keeping the oils that congest my skin and cause acne at bay. My foundation stays on without sliding around and getting patchy. I noticed it was getting low, and it hit me! I love it! I bought a full size without hesitation. For reference, the best I can describe my skin is this: Aging. Dry, yet combination/oily. I used to be a sun worshipper so I am doing everything I can to get my skin to forgive me. I've adapted the Korean approach to skincare. I double cleanse at night and gently cleanse in the AM. I use a tonic or BHA after, apply Vit. C Serum w/ another Serum; two eye creams then a moisturizing cream to lock it all in. I wear foundation everyday. My nighttime skincare routine is a little more intense, no need to get into that. Oh! I'm navigating my way through my early 40's and I've learned to understand/pay attention to the ingredients in everything that goes on my face and body. Do your research, this may work for you.
