Must have make-up bag item!

Although this primer is pretty pricey it is definitely worth the money if you, like me, suffer with large pores and blemishes - particularly around the troublesome t-zone. I love it and am always telling my friends about it.The product is beautifully packaged and comes in a handy, well-sized tube - 22ml will last you ages, I promise you. The consistency of the primer itself is lovely; it's silky, soft, smells gorgeous and a little really does goes a long way. I use only a drop each morning and it's definitely enough to smooth the skin and drastically reduce the appearance of my pores.I have very fair skin with a few blackheads around my t-zone that can often pop out through my foundation after a couple of hours; this primer, however, helps my foundation stay put, and disguises those pesky blackheads completely! Also, because the product is translucent in colour I think it would suit almost all skin tones and skin types; it doesn't appear grey or pale when applied, but instead comes out clear, perfectly complimenting make-up.I've also tried applying this over the top of my make-up, and that creates a different but equally lovely effect; it makes skin look dewy and natural. As far as staying power is concerned, this primer should help keep your foundation in place. I have used it underneath my make-up both in the heat of summer and the cold of winter and it was successful in surviving the elements. It does exactly everything that you could hope it would; improves the appearance of skin, helps keep your foundation in place and compliments your make-up. I use it both for everyday use and if I'm going on a night out.I would definitely recommend this product to you if you're in search of a primer; although it is a luxury item at a luxury price I believe it is worth saving for; I am a huge fan of budget, high-street make-up but am happy to push the boat out for this primer because it never, ever disappoints. « less

This Oily Big-Pored Girl Loves It

Ok for all my girls with combination/oily skin & large pores, I feel your pain. I have sensitive acne-scarred and prone skin. Never ever had an "airbrush finish" with makeup. I have been searching and spent so much money looking for a good primer & foundation. I have tried Tarte's Timeless Primer, Cover FX Primer, Becca's Matte Primer, you name it and none has covered these gigantic holes on my nose. I always have the problem where it might look ok in the morning and then maybe 2 hours later everything is separating especially in the nose area where my pores pop out again. Its a ugly splotchy mess by mid-day.This morning was the first time I used POREfessional. I primed my face with emphasis on my nose at about 6:45am this morning. I gave it a couple of minutes to absorb and I put on my foundation (Stila Stay all Day Cream Foundation). I let that sit and then I lightly brushed my face with Tarte's Smooth Operator Finishing Powder (not pressed). I IMMEDIATELY saw a significant difference. No cakey feel to it at all. My pores were filled in. I took a pic at 7:30am and another at 4pm to showcase how my face looks. Not a good pic but hey its something. I didn't really need to touch up at all. I just gave it a few quick brush strokes of Tarte's finishing powder and I looked refreshed.A little tidbit for my girls with pores like mine, brushes also makes a HUGE difference. I used my middle & ring fingers for POREfessional primer. For Stila's Foundation, I first Make Up Forever's #108 Straight brush for everything but my nose. Its a good full coverage brush ideal for liquid & cream foundations. Then I use a small concealer brush for my nose. Once my foundation is blended throughout, I took Sephora's #42 Small Stippling brush and I dab a little more foundation on my nose. The stippling brush is made for huge pores and helps fill the pores in. I then took a light powder brush and dusted my face with the finishing powder. I never had an airbrush finish look but I do now! This combination really lasted all day for me. I didn't have a splotchy mess and the only thing I changed was the primer. Its also important to notate that you have best results when you have moisturizer on BEFORE putting on the primer. Or else you'll have dry flaky patches.I'm definitely buying this again! « less

HANDS DOWN best primer for OILY skin!

I've tried almost every primer out there--Becca, Too Faced, Smashbox, Make Up For Ever, Lorac, Japonesque, and more! Everything that was recommended for oily skin, I would try and nothing ever lived up to the hype. I thought I was destined to have an oily face forever. Normally I apply and, no matter what I tried, only about 1-2 hours later my makeup becomes absorbed by the oil on my face and I'm super shiny and look like I don't have any makeup on. It was so frustrating! NOT THE CASE WITH THIS PRIMER! I got a sample of this and was not expecting much, especially since I'm not a huge Benefit fan, but I was SO IMPRESSED! This is a dream come true. It applies easily and evenly, very smooth, not sticky or oily, it's essentially colorless, has a light and pleasant scent, and it holds onto my makeup for 8 hours. 8 FULL HOURS! That is unheard of with my skin. It's beautifully mattifying and my makeup goes on and stays on evenly. No patchiness or blotchiness! It makes my makeup apply really natural and flawless. I sometimes still need a little blotting on my forehead but overall this primer is phenomenal. It really holds onto the makeup well. I think if you have dry skin, this formula could be too drying for you but if you've got oily skin like I do, I would highly suggest trying this out! It hasn't caused me a single breakout or any other adverse reaction. This creates a perfect canvas for your makeup, and has now been incorporated into my daily routine. I'm SO GLAD I found this!!! I can't talk this primer up enough! « less

can't live without

Awesome for large pores, oily skin, and keeping makeup fresh all day. I'm a 35 yr old woman with a history of bad acne and severely oily skin combined with dry skin. My acne and scars are gone but I was left with huge pores all over my face. My skin is so oily that 2 hours after applying makeup it's all gone. I had given up on finding a product to hide my pores and I tried a sample of this when I was looking for yet another primer that would make my makeup stay put and help reduce shine from excessive oil. Porefessional went above and beyond my expectations. It instantly takes years off my face, it hides my pores better than anything else and stops my skin from getting oily (I used to blot oil like every hour and now I may have to blot once a day). It keeps my makeup looking fresh all day. This product is my one must have item. I've used it for several yrs now. Most of the time I don't even have to wear foundation b/c this primer alone makes my skin look so smooth and even and hides minor blemishes. I can even use it when my skin is dry n flakey (most products would only enhance the appearance of the dry flakes, this hides it). I rarely even wear foundation anymore and for me that is a huge deal. With my skin I would've never dreamed I could leave the house without foundation. Now for my daily makeup I just use Porefessional and then finishing powder and my skin looks great. U just have to be sure to wash it off good at night to prevent clogged pores. I purchase this in the jumbo size every time and using it daily lasts me about 6 months. If this product was $300 a tube I would still buy it and it would be worth every cent. « less

Too drying for fair skin

I wanted to like this product. It did reduce shine, had a nice mattifying effect, seemed to make my foundation "grab" onto my skin better. The downside, about 30 minutes later it the dewy matte finish turns into a dry flake-y mess. It highlighted every pore, made spots of dry skin drier and flaky looking. By the end of a work day my forehead and nose looked so bad, when I looked in the mirror I HAD to wash it off. It was splotchy, created dry flaky patches and did not work well with fair combination skin. Great for a 20 minutes selfie-shoot then self-destructs on your face.

Primer / Concealer Question : I have very dry skin but at the end of the end my face looks dewy/sweaty? What’s a good Long Lasting primer that will add moisture but won’t crease/cake up and stop this end of the day dewy look?? I’m 26 and still get acne so nothing irritating. I prefer a more natural finish. I currently use the FIT ME foundation. Also looking for a good lightweight concealer for dark under eyes...Thanks in advance!!

Currently searching for products to use on my birthday and I need advice on primers, longwearing foundations, concealers and powders with no flashback. So far I’m interested in trying Charlotte Tilbury’s most recent foundation and the pressed powder. Any luxury recommendations that are worth the splurge and hold up on combo/oily skin? I struggle with a lot of shine mainly between my brows and around my nose :)

I am really curious if anyone has put on foundation after a skin routine and still see texture, not really acne or anything, just bumps like under the eyes and stuff. I see everyone around with perfect skin no matter the distance but my skin with foundation isn’t something I would be confident with. I just want to know if there are any primers or skin care products that reduce texture? Or it is totally normal??
