This is beautiful!
I went into Ulta to compare Dallas to Hoola as I heard they were both good for contouring. I have fairly light skin (NW15-20), and I find that most contour shades look either too dramatic/unnatural or wash me out. I've even tried NYX Taupe blush and it's not quite as cool and natural looking as I would like.
Lately I've resorted to using a taupe brow powder, which looks better than the NYX shade-wise, but it does not blend well at all and ends up looking heavy. To be expected for a brow powder. I've been desperate. xD
I swatched Hoola and it looked a bit warm and orange-y almost, but after swatching Dallas I was concerned that it may be a bit too light.
I took the plunge and bought it to try, and with the brush, holy wow, this stuff is amazing!
It actually shows up on my skin very well(much better than w/o the brush), but it still looks incredibly natural.
I get the exact muted, natural looking contour that I've been looking for.
I saw some other reviews saying this had a sparkle, but I don't notice it at all, in the box or applied. Gladly, because this is one of the most natural looking blushes/bronzers I've found and sparkle would have ruined it.
The texture is also buttery-soft, it blends out super well, and you don't need much product at all.
I found the brush that it came with good for initial application to place the contour where I wanted, but it's not good for blending. I used a softer brush to blend and drag the color. You won't get as natural a look using the brush this comes with alone.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a natural looking, cool toned contour shade. It is somewhat similar to Tarte's Exposed, but I actually like this color more and find that it shows up a bit better. It's maybe even a tad more cool-toned.
Anyone with a similar skin tone, I would absolutely recommend this.
Super fair cool/neutral toned may want to try Exposed as it's even softer when applied.
For me though,this is perfect!
