Great Mascara

The wand is perfect for coverage. My lashes do look fuller and bigger. That's something, because I already have long lashes that curl naturally (thank goodness I do not have to have a lash curler, my mom does and it looks like a pain to use). Normally I can get away with my gold standard of Maybelline Great Lash. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right?I tend to be a fan of the brown or dark brown mascaras. I think they look a lot more natural on me (fair skin, blue eyes), and black usually takes away from the natural look. That said, the black coverage I get from this mascara surprised me. It wasn't over the top, although it was black. There's a few very small flakes that do clump a bit at the outer lash and you do not want them to get on your upper lid close to the eyebrow where they're very visible, but the flakes are easily smoothed by pressing your index finger and your thumb together over them. Okay, so don't flutter your eyelashes against your upper lids. Don't slide the mascara off, just let the warmth of your finger dissolve the teeny flakes while they're still wet. Hold your fingers together a second, open your fingers, wash your hands, you're done. It sounds a little extra, but I only have to do this once or twice per use.I am not sure that this mascara would work so well if it were a little more thin and a little less thick. That formula probably sounds like an answer to the issue above, but it might just run. I loathe that runny druggie-mascara look.I think this mascara is the best one I have now, out of five (full size and samples). The coverage is worth it, but I want to use them up before I buy a tube. Less

New holy grail mascara!

Benefit Roller Lash has been my holy grail mascara for a little over two years and I did not expect that to change. However, after trying BADGal Bang for a few weeks now, I can say that it has become my new favorite! I wear very minimal makeup on an everyday basis. Typically I throw on a tinted moisturizer, cream highlighter, mascara and I'm good to go. I like my mascara to add volume and length and a bit of drama since the rest of my face makeup is so minimal and one quick layer of BADGal Bang is perfect for my everyday look. It also can be very easily built up for when I want a full face glam look (anymore than two coats though and I've found it gets clumpy). What I especially love is that it doesn't flake and I haven't had any transfer onto my under eyes. I would love if they came out with a brown shade of BADGal Bang because I know this will be my new holy grail mascara!**Please note that I received this product free for review purposes but all opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this post; however, I am creating this post as part of a contest. Less

Clumps Galore

I have naturally long lashes that curl really well. I typically use Better Than Sex by Too Faced or Clump Crusher by Cover Girl. I absolutely hate clumps! I think they ruin the natural, beautiful look of eyelashes. This mascara was hands down the clumpiest mascara I have ever used, and looked like I was applying dollar store makeup. For the price of the product, I would never recommend someone to purchase it.The mascara applied very thick and goopy and smudged massively throughout the day. So disappointed by this product.I was able to make it wearable by going through my lashes with a lash separator before the mascara dried. That is your only hope for a somewhat natural/beautiful look. This product might be for some people who prefer very thick, clumpy lashes that stick together, but for those of us who want long, separated lashes, this is not the product! « less

Honestly great!

Idk why this mascara gets bad reviews from so many ppl! It works really well for me. It’s super volumizing [so some lashes will stick together - not the end of the world] and lengthening. To avoid clumping I slowly “paint” my lashes from base to tip and do the same if I layer. You don’t really want to pump the wand onto your lashes a bunch of times because it will make your lashes clumpy. The applicator by the way is perfect.. it makes it so easy to grab every last on the top and the thinner end of great for the bottom lash line.I’ve inserted a couple pics below on 2 coats on the top and one on the bottom and no liner so you can see what it looks like up close. Mind you I do have a lot of lashes naturally and they’re pretty long but this made them noticeably longer, thicker, and more curled (I didn’t use a lash curler). My mom loves this too and she has pretty short thin lashes so it might be great for people who don’t naturally have long thick lashes. Give it a try! If you absolutely hate any sort of “clumpyness” then you might not like it...but if you use it carefully / maybe use a lash comb /separator thing you could make it work. PS this washes off with a water based face wash pretty easily. « less

Great formula and amazing product! It’s so light and comfortable and the lash that even with several coats it doesn’t feel heavy or uncomfortable. Plus it works really well and does what it says - adds length and volume. For me this lasts very well and stays put for 16+ hours. I think that for people who are finding it smudges that may be because their eyes water a lot or they are rubbing their eyes without realizing it - in both cases I think they might try a waterproof mascara - when I have allergies a little of both those things happen and layering a coat of waterproof mascara over top helps my watery eyes not make it leak but on a normal day I could keep this on day and night and it wouldn’t smudge. I saw one reviewer saying that it dispensed too much product - I don’t find that at all I feel like it dispenses a perfect amount of product and the brush is designer to allow you to paint your lash right up to the lashline which is hard to access with fluffier brushes. I think those people may be looking for a very “natural” mascara look where it’s difficult to see that they are wearing makeup and in that case I would recommend the roller lash mascara by benefit bc it’s very easy to control the amount of product you use with that one and it really seperate your lashes because of the comb. That formula doesn’t add enough volume for my tastes though and this one feels much better on the eye - as an added bonus it even leaves my lashes silky! I just hope they don’t get rid of it I have found that Benefit has a bad habit of getting rid of their very best products like they did with the brightening concealer. I’m still annoyed and hoping they’ll come to their senses and bring it back that’s my HG concealer and this is my HG mascara. Less

What is a good mascara that will curl my lashes and give them thickness and length but will not make them clumpy? And any good eyelash curlers too?

I just recently have been able to start wearing makeup again after almost 10 months. Needless to say I threw out most of what I had due to age. I've been able to rebuild everything but mascara! What is your favorite budget friendly waterproof voluminous mascara?

This is my personal favorite, it makes my lashes look like I’m wearing false lashes. 😊

I am looking for a volumizing mascara that doesn’t end up clumping throughout the day. I have long lashes and they are pretty unruly if I use the wrong mascara. Any suggestions? ☺️
