Perfect Toner

I recently had a bad experience with a toner. It was supposed to treat acne, but all it did was break me out worse than final exams. I almost wanted to give up on toners entirely. But once a beauty addict, always a beauty addict. I stumbled across this toner and one thing caught my eye: witch hazel. I have a bottle of drugstore witch hazel in my beauty closet at all times for its gentle acne fighting powers. I know this toner doesn't promise to help acne, but I figured if the base was a natural astringent, it wouldn't break me out worse than going to sleep in full coverage foundation. Thankfully, I was right. In fact, my expectations were exceeded. It didn't just not break me out. It helped with my acne. I'd always heard that moisturizing can help combat acne by making sure that your skin doesn't overproduce sebum, but I'd never seen real results until this toner. My skin has fewer breakouts, a more even tone, and less excessive oil. It's incredibly moisturizing and mild. I almost wanted to forgo moisturizer (no bad idea don't do that) because it left my skin feeling so soft and smooth. There's no chemical burn, no temporary redness. It just sinks deeply into your skin and transforms it. And it smells GREAT. Recently my housemates have been complimenting me after I do my routine on how great my face smells. I've used a lot of "great but stinky" products, but I belif I don't have to anymore. (See what I did there?) « less

Finally found the perfect toner

This toner is awesome! For background, I have dry, sensitive skin (with some clogged nose pores), but don't have to worry about anti-aging yet as I'm only 23. I was researching toners online and this one kept coming up as one of the best so I went into Sephora and an associate showed me 4 different ones. I took home samples and ended up choosing Belif and buying the full size the same week! A little goes a long way, and it really seems to melt into my dry skin (you use your fingers, not a cotton pad). Even though I knew toners were meant to help keep the skin's pH balanced, I never really experienced that until I used this toner. I woke up with my skin super glowy and more even (I have some pinkness as I'm fair skinned). My boyfriend even noticed and I had only used it twice! Works great in the morning under moisturizer and makeup too. If you have dry, sensitive skin and are looking for a toner, pick this one (or at least get a sample), you won't regret it! The moisturizers are awesome too :) « less

I am SO glad I decided to try this product! I haven't used a toner in years because every time I do I am assured that it will not dry out my very dry, somewhat sensitive skin and then it does. After sampling the Moisturizing Bomb I decided I needed to buy the full size and look into Belif's other products. I have only been using this toner for a week, but really after the very first use I saw results. It is so moisturizing! My skin feels like balance has been restored, and I almost (but not quite there) feel like I don't need to follow with moisturizer. I also couldn't believe how much my acne scars, broken blood vessels, and other red areas faded! My skin is so much more even toned after using this. Imagine that...a toner that tones! Also, a little goes a long way - this bottle will last quite a while. I just can't say enough. People need to know about Belif...I need them to stay around forever because I am now a customer for life. « less

first use review

I have normal skin/combination skin and this toner has treated my skin so well just in the first few days! I deal with an oily t-zone and dry patches around my nose and cheeks and this toner has balanced everything so well. After the first two uses (night and the following morning) I could see my pores visibly reduce in size and the slight redness in my cheeks has balanced out to a more even skin tone. The consistency is great; it's thick enough that you don't have to use a cotton pad to apply it and thin enough so that you don't have to rub it into your skin. I put about 5 drops in my hand and pat it all over my face and neck after cleansing and before moisturizing. It makes my skin so glowy and the effect stays for about three or four hours, after that time my skin is still bouncy and radiant just not as glowy as before. This toner is a life saver for my skin this winter!! I can't wait to see how much better the effects become with continued use. « less

Not For Me Unfortunately

My skin is very average, not too dry and not too oily with a few breakouts here and there. I was looking to add something to my nightly routine to help hydrate and balance out my face. I am a fitness director which means I am in the gym all day. I put on makeup in the morning, but as I usually end my day teaching class, I typically leave sweaty and gross.I have used other belif products and have loved them so when I saw this toner and its amazing reviews I figured I would give it a try. I used it for over two weeks straight every night after cleansing and I did not like the results. My skin broke out everywhere, especially right under my eyes which I thought was weird. I had little red bumps under my eyes that still have not totally gone away a week later. I also noticed the area around my nose and in between my eyebrows was so dry. I know you are supposed to give your skin time to adjust to something new, which I did, it just wasn't a fit for me. I am going to try and return this unfortunately. « less

Use witch hazel. My sister has pretty bad acne, but since she started using this, it has cleared up a lot. Some of her scarring is going away as well! Also, drink water mixed with apple cider vinegar. It doesn't taste great, but it gives your skin a healthy glow and cleans out a lot of toxins that could be affecting your break outs.
