With so many people moving into serums and acids just a reminder:
You should NOT mix these
VITAMIN C + AHAS/BHAS : Combining retinol with Vitamin C is a recipe for peeling, redness and irritation, in short, a total disaster for the health of your skin
RETINOIDS + AHAS/BHAS: damages skin moisture barrier and can cause irritation, redness, dry skin over time; use separately and sparingly
RETINOIDS + VITAMIN C: may cause over exfoliation, resulting in increased skin and sun sensitivity; separate into day/night routines
Benzoyl peroxide + vitamin C
OIL-BASED + WATER-BASED.
GLYCOLIC ACID + SALICYLIC ACID: too many acids can strip the skin and damage its ability to recover
NIACINAMIDE + VITAMIN C: use in careful moderation. Some studies show that They stabilize each other some shoe that mixing vitamin c can result in a niacin flush (red irritation to the skin).
-Retinols should mostly be used at night
- Vitamin C should mostly be used at night
-Wait 20 mins when layering multiple serums (if you find your skin can tolerate it in one setting)
-Don’t forger your SPF 30 during the day
-When introducing acids to your face “purging” is only normal to a certain extent
what would be a good product to use for acne scarring i don’t break out a lot anymore but it left scarring after facials, any recommendations?i use the neutrogena on-the-spot acne treatment but i’m assuming there are better products
my acne has always been a huge insecurity of mine, until recently I started forcing myself to see it as normal rather than a disease. I’ve tried many products but they never have really cleared me up. I’ve heard that raw African black soap is really good for acne (which I have quite a bit of) my skin used to be a lot worse years back but never to the point of cystic acne, as of right now it’s very controlled but I break out easily. Any advice on what brand has the best raw black soap or any good cleansers to clear up acne? I don’t have much acne but I do have the little tiny bumps that won’t go away and a few acne bumps here and there.
What’s the best lip product (balm, lipstick) that’s natural and hydrating? It doesn’t have to be long lasting, something like a sheer/slight tint to add color to your lips so you don’t look like a ghost! Thank you!
When I use foundation, it’s simply too thick, I don’t like the way it looks or feels on my skin. I’ve resorted to using a concealer that’s my skin tone as a foundation, but obviously that isn’t the best solution. What should I be looking for for a lighter wear that’s still something I can build off of? Looking for good light wear foundations or any other suggested product.
So I have combination, acne prone, sometimes dry, sometimes oily skin. I used Proactiv for years but I’d like to try a new skincare line for my sensitive skin. I need something that will be gentle but effective. Any recommendations would be so appreciated!
some please help idk why my skin is so bad all a sudden all I want is for it to be gone I use good product well I think any ways idk what I’m doing that’s wrong but some please help!!! My birthday is in 2 days and I have a dance in 4 days
my skin has been oily for years, i would get a pimple here and there when i usually ate one chocolate, skin has always been on the bumpy side though, and i have alot of uneven skin tone. now to try to get rid of the oils and bumpiness my sister recommend using the body shop tea tree soap, then the body shot vitamin c scrub and them the tea tree face mask and to sleep in it. i tried it and got chemical burn, completely broke me out and make my skin more sensitive to everything, i used to be able to use estee lauder double wear and now even that breaks me out. ive tried all the vitamins everyone has recommended, i tried clinique, stirvectin, hydrolic acid, now im on cerave the light blue bottle face wash, i tone put the hydrolic serum and face moisturizer im so close to giving up, my face just looks horrible now i have alot of scarring, still bumpy and red. its embarrassing, any recommendations welcomed!!
What’s the best eyeshadow palette you own? I’m looking for something versatile. I need nudes and shimmers, glitters would be a bonus but I also want some fun colors too like burgundy and olives. Any ideas?
Help! I’ve been wanting to get into makeup, but I don’t want to go to crazy, I just want to get simple basic stuff like concealer, foundation and powder. What would be the best, but cheapest foundation that doesn’t crease and pretty much stays on for a few hours. I want to stay within a 10 dollar price range.😊
I’ve always dealt with the occasional bump or breakout here and there, but that was it. And I didn’t even have a good skincare routine. BUT within the last 5-6 months everything has changed. I’ve been on low estrogen birth control for over a year and that hasn’t affected my skin. Last summer I started using It cosmetics cc cream and thought it might be causing breakouts so I stopped and went to tarte. My entire face stays broke out with deep and often painful bumps no matter what I do. I drink tons of water. I wash my face religiously. I have no idea what to do. Please send some advice/products my way
Ya girl over here needs help with my eyeshadow I don’t usually wear eyeshadow because I live in Arizona and summertime kills my makeup especially my eyes. Cause I tend to sweat underneath or sometimes around my eyes 👀. And I also think I have a type of eyelid that causes my eyeshadow to not be able to be see as great as normal eyelids. I think it’s called hooded eyelids and thank fully if I can still find them I found some videos that show how to get ur eyes to look better. But I don’t know where to start. First and foremost I don’t have money for anything expensive but could possibly splurge on a good item. If needed. I have green eyes 👀 that change colors sometimes and i dont know what shades would make my eyes look really nice and pop. And not sure with brushes or eyeshadow primers if that’s even what you call em haha 😂 ladies please feel free to give me any advice on eyeshadow or makeup in general cause I still would consider myself to be a newbie to the makeup world. I’m in desperate need of some help with this lol and I’ll only be able for the most part to buy products offline so give me any good tip y’all have I’d greatly appreciate it thanks so much 🔎🔎🆘💃🏼✨💁🏼♀️💅🏻🍀💄🙏🏼🤞🏼👗👠👜🕶🐛🦋🎯
I need a good hydrating, full coverage concealer. I’ve been using the tarte 16 hour wear, although it is hydrating, it isn’t giving me the coverage that I want. I have dry, very sensitive, and acne prone skin. I have tried other concealers such as maybelline, but it still gives my skin that dry patchy look even though I have a heavy moisturizer on. I would like to be able to have it match my skin tone since I don’t wear makeup as much. I need some recommendations!!
I have super acne prone skin and hate the way most foundations look on me. I want something that’s superrr glowy but has a good bit of coverage to cover my acne scarring. I would prefer it to be under 20$. Any reccomendations?
