I have dry, acne prone skin and I have been trying everything to get rid of my acne for the past year! nothing works (curology, neutrogena light mask, acne washes, tea tree oil, mario badescu- you name it!) does anyone have any recommendations for a natural at home remedy for acne? I’m done with all the chemicals ingredients on my face.

I know you said no chems but the only thing that worked for me was 1 session of a chemical peel (ask for 7 layers) and drink ONLY water in place of any other beverage. ONLy WaTeR!! Don’t believe me, look at my before and afters. Still can’t believe it’s me. - 1 session of a strong chemical peel -Drink Water ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -Oxy gently in circular motions until face starts feeling tingly. -and an oil free moisturizer! Let me know how it goes! Good luck!

Honestly I did like three to four different sessions of chemical peels and they really were life changing. Unfortunately for me my acne continued so I went on Accutane

I’ve been there and am still there some days (hormonal acne) but it’s gotten a lot better. My skincare is kinda crazy but it’s the only thing that works. I use a benzoyl face wash, witch hazel toner, face cream, vitamin C, and curology...yes..it’s a lot but works!

Just wondering what setting powders my dry skin ladies are using. I actually have only found one that works with my skin and that’s the hourglass veil powder. It’s just super expensive which if it works I gotta do what I gotta do but I’d like other recommendations just in case!

Us dry skin girls should stick to pressed setting powders the loose powders are usually better for oily skin. As for a loose powder that works with dry skin I say the Becca hydra mist set and refresh powder is really hydrating and unique but only if the shade works for you

My absolute favorite lip balm EVER is this rosebud salve (except they also have it in tubes if you don’t like the tin). I use it everyday and live by it!!

Ok girls! As we all know it’s getting cold outside. My face/body gets super dry in the winter and won’t hold ANY moisture. What are some good skincare tips, routines or masks to help with that??

I use Patchology masks as primer... leave mask on for 5 minutes then remove and let the remaining serum soak in ... then apply makeup for a dewy look!

Anyone know about a good drugstore (or drugstore price) moisturizer for dry sensitive skin that’s fragrance free? I recently used to use Glossier’s priming moisturizer then moved to using Embryolisse lait creme concentrate but lately I’ve been extra sensitive to fragrance I tried CeraVe’s moisturizing cream and works great on my body but it performs terribly on my face, then currently I’m using Simple’s replenishing ultra rich moisturizer for dry skin but it just seems to evaporate on my face (I try to overcompensate with face oil and my sunscreen but it’s still not enough/right)

This is extremely moisturizing and it’s fragrance free. A few months ago while I had to give myself these shots that made every single minor scratch I got turn into these horrible infections and every single product I put on my face caused awful allergic reactions and made my face peel (sorry if that was TMI), this was the only moisturizer I could use that didn’t irritate my skin while still keeping it well hydrated. You get a lot of product for the price too.

Any suggestions for setting powders? I currently use the airspun loose face powder in shade translucent and it gives me an ashy look. When I use it on my mother who is of darker complexion it works perfectly 😭 I get creases under my eyes as well.

What is the best mascara to hold a curl on straight lashes? I’ve tried tons and the only thing that seems to work for me is the too faced waterproof mascara. Just trying to see what works on everyone else.

my skin has been oily for years, i would get a pimple here and there when i usually ate one chocolate, skin has always been on the bumpy side though, and i have alot of uneven skin tone. now to try to get rid of the oils and bumpiness my sister recommend using the body shop tea tree soap, then the body shot vitamin c scrub and them the tea tree face mask and to sleep in it. i tried it and got chemical burn, completely broke me out and make my skin more sensitive to everything, i used to be able to use estee lauder double wear and now even that breaks me out. ive tried all the vitamins everyone has recommended, i tried clinique, stirvectin, hydrolic acid, now im on cerave the light blue bottle face wash, i tone put the hydrolic serum and face moisturizer im so close to giving up, my face just looks horrible now i have alot of scarring, still bumpy and red. its embarrassing, any recommendations welcomed!!

@Sandra Rivera having a good skin care regimen is always important. Making sure you cleanse and moisturize every morning and cleansing and toning every night as well. I’m using DermAware products right now for my whole skin care regimen. Has the dermatologist ever recommended chemical peels?

I know many people are suggesting exfoliation, but those areas are very sensitive. Before taking that route maybe try some healing products. Personally I use the eucerin aquaphor healing ointment (lifesaver while I was on accutane) and following up with a good oil such as bio oil (also good for scarring but pricey) or rosehip oil or marula oil.

Hello! I’ve struggled with acne since I was 12 and it continues to be painful and unsightly at 21. I’ve used oral medication and topical creams and nothing works. I currently use Cetaphil to wash my face, Thayers witch hazel toner, Neutrogena eye cream, and the Cetaphil moisturizer during the day. At night, I use the same as above but the Cerave moisturizer and Watermelon Illuminator Overnight Serum by HanHoo. I also take the Olly, Undeniable Beauty vitamin. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. ☺️

i use lush’s fresh farmacy face cleansing bar, and then i use the mario badescu’s aloe vera toner and the oil free neutrogena grapefruit lotion and then the mario badescu’s rose water spray. it can be a little expensive but i’ve honestly noticed such a big change. investing in good skin care was the BEST thing i ever did!

Hello lovelies!!! QUESTION do magnetic lashes with the magnetic eyeliners work? If so, which one works the best?

I used Moxie for months and the liner works well- through hot and humid Georgia summer weather. I’m not a huge eyeliner lover in general so I went back to my extensions but the liquid liner is a great option for someone who wants falsies and doesn’t want to fool with the glue. Just make sure to let the liner dry before sticking your lashes on.

I have tried MANY acne face washes including Murad, Dermalogica, CeraVe, Proactiv, and I’m currently using Proactiv MD. I’ve also tried getting acne facials and taking medication and putting many different topicals on my face given to me by my dermatologist. I’ve had really stubborn acne for 4 years, and it won’t go away! Is there a face wash that works for oily, acne prone skin?

My acne use to be really bad and these are the products I’m currently using and I’ve noticed a big difference in my skin. I really recommend the serum, it made my skin so much clearer, brighter and softer. If the witch hazel toner doesn’t work for you, you could try the heritage store one, they sell them at TJ MAXX for a cheaper price. The tea tree oil I use when I have really big pimples and the Aztec mask with vinegar I put on twice a week , as well as exfoliating. I use the biore foaming wash every morning & night as well as the toner & serum. I also recommend buying sun screen for your skin type, it helps your skin a lot.

Can someone recommend me a good translucent (loose) powder. I’m currently using a Ben Nye dupe and it works well but it makes my foundation just a little darker than its original shade (almost orange honestly). So what are your favorites or what do y’all recommend?!?
