Hydrated under-eye look!

SHADE: I have light-medium NC20 skintone (asian complexion with yellow undertones) and the shade 'Light' was the perfect match for a natural, brightened under-eye look.SKIN: I have very dry skin. I get where the serum factor comes from, because it really does hydrate the skin upon blending out. I find this works best when the warmth of your fingers helps melt product in- gives a healthy look under the eyes.FORMULA: This concealer has a thin, lightweight consistency, leaning more on the liquid-y side but is still mousse-y. HYDRATING. Out of a dozen concealers, this is the only one that has not emphasised any flaky skin, but rather help it. Medium coverage, but looks and feels just like bare skin (hehe, get it?). I do set it with a translucent powder. Lasts about 6 hours but I'm more than okay with that! It is incredible.PACKAGING: I love its simplicity. Not cheap, not luxe. Just durable and slim.FINAL VERDICT: I purchased this based on all the positive reviews, which was well deserved. It is a wonderful product, especially for those with dry skin who can't seem to find a concealer that doesn't look heavy on top of their dry skin. I've tried the infamous Nars, the two bestselling Maybelline ones and many more... this is my favourite. Less

Not longlasting. Settles in creases, accentuates pores.

I have dry-kind of combo skin, and the bareskin foundation did not work for me as well despite feeling great on the face/skin. So this may be a product for people who have a more normal or oily skin type. I think the ingredient/word "serum" in the bareminerals bareskin line does not seem to be skin-friendly with me. Instead of hydrating, I think the serum part just makes the product slip off my skin.I am currently an in-between shade between light and medium. The medium shade looked great and natural when first applied, while the light shade (chosen to brighten the undereye area) kind of had a ghostly effect - so going a lighter shade with this concealer did not work for me. The difference between the lighter shades and the darker ones are a big jump. For example, medium was like a perfect medium in my opinion, but the golden medium was like a rich rich (yellow) golden (tan-ish) medium. Dark for a medium. And the tan was for deeper shades, I think. The product is lightweight, no stickiness, and goes on smooth. But for me... When I tried using this concealer on top of primer and under foundation, the product disappeared along with my foundation in the area used with this concealer, leaving behind these accentuated white dots (pores with concealer stuck inside) on my face. Horrendous. It was like I used no primer. And it settles into creases. It was not be noticeable at first, but if I smiled and the skin around my eye area moved, there was a line of concealer there that had settled into an eye crease.Since the hype on this concealer was so good and I really wanted to like it, I tried to put it on after I used foundation on my face. My makeup turned out looking cake-y and thick. With this method, I didn't have the problem of concealer slipping off and settling in pores/creases so much, but instead it accentuated every bump and skin texture. After a few tries, it was returned. During this short time, no outbreaks from this product use. « less

Amazing consistency and look on the skin!

I instantly fell in love with this concealer upon swatching it. It has such a divine texture and blends like a dream. You also need less than you think, as it spreads easily.I don't think the coverage should be listed as "complete coverage", but the coverage factor is pretty good in itself. I find that almost any liquid-y concealer will give you just a bit more coverage if you allow it to sit for a little first, then blend it in. I usually let it sit for maybe 30 seconds to minute tops. You don't want it to dry down and then you can't blend it at all; find your perfect waiting time. I am fine with one layer, but if you really wanted to make it look absolutely flawless you could use a correcting concealer underneath to cancel out any blue or purple undertones.I chose the shade Medium, which is still pretty light. It's only slightly brightening on my skintone, but I like that because sometimes you don't want a super bright under eye/highlighted face look. It's just the perfect amount to make me look awake and healthy. I'll use this under my eyes and I'll apply a little on the bridge on my nose and then blend upwards to brighten in between my brows and slightly onto the forehead. It looks really nice on the skin. I do set it with a powder, but I normally do that to all my concealers. I do find it doesn't settle into my fine lines, which is a good thing. Good staying power too, but it's not a super long wearing, 24hr concealer.Overall, this concealer is fantastic! I thought I loved the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer a lot, but I honestly think I prefer the Bare Minerals BareSkin Concealer over that one! I really like this concealer and think it's worth giving a try! « less

A Target Audience

I should preface this by saying that I’m quite young and therefore I don’t have that many skin concerns as other buyers might have, but I’m here to talk about my personal experience. It’s a very light concealer, very natural upon application and if you have some mild “all-nighter” dark circles these should do the trick while looking VERY NATURAL. A single dot is all I use (not a line or patch at all!) and blended out looks almost undetectable from my regular skin texture. Stressing the natural and luminosity here, while bareMinerals may have a diverse product selection, this specifically product would do better directed towards the makeup minimalist or “no-makeup” type of look.It is pretty liquid so creasing should be expected, but I’m fairly young and I don’t use powders since lines have never bothered me. My skin would normally be dry but I make sure to always apply some moisturizer beforehand. If I have any dry spots under my eyes (at the exact area of product application) then I’ll forgo concealer entirely because no matter the coverage or finish, nothing would completely cover a dry patch of skin while still looking decent and real.Overall, this was an easy and safe product to use for my age so I’m very happy with it (the shade match is gorgeous! Perfect for me! I’m medium golden). However, if you are more advanced, or require MORE out of this product then a heavy duty concealer would be better for you (I hear greats things about NARS concealers!) Less

Fabulous

I purchased the bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealor to wear alongside the Complexion Rescue Tinted Gel as I thought this would give me a nice daytime base and I have not been disappointed. This was my first purchase from BareMinerals and I will definitely be returning for more. I wear this concealor mostly under my eyes where I suffer from dark circles and it has made a real impact. I only need to use a small amount as the texture is so creamy and the coverage so full. It blends softly into the delicate eye area and doesn't shift when I apply foundation or tinted moisturiser over the top. Sometimes I wear a corrector underneath if I feel my eyes are particularly dark and again it doesn't impact the concealor. Even wearing a corrector doesn't make the concealor go dry or give that chalky effect that can sometimes plague other products of this type. I love using this for my under eye circles. I do use it on occasional blemishes too and it has really given me confidence in my skin because it is like an airbrush - in photos you really can't see the blemishes. The more I use this product I find that it helps to use a concealor brush to blend in the product for blemishes to help build coverage, but I use my fingers for my eye area as this skin is more delicate. And I agree with other reviewers that using a powder to set the product helps it to last a lot longer during the day. I will have to go get myself some Mineral Veil now to do this too! Less

Anyone know of a concealer that’s not drying but will cover dark circles? Dark circles are in my genes so mine are pretty dark, and I haven’t found one yet that I am completely happy with. Then there’s also the fact that my skin under my eyes is super dry and can get bumps/bubbles when I apply certain concealers. Thanks! #concealer #dryskin #darkcircles

I just started using this and it seems to be great so far! I also have dry skin and dark circles. I would also recommend finding a real good eye cream and using it often. It can help reduce the dryness and also the dark circles.

What is the best concealer to use for dark under eyes? I have dry skin, and I don’t want the concealer to become creased.

Bare minerals has a really good, lightweight, hydrating concealer. Try that with a color corrector.

Literally better than Shape Tape, Nars, Born this way and every other concealer I’ve tried. I set it with beauty bakery’s flour powder and my under eyes look filtered.
