My go-to chapstick!

I love this stuff - texture and scent are lovely, it stays on and is not sticky or heavy. Keeps my lips from drying out. This tube lasts awhile too. I go out of my way to keep this chapstick in stock in my purse and at home.

Seems like it's changed formula

For the past several years I've bought about 6 of these per year, stashing them everywhere. They were my "go-to" lip solution. More recently I bought 3 sticks, all of them had a "gritty" texture, almost like there was sand in it or something. I went to the salon and asked if the formula had changed, they said I should just buy the $18.50 Nourish-mint because that has a smoother texture. Not sure if I got a "bad batch" of lip saver or if they changed it.

Hooked on the Lip Saver

I am definitely hooked on this product. I started using it upon recommendation of my stylist during a make-up touch-up. My lips were in bad shape (chapped and darkening) - and I have tried a number of cheap drugstore brands - even the medicated ones, but none worked. When I tried it, within the first use, my lips started feeling better and I loved the fact that it takes a lot (drinking water, eating, etc.) to take this product off - it stays really well on my lips. I was initially hesitant to pay this much for a lip moisturizer as I am used to paying $3 or less for these things, but the investment is worth it because it does not require a lot of reapplication anyway so it lasts much longer than the cheap drugstore brands. One time, I made the mistake of going back to the cheaper ones since my lips got better - and I absolutely regret it. Now, I cannot put any other product on my lips. My lips are absolutely hooked on this!

Very Effective for Lips

Great for use outside because of the SPF. Also, I use Lip Saver indoors and at night. Very moisturizing for lips and stays on! This product is not heavy or sticky. Lipstick can be applied after using Lip Saver.

24 hours & BETTER lips!

I use Aveda products from my salon and have really enjoyed them. But this winter was the last winter I wanted dry, cracked lips. I had read somewhere on a blog to give this a try awhile back and never did. But yesterday I saw it at the register at my salon and decided to give it a try. My go-to has been Chapstick Moisturizing for as long as it has been out (cherry before that) but hated that it felt sticky, had to reapply often and just didn't work (and hated the ingredients) but it was cheap (I tend to carry them in my pockets and lose them all the time so bought them in bulk). I applied the Lip Saver as I left the salon, ran errands and went back for a second tube, that is how fabulous this stuff is...and yes, I have tried so many lip balms over the years. The Lip Saver is not sticky at all, has a nice beautiful shine, smells pleasant and lasts a long time. I always put Chapstick on before bed (and always keep it at the side of my bed to reapply during night) so put this on instead and now 24 hours later (reapplied a couple of times during the day) and my dry, cracked lips are so soft and healing beautifully!!! No other lip balm will touch these lips again! Miracle in a tube!!

What’s a good lip product for extremely sensitive reactive skin? I’ve tried the Laneige sleeping mask and day balm, lanolips, carmex, softlips, all the little Vaseline tubs, literally EVERYTHING. No matter what I use, it leaves my lips worse off about an hour later. Would appreciate any recommendation!
