water resistance

water resistant

it is my go-to face makeup because it's matte so it controls the oil/sweat on my face, has just enough color to even my skin tone while allowing my freckles to show, blends well with other products, is waterproof through swimming and sweaty exercise, and is really effective as a sunscreen

- Ulta User

i currently live in the caribbean and this sunblock is truly sweat and water proof

- Ulta User

pore minimizing

pore minimizing

this is my third tube of australian gold tinted face lotion - this is my daily go-to spf and i actually love it with just a bit of mineral powder to set (sans any foundation) and it lasts nicely, protects my skin, doesn't clog my pores and the tint is natural and just blurs enough of my imperfections to give me the confidence to face my day

- Ulta User

this, i swear, makes my skin look better, almost better than my porefeshional by benefit

- Ulta User

blendability

blends well

i have medium olive skin and this blends in perfectly with my skin

- Ulta User

blends in well and has a wonderful consistency that works great for everyday under makeup

- Ulta User

gentleness

gentle

and no skin irritations whatsoever

- Ulta User

it dries down to a soft matte finish, plays beautifully under makeup, doesn't irritate my skin or break me out, isn't greasy at all, and the tint isn't too much even for my nw10 skin tone

- Ulta User

staying power

longlasting

my skin feels silky and it stays put

- Ulta User

even stays on in the heat and humidity

- Ulta User

texture

smooth

this tinted sunscreen makes my skin look smooth and even and i'm not getting the hyperpigmentation i usually get in the summer

- Ulta User

i was really surprised at how smooth this made my skin look

- Ulta User

mattifying

mattifying

with all the acids and treatments and potions i put on, i look like a wet seal most of the time, despite all the mattifying foundations and powders i use

- Ulta User

it has a mattifying effect which is perfect for me because my face can get oily throughout the day

- Ulta User

hydration

hydrating

doesn't feel cakey or dry

- Ulta User

i give wonderful matte coverage and is moisturizing

- Ulta User

weight

heavy

it feels heavy on the skin

- Ulta User

the tint showed slightly orange on my skin and was a bit too dark for me (fair, nc15)

- Ulta User

redness

causes flare ups

it left a grayish-reddish cast on my face which looked absolutely crazy, plus while rubbing it in, it crumbled into these tiny white crusty pieces that was so annoying

- Ulta User

the very exclusive combination of shea butter, multiple silicones and poor clogging red algae just did not work for me

- Ulta User

color accuracy

oxidizes

it was too dark on me made my skin appear a dull, orangey-pink color

- Ulta User

at first, i liked the spf amount and the bright matte finish once you first apply the product, but after about 30 minutes or so it oxidizes and my skin appears gray, which i thought wouldn't happen since the product is tinted

- Ulta User

finish

matte

it melts right in and leaves a nice non sticky matte finish that lasts for a while

- Ulta User

there's no pilling under my makeup, & it gives me nice, matte finish when worn alone

- Ulta User

coverage

low coverage

the coverage is lightweight, adds a satin finish to the skin while still looking very natural

- Ulta User

this one has great high protection, sheer coverage (i would even put this on my boyfriend), non greasy and feels nice on the skin

Great value I would repurchase.

Finally a sunscreen that does not make me look like I slapped grease on my face.it absorbs well and goes on real matte with a natural finish which is rare with most mineral sunscreens I end up looking ghostly white but not with this since it has a light beige tint to it but I will say that I do not recommend this for darker complexions because I am a light to medium skin tone and it does cast a little lighter on my skin tone but not enough for me to dislike the product.im not sure about how water resistant this is as I have not put it to the test but I have worn it all day and it has stayed put and to me this sunblock is so cheap making it even more worth it.oh and the last thing I want to mention is that if you have extremely dry skin this might not work for you unless you use a deep moisturizer underneath because it can be a little bit drying if you don't hydrate your skin first.i think this sunscreen would be heavenly for oily skin types.

Fail... for me at least.

I tried using this product many ways and it didn't work at all regardless. My skin is very dry so I have to moisturize pretty heavily day and night before makeup. This is the first SPF I have consistently used on my face because I didn't realize the importance of it. The tint is nice, and it did match my face and my foundation but it dried me out SO BAD. I tried this over my moisturizer (yes it was soaked in) and it balled up really easily. If you just rub it in with your hands like a normal lotion or sunscreen it balls up really badly. If you try to tap it in with a beauty sponge it just cakes on and looks splotchy. I experimented one day with applying it over top my very light coverage hydrating foundation. I didnt rub it in but I very lightly tapped it onto my face with my hands. The first day I did this, I was amazed and I got so many compliments. The second and third day I did this, complete disaster. Not sure why it looked so great one day and awful the next. It completely dried out my under eye area and made any wrinkles on my eyelids and under eye way more prominent. It's not like I purposely put it on those areas but it just ended up there. It would ball up and wipe off in some areas and stick to my dry patches. The exact same thing happened when I put it on top of my moisturizer and then tried putting foundation over it. My foundation wouldn't blend over it at all because it had already dried to a matte finish. The only way this kinda sorta worked was when no foundation or concealer was used under or on top. It eventually set pretty okay over my moisturizer but I wouldn't even classify it as light coverage. There's no coverage at all so if you are someone that uses foundation because you have things you want to cover such as redness or anything else, it won't do that. So this might be okay for someone with flawless skin that doesn't need to wear foundation but for me, wearing makeup with this SPF just wasn't an option. Sad because I wanted to love this.

The gods have smiled upon us

I am allergic to something that is found in most sunscreens, which is a pain in the neck, to say the least. I also have an oily T-zone that has defeated just about everything I've thrown at it. To top it all off, I'm also so pale that I've been known to glow in direct sunlight. All of these factors combine to form the unholy trifecta of foundation nightmares. I tried this sunscreen because I'd heard that it worked well as a mattifier, and I had a mattifying moisturizer that didn't have any SPF (and thanks to my vampire-esque skintone, you couldn't pay me to go outside without SPF on my face). I did a patch test--all good. So, I summoned my courage, quashed my fears of waking up with an army of tiny little bumps all over my face, and put it on my face. HOLY SUN PROTECTION, BATMAN. Not only does this stuff work, but it doesn't leave me with a white cast, it helps keep me matte, AND I don't react to it. Australian Gold, you have won a fan for life. I went out and bought a tube of the non-tinted for use on the rest of my pale self. If this is ever discontinued or the formula changed, a planetary implosion would be a highly probable consequence of my grief and distress.

No Breakouts!

I love this sunscreen! My holy grail, go-to SPF. It goes on smooth, blends in natural looking (no white pasty look like with most suncreens) and dries to a semi matte finish. Stayed on for 2 hours of swimming, but came off completely with my face cleanser. Normally sunscreen breaks me out...but I experienced no breakouts with this product.

Perfect sunscreen

I love this sunscreen. It has almost no scent(what scent it DOES have is not overtly sunscreeny), it isn't oily and it smooths out my skin, blurring pores and texture issues. I moisturize my face with a bit of Shea butter before I apply this so I don't have the problem of it drying out my skin like some people do. It gives my skin a satiny finish and makes a perfect base for my trusty mineral veil powder. This has no coverage, but it's a sun-screen - I didn't expect it to. The tint, which mostly serves to prevent a white cast rather than to offer any coverage, is a fair, peachy color. I was rather concerned that it would be a bad match for me, seeings as how I am pale with a yellow to neutral undertone. I am shade buff in Almay Clear Complexion makeup, shade CW00 Alabaster in Nyx Photogenic concealer and shade Fairly Light in Bareminerals Original Foundation, if that gives any idea what my skin color looks like. But still this sunscreen blended perfectly into my skin tone. What a pleasant surprise! This also makes a magnificent eye-shadow primer. Due to genetics I have hooded eyes, and making eye-shadow last for over an hour without creasing has always been a bit of a struggle. But, not with this stuff! Now it lasts for hours without creasing. I have been using this for about 3 weeks now and it hasn't irritated my skin or caused any problems. Haven't noticed any oxidation either. Love that it's not perfumed! I hope it works as well for others.

This one is pretty good. But I love the Coola brand sunscreen, it is a little more pricey but worth it.

This one! I definitely recommend only wearing it with moisturizer underneath. It’s mattifying and doesn’t leave you feeling oily at all.

I need a facial sunscreen that won’t leave a white film over my face. I have a medium/dark complexion so I always end up looking like a ghost. Any suggestions?

I’ve started using the Australian Gold Botanical Tinted Sunscreen and I love it. You definitely have to wear a moisturizer under it because it’s mattifying but it works great. The bottle is big enough that I can probably wear it everyday for a year.
