This is a beautiful palette; although it does have fallout ( I think most ABH palettes do) it’s still got the pigmentations, it blends well and it’s creamy and long lasting. I look at it as more of a night time , going out palette but the shimmers are just stunning ! #Beautyverse

Those Colors!!!

This palette has seriously been underrated. There are so many pros to love. The colors are very pigmented, blends like a dream, colors pack on even better and goes EXACTLY where I want it to, stays on all day without fading in color or creasing, but it washes off so easily with warm soap and warm water, and has very little fall out. I fell in love with this from the moment I saw it, but admit that I didn't buy it due to all the complaints. Then I started watching professionals use it. There is a completely different technique to using this palette and it is not a good beginner palette. You only need the SMALLEST amount of power on your brush and use the lightest hand to blend out. I literally just very lightly tap my brush on top of the shadow, then tap the loose powder of before I apply. I would recommend to watch videos of professionals if you are not used to working with shadows like this. After a few times of using it you will be in love if you apply it correctly. « less

Not The Same Formula ...

I bought this palette on a whim and tried it before any reviews released over the internet. I have ALL of Anastasia's palettes and some of the single eyeshadows. You can definitely say I am a fan and her shadows are by far some of my favorite. I bought this palette because it was different. First, it arrived broken but decided to take the risk and try it because it was sold out and was sure to love it. I have tan skin and I used "Dawn" as my first transition shade ... instead of it coming out to be a beige color as appeared, it turned very muddy and almost like a gray-brown. I did notice more kickback than most of her palettes and it seemed much more of a powdery consistency and very dry. It wasn't buttery and smooth like her other palettes (at least the mattes). Also, I never found myself swirling my brush in the pans with her eyeshadows ever, only a couple taps. With this one (and I mean with a gentle tap) it goes everywhere. You may just want to press and roll. Besides the fact of the fall out, the colors were hard to blend and looked patchy which I thought was weird. I watched reviews after I used it and thought I wasn't the only one. I really wanted to love it, but I could not get onboard. I think that compared to the other palettes she has done, the consistency was not the same. It felt powdery, dry, and cheap. The shimmers also lacked some pigmentation you cannot use them with a dry finger or without water. Being a fan of Anastasia's products, this palette was unfortunately a miss. If they changed the formula to what the modern Renaissance it, it could have potential to be a winner. « less

So Good!

I love this! It is a pure pigment palette, so a little dab will do ya, like you're taught in kindergarden. These are complimentary colors from the color wheel, so if you blend them all together in your crease, it will turn gray. That being said, you really don't need to blend many colors together to get stunning, highly pigmented looks. Just touch your brush in the color, tap it off, & place it where you want the most pigment to appear, then diffuse the color, while building slowly. That's how I apply eyeshadows, slowly building, until I get my disired blend. I've been waiting for a unique & beautiful palette like this and I feel ABH nailed it again! I have no issues at all. I've been using it everyday since I've had it and have gotten many compliments. I work long 12 hour shifts at a hospital and had zero fadeing, so I'm happy. I feel this is what ABH intended and I feel they were spot on. Yes, there is fallout, do your eyes first, same as the MR Palette, but these are even more pigmented. I'm so happy I trusted my gut and not all the negative reviews that clearly created way too much unnecessary drama. If you're not sure, go to the store and play with it to see if it's something that will work for you. It definitely works for me! « less

I’ll be borrowing this palette frequently!

I bought this for my 15 year old daughter. She doesn’t like it at all, but she collects palettes and was excited to display it with the rest of her ABH palettes. Whatever. Teenagers are weird. ANYWAY, I tried it yesterday and I am so in love! It’s replacing Naked Cherry as my favorite! She’s oh-so-generously letting me use it any time, but wants to keep it with the others. I feel like this is backwards. I’m the parent! I should be the one saying, “yes, you can borrow my makeup, just be sure to put it back where you found it!” I used these without primer, over my Marc Jacobs foundation (set with a little Makeup Forever microfinishing powder for added smoothness). The shadows blend easily, pigmentation is good and the color is buildable. Yes, there is a lot of kickback. After dipping into the shadows, I tap my brushes vertically with the bristles facing upward, so loose product settles into the brush and isn’t wasted. I experience zero fallout with this method. I test the staying power by sleeping on a white pillowcase with my makeup on. There was very little transfer to the fabric and the colors pretty much stayed in place.

I need a good eyeshadow palette recommendation. Preferably ones with NEUTRAL BROWNS and not orangey browns. But I’m open to all other colors 💗
