before i tried this brand i always bought urban decay but their singles are like $18-$22 and start creasing on me in the 3 hours even with their primer but these i can wear for 14 hours no problems and theyre like $12

i used the eyeshadow for my friend's wedding on the bride herself and on myself and was floored by how gorgeous it looked, how well it blended out and how long it lasted

The Good and the Bad

The color selection and the idea of customizing a palette is great so I wanted to give Anastasia a try since I've used some of her other products and they were great. I got 4 colors and there were good things and bad things about each. I applied these dry without primer.Intense Gaze and China Rose: Very pigmented and pretty. Only flaw is that they faded pretty fast, even when putting on a generous amount. It especially faded at the crease and left a line of color just at my lash line.Iridescent Purple: Performed the same as Intense Gaze and China Rose except it lasted a few hours longer and didn't end up pooling on my lash line. This color also left little blackish flecks that gathered in my crease. Out of each color I tried, this was my least favorite because of the flecks.Electro: Not very pigmented so I don't wear this color by itself. But it's a great color for blending and mixing with other colors. Had a longer lasting time than the other three colors I tried.Unfortunately I found the formula pretty lacking and I have both cheaper and more expensive eyeshadows that last longer, are more pigmented, and go on smoother. Maybe the Anastasia eyeshadow formula is just not compatible with my skin type, but I wish it were because I love the colors. « less

fantastic shadows with great color range

these are excellent shadows. I have most of them and they're all great. the shimmers need a glitter glue if you have oily or hooded lids or they'll creep up to your crease. the mattes are soft and blend beautifully. the glitter shades have a nice oily base so they don't have a ton of fall out. the black is an excellent black that stays put and deepens the other shades perfectly. the star of the show is the brown mattes and the red based colors, which never go patchy and the color is true to pan. you can create any look with these. they aren't as expensive as some other shadows and I like that you get one free with the purchase of 3 other shades as well as getting a mini palette to store them for quick looks for travel. these are easy for a beginner and great quality for a pro. Anastasia makes some of the best shadows out there. you never have to wonder if the quality is going to be good. you know it's good. I highly recommend these shadows. Less

Beautiful and Costumizable

I picked up 4 eye shadows and will go through them individually.Burnt Orange Matte - ultra-matte deep orangeSeriously such a great transition or crease color, flawlessly buttery and soft. Not a lot of fall out, but is pigmented with amazing bendability. Would recommend to everyone as an everyday shade or for warm Smokey eyes. Not crazy "orange", but a perfect deep warm color.Gem - satin peachThis shade is truly satiny- it goes on silkily, no drag at all with wonderful payoff. The eye shadow is very soft, so expect some fallout, but the color is amazing for all over the lid, everyday shade. Very professional and even seems to "smooth" my eyes, baring natural elegance. Again, would recommend to everyone.Gleam - satin frosted chiffonPerfect inner corner shade, not patchy at all. Sort of a off white that doesn't look gray on the eyes, very cream like and light beige, but with a satin finish. Texture similar to Gem, but softer.Pink Champagne - titanium pinky beige shimmerVery sparkly, recommend a primer (I used Too Faced Glitter Glue Primer and worked great) to last. The shadow is harder and happily, not a lot of fallout. Depends on how it is applied to the lid; with a light hands and a few pats, it adds more dimension on top of another shadow for a everyday glimmer, but turns really metallic and flashy with some fix plus and really packed in.Overall: Greatly surprised by just how good the colors are for only 12$, will very surely be expanding my collection from this brand soon. « less

hiiiiiie! when i do my eyeshadow i use a load of white or light peachy beige to blend and use as a base color, and i run out of it so fast!! i'm tired of buying whole new palettes when i don't need to, so i was wondering if anyone could recommend a brand that sells a single pan of matte white or matte light peachy-ish beige? thanks much 🥰 #recommendations #brands #eyeshadow #singles #matte
