my acne has always been a huge insecurity of mine, until recently I started forcing myself to see it as normal rather than a disease. I’ve tried many products but they never have really cleared me up. I’ve heard that raw African black soap is really good for acne (which I have quite a bit of) my skin used to be a lot worse years back but never to the point of cystic acne, as of right now it’s very controlled but I break out easily. Any advice on what brand has the best raw black soap or any good cleansers to clear up acne? I don’t have much acne but I do have the little tiny bumps that won’t go away and a few acne bumps here and there.

What helps with body acne especially on back and shoulders ? I’ve tried the neutrogena body wash and African black soap and it’s still so bad #skincare #bacne #acne #bodyacne

Does anyone know anything about skin care? I need suggestions for a routine to stick to. Nothing works for me (sadly including African black soap)and I’m beginning to run out of hope for my skin. I have combination, but more oily skin. I don’t get big breakouts (besides the occasional “under the skin” pimples) but I get EXTREMELY bad blackheads which turn into bad acne. I also pop them sometimes which I know is bad. I don’t have a big budget to keep buying things only for them not to work. I just need a routine of products I know will work. I’ll take any suggestions because I have never had a bad reaction to anything.

When I had bad breakouts, I started to use products from Kate Somerville to help clear my skin. It’s not drug store but it helped a lot. I’d check it out and read abt it first.

hey! no matter what i try, i cant get rid of all of my acne. it’s not too bad right now, however i still break out in little groups. ive tried like everything - drug store brands, name brands, proactiv, curology, everything. i am currently using african black soap as a face wash. it seems to be working okay but i want something that actually works really well!

I really recommend this product to you because I have also tried other products and nothing really seemed to work. But when I tried this product, my skin became brighter and the acne started to fade. Now that I have used this product for about 3 weeks now, my skin feels so much better. I only use it once a day because it has a high amount of benzoyl peroxide. It can dry out my face if I use it multiple times a day. It's also budget friendly, so it was even better. Hope you get to try it!!

Looking for recommendations for a good scrub for oily, congested skin! (I already use AHAs/BHAs, but sometimes I just need to use a physical exfoliator for my verrryyy oily, acne prone skin) I’ve been using the Botanics shine-away scrub and it’s just not.. scrubby enough for me. I prefer something with smaller particles in it (like Aveda’s tourmaline charged scrub— which I love but is expensive) Thanks in advance! 💖 #oilyskin #scrub #lookingfor

@lacey newton apricot scrubs are horrible for skin! they cause micro tears that will cause scars as the skin ages. i used to use this all the time and loved it but my dermatologist gave me a whole pamphlet on the negative effects of them 😕

I don’t know which order to use my skin care in? Like i’ve tried to look it up but it’s no help. I have African Black Soap, Makeup Remover, Toner, Elf Hydrating Jelly Mousturizer, Ponds Lotion, and Clean & Clear Overnight Acne Treatment. What order am i supposed to use these in? Do i add or take out anything?

1. Remove all makeup with makeup remover 2. Cleanse the skin with your cleanser (African black soap) 3. Toner 4. Hydrating moisturizer 5. Overnight spot treatment

yes they are good for your back and chest, not so much the face. you also have to get the real african black soap. the bars that they sell at target or walmart are not considered “real black soap”

Skin Care night✨ lately I’ve been so busy and everything has been so hectic, and my skin has really been showing it. But tonight once I got home I decided to take the time to treat myself a little bit and relax with a little skin care routine. I took my makeup off with my FaceHalo (as daily), then followed with the African Black Soap mud mask. I really needed that detox, and I think I forget how good this mask is sometimes. I left it on for about 25 minutes. Then I applied the eye brightening serum to my delicate eye area, used a hemp brightening serum not listed on areas that I didn’t put the eye serum and patted it in. My eyes still felt worn, so I used Kylie Skin eye cram under my eyes. I finished with a little bit of the Murad acne clearing serum on areas other than my eye area, and the hangover setting spray. My skin feels super refreshed and is glowing like it hasn’t in weeks, so I wanted to document what I did🙃. I also used a lash serum, I’m not sure if the one tagged is the right one but it seems like it. I have a travel size that was given to me.
