The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because I really like the texture of it. It's slick but not oily, and thick enough to stay put but not super waxy and heavy feeling like some lip balms can be. Unfortunately, that's the extent of my positive review for it. I had always heard really good things about the Dr. Bronner's soaps so when I saw this lip balm in the store I thought I would give it a try, hoping it would be just as good as the soaps. I really liked the list of ingredients and I was excited to use it. I only put it on before bed and after just 1 or 2 nights my lips started to feel really tight and dry. I thought maybe it was from having the heat cranked up as it's the start of winter now, and it was drying out my lips. So I kept applying this lip balm to protect them and after just 2 days my lips were incredibly dry, flaky, and one spot ended up cracking open. I couldn't open my mouth very wide at all or it would pull on the skin and it would start to crack in other places, which was painful. So I started healing my lips by applying coconut oil to them a million times a day. After about a week or so they were finally back to normal and I didn't think much of it. After a couple weeks I realized I hadn't used this lip balm in a while and decided to try it again. But here I am, after 2 nights and a total of 2 applications just for bed time, my lips are dry and flaking and cracked again. I didn't put the two together before but I definitely have now. I'm so sad about it. I really wanted to like this lip balm but when it makes my lips 10 times worse than they were before ever using it, I just can't. My cheap novelty Hershey's chocolate lip balm works better than this stuff. Less

I love this stuff! I have been using it since I've received them. I gifted one to my mother out of the package and she was happy too! I have psoriasis in many areas, including my face and lips. It is horrible and constantly drying out my skin. I decided to give this "BEST LIP BALM" a shot, I was even more swayed into trying the item once I realized all of the ingredients are natural and no harsh chemicals. This means no matter how much I apply I never have to worry about ingesting harsh chemicals :). When I put this stuff on my very chapped/peeling lips, it is instantly cooling from the peppermint, which I love and it is long lasting! It smoothes my lips and does give them a glossy shine. I have actually tried using this lip balm on my stubborn psoriasis elsewhere (face, arms, even behind my knees, and tops of my feet). The cooling peppermint is very nice and even helps relieve some or all of the itch. I love it! Any questions? Please feel free to ask! Excellent product with a long lasting flavor that doesn't feel heavy...and best of all doesn't dry out your lips so you have to apply it 9943728347923 times a day like other inferior products. Buy this stuff! 

If you're considering buying this, then the chances are you've been disappointed by many chapstick manufacturers. The problem with me was it seemed as if all the chapstick I used was only a temporary solution. My lips would feel great after application, but 30 minutes later I would be frantically looking for my chapstick again. I started thinking my lips were just so dry that I needed a better quality chapstick. I started with Vicks, then moved to Burt's Bees, and gradually moved up the scale until I was paying $8 per tube for Jack Black.Anyway, this fall I decided I needed something new and wanted something completely natural. I quickly found this chapstick and while I had never heard of the brand, I liked all the positive reviews. So I paid the $12 to get the chapstick. When I ordered it, I thought I would only get 1 tube, but due to misreading the description I was pleasantly surprised that I received a total of 4!As soon as I applied it I could tell the chapstick was high quality. It's hard to describe, but this chapstick seems to slightly melt the moment it touches your skin and glides across your lips completely evenly. It was very different from any other chapstick I tried, which often ended up being applied unevenly causing it to form clumps in the corners of my mouth.I've also found that I am applying this chapstick much less frequently. I've owned this product for nearly two weeks now, and I've probably applied it no more than 10 times. Previously I would regret forgetting my chapstick at home, but with this lip balm I can go 24 hours or longer without my lips re-chapping. I would say my lips will feel very healthy for 4-12 hours after each application.I know it may seem crazy to some to spend $12 on chapstick, but it is definitely worth it. If you think it's too pricey, just sell the 3 extra tubes to your friends for $4. Less

My son is on accutane treatment for acne, and has really dry skin and lips. He really likes this chapstick because of it's thick consistency that stays on for a long time. The peppermint is also nice.
